Busta Rhymes Seen In Club Altercation At French Montana’s Album Party

Busta Rhymes recently attended French Montana’s album release party for Mac & Cheese 5 in New York City, but he found much more trouble than he anticipated. Moreover, a video surfaced via The Shade Room on Instagram of him, his entourage, and security getting into it with rapper Nizzle Man. Apparently, from what the video shows, he was struggling to get into Busta’s section at the club. Nizzle fell down (whether he tripped or was pushed, we don’t know), and you can see the BLOCKBUSTA MC in his face aggressively as he pushes him away from their space at the event.

Furthermore, these two artists don’t have any previous beef from what the media has been able to gather. As such, this is a pretty bizarre incident that could have a million different explanations, but a pretty minor thing in the grand scheme. After all, Busta Rhymes had to handle a lot of different hectic and sometimes confrontational moments during his The Final Lap tour supporting 50 Cent. But what he remembers the most from this trek -– or one big part of it -– is just how much the G-Unit mogul’s work ethic impressed him.

Busta Rhymes Confronts Nizzle Man At French Montana’s Album Party: Watch

“Big up to 50 Cent for bringin’ us out there on his Final Lap tour,” Busta Rhymes remarked to Big Boy during a recent interview earlier this month. “Not only was that probably the most incredible tour that I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on many. I’m saying that because every night, every arena was sold out. I’ve never been on a tour for five months. […] My last show was November 21. He’s still on that same tour. 50… that’s one thing. He don’t play with that work.”

Meanwhile, another beef that the lyrical legend faced recently was with Benzino, who called him out for his collaboration with his daughter, Coi Leray. “My thing first and foremost is Benzino has my number and he knows how to reach me,” he told Angela Yee during a recent interview. “You ain’t gotta address me about nothing on no social media ‘cause you got my phone number.” For more news and the latest updates on Busta Rhymes, stay up to date on HNHH.

Symba Thinks He’s A Better Rapper Than Eminem

Eminem’s status as a rap legend has been a topic of debate lately. Bay Area rapper Symba recently made the statement that he believes he’s a better rapper than the “Mockingbird” rapper. Symba’s perspective came to the forefront during a panel discussion titled “The Great Debate” at REVOLT World in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend. In this spirited exchange, Symba expressed his belief that he surpasses Eminem in the realm of rap. He believes that “anybody can rhyme words,” and even doubled-down on his statement by saying that he could name five better rappers than Eminem.

While acknowledging his respect for Eminem as a person, Symba drew a sharp distinction when assessing their respective rap abilities. “I respect Eminem on a level as a man,” Symba started. “But as a rapper, I feel like I can name five better rappers.” One of his fellow panelists, Tierra Whack, didn’t beat around the bush and posed the direct question, asking, “Wait, so, you think you’re better than Eminem?” Symba took a moment to think about it, but then responded with a direct “Yes.” He continued and said, “Anybody can rhyme words, [but] what are you saying?”

Symba Speaks At REVOLT World

However, Symba provided context and reasoning for his statement. He elaborated on his position, emphasizing that in the world of rap, it’s not just about rhyming words. He feels what truly sets a rapper apart is the depth of substance and the impactful message portrayed through their lyrics. Symba, who proudly reps the Bay Area, has hits of his own. His messages in his music could be seen as impactful, too. His 2022 album Results Take Time, for example, featured prominent artists such as Roddy Ricch, 2 Chainz, and Pusha T. This was the album that helped put him on the map and showcased his authentic rhymes and style of delivery.

This ongoing debate about Eminem’s position in rap continues to fuel discussions. It usually brings up interesting conversations about the essence of true artistry in hip-hop and whether Eminem’s celebrated status as the “Rap God” remains unchallenged. Other than Symba not putting in Eminem in his top five, there’s many people around the world who do. Eminem’s successful rap career has earned him around ten No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as an estimate of 115 million records sold worldwide. Most recently, Eminem made a surprise performance at 50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour in Detroit, where his daughter Hailie was in attendance and spoke on how excited she was. Busta Rhymes Says Swizz Beatz & Pharrell “Fixed” Him

Busta Rhymes is unquestionably one of the most impressive, skilled, and impactful MCs to ever touch a mic. In fact, he just received BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award this year, marking the success and influence of his 35-plus-year career in the game. However, titans like him are not immune to struggle and hardship, and he recently credited fellow legendary peers as a path past those issues for him at one point in his life. Moreover, he sat down with Ebro in a new and engaging Apple Music interview, which was published on Friday (June 30). Although the 51-year-old rapper didn’t go into personal detail, he expressed gratitude to Pharrell and Swizz Beatz for getting him through trying times.

“There’s been some times in the last four-five years where I needed to make some changes that was very serious changes, personally and professionally,” Busta Rhymes remarked. “Because I’m the type of person where I love hard and I’m loyal to the point where it can be a burden as opposed to the loyalty being a blessing. I became so complacent in this space that it was starting to harm me. And I needed to talk to somebody and try to help get a navigation to help me reach to the destination that I needed to reach to get up out of that, and get back to my happiness and my peace of mind.”

Busta Rhymes’ Apple Music Interview

“Pharrell and Swizz very specifically in this area of my life, in this time of my life, were just the two people that I was able to trust with my most vulnerable space,” he continued. “Not only did I trust [them] with the truth, them n***as helped fix Bus Rhymes.” Overall, it was a very powerful sentiment that echoed his Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech at the 2023 BET Awards. During it, he emotively went over the highs and lows of his life and career and offered some advice to the younger generation.

Meanwhile, the Leaders of the New School founder recently released his single “BEACH BALL” with BIA. Anticipation for his next album is at an all-time high as a result, and it will surely be a special moment. Busta Rhymes Blasts Rappers Performing With Backing Tracks

When it comes to pure spitting, few rappers have garnered the respect, acclaim, and experience that Busta Rhymes has. Moreover, he graced fans in Las Vegas with an excellent set at the Lovers & Friends Festival on Saturday (May 6). While he mostly stuck to proving his worth by going through his impressive catalog, he also took the chance to call out the younger generation in hip-hop. According to the New York MC, spitters these days have lost the art of live performance, depending on vocal backing tracks and other elements to elevate their shows. For someone as skilled as him, those extra nuts and bolts aren’t necessary.

Specifically, Busta Rhymes said that his contemporaries are “cut from a different cloth that they don’t manufacture anymore. “We come from a time where there was no additives. no unnecessary mixing, and diluting, and tampering with the holy, sacred, and pure. We [are] the holy, sacred and pure.” After his words, he launched into his verse on Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now,” one of his most revered recent lyrical offerings. In fact, he even performed that verse at the 2023 Grammys during the tribute to 50 years of hip-hop.

Busta Rhymes Isn’t A Fan Of Rappers Using Backing Tracks

Of course, the “Gimme Some More” artist isn’t above stage flourishes and visual aids to make his performances better. Still, the main takeaway from his appearances is his proficiency and talent as a writer and performer. Whether it’s because of the high standards they faced or a changing perspective on concerts, Busta Rhymes’ generation seems committed to preserving excellent hip-hop performance. Even though there’s more than one way to skin a cat, it’s also reflective of fans demanding more from the beloved artists they pay hard-earned money to see.

Meanwhile, the 50-year-old continues to get his flowers, whether from fans or from fellow hip-hop legends. Melle Mel recently argued that Busta deserves more praise than Jay-Z. “Could Busta take Jay-Z, yes or no?” he asked during an interview. “I don’t have no fear of getting on stage with anybody and crossing mics with anybody. Busta’s a hard draw. That would probably be the hardest draw in the game. He got all the intangibles. When he comin’ on that stage, if you out in the crowd, you know something is about to happen. It ain’t just the regular run of the mill ‘I can’t wait for him to do so-and-so song. It’s that magnetism. It’s like a different level that all MCs don’t have that he got.” Regardless of your take, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Busta Rhymes.

Melle Mel Believes Busta Rhymes Is Better Than Jay-Z

Melle Mel continues his rap hot takes, as he said that Busta Rhymes is better than Jay-Z. Moreover, it seems like those comments came from the same interview in which he said Eminem is only considered a top five rapper because he’s white. Of course, that assessment set the Internet on fire for a bit, but this take seems a bit more nuanced. Furthermore, it sounds as if the Furious Five member spoke primarily of both’s abilities as MCs. At the end of the day, he sided with Busta for his magnanimous stage presence and his intangible yet hard-hitting talent.

“But now my point is, could he go up against Busta Rhymes?” Mel said of Jay-Z referring to Billboard‘s greatest rappers of all time list. “Could Busta take Jay-Z, yes or no? I don’t have no fear of getting on stage with anybody and crossing mics with anybody. Busta’s a hard draw. That would probably be the hardest draw in the game. He got all the intangibles. It’s a certain thing that Busta got that a lot of MCs don’t got. When he comin’ on that stage, if you out in the crowd, you know something is about to happen. It ain’t just the regular run of the mill ‘I can’t wait for him to do so-and-so song. It’s that magnetism. It’s like a different level that all MCs don’t have that he got. I’ll ride with Busta. If you got the list in front of you, where is Busta on that list?

Melle Mell Says Busta Rhymes Is Better Than Jay-Z

“On an overall 360 of an MC: the pen game, the studio game, the rap game, but the stage presence, that’s got to be in the equation,” he continued. “And absolutely, Busta’s stage presence is better than Jay-Z. Absolutely. I mean, it’s no denying that. Did you see where Busta is on that list? 33. Now, it ain’t [32] guys that can take the guy. That’s my point. Now if he’s 33, it’s not [32] guys that’s gonna say, ‘I want Busta, I wanna do the Verzuz.’ Don’t nobody want him. It ain’t gon’ happen. He could call dudes out. It’s not gonna happen. The type of MC that Busta is is more along the lines of what we was trying to do back in the day. You take your lunch pail to work, you go to work, and you work hard.

“It’s not like, as time went along, the industry kind of guy, the entrepreneur kind of guy, the guy that can do three or four things, he makin’ all different kind of money,” he concluded. “You know what I mean? And there’s a place for those guys and there is greatness in that. But I’m talking about 24/7, 365 days a year, wake Busta up out his sleep, wake Melle Mel up out his sleep, wake Caz up out his sleep, give this n***a a mic. Something gon’ happen. That’s my opinion of MCing, and my opinion should count more that the guy from the Vibe. ‘Cause there’s no way that Busta Rhymes is 33 in the greatest rappers of all time when, who’s gonna rap with the guy?” Let us know your take in the comments and return to HNHH for more hot takes in the rap game.
