Fugees Reunion Tour Will Continue In 2024, Wyclef Jean Claims

Wyclef Jean recently sat down for a new interview with AllHipHop, and he had a lot of different topics to talk about. One of these is his own musical endeavors and next career moves, but he also spoke on the Fugees’ postponed reunion tour shows and whether they’ll hit the road together again. Of course, the Haitian legend’s word is not super-solid confirmation of this, because we can’t really know for sure until the dates are set in stone. But we’re very excited about this trek still being in the cards for the group members. Not only that, but the 54-year-old also teased future collaborations with another hip-hop superstar.

“I would say to everybody we’re picking back up on the Fugees tour this year,” Wyclef Jean posited, who recently released the financially conscious single “Paper Right.” “If you missed the Fugees last year, catch the Fugees this year. Another big thing I’m excited about is my Netflix movie called Prince of Port au Prince, which is based on my childhood and how I escaped poverty through imagination, so look out for that. That’s going to be amazing. Me and Lil Wayne, we’re in the studio working on some secret, cool music. So, yeah, a lot of good things to look out for in 2024. We’re coming for sure. One hundred percent.”

In fact, it’s curious that Wyclef Jean mentioned these Lil Wayne collabs, because he seems really tight with the Fugees as a whole. He even freestyled onstage with them and performed “A Milli” during a November show, and even other rappers couldn’t help but express shock and awe. The Game remarked that this performance gave him chills, and a lot of fans who caught it in person or online seemed to agree. Hopefully there are even more great moments like these for these supposedly upcoming shows.

Meanwhile, this reunion tour falls under some bizarre context thanks to member Pras’ legal troubles as of late. While it’s unclear how much this will affect these upcoming shows, it seems like everyone will be able to move on just fine. Are you looking forward to these next moves? Let us know in the comments and come back to HNHH for the latest on Wyclef Jean and the Fugees.

Lil Wayne Reveals What’s Preventing Hot Boys Reunion

It’s no secret that B.G.’s been pushing for a Hot Boys reunion since he was released from prison late last year, and luckily, it looks like Lil Wayne is open to the idea. During a recent appearance on YG’s 4HUNNID podcast, he revealed what it would take to get a reunion tour underway. According to him, only a few logistical issues are holding them back.

“We’ve spoken about it a few times but, you know, they have situations. Like B.G. just coming home so he gotta figure out: can he tour? Can he travel? And things like that,” he explained. “Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around.”

Lil Wayne On Hot Boys Reunion

While Lil Wayne says that the hold-up is due to B.G., he’s been the most vocal proponent of a reunion by far. Shortly after calling Weezy a “b*tch” on “Gangstafied” with Finesse2tymes, he took to Instagram Live to clear things up. “I tell a n***a I love him and call him a b***h all in the same sentence, man,” he described. “You know what I’m saying? You know? Man, look, this family business, man. You know what I’m saying? Shout out to my little brother Weezy too, man. I talked to my little brother last night, man, you know what I’m saying?”

He continued, “Say Juve, there’s people on my line, man, about this Hot Boys reunion… Weezy, stop playing, man. It’s a big bag involved, man. Ya heard me? I know you super rich. I know you like Taylor Swift outchea. Come on, man. Stop playing, man. Let’s get to this bag.” What do you think of Lil Wayne claiming that the only thing currently preventing a Hot Boys reunion tour is B.G.’s travel restrictions? Do you hope they reunite soon? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Pras Reveals He Only Learned Of Fugees Reunion Last Week

Last week, Lauryn Hill announced that she’d be celebrating the 25th anniversary of her iconic album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill with a tour. She’ll kick things off next week with a performance in Minneapolis, before going on to perform in over 15 cities. Hill will also be joined by some very special guests. For obvious reasons, fans are thrilled to celebrate her 1998 solo effort with her live.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is and was a love song to my parents, my family, my people, my musical and cultural forebears, my teachers, my loves, my Creator,” she said in a press release. “I wrote love songs and protest songs—(still love songs) about the subjects and interests that inspired and moved me. I was confident that what inspired me would resonate with an audience that had been led to believe that songs of that kind could only live in the past.” Koffee will join her on the tour, as well as her Fugees groupmates Wyclef Jean and Pras.

Pras Says He Heard About The Reunion Through The Media

News of the Fugees reunion was as a welcome surprise for fans. It looks like it was a surprise for Pras, too. TMZ Hip Hop recently chatted with the artist about the tour, and whilst sipping on a smoothie, he revealed that he just learned about it last week. They reunited again back in June at the 2023 Roots Picnic, which also took the performer by surprise. At the time, however, reps told fans to “stay tuned!!!” Pras is in the midst of some legal trouble, but luckily, he appears to be in good spirits.

In April of this year, Pras was given a guilty verdict in his federal conspiracy case. He’s currently awaiting sentencing, which could leave him spending up to 20 years behind bars. He seems confident, however, that since getting a new lawyer his legal team is “handling it.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Pras and Fugees.
