Quavo’s ‘Shooters Inside My Crib’ Video Shows Persistence Pays Off

In 2021, Migos completed the rollout for Culture III, dropping videos for “Straightenin,” “Why Not,” “Roadrunner,” and “How We Coming” in addition to hosting their own three-day festival in Las Vegas and appearing on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series. Now that they’ve reestablished their grip on pop culture as a group, though, it looks like they’re making another go at dropping solo releases. The first is Quavo’s new single, “Shooters Inside My Crib,” which dropped with an exuberant, flex-filled video.

Made up of both documentary-style footage of Quavo and his Migos fam on tour and in the studio and performance shots of Quavo crooning in luxury hotels and restaurant kitchens, “Shooters Inside My Crib” finds the band’s de facto frontman reflecting on the grind and the eventual benefits thereof. Decked out in glittering chains with diamond-covered Yoda pendants and banging away on his piano at home, Quavo shares his thoughts on remaining patient and persistent until patience and persistence pay off. “I was patient, now my ice go glacier” he sings on the chorus. “I was trapping out the vacant ’til I got some paper.” With Quavo preparing to release the long-awaited follow-up to his solo debut Quavo Huncho, it looks like there will be more of the same on the way.

Quavo Loses Bet To Drake After UGA Wins Championship

Quavo and Drake bet on the College Football National Championship, as the Georgia Bulldogs faced the Alabama Crimson Tide. Quavo won and is rubbing it all in Drizzy’s face. Drake Loses Football Bet To Quavo Quavo took to Instagram, taking a photo outside the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, reminding Drake about their bet.  The […]

Quavo Says Drake Is Ducking Him After Losing Their Bet On The College Football Championship

Drake’s got a plethora of hobbies — collecting women’s bags, shooting hoops with NBA players, and even hitting the links with his uncle — but the one that’s undoubtedly cost him the most over the years is his penchant for sports gambling. In 2019, Future revealed that the two spent their whole joint tour gambling. Drake’s had his share of ups and downs but after Monday’s College Football National Championship, he owes Quavo big.

Quavo, who backed his home state Georgia Bulldogs, called out Drake, who bet on the Alabama Crimson Tide, on Instagram, joking that his Canadian compadre was ducking his calls after Georgia beat Alabama, 33-18. “He ain’t answer the phone,” said Quavo. “I need my chips with dip, baby. I need my chips with dip.” The two rappers had engaged in some cheerful trash talk before the game after Quavo posted a photo of them, warning Drake, “U kno why I’m here @champagnepapi we are locked in we are down.” Drake replied, “Run me my bread right after nice and slow no sudden movements.”

It looks like Drake is regretting that bet, but in actuality, you could say he’s really just paying Quavo back after Alabama beat Georgia in the National Basketball Championship a couple of years ago. He’s probably already hoping to get it back in this year’s tournament, so good luck to both Alabama and Georgia, because this is one rivalry that’s entertaining even without the drama on the field.

Quavo Is Being Sued For Assault By A Las Vegas Limo Driver Who Claims The Rapper’s Crew Beat Him Up

Quavo of Migos is being sued by a Las Vegas limo driver, who claims that the rapper and his entourage beat him up over the summer when he supposedly left behind a member of the group. According to TMZ, the driver’s suit says that on July 3, he was hired to take the group to the Virgin Hotel, but when someone has left at the club where he picked them up, the passengers started yelling at him — which escalated to one of them throwing a bottle at him.

The bottle throw apparently triggered a larger attack, with five of the passengers punching and kicking the driver while hotel staff and security fled back inside the hotel. The driver is suing Quavo, Migos Touring, and the Virgin Hotel for unspecified damages, due to physical injuries, mental stress, and “disfigurement.”

Quavo was most recently subject to police investigation stemming from video of an elevator altercation with his ex, Saweetie, that depicted her swinging at him, and him slinging her to the floor of the lift. However, it was later reported that neither would face charges for the fight, which happened at some point before the announcement of their breakup. Quavo later noted that “We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from. I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall.”

Bobby Shmurda’s Confidence Is At An All-Time High With Quavo And Rowdy Rebel On ‘Shmoney’

Since his release from prison back in February, fans of Bobby Shmurda have been looking forward to new music from him. Unfortunately for their hopes, new songs from Bobby have come at a slower rate than they expected. Thankfully, with a couple of weeks left in the year, the New York rapper is back with a new track for them to enjoy and it’s a record that finds him paired with Quavo and longtime collaborator Rowdy Rebel. Together, the trio brings their talents together for “Shmoney.”

The new single is quite the boastful release as Bobby, Rowdy, and Quavo work together to deliver a money-focused anthem that’s propelled by stirring synths and a hard-hitting bass. “Shmoney” is also paired with a video that captures the three rappers as they take over a mansion to throw a massive party filled with luxury cars and a large cast of women that highlights their boss statuses.

“Shmoney” is Bobby’s third single of the year and follows his prior releases, “Splash” and his “No Time For Sleep” freestyle. While things may be looking good for him as we head into 2022, the new song comes after he alluded to some issues with the team around him. In an Instagram post earlier this month, Shmurda revealed he hasn’t had control of his music in nearly a decade. “I ain’t been in charge of my music since I was 19 years old and I jus turned 27 and honestly idk when shit dropping so don’t ask me shit go ask them mf’s since they wanna control everything!!!!!!!” he wrote in the post. Shmurda has been signed to Epic Records, who could be the source of his frustrations, since the summer of 2014
