Kim Kardashian Says That She “Hated” 2018 White House Visit

Kim Kardashian says that she “hated” the way she felt while visiting the White House in 2018. Kardashian reflected on the trip during her recent appearance on the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast.

“I hated how I felt when I went into the White House for the first time and I didn’t know half of anything that they were saying – like all of the clemency talk, and all the attorney lingo and everything that they were talking about,” she said. “I literally was sitting there, like texting my attorney that was next to me.”

Kardashian went to the White House to meet with then-President Donald Trump on behalf of Alice Marie Johnson. Trump later commuted Johnson’s sentence. She had been handed a life sentence in 1996 over nonviolent drug charges.

“I was to the point where I didn’t even know like all of the abbreviations in the White House, so they were like okay this person at the DOJ, and I was like ‘What is the DOJ?’” she continued, before adding, “And my attorney was like, come on Department of Justice and she kept texting me all this stuff but I was never too embarrassed to ask.”

Kardashian added: “I think that sometimes like you go into something and you like I should know all this stuff.”

The White House eventually invited Kardashian back to further discuss clemency.

Kardashian recently studied to receive a law degree. She says that her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, would be proud of her efforts.

Stephen A. Smith Calls Republican Party “Embarrassing”

Stephen A. Smith is someone who does not mince words. If he has something to say, he will vocalize it, for better or worse. This is especially true when it comes to the political sphere. For instance, Smith even has a new show called “Know Mercy” where he delves into politics.

Overall, his political views are very much down the center. Sometimes, he sides with Democrats and other times with Republicans. In that sense, he is very much a classical liberal. Whether or not you believe that is a bad thing, is very much up to you, the reader.

Stephen A. Fires Shots At Republicans

Recently, however, Smith took some heavy shots at the Republicans. This is all because of the recent reports surrounding Trump’s reelection campaign. Smith feels it is disturbing that the party can’t find a different candidate. Overall, it is hard to disagree with what Stephen A. is saying here, even if you love Trump.

“You’re trying to tell me that Biden is going to be 82 years old in 2024, in all likelihood running for reelection, and y’all can’t find someone other than Trump,” Smith asked. “You have any idea how embarrassing that is? It’s embarrassing.”

Making comments like this will always be polarizing, especially in today’s climate. However, Smith is sticking to his convictions, and he does not care whom he offends with what he has to say. Whether it be sports, politics, or whatever else, you know that Stephen A. is going to come with the fire regardless of the topic.

As always, you can let us know what you think of Smith’s latest rant, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Buses Of Migrants Arrive At Kamala Harris’ House On Christmas Eve

Several busloads of migrants were driven and dropped off at Vice President Kamala Harris‘ house on Christmas Eve. They included asylum seekers from Ecuador, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Peru, and Colombia. It’s unclear who sent them there, although Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has taken responsibility for similar actions in the past.

Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network volunteer Amy Fischer discussed the situation with CNN. They said an NGO working at the border in Texas warned them about the bussing before the migrants arrived.

“The DC community has been welcoming buses from Texas anytime they’ve come since April. Christmas Eve and freezing cold weather is no different,” she said. “We are always here welcoming folks with open arms.”

As for the White House’s stance on the move, spokesperson Abdullah Hasan labeled it “cruel” and “dangerous.”

“Governor Abbott abandoned children on the side of the road in below freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve without coordinating with any Federal or local authorities,” Hasan said.

He continued: “As we have repeatedly said, we are willing to work with anyone – Republican or Democrat alike – on real solutions, like the comprehensive immigration reform and border security measures President Biden sent to Congress on his first day in office, but these political games accomplish nothing and only put lives in danger.”

Abbott confirmed he sent buses of migrants to Harris’ residence back in September.

Other artists with songs selected by Obama include Bad Bunny, Burna Boy, Zach Bryan, SZA, and Lizzo, among others.

Ethel Cain reacted to her inclusion on the list in a tweet posted on Friday: “Did not have a former president including my anti-war, anti-patriotism fake pop song on his year end list on my 2022 bingo.”

“The neighbor’s brother came home in a box/ But he wanted to go so maybe it was his fault/ Another red heart taken by the American dream,” Cain sings on “American Teenager.”

Donald Trump’s Facebook Reinstatement Faces Pressure From Democrats

Democrats are reportedly increasing pressure on Meta to keep Donald Trump off of Facebook. The news comes as the company is deciding whether to reinstate the former President’s account.

Facebook originally suspended Trump’s account after the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol. The platform could welcome him back as early as next month.

Democratic lawmakers fear Trump’s return to the platform would threaten public safety by the spread of misinformation.

Kayla Gogarty, deputy research director of Media Matters for America, says that his presence would increase “extremism” and “problematic content.”

“On Facebook, he has a very large reach,” Gogarty told Insider. “Based on his current patterns, we’re seeing him amplify extremism, problematic content that has been linked to real world violence.”

Gogarty continued: “So if Meta allows him back on, it’s essentially giving Trump a green light to push election misinformation again, dangerous rhetoric and extremism to millions of users who would not otherwise have access to it.”

While he’s been inactive on Facebook, Trump has migrated his presence to Truth Social. As for whether his behavior online has changed, Media Matters reports that nearly half of Trump’s posts and reposts in the week following the 2022 midterm elections pushed election fraud conspiracies.

“His activity on Truth Social speaks to his potential activity if he’s allowed back on some of these more mainstream platforms, like Facebook,” Gogarty further said.

Trump’s potential Facebook reinstatement comes after Elon Musk allowed him back on Twitter. In doing so, Musk conducted a poll among users on the platform. Despite this, Trump has opted to stay on Truth Social.

How Fashion is Honoring “An Hour For Ukraine” Initiative

FACEBOOK SPLIT IMAGE 14 1024x576 1

Fashion designers in the British capital are uniting to advance the “An Hour For Ukraine” initiative before Christmas. With support from the archbishop of Canterbury and the mayor of London, British landmarks will switch their festive lights off for an hour at 8pm local time on Wednesday, the darkest day of 2022. These landmarks include Trafalgar Square, Canterbury Cathedral, Lambeth Palace and the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, and several other key locations in Paris, New York and Sydney.

This initiative, organized by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, involves his fundraising platform United24, members of the Ukrainian parliament, fashion and creative platform 1 Granary, and War Against War, an alternative media organization. All of these players are a part of a $10 million fundraising drive to obtain generators to heat hospitals across Ukraine this winter.

Social media platforms come with their own set of drawbacks, yet they still have the ability to spread news across borders in a powerful way. With a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from Central Saint Martins, the founder of 1 Granary, Olya Kuryshchuk, has pushed for fashion brands to use social media platforms as a way to encourage audiences to turn off their lights for an hour at home from around the world.

In explaining the message behind this affair, Kuryshchuk said “I am part of the global fashion industry but I am also Ukrainian. Part of my family is still in Kyiv and they don’t have electricity, heating, water, internet, or phone connection along with over 10 million people. The ‘An Hour For Ukraine’ awareness campaign is set up to bring attention to the humanitarian catastrophe in my home country.”

The designers participating include Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault of Knwls, Richard Quinn, Charles Jeffrey, Stefan Cooke, Chopova Lowena, Kiko Kostadinov, Paolina Russo, Masha Popova, Sinéad O’Dwyer, Eftychia Karamolegkou, Lutz Huelle, Ranra, Paula Canovas Del Vas, Jordan Dalah, Duran Lantink, Katie Burnett, Tallulah Harlech, Michael Stewart of Standing Ground, Robyn Lynch, and Goom Heo.

Afroman Plans To Run Against Trump & Ye In 2024 Presidential Campaign

The 2024 presidential election is shaping up to be a wild ride. Biden will fight for a second term while Trump is apparently trying to lead the Republican party back into the Oval Office. However, it seems like there’s another candidate that everyone should look out for: Afroman.

Per TMZ, the “Because I Got High” rapper announced his presidential run during a Poplar Bluff, MO. During his show at the Black River Coliseum, he told the audience that he’ll be getting into politics with hopes of being the next POTUS.

“Can I make the biggest announcement I ever made in my life?” he asked the audience to roaring applause. “I’m running for president in 20-20-fro! We gonna get legal weed everywhere.”

Afroman’s platform is as obvious as can be. The man who made one of the greatest stoner anthems of all time said that he plans on legalizing cannabis on a federal level for recreational use — an act that Biden’s failed to do since he entered office.

“I AM RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA !! VOTE FRO, TWENTY TWENTY FRO!!” Afroman captioned the post.

In another video on his IG page, he doubled down on his plans to enter the presidential race. “It’s the hungry hustler of the American Dream, Afroman. I’m running for president is 20-20-fro. I’m gonna get recreational cannabis legal in all states. I need your vote.”

It’s easy to dismiss the video as being a joke but members of Afroman’s team told TMZ that he’s series about his campaign. Though it’s apparent that he’s passionate about legalizing cannabis on a larger scale but he hasn’t mentioned his stance on any other issues, whether domestic or international. His team also said that he’ll be running as an independent candidate.

Afroman’s yet to file the appropriate paperwork but his team says he’s in the process of filling it out.

Harvey Weinstein Convicted On 3 Of 7 Charges In Sexual Assault Trial

Harvey Weinstein is facing 24 years in prison after a court found him guilty of rape and sexual assault. The charges stem from one of four women prosecutors accused him of assaulting in Los Angeles for the case. In total, the jury found him guilty of three of seven charges.

Weinstein’s spokesperson Juda Engelmayer reacted to the decision in a statement. He remarked that they are “disappointed” in the results and plan to appeal, before adding, “He is grateful the jury took their time to deliberate on the other counts and he is prepared to continue fighting for his innocence.”

The L.A. jury deliberated for a total of 41 hours before reaching their decision. While they found him guilty on three charges, jurors also acquitted Weinstein of one count of sexual battery by restraint against a massage therapist in a hotel room in 2010. They were also a hung jury on one count of sexual battery by restraint, one count of forcible oral copulation, and one count of rape related to two other women.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom was the victim in the last charge. She’s the wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Newsome released a statement responding to the results.

“I am so incredibly proud of my wife and all the brave women who came forward to share their truth and uplift countless survivors who cannot,” Newsom said in part.

Jurors will return to court, Tuesday, to consider aggravating factors. This will impact Weinstein’s sentencing hearing, according to the DA’s office.

President Biden Announces New Plan to Reduce Homelessness by 25% by 2025

16402080178177

President Joe Biden has announced a new plan to lower the homelessness numbers by 25%. The achievement is aimed to be reached by 2025.

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development notes about 582,000 people were counted as homeless. That number does not include citizens living with loved ones by necessity. The number is the same as the count before the COVID-19 pandemic.

“My plan offers a roadmap for not only getting people into housing but also ensuring that they have access to the support, services, and income that allow them to thrive,” Biden said.

According to NBC News, the 2022 All-In plan harkens to the Opening Doors effort of 2010, which was the first comprehensive effort to tackle homelessness.

The plan highlights racial and other disparities that have impacted homelessness while sharing ways to improve homeless prevention and provide affordable housing.

The full plan is available here.

Trump Referred to The Department of Justice for Criminal Charges in Connection with Jan. 6

Donald Trump Reportedly Teases 2024 Presidential Run at CPAC

Former President Donald Trump has been referred to the Department of Justice for criminal charges for his role in the Capitol Riots. The January 6 committee recommended Trump should be held accountable for “a multi-part scheme” to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

“The president has an affirmative and primary constitutional duty to act to take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin at the hearing. “Nothing could be a greater betrayal of this duty than to assist in insurrection against the constitutional order.”

The investigation into the matter lasted 18 months and received a unanimous 9-0 vote in referring to the charges of obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to make a false statement, and incitement of an insurrection.

In addition, referrals for chief of staff Mark Meadows, attorney Rudy Giuliani, and more were passed to the DOJ. The DOJ does not have to pursue the charges.

Donald Trump is currently gearing up for another presidential campaign.
