Young Dolph’s Estate Shares “Old Ways,” Reveal “Paper Route Frank” Release Date & Tracklist

Young Dolph’s team is preparing the release of the rapper’s first posthumous album, Paper Route Frank. Following the release of “Get Away” in November, his team returned with the second single off of the project, “Old Ways.” PRE’s Bandplay samples The O’Jay’s for this record while Dolph comes through with motivational bars. He details the gratitude he has for being able to provide for his family while also reflecting on hustling in the streets.

In addition to the song’s release, the estate of Young Dolph also unveiled the release date for Paper Route Frank. The project will arrive in time for the holidays on December 16th.

Paper Route Frank will certainly be an effort that Dolph fans will appreciate. Once “Old Ways” dropped this morning, his team revealed the 13-song tracklist which comes with appearances from his frequent collaborators. Artists like Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz appear on the tracklist, along with PRE artists like Big Moochie Grape, Snupe Bandz, and of course, Young Dolph’s cousin, Key Glock. Bandplay, Drumma Boy, Sosa 808, CEOO, and Dun Deal have also contributed production to the project.

Last month, his family commemorated the one-year anniversary of his death by announcing the IdaMae Foundation’s Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. Day Of Service.

Key Glock Delivers New Video for "From Nothing"

Key Glock has released “From Nothing,” his latest video single, via Paper Route Empire. The new video brings in some summertime ambiance from the Paper Route Empire legend. Key Glock is enjoying the sun and his opulent lifestyle as he pops bottles on a catamaran and grooves to a happy, upbeat beat.

While on his first solo European tour and being filmed in Spain, Glock combines work and pleasure. Visiting the nearby Catalonian attractions and yet finding time to visit the studio. The studio, in this instance, is actually a penthouse hotel suite.

You can see the new video below.

Young Dolph’s ‘Hall Of Fame’ Is His First Posthumous Single

In the less than 12 months since Young Dolph was gunned down in his native Memphis, his Paper Route Empire cohorts have made a point of honoring their fallen brother. In January, the Paper Route Empire Presents: Long Live Dolph compilation album dropped featuring PRE rappers Key Glock, Big Moochie Grape, and others. And today, PRE has leveled up with “Hall Of Fame,” the first track from Young Dolph to be released following his death.

“Hall Of Fame” is accompanied by an animated video, which is a loop of a boy admiring a shrine to the late rapper. A Dolphin logo/Paper Route Empire branded sports car rolls down Memphis’ Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. Avenue to a hall where Dolph’s legacy is honored. The iced-out doors open and the boy looks upon a wall of Dolph’s records, framed in jewel-encrusted borders. A bust of Dolph with his diamond-studded PPE necklace around it sits in the center.

Produced by Bandplay, Dolph floats on the track, rapping swiftly like he always did, spitting: “They say I’m showing out, they say I should be ashamed, I don’t do it for the clout, b*tch, I do it for the gang. You can walk in any trap and I bet they know my name, Frank Matthews of the South, put me in the hall of fame.”

Key Glock Salutes His Fallen Mentor With ‘Proud’ From The Upcoming ‘Long Live Dolph’ Compilation

Young Dolph’s label, Paper Route Empire, is releasing the tribute compilation Paper Route Empire Presents: Long Live Dolph this Friday, January 21. Of course, it’s only right that the latest single from the album would come courtesy of Dolph’s most frequent collaborator on the label, his Dum And Dummer partner in rhyme, Key Glock. Glock offers his own personal homage to his fallen mentor and friend with “Proud,” which the label shared today along with a poignant video highlighting Makeda’s bakery, which Dolph loved to frequent — and where he was ultimately taken from the world too soon.

“I could get in back in blood but still I can’t get back the time,” Glock rhymes as he performs in front of a tribute wall dedicated to Dolph. The gist of his song is simple; he’s hurt but he wants to make Dolph proud of him, so there’s only one thing to do: Get back on the grind.

In addition to Key Glock’s tribute, Long Live Dolph is set to feature appearances from the other members of Paper Route Empire, including Big Moochie Grape, Chitana, Jay Fizzle, Joddy, Kenny Muney, and Snupe Bandz, as well as an appearance from Young Dolph himself. Young Dolph’s Paper Route Empire Announces A Tribute Compilation Album, ‘Long Live Dolph’

In honor of the late Young Dolph, the Memphis rapper’s label Paper Route Empire has planned a compilation album featuring tributes from his proteges and friends. Titled Paper Route Empire Presents: Long Live Dolph, the compilation will feature Big Moochie Grape, Kenny Muney, Key Glock, Snupe Bandz, and more, and is planned for release on January 21.

Paper Route CEO Daddyo told Rolling Stone, “My best friend, brother, and loyal business partner Dolph was loved and admired by people all over the world. He led by example and influenced so many people both near and far. The world will never be the same without Dolph but I know he’d want me to continue his legacy by working hard to push all our artists to the next level and make PRE an international brand. I hope his fans love it as much as I do.”

The first single from the album is “LLD” by Jay Fizzle, Dolph’s cousin and one of his PRE artists. You can check it out below.

Dolph was killed in a shooting in front of a local bakery in his hometown. Police revealed one of the suspects was 23-year-old Justin Johnson, who was later seen wearing Dolph’s PRE chain but was not affiliated with the late rapper.

Young Dolph Brags That Tough Times Are ‘Nothing To Me’ With Snupe Bandz And PaperRoute Woo

Young Dolph might be semi-retired, but it looks like he’ll still turn up to position his Paper Route Empire employees for success. In the newly released “Nothing To Me” video, the Memphis boss brags that tough times will never decrease his loyalty to his crew. “You catch a body, I’m gon’ pay the bail and the lawyer, that’s nothing to me,” he boasts.

Then, he cedes the floor to his PRE signees Snupe Bandz and PaperRoute Woo, who deliver their own takes on the subject matter. The video sees all three rappers enjoying themselves on a private jet, showing off stacks of cash.

The “Nothing To Me” video arrives after Young Dolph’s retirement announcement, which came in the midst of the successful rollout for Dolph and PRE protege Key Glock’s joint album, Dum & Dummer 2. Over the course of the several weeks they spent promoting the album, the duo released videos for “Aspen,” “Penguins,” “Rain Rain,” and “A Goat & A Dolphin,” among others.

Now that they’ve completed the album cycle, it seems Dolph has turned his attentions to promoting his Paper Route Empire brand, putting out the single “Plenty Cake” with DJ-Q, and helping to work singles for signees like Chitana, Kenny Muney, and Big Moochie Grape.
