It’s been a long time coming for Canadian rapper TwoTiime. The Ottawa-born rapper has been revving up for the release of a new project since the latter half of 2023. Fortunately, he’ll be coming through with some new heat before the end of the year. His new single, “Yesterday,” indicates promising things to come from the budding Canadian star.

On “Yesterday,” TwoTiime reflects on this transitional period in his life, where he speaks on adjusting to his newfound lifestyle and manifesting his dreams while detailing the hardships he faced to get to this point. It’s a heartfelt single that showcases TwoTiime’s vulnerability but also, his resilience through the tough times. “I’m the top dog, I’ve been known for having motion/When it gets hard, that’s a test to your devotion,” he raps in the second verse. The song was accompanied by a new visual that heavily features appearances from Polo G.

“Yesterday” marks the second release from the “Off Some” rapper this year, following his Valentine’s Day-inspired single, “4 U.” However, “Yesterday” truly sets the tone for what we should expect from him for the remainder of the year. Quotable Lyrics
I’m a block star, five star, feel like I’ve been chosen

TwoTiime Gets In His Lover Boy Bag On “4U”

It’s been a busy few months for Ottawa rapper TwoTiime. The Canadian star has kept his foot on the gas since announcing his deal with Polo G’s ODA in collaboration with Columbia Records. With the major label backing, he’s on pace to make some serious noise in 2024. He came out swinging with the release of “Priceless,” followed it up with the Jackson 5-sampling “One More Chance,” and capped off the year by opening up for Polo G at his sold-out concert in Montreal, Canada.

TwoTiime isn’t slowing down, either. Now that he’s entered a new year, the Canadian rapper came back to set the tone for Valentine’s Day with the release of “4U.” It’s another step in the right direction for the young rapper, who has continued to showcase his evolution with each release. “4U” is a slower effort, one that allows his melodic prowess to take new directions, leaning into more experimental, spacier turf, over a subdued vocal sample. Sure, he’s a rapper but it’s songs like “4U” that shine a spotlight on his potential to expand his sonic palette.

TwoTiime Flips Classic Jackson 5 Record On “One More Chance”

TwoTiime been on our radar ever since he dropped “Hood Cry.” The Ottawa rapper first appeared on HotNewHipHop with the release of his single, “Up2Me.” Since then, TwoTiime has been making some serious strides, culminating in a deal with Columbia Records and Polo G’s ODA (Only Dreamers Achieve) imprint. With the backing of a major label, the rapper is undoubtedly gearing up to make a splash in 2024. However, he’s not leaving us empty-handed before closing out 2023.

This afternoon, TwoTiime came through with his latest single, “One More Chance,” a refreshing bop that finds the Ottawa artist tackling an iconic sample from The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back.” The single showcases TwoTiime’s innate ability to craft earworms of hooks while he delivers a message to the ladies and seemingly shoots his shot at Coi Leray. The “Juice” rapper’s charisma also takes center stage in the music video, which was shot in Los Angeles and includes a cameo from the iconic house from Michael Jackson’s Thriller. There’s no doubt that “One More Chance” sets the stage for what will be a fruitful new year in 2024.
