Lil Uzi Vert Promises To Stop Using Nitrous

Lil Uzi Vert says they’re done with nitrous as backlash over their alleged use of the drug has persisted on social media in recent weeks. As caught by DJ Akademiks, Uzi shared a selfie on social media with the caption: “Nomore bad stuff,” with a salute emoji as well as a balloon emoji. In more posts, they wrote: “Trust the process” and “Who fried?”

When Akademiks reshared the series of posts on Instagram, fans were highly critical of Uzi’s behavior. “Homeboy is 30 years old posting like a xanned out grade 11 white boy,” one user responded. Another wrote: “Rappers are so weird these days. Bring back XXXL white tees and ecko unltd and phat pharm.”

Lil Uzi Vert Promises “No More Bad Stuff”

They aren’t the only rapper who has been facing backlash for an alleged use of nitrous. Kanye West has also been accused of being hooked on the drug after Milo Yiannopoulos blamed Ye’s dentist, Thomas Connelly, for allegedly getting him addicted. He claimed the move was to “diminish Ye’s mental faculties so that Connelly and his business associates could extract millions of dollars from him,” as caught by Page Six. Connelly has denied the allegations. Check out Lil Uzi Vert’s recent posts on Instagram below.

Adam22 Alleges That Kanye West Has Quit Nitrous To Focus On New Album

Kanye West has seemingly not had a quiet month in years. Every few weeks, a new story seems to come out about his personal life and/or career. October 7 was an especially hectic day. In the span of 24 hours, it was alleged that Kanye West was divorcing his wife of under two years, Bianca Censori. It was alleged that he was moving to Tokyo, Japan. And most notably, it was tweeted out that he was kicking his alleged nitrous addiction. The last of these three claims was made by Adam22, which means it should very much be taken with a grain of salt.

Adam22 broke the alleged news via Twitter. “I have been informed by an insider that Kanye has quit the nitrous,” he wrote. “And has been very focused on music for the last few months.” The second part of the statement falls in line with other reports about Kanye West’s behavior. The rapper is believed to be hard at work on the production of his upcoming solo album, Bully. He even teased the release of a new single, “Preacher Man,” on Instagram in September. Several outlets have alleged that West is moving to Tokyo in order to better focus on getting the album completed in a timely manner. Anybody who has followed the rollout for West’s last few albums knows that sticking to a release date has become difficult for him.

Adam22 Alleged That Kanye West Is Newly Sober

The nitrous allegation is the most intriguing aspect of Adam22’s post, though. The allegations that Kanye West had become addicted to nitrous gas were made by Milo Yiannopoulos in August. The controversial figure claimed that West’s dentist, Dr. Thomas Connelly, got him hooked on the substance. Yiannopoulos also posted screenshots of alleged conversations in which the rapper asked to given nitrous. “Can I have Nitrus today,” West allegedly asked. “Tom you said you’d bring them by today Checking in.” As West’s ex Chief of Staff, Yiannopoulos theorized that Connelly was “[diminishing] Ye’s mental faculties” in an effort to in” extract millions of dollars from him.”

Connelly denied the allegations outright. A representative for the dentist told TMZ that Yiannopoulos’ claims were “not only factually incorrect but also intentionally misleading.” Kanye West had not publicly addressed the allegations. Despite being historically outspoken, the rapper has also remained quiet with regards to his alleged divorce. Daily Mail reported that West and Censori actually split weeks prior to the recent rumors. The outlet also claims that the rapper is “ready for divorce” amidst his desire to travel and focus on his music. Time will tell if the divorce and nitrous rumors prove to be true.

Lil Uzi Vert Seemingly Uses Nitrous During Studio Session: Watch

Lil Uzi Vert has fans worried. The rapper was spotting using a substance that looks like nitrous oxide during a studio session. The other people in the video fail to comment on Lil Uzi Vert’s actions, despite the rapper very clearly inhaling a substance from a balloon. Fans have flocked to social media to voice their concern. Especially given Lil Uzi Vert’s past struggles with substance abuse and addiction. The use of nitrous has also led parallels to be drawn between Uzi Vert and Kanye West. The latter was recently accused of being addicted to the gas.

Uzi Vert has been open about their addictive tendencies. The rapper revealed that they spent seven months in a rehab during a 2023 interview with the magazine 032c. Lil Uzi Vert admitted they didn’t want to go to rehab. They were eventually urged to do so by their Roc Nation boss, JAY-Z. “I didn’t want to do it, but I had to and I can say now that it was a great thing to do,” they explained. “The first month and a half were hard. But after that, it was easy, because the people there became my family.” Uzi Vert also admitted their skepticism over the effectiveness of rehab. “I was so sure that it wasn’t going to work,” they explained. “But surprisingly it’s pretty effective.”

Nitrous has become a major talking in the hip hop sphere due to Kanye West. His former employee, Milo Yiannopoulos, claimed that the rapper was completely dependent on the gas. He even the man who he blames for nurturing West’s addiction, Dr. Thomas P. Connelly. West’s representatives have denied the claims. Interestingly enough, Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert are longtime supporters of each other’s music. Uzi claims 808s & Heartbreak changed his life, and the album went on to inspire the rapper’s aesthetic. Kanye West, on the other hand, called Uzi Vert the “future” of hip hop during an April interview.

Uzi Vert told 032c that being sober actually improved his creative process. “I could think more clear,” they realized. “And could actually like, instead of my words slurring, even though that’s kinda cool, everything made sense. I didn’t just make random music.” The rapper also urged fans struggling with addiction to stay clean. “It’s the best thing to do,” they concluded. “It’ll change your life. And you’ll look better.” Hopefully Uzi Vert doesn’t regress.

Kanye Nitrous Addiction: A Breakdown Of The Allegations

Ye (fka Kanye West) returned to headlines this week following alarming allegations surrounding substance abuse, specifically nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas. Claims made by his former chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos accused Dr. Thomas Connelly of supplying the substance to Ye for recreational purposes. Naturally, this led to widespread concern among fans and peers of Ye surrounding his well-being.

Yiannopoulos leaked text messages that further fueled the rumors that Ye formed a dependency. It’s an alarming claim that highlights the dangers of nitrous oxide misuse, which can not only form a dependency but also possible nerve damage. Below, we dive into the scandal.

Allegations Against Kanye West’s Use Of Nitrous Oxide

The controversy surrounding Kanye West’s alleged use of nitrous oxide has gained widespread attention after shocking claims emerged from those close to him. Milo Yiannopoulos, West’s former chief of staff, has become a central figure in exposing these allegations. Yiannopoulos recently posted a series of text messages on social media, purportedly showing conversations between West, his dentist Dr. Thomas Connelly, and himself. These messages suggest that West had developed a dependency on nitrous oxide and was using it recreationally.

Yiannopoulos claims that Dr. Connelly, the dentist responsible for West’s high-profile dental work, played a significant role in facilitating the rapper’s alleged addiction. The text exchanges suggest that West repeatedly asked for nitrous oxide, despite warnings from Yiannopoulos about the dangers of prolonged misuse. In one message, West allegedly inquired, “Can I have the Nitrous today?” which Connelly reportedly responded to positively.

The Role Of Dr. Thomas Connelly In The Scandal

Dr. Thomas Connelly, a dentist known for his work on Kanye West’s custom $850,000 titanium teeth, has been thrust into the spotlight due to his alleged involvement in providing nitrous oxide to West for non-medical use. According to Milo Yiannopoulos, Connelly was not just a medical professional but also a facilitator of West’s alleged addiction. In the texts shared by Yiannopoulos, Connelly appears to discuss plans to “master the delivery system” for recreational nitrous oxide, hinting at a long-term goal of legalizing the substance for non-medical purposes.

Yiannopoulos has since allegedly filed a complaint with the California Dental Board, accusing Connelly of being a “dangerous predator” who targets African-American celebrities. He alleges that Connelly was charging West $50,000 per month to supply him with nitrous oxide, which Yiannopoulos claims was part of a broader scheme to exploit West financially. Connelly’s representatives have denied these allegations, calling them “factually incorrect” and “intentionally misleading.” They also accused Yiannopoulos of fabricating the story to gain attention and harm Connelly’s reputation. The dentist’s alleged involvement in this scandal has raised ethical questions about the responsibilities of medical professionals and the potential consequences of crossing professional boundaries.

The fallout from these allegations could have significant legal and professional repercussions for both Kanye West and Dr. Thomas Connelly. If the claims made by Milo Yiannopoulos are proven true, Connelly could face serious consequences, including the revocation of his dental license and potential criminal charges. The California Dental Board will likely investigate the complaint filed by Yiannopoulos, which could lead to further scrutiny of Connelly’s practices and his relationship with West. But for Kanye West, this is just another point of concern following a string of instances that exhibited erratic behavior over the years.

What Is Nitrous Oxide?

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is a colorless, non-flammable gas with a slightly sweet odor and taste. First synthesized in the late 18th century, it quickly gained popularity as a recreational substance due to its euphoric effects. However, according to the National Institute Of Health, its most significant impact has been in the medical field and widely used as an anesthetic and analgesic. Administered through inhalation, often mixed with oxygen, nitrous oxide is commonly employed in dental procedures, childbirth, and emergency medicine to manage pain and anxiety.

Medical Applications Of Nitrous Oxide

In controlled medical settings, nitrous oxide is a valuable tool. It works by depressing the central nervous system, leading to a state of relaxation and pain relief. Its fast onset and short duration of action make it ideal for procedures where quick recovery is essential. For instance, in dentistry, nitrous oxide helps patients undergo procedures with reduced anxiety and discomfort while remaining conscious. During labor, it alleviates pain without the risks associated with stronger anesthetics. Additionally, in emergency medicine, medical professionals administer nitrous oxide to manage acute pain from injuries or during minor surgical procedures.

The Risks of Nitrous Oxide Abuse

Despite its legitimate medical uses, nitrous oxide carries significant risks, particularly when used recreationally. Often inhaled from balloons or directly from whipped cream dispensers—commonly known as “whippets”—this form of recreational use gained popularity in certain social circles, especially among young people and partygoers. Although the effects are short-lived, they are intense and can lead to a temporary high that may become addictive, as highlighted by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

The primary danger of nitrous oxide abuse lies in its potential to cause serious health issues. Chronic use, according to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, can lead to a deficiency in vitamin B12, which is essential for nervous system function. Prolonged exposure can result in nerve damage, causing numbness, tingling, and even paralysis. In extreme cases, it can cause irreversible damage to the spinal cord. Additionally, the gas can displace oxygen in the lungs, leading to hypoxia—a potentially fatal condition where the body is deprived of adequate oxygen.

Kanye West Is Allegedly Addicted To Nitrous Gas

Kanye West has a “dependence” on nitrous gas, according to the rapper’s former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, who made the claims in an affidavit for a complaint against dentist Thomas P. Connelly. Citing concerns about West’s “health and safety,” Yiannopoulos complained about “the unlawful supply of enormous quantities of nitrous gas to a wealthy, famous patient for explicitly recreational use.” Connelly installed West’s permanent titanium grill.

As noted by AllHipHop, Yiannopoulos further claims West’s staff “were worrying about” his “dependence on the gas and speaking openly about it.” He describes employees witnessing “four large surgical tanks of nitrous oxide” at Bianca Censori’s apartment. Apparently by one point, West was talking “about it non-stop in meetings” and “seemed to be in an out of the inhaler mask on a near-constant basis,” and “communications ‘were becoming incomprehensible and contradictory.” Additionally, Yiannopoulos says Connelly “supplied West with advisors … who demanded gigantic sums for their services” and suggested “widespread and disruptive changes,” to his business. Altogether, Yiannopoulos claims Connelly “sought to exploit” Kanye West’s “psychological vulnerabilities.”

It’s not the first time Yiannopoulos has linked West to the use of nitrous gas. Back in July, while calling out YesJulz on X (formerly Twitter), he described the rapper as a person with mental illness who is “hooked on nitrous thanks to the Doctor Death of Dentistry.” “I did everything I could to get Thomas Connelly, the Doctor Death of Dentistry, away from Ye,” he wrote in another post. “@YesJulz and others sat back and watched the greatest living artist permanently destroy his brain with a neurotoxin. As long as the checks kept clearing, they all stayed quiet. Foul.”

Yiannopoulos ended up resigning from his position in West’s staff in May of this year. After spending two years with the controversial rapper, he complained about the company getting into sex work. Be on the lookout for further updates on Kanye West and Milo Yiannopoulos on HotNewHipHop.
