French Montana On Nipsey Hussle’s Murder: “One Of The Most Disgusting Things I’ve Ever Seen”

French Montana reflected on the killing of Nipsey Hussle during his latest appearance on The Breakfast Club, Friday. He says that watching the rapper get murdered while trying to help his community and launching a clothing store scared him away from doing the same.

“I feel like watching that video with Nip was one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen in my life,” he said. “All he was trying to do was just try to change his neighborhood and just bring some great things back and try to buy his block. I feel like watching that scared me away from trying to do the same thing.”

From there, he discussed the late Coke Boys rapper, Chinx. Montana continued: “Look what happened to Chinx. Chinx got shot in Queens. Look what happened to a lot of people that don’t have a name, a lot of fallen soldiers. So why come back and do that?” Hussle died in the parking lot of his store, Marathon Clothing, in 2019 at the age of 33. He was shot 10 times and kicked in the head. The Los Angeles Police Department arrested then-29-year-old Eric Ronald Holder Jr. for the attack. He was later sentenced to 60 years in prison. Nipsey Hussle Murder: Ex-LAPD Officer Suggests Police Ordered His Death

Bernard Robins, an ex-officer of the Los Angeles Police Department, suggested that the LAPD might have orchestrated the murder of Nipsey Hussle. The Crenshaw rapper’s passing struck the hip-hop community like an earthquake, and though his legacy endures, his loss is still painfully felt by millions. Readers may remember that the police department launched an internal investigation into the 33-year-old’s loss. However, Robins recently said during an appearance on the Comedy Hype podcast that he didn’t discard the possibility of police ordering his death. When the podcast host brought up the department’s other accusations of organized murder, the ex-cop expressed belief that they possibly took Nipsey out.

“I think that there could have been,” he stated. “I’ve never witnessed any law enforcement officers say that there was something going on or even eluded to it. But there’s that possibility. We know a lot of the positive things that he was doing in the community. So, there’s definitely that possibility that they were that determined to stop what he had going, that they probably could have sent [Eric Holder Jr.] to go and do that.

Ex-Officer Alleges That LAPD Ordered Murder Of Nipsey Hussle

“I think also that they said [Eric] was an informant for law enforcement. That was a part of the issue that he had with Nipsey Hussle allegedly so we don’t know. We don’t know what was going on behind those closed doors.” In addition, the LAPD denied reports from the Los Angeles Times that they were investigating Nipsey. Also, they reportedly targeted his businesses and movement in a secret operation. While this is a lot of speculative material, neither law enforcement nor state prosecutors explained how they came about in the first place. As such, many looked to these organizations with raised eyebrows.

Meanwhile, the rapper’s killer Eric Holder Jr. received a 60-year prison sentence this February. However, even with all these accusations and potential malpractices, Nipsey Hussle lives on in ways more important than any of that. For example, his brother Sam stated that Nip’s kids now own his Marathon clothing store. As such, he achieved the generational wealth he always wanted for his family. However, to seek true justice for his murder and to avoid further corruption, perhaps these rumors will result in a more thorough investigation into the LAPD’s handling of the case. Regardless, return to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Nipsey Hussle and his everlasting legacy.

Nipsey was signing autographs so there was a large crowd there. The Case for His Death was Straightforward

Eric Holder Jr. was the gunman who shot Nipsey Hussle at least ten times and also kicked him in the head. There were two other people who were also injured because of Holder’s behavior and were taken to the hospital. Due to the large number of people, Holder was identified easily. Holder’s behavior was not an isolated situation of senseless violence but rather him overreacting in the worst possible way. Nipsey and him had some sort of disagreement related to snitching to police that led to him responding the way he did.

Eric Holder Jr. was arrested for his crime on April 2,2019, days after he had committed the act. His court appearance was in mid-June 2022 after being indicted on May 9,2019. The charges in the indictment were one count of murder,  one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm. Holder pleaded not guilty but Deputy District Attorney John McKinney told jurors that Holder had full intention to kill Hussle. By July 6, 2022 they found Holder guilty and charged with first-degree murder as well as two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter. The second charge comes as a result of the other two injured individuals as a result of the shooting. On February 22, 2023 Eric Holder Jr. was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison for causing the death of Nipsey Hussle.

They held his Celebration of Life Memorial service on April 11, 2019 in the Crypto.com Arena which was known as the Staples Center then. Due to Nipsey’s involvement in his community, the service was open to the public and tickets were free. Additionally, the service was available to stream live online so his supporters from all over could virtually attend. In person attendees included Snoop Dogg, LA radio host Big Boy, Kendrick Lamar and other fellow West Coast figures. Other attendees included celebrities of all kinds with several of them speaking and performing.

The funeral procession for Nipsey Hussle brought the title of his debut album Victory Lap to life with a 25.5 mile route. Supporters from all over stood along the route to pay their respects to their legendary leader. Justice has been served for Nipsey since his murderer will be imprisoned for a long time for his crime. His family can continue to focus on keeping his memory alive and living their lives to make him proud. As a part of keeping his memory alive, the intersection between Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Ave has been named Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom Square. The way the city of Los Angeles chose to honor Nipsey Hussle’s death was not only honorable but a testament to his impact on the city. Nipsey is survived by his partner Lauren London and their two children, Kross and Emani.

Nipsey Hussle Murder Case: Eric Holder Denied Bid To Reduce First-Degree Murder Conviction

A judge formally shot down Eric Holder’s bid to reduce his conviction from first-degree murder to a lesser charge.

Holder and his attorney appeared in court on Monday for his sentencing. However, the judge laid down the law when it came down to a motion requesting a reduction of the first-degree murder conviction to second-degree murder or voluntary manslaughter, per Fox11.

In addition to trying to reduce the charge, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke also shot down the possibility of a new trial. Holder’s attorney previously filed a motion for a new trial. The judge postponed Holder’s sentencing date until Feb. 22nd, 2022.

In July, a jury found Holder guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Nipsey Hussle. In addition, the jury also convicted Holder of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and assault with a firearm.

During the trial, Holder’s attorney explained that his client shot Nipsey Hussle during a “heat of passion.” If you recall, the incident came about after the California rapper labeled him a snitch publicly. Holder’s lawyer explained that manslaughter charges were more suitable rather than first-degree murder. He said that Holder’s actions were a result of “impulse and rashness.”

Still, a jury found Holder guilty of intentionally using a firearm to cause great bodily harm against the victim.

The death of Nipsey Hussle rippled across the globe. The rapper died on March 31st, 2019 after he was struck by bullets. A medical examiner that testified in the trial said that a bullet ripped through Nipsey’s right abdomen and severed his spinal cord. If he were to survive the gunshot, Nipsey would’ve been paralyzed in his lower body.

We’ll keep you posted on any further updates surrounding Eric Holder’s sentencing for the murder of Nipsey Hussle.
