Travis Kelce: Heart Celly Was For Bills Fans, Not Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has revealed that his “heart hands” celebration during the Chiefs’ divisional round playoff game was aimed at Bills fans, not Taylor Swift. “The Bills — coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? One-thousand percent. One-thousand percent. Did it get a little extra? One-thousand percent. Some things were said about the families — some pretty inappropriate things were said about Pat Mahomes. It was pretty wack. I don’t hate you guys like you hate us. It’s all love, baby. It’s all love,” Kelce explained on the New Heights podcast.

The immediate assumption was that the celebration was aimed at Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift. It’s a gesture Swift herself has popularized at her concerts. Furthermore, Kelce himself was spotted doing the gesture at Swift’s concert in Argentina last year. However, Kelce has now set the record straight and explained he was showing love to the Bills Mafia during a charged playoff game.

Travis Kelce & Chiefs Focus On Ravens

Standing between the Chiefs and a third Super Bowl appearance in the last four years is the white-hot Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens finished the regular season 13-4, their best records since their 14-2 2019 campaign. After massive promises from Lamar Jackson in the pre-season, Baltimore has become one of the hottest teams in the league. However, they are treading relatively new ground. Sunday marks their first conference championship game since their Super Bowl-winning season in 2012.

However, the dynastic Chiefs, fresh off another tough back-and-forth against Buffalo, will be more than ready to take on the gauntlet thrown down by Baltimore. The Ravens are only favored by -3.5 and the over/under of 44.5 indicates that this game could quickly devolve into a defensive slugfest. Cam Newton Reveals The One Team He’d Return To The NFL For

Cam Newton has revealed that a contract with the Atlanta Falcons would be the only way that he would return to the NFL. “Me having a family now, it’s always been about family and I don’t see myself leaving Atlanta. If it’s not Atlanta, I don’t want to [come back],” Netwon told Good Morning Football this week. Newton is originally from Atlanta but played college football in Florida and Alabama before being drafted by the Panthers.

Newton has not suited up in the NFL since 2021 when he briefly returned to the Carolina Panthers. Once seen as a generational talent, Newton’s career hit an ignominious end. A string of injuries limited Newton’s ability to harness his signature dual-threat capabilities. His 2021 campaign saw him go 0-5 as a starter as the Panthers rotated between Newton, Sam Darnold, and P.J. Walker. However, it’s unlikely that the Falcons, currently quarterbacked by second-year starter Desmond Ridder, will be offering Newto a contract. Atlanta has been floated as a potential landing spot for Russell Wilson.

Cam Newton Beefs With Deebo Samuel

However, Newton has stepped away from the NFL completely. In late December, he found himself beefing with Niners star Deebo Samuel. Newton responded to Deebo Samuel’s claims that the former QB has been blowing up his phone after the 49ers fell to the Ravens on Christmas Day. “Big fan, still a fan. I still f-ck with you. But I ain’t got your number to call you. It was very believable, I had to go and check to make sure I didn’t call you. But I ain’t got your number. Whoever is calling you, it ain’t me,” Newton said.

Samuel made his claims during an appearance on Up & Adam while defending his quarterback, Brock Purdy. The Ravens completely routed the 49ers in the late Christmas Day game. Baltimore picked off Purdy four times, eventually forcing the Niners to sub in Sam Darnold. Samuel had been responding to the wave of criticism against Purdy when he called out Newton.

Taylor Swift Chiefs Jacket Designed By Wife Of Niners Player

The designer of Taylor Swift’s custom Chiefs jacket has been revealed to be Kristin Juszczyk, wife of Niners fullback Kyle Juszczyk. Juszczyk’s work was worn by Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes at the Chiefs’ wild card win over the Dolphins. Additionally, it later popped up at the Lions’ win over the Rams. Actor Taylor Lautner rocked a custom Aidan Hutchinson jacket. However, Juszcyk revealed that the inclement weather around the country almost spelled disaster.

Lautner’s jacket arrived in Memphis the night before the game in Detroit. However, it remained stuck there due to the weather. After reaching out to the FedEx higher-ups, another truck was sent to pick up the parcel. But then that truck broke down. Despite this, a third truck was sent out and able to make it to Detroit. The jacket was delivered to Lautner on the sidelines. “That whole thing should be a Super Bowl commercial itself,” Kyle Juszczyk said.

Meanwhile, the Bills have prepared a special welcome for Taylor Swift and the Chiefs at Highmark Stadium. The Bills host the Chiefs’ first road playoff game of the Patrick Mahomes era on January 21. The Bills, through their food service provider Delaware North, have added two Swift-themed menu items to the available concessions for the game. The first is the Bad Blood Waffle Fries. This a “2-foot display of spiced waffle fries featuring each city’s culinary specialty. Topped half with Buffalo chicken and blue cheese and half with Kansas City Cattleman’s BBQ pork, cole slaw and bread-and-butter pickles.” The other item is the Karma Quesadilla. Delaware described it as “chicken tenders, bacon and cilantro ranch in a triple-stacked quesadilla, topped with pork-belly chaser.”

“Our culinary team has again designed a great menu for the Divisional playoff game this weekend, with several new items for fans as they cheer on the Bills. We had a lot of fun with this week’s menu – adding a few new options that celebrate this incredible rivalry with the Chiefs and their star-studded fans,” said Andy Altomare, Delaware North’s general manager at Highmark Stadium. Lamar Jackson Admits He Did “A Lot Of Cursing” During “Inappropriate” Halftime Speech

Lamar Jackson says he gave an impassioned halftime speech filled with “a lot of cursing” during the Baltimore Ravens’ 34-10 win over the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs on Sunday. After the break, the team scored 24 unanswered points to lock in the victory. When asked about the speech, he described it as “inappropriate” to repeat.

“It would be inappropriate if I said it right here,” Jackson admitted to reporters. “We weren’t doing our job with our unit. In the second half, we wanted to put points on the board, start moving the ball, moving the chains and start looking like ourselves.” After being asked to elaborate on the halftime speech, he said there was “a lot of cursing.”

And man they come into the room like, ‘We made it to Drake’s crib!’ [Their] socks [were] dirty as hell like they had to crawl through the mountains to get here. So I had to try and play it cool. I had to dap them up but I was like, on edge at this point. They’re like, ‘OBJ wassup man! Can we get a picture? Can we get an autograph?’ OBJ told the Punch Line Podcast.

Furthermore, OBJ noted that things were able to resolved safely, “And to me, I don’t know if they’re carrying something. I don’t know what it was. Odell Beckham Jr Speaks On Living With Drake

However, it’s not the first time that OBJ has spoken on his time living with Drake. In September 2023, he clarified what he meant by living with Drake. “Well, I think people have a misunderstanding of that. He was actually on tour and I was living there. Everyone was like, ‘Oh, they’re roommates!’ That wasn’t really it,” Beckham Jr. told GQ this week. Lions Earn Biggest Playoff Betting Line In Team History

The previous franchise record was -4 favorites against Dallas in 1970, a game that the Lions would lose 5-0. Bills Versus Chiefs: What To Know

Both the Bills and Chiefs finished the season 11-6 but in very different ways. The Bills finished on a six-game winning streak, which started with a win over Kansas City. Meanwhile, after starting 7-3, the Chiefs struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm in the back half of the season. While they appeared to regain their momentum against the short-handed Dolphins in the Wild Card round, the white-hot Bills are going to be a different challenge entirely.

Cowboys Retain Mike McCarthy, Stephen A. Smith Sounds Off

Despite a blowout loss to Green Bay in the NFL playoffs, the Cowboys have chosen to retain Mike McCarthy as their head coach. “I believe that the direction, the leadership, everything is in place. And I’m not very comfortable talking about myself, but I came here to win a championship. I didn’t come here to get another contract or anything other than that. I came to Dallas to win a world championship, and that’s why I’m standing here. Buy into us,” McCarthy said in a press conference.

However, the decision makes 2024 an all-or-nothing year for the team. In four years under McCarthy, the team has three playoff appearances but just one playoff win. They have posted three consecutive 12-5 seasons but are still yet to reach the conference championship game for the first time since 1995. While Dak Prescott had a career year and was named Second Team All-Pro, the Cowboys continue to collapse when it matters most. Of course, Stephen A. Smith had a lot to say about the decision as well, going off on a loud rant during First Take.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, the Seahawks outlined what is driving their head coach search. GM John Schneider has said that team ownership has just one directive for his first-ever head coaching search – keep the team’s “positive culture”. “It’s clear. It’s concise. We want to keep our positive culture, everything that’s been created here. There’s so many special people in this building. It’s amazing to be on the phone with all these agents and the people that are interested in this position and to be able to explain to them, ‘Hey, there’s a foundation here that’s incredible,’” Schneider said in his first comments since Pete Carroll was relieved of heading coaching duties after 14 years. Carrol was transitioned to an “advisor” role last week.

Furthermore, Schneider confirmed a change alluded to by Carroll in is final press conference. Schneider, as GM, will have the final say on personnel hires. Previously, Carroll was responsible for his own staff and reported directly to team owner Jody Allen. “Our setup earlier was … the coaching staff did not fall under my umbrella, and now it will. It’s not necessarily a Jody Allen decision or choosing this person or that person; it’s just a contractual situation,” Schneider noted.
