Keefe D’s Bail Payment Rejected Again After Financial Documents Lead To More Questions Than Answers

Clark District Court Judge Carli Kierny says she has more questions than answers after Duane “Keefe D” Davis attempted to provide additional financial records regarding his attempt to pay off his $750,000 bail. “I have a sense that things are trying to be covered up,” she said at a hearing in the case regarding the murder of Tupac Shakur on Tuesday.

Kierny says she recieved two identical letters from an entertainment company that supposedly supplied Wack 100 with the money. She noted that one of the signed names doesn’t match anyone with ties to the company. Additionally, the second one had a misspelled name and return address for a doctor’s office.

The latest drama surrounding Keefe’s attempt at getting out on bail comes after Kierny previously rejected his attempt to get help from Wack 100. She felt Wack was only trying to get an interview out of Keefe. “I don’t really see where the actual $112,500 came from with what’s been provided,” she said back in June. “I also don’t find the defense has met the burden … to show that the bail is not connected to Mr. Davis ultimately talking about Mr. Shakur’s murder and any evidence to the contrary is not credible.”

Drake’s “Falling Back” Wife Recalls Her Experience & How She Got Her Role In The Video

Drake has been releasing tons of behind-the-scenes content through his 100gigs.org website. Now, though, a model/actress affiliated with one the artist’s past music videos is giving the public similar access. According to HipHopDX and The Comfortable Pod, Riley Simpson, an LA native, was one of the many wives in the visuals for Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind track, “Falling Back”. She was invited onto The Comfortable Pod recently and she divulged on her experience on set for the five days she was asked to be there. Overall, Simpson seemed to have a great time throughout the process, even calling Drake “the coolest person ever” and saying that he was taking care of everyone involved.

“Like, he was listening. We could be across the room like, ‘I’m hungry,’ and he’d be like, ‘What do you want to eat?’”, Simpson explains. She also went onto mention how they were going to lunches and dinners with full bars every day. However, Simpson also talked about some of the things she witnessed and laid out some of the restrictions while she was with Drake. “You couldn’t pull your phone out. You weren’t allowed to record anything, you weren’t allowed to take pictures in your dress, nothing”, she began.

Moreover, Simpson says that some girls took too much advantage of the bars. “There were girls that would get too f***ed up – sent home”. It appears that those women cost themselves quite a bit of publicity and “a s*** ton of money”. It sounds like Drake is a nice guy, but you certainly don’t want to test your luck.

However, there are some people out there who are dead set on making horrible comments about the kid. He is just five years old, yet somehow, some people out there think it is okay to make assumptions about the sexuality of a child. Quite simply, they need to be on some sort of government list.

With that being said, it is clear that Cheaves is aware of the comments, and unsurprisingly, they disturb her greatly. While speaking on The Act Normal Pod, Cheaves noted that it is beyond weird for people to make comments about her son. Moreover, she revealed that she is praying for those people. Needless to say, she is taking the high road in the situation, which is probably for the best. When it comes to the internet, it is almost impossible to win people over.

The Alchemist Hints At J Cole Collaboration For “The Fall Off”

J Cole may have landed a collaboration with The Alchemist for his upcoming album, The Fall Off. Answering questions from fans on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Alc replied with a zipper-mouth face emoji when a user asked if he produced any tracks on the highly-anticipated project. He also addressed working with another Dreamville artist in JID. “Stay tuned and find out,” he remarked of that possibility.

In responses to the post, fans demanded to know when The Fall Off will actually be dropping. It’s been over three years since Cole’s last studio album, The Off-Season, although he did release the mixtape, Might Delete Later, back in April. Other fans joked that the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 may end up releasing before fans get their hands on Cole’s next effort.

Missy Elliott Grabs Victory Over Fellow Songwriter For Aaliyah Royalties

Back in mid-November 2018, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, as well as Aaliyah’s estate, were all taken to court by songwriter, Terry Williams. Specifically, the latter sued them for not receiving any royalties for the late R&B legend’s track, “Heartbroken”. Williams claimed that he co-wrote the song with Missy sometime in between 1994-1995. For those curious, “Heartbroken” would go on to release in 1996. He asserts that the only way that Aaliyah got her hands on the record was because Missy sneakily sold the record to her behind his back. Furthermore, Williams says that him and the legendary femcee signed a deal to share the profits from “Heartbroken”.

With that background information in hand, let’s fast forward to today because we have a new update from AllHipHop. After tons of disproving from Elliott and lots of hard thinking from Judge Quiñones Alejandro, the latter is giving the win to the rapper. There is a three-year statute of limitations on issues like these, and Alejandro says that Williams didn’t “exhibit reasonable diligence in recognizing the alleged infringement”. It’s worth noting that Williams also took Missy to court over records penned going back to 1993, too.

Missy Elliott Is Getting Full Royalties For Her Work With Aaliyah

In Judge Alejandro’s statement, he says, “Williams commenced this action against Elliott on November 14, 2018, over twenty-two years after the release of ‘Heartbroken.’ Under these circumstances, this Court further finds that Williams has failed to offer evidence that he exercised due diligence. As such, Williams’ co-ownership claim based on the song ‘Heartbroken’ released by Aaliyah is barred by the three-year statute of limitations”. However, this just one of many disputes, as Williams sued her for multiple other artists’ records. But she can still celebrate this one, and its perhaps the most important for Missy.
