New York Knicks Star Accused Of In-Game Antics

The New York Knicks earned a hard-fought game-one victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. The matchup between the teams may have been the most exciting game of the first playoff weekend. The Knicks were led by an unstoppable performance from guard Jalen Brunson. Brunson finished the game with 27 points. Also, Brunson was nearly unstoppable in the second half. Now the Cavaliers are back to the drawing board. The team is hoping to split victories with the Knicks in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers know what they have to do to tie the series. However, Issac Okoro would like for officials to watch Brunson closely. Okoro believes Brunson uses in-game antics to get more favorable calls than other players. When speaking with the media on Monday, here’s what Okoro had to say, “Nodding your head back, falling on the ground when not a lot of physicality is used on you.” It’s interesting to hear Okoro’s comments on the Knicks star.

New York Knicks Looking For 2-0 Lead

It has yet to be determined if the officials will take a closer look at how Brunson plays. However, normally a comment like this will catch the official’s attention. Although we probably won’t know for sure until Game 2 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will be looking up from a big hole if they lose on Tuesday. Giving the Knicks a 2-0 lead heading back to Madison Square Garden would be less than ideal. Both fanbases have been starving for playoff success. This series victory will make or break one fanbase.

Seemingly every player in the NBA tries to get away with as much as possible. Flopping has become such an issue that the league now fines players for doing it. However, it will be interesting to see how the league handles this accusation toward Brunson. One thing is for certain. Okoro’s comments may add more fuel to the Cavaliers-Knicks fire. Do you believe Okoro’s comments are true about Brunson’s style of play? Will we finally see the New York Knicks make the second round of the playoffs? Let us know your thoughts on the series in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Stephen A. Smith’s Hilarious Response To Knicks Tweet

Stephen A. Smith has never tried to hide his NBA fandom. The sports media legend has always lived and died with the New York Knicks. Fans have seen Smith’s tirades on the franchise when they underperform. Or when they miss out on a prized free agent. Something that the Knicks have done a lot of in recent years. However, the team seems to have hit the jackpot with Jalen Brunson. Brunson has been one of the most important free-agent signings of the past season.

No matter how they perform, Smith will always be a Knicks fan. Which is why his response to a tweet from the team’s official account was the perfect response. The Knicks sent out a tweet Thursday asking fans to show themselves in their best Knicks gear. However, Smith had a better idea. In his response to the team, Smith delivered an all-time video clip. Have you ever wondered what it would look like to see Smith suited up for the Knicks? Have no fear, your dreams may now come true.

Stephen A. Smith Shows Excellent Handles In Video Clip

Everything about the video is phenomenal. From the iconic hairline all the way down to the high sock sneaker combination. Smith’s video appeared to show him in his “NBA 2K” form. Showing everything from his Kyrie-like handles to even his dead-eye shooting that mirrored Curry. The video was enough for Knicks fans to wonder if Smith can really hoop like that. While I’m sure, he might not have the identical skill set. But something tells me Stephen A. Smith could put up points in a hurry in his day.

The video was an excellent reminder of not taking yourself so seriously. Smith is not for his brash personality and strong opinions. However, there are moments when Smith can show a lighter side. Smith should be excited, as his Knicks will be back in the NBA Playoffs this season. Do you believe Smith’s Knicks can make a deep run in the Eastern Conference? Or will the media personality have his heart broken once again by his favorite team? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. New York Knicks and NBA Legend Willis Reed Dead at 80

New York Knicks and NBA Legend Willis Reed Dead at 80

New York Knicks icon Willis Reed, the leader of the franchise’s only two championships, has died at 80 years old.

The Knicks organization released a statement:

The Knicks organization is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Captain, Willis Reed. As we mourn, we will always strive to uphold the standards he left behind – the unmatched leadership, sacrifice and work ethic that personified him as a champion among champions. His is a legacy that will live forever. We ask everyone to please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

Reed played for 10 years in the NBA, winning the 1965 Rookie of the Year Award and the 1970 MVP. He was named to the All-Star game seven times and a five-time All-NBA selection. His shining moment came in a game on May 8, 1970.

In a Game 7 battle against Wilt Chamberlain and the Los Angeles Lakers, Reed led the Knicks into Madison Square Garden after missing Game 6 with a thigh injury. Stunning the crowd, Reed strolled out of the tunnel with a broadcasting icon delivering “Here comes Willis” for the call. Reed would score the opening two baskets of the game, providing a jolt through the team, including his Hall of Fame teammate Walt “Clyde” Frazier, who dropped 36 points and 19 assists in bringing the first championship to New York City.

“Willis Reed was the ultimate team player and consummate leader. My earliest and fondest memories of NBA basketball are of watching Willis, who embodied the winning spirit that defined the New York Knicks’ championship teams in the early 1970s,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. “He played the game with remarkable passion and determination, and his inspiring comeback in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals remains one of the most iconic moments in all of sports.”

A retelling of the magical basketball moment is available below.

During the first of these title runs, Reed won both league MVP and Finals MVP. Sadly, the NBA legend passed away today at the age of 80. Following this news, the New York Knicks released a statement on the matter.

“The Knicks organization is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Captain, Willis Reed,” the statement read. “As we mourn, we will always strive to uphold the standards he left behind — the unmatched leadership, sacrifice and work ethic that personified him as a champion among champions. His is a legacy that will live forever. We ask everyone to please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.”

For those who may not know, Reed had an incredible moment in the 1970 NBA Finals that has stood the test of time. During that series, he had suffered an awful injury that many thought would be impossible to come back from. However, the legend came back in Game 7 when his team needed him the most. Reed subsequently went on to score two quick baskets, and his team took care of the rest. It was one of the defining moments of the NBA during that era, and Reed will always be remembered for his tenacity.

Overall, this is a massive loss for the NBA community. Reed is one of those incredible players who helped the league become what it is today. Additionally, if you love the Knicks, Reed is someone that should absolutely be revered in your household. Our heart goes out to his family, friends, and the NBA world during this time. RIP to a legend.

Julius Randle Is First Knick Since Carmelo Anthony To Drop 50 in the Garden

Julius Randle went crazy in the Garden on Monday night. In a match-up against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Randle dropped a career-high 57 points but still fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 140-134.

Randle’s points were dropped in a come-from-behind effort as the Knicks were down as much as 17 points. A third-quarter explosion of 26 points from Randle brought the team closer, but it wasn’t enough to get the team over the hump.

Randle shot 19-for-29 from the field, including shooting over 50% (8-for-14) from three. He also made 11 of 13 free throws through 37 minutes of game action.

Randle was the first Knick to drop 50 in the Garden since Carmelo Anthony had 62 in January of 2014.

Taureen Prince dropped 25 points for the Wolves, and Mike Conley added 24.

The Knicks will aim to bounce back on Wednesday against the Miami HEAT.

Jason Sudeikis Surprises Fans With His Jump Shot: Watch

Jason Sudeikis is on top of the world these days. Although he went through a messy divorce from Olivia Wilde, his show Ted Lasso is immensely popular. People absolutely love the Apple TV series where he plays a loveable soccer coach who is a little in over his head. Overall, it is the kind of feel-good series that is easy to binge-watch, and it also provides fans with a nice laugh during these tough times. Additionally, it helps that Sudeikis is a phenomenal comedic actor who does a truly great job in the show.

If you know anything about the actor, you have at least a brief understanding that he is good at sports. At one point, he got a college scholarship to play ball, even if it wasn’t in the NCAA. Ultimately, if people are giving you a scholarship to play a sport, you probably have at least a little bit of talent. Recently, Sudeikis got an opportunity to show off this talent on the biggest stage. Below, you can see a clip of the actor on the floor at Madison Square Garden, where he took a quick shot from beyond the arc.

Jason Sudeikis From Three

Sudeikis ended up hitting the shot with ease. Subsequently, Sudeikis got a bit of praise from those who were on the court with him. Overall, it was pretty cool to watch him hit the shot in such a legendary building. Moreover, it should be noted that the Knicks are one of the best shows in the entire NBA right now. They are on a huge role, and if you love the team, you have every reason to be excited about the future. They may not be title contenders, but they certainly could be in a few years’ time.

In the tweets below, fans reacted to the Sudeikis shot. Ultimately, the reactions were all very kind, as it is very hard to hate someone like Sudeikis. Either way, perhaps the Knicks should consider him if they ever need a depth player. Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Fat Joe Rips Nets Fans Who Are Now Going For The Knicks

Fat Joe has always been a New York Knicks fan. Whenever there is a Knicks game in town, you can expect Fat Joe to be there. However, as a fan of the Knicks, he understands what it is like to have a broken heart. The Knicks are not exactly a beacon of success these days. Although, they are trying to change those fortunes. They have one of the hottest teams in the entire NBA, and New Yorkers are actually looking forward to the postseason. That said, there are others who are still preparing for the worst.

Overall, this Knicks’ success has created a conundrum for some fans. This is because a lot of New Yorkers abandoned the Knicks for the Brooklyn Nets. Of course, this was because of the addition of KD and Kyrie. Now, however, both of those men are gone and the Knicks are the better New York team. As Fat Joe explained in a recent social media stream, some Nets fans are trying to migrate back to the Knicks. The legendary artist is not having any of this, however, as he told those fickle fans to stay in their lane.

Fat Joe Wants Nets Fans To Stay In Their Lane

“My Knicks? Phenomenal. Hottest team in the NBA. What’s up? [Jalen] Brunson back, we beat The Joker. You gotta stop,” Joe said. “Look, do me a favor, fake people. All of a sudden, I’m driving around New York, and I’m seeing Knick jackets, Knick hats, they coming up to me, ‘Yeah, brother, let’s go Knicks!’ No, you is Brooklyn. You know how you on Instagram and get them fake little ads now, ‘Yo Brooklyn Nets fans?’ My, how the tables have turned!”

Overall, the artist makes a great point. These days, there are too many fake fans who like to change their allegiances. Real fans suffer through the pain of their team’s losses. If you’re just going to switch teams based on who is winning, well, your values are in the gutter. Either way, it is nice to see the Knicks doing something right for once. Let us know what you think of Fat Joe’s comments, down below.

SOURCE SPORTS: Iggy Azalea Hits MSG Floor to Salute Jalen Burnson After Big Game

Fo5kuK agAEB1Io

On Monday night (Feb. 13) against the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson put on a show in front of the home fans.  Brunson ended up with 40 points in a 124-106 win at Madison Square Garden.  The Garden was packed to see the cross-town rivals go at it, which included some A-list celebrities.  One celebrity was excited not just for the Knicks, but for Brunson’s performance.

The former Dallas Mavericks guard shot 71% from the field, including 66% from three-point range.  After his postgame interview, Brunson and the “Fancy” rapper met on the court where they hugged and conversed before taking a photo.  We can only wonder what was said between the two as Brunson covered his mouth with his towel while talking to Iggy.  The 32-year-old rapper has been known to be a fan of basketball.

Back in 2016, she dated former Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young before dating rapper Playboi Carti.  Carti was recently arrested for allegedly choking his girlfriend, who is pregnant with his child.  The former Grand Hustle artist took to Twitter to discuss the situation.  In a series of tweets, she claims that this is who he is, and it is not new.

“Been there. Done that. Warned you.”

“Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too”

Iggy went on to discuss their 2-year-old son as well, claiming the 26-year-old rapper rarely sees his son.  Lately, the “Black Widow” rapper has been the talk of the Internet as she has started her OnlyFans page.  She is expected to release her fourth studio album this year.

Jalen Brunson Links With Iggy Azalea After Knicks Win

Jalen Brunson has been a godsend for the New York Knicks. Before this season, the Knicks had only reached the NBA Playoffs once in the last nine seasons. Additionally, they had lost their last seven straight games against their cross-town rival the Brooklyn Nets coming into the 2022-23 season. But, Brunson came to New York from Dallas at the start of the year to change all of that. In Dallas, alongside superstar Luka Doncic, Brunson averaged 16.3 points and 4.8 assists per game last year. Now, as a Knick, he is averaging a career-high in points at 23.9 per game and a career-high in assists at 6.2 per game.

With this elevated performance, the fifth-year point guard is ending losing streaks and has the Knicks in a prime position to earn a playoff spot. On Monday (Feb. 13), the Knicks finally beat the Brooklyn Nets 124-106 in Madison Square Garden. The Nets, now without their former stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant who left via trade last week, had beaten the Knicks in their first two matchups this season. However, with a now weakened roster, Brunson and his team took full advantage. Jalen racked up 40 points and 5 assists in the victory. At 32-27 now, the Knicks are the 7th-ranked team in the Eastern Conference and sit just 0.5 games back of the Miami Heat at 6th. And Jalen Brunson is to thank for that.

Jalen Brunson and Iggy Chat

After his ritualistic postgame interview following the team’s victory Monday, Brunson was given props by a fellow celeb. With an on-court rendezvous, rapper Iggy Azalea greeted Brunson. Congratulating him on the win, Azalea hugged Jalen and the two proceeded to chat for a while. There was no audio of the conversation, which led fans to be curious about what the two could be discussing. The ball player and the rapper do not have much in common, and there have not been any rumors of romance preceding this. So, it is left up to the viewers’ imaginations what their conversation could have consisted of.

Regardless, Iggy as had quite an eventful start to 2023 herself. Along with the controversial launch of her OnlyFans page, Iggy teased a new project soon to release. Titled Hotter Than Hell, it will be Azalea’s first full-length release since 2021’s The End of an Era and its subsequent deluxe. It seems like Iggy has a lot going for her lately, much like her new friend Jalen Brunson.

LeBron James Drops Triple Double and Moves Up All-Time Assists List in Win Over Knicks

LeBron James is going crazy right now. During a trip to Madison Square Guarde to play the Knicks, King James dropped 28 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds en route to a win and becoming the fourth all-time leader in NBA assists. Need more? He inched even closer to passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the All-Time scoring list.

In taking the fourth spot on the list, King James passed up a couple of point Gods in Mark Jackson (10,334) and Steve Nash (10,335).

“It’s amazing because that’s just what I love to do and get my guys involved,” said James to ESPN. “Anytime you link with some of the greats — Mark Jackson played here, was drafted here by the Knicks, so it’s a super cool thing. And obviously, we know when Nash was [in the league]; I played against him for many, many years. His ability to pass the ball was very uncanny.”

You can see highlights from the win below.
