Ice Spice Drives Fans Wild On NYC Streets By Twerking From Her Car

Ice Spice is going to great lengths to promote her upcoming debut album Y2K, and making sure that she witnesses the hype around her first-hand. Moreover, she recently drove some male fans on New York City streets wild by popping out from the sunroof of a black SUV and twerking for them for a little bit. The Bronx femcee turned around, laughed, and put on a big smile for the excited onlookers as she made her way through Broadway on whatever business she was on. It’s pretty curious to see these antics and moves considering that her previous creative promo moves didn’t really see her pop out herself.

Furthermore, we hope that Ice Spice felt inspired (whether or not it’s through dancing) to connect with fans more on an in-person level and stick around for the public. After all, she is an absolute superstar right now that probably has as many reasons to both entice and avoid the spotlight before her new LP. Fame is a fickle friend, and one that could really badger the 24-year-old at every turn in ways she can’t control or mitigate. Even a bowling alley shindig with Quavo inspires way more conversations and speculation than it probably should.

Regardless, Ice Spice definitely engages with her admirers online, including a defense of Y2K‘s album cover and its creator David LaChapelle. “David LaChapelle [did] #Y2K!” she shared to social media after people criticized the artwork. “Soooo sweet + legendary he didn’t even charge me cus he f**ks wit a real b***h [lipstick mark emoji]. thank U for all the incredible art you put out through the years this cover means everything to me [red heart emoji]. & yes Y2K was placed on the trash can on purpose can u guess why?”

After that, fans guessed, and perhaps we’ll never know the true answer to that question even after Y2K comes out. With a world tour set for this year as well, Ice Spice might just get the biggest year of her career so far. The Barbadian singer wore a black minidress with a zebra-print jacket, lots of diamond jewelry, blonde braids, and even a diamond flower clip for her hair. It’s never a surprise when she stuns with her fashion choices and sense of style, but it’s always a treat for fans who seek to up their fit game.

Furthermore, all this diamond embellishment makes a whole lot of sense right now, as Rihanna recently became the female artist with the most Diamond-certified singles in the RIAA’s history. She celebrated the occasion with a congratulatory post from Roc Nation as “Work,” “Umbrella,” “Stay,” and “Needed Me” all passed the threshold this week. It’s an amazing achievement and one that really speaks to these hits’ staying power, relevance, and resonance. RiRi’s other Diamond hits obviously include “Diamonds,” as well as “We Found Love” and “Love The Way You Lie.”

However, all these accolades do have fans pondering on a long-asked, desperate, and highly anticipated question: when will Rihanna’s next Diamond hit come out? Fans have been asking for the long-awaited ninth solo studio album for over eight years now, and while there have been a lot of teases and promises, they are still empty-handed. Regardless of the wait, more recent hints indicate that it might land sooner than we think. But at this point, it’s all just a guessing game.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is just as prone to pushing her own sense of fashion and style as she is to developing her status as an entrepreneur and businesswoman in that field. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been hit with some challenges ever since he took office. Overall, he isn’t exactly the most popular man in the world. Many are unimpressed with the changes he has made to the city and public transportation in particular. Moreover, some believe the city has become way too overpoliced since he took office. Now, however, Adams faces a new dilemma thanks to the allegations against Diddy. As Adams suggested last week, he is thinking of revoking the artist’s key to the city.

Recently, Adams was on 94.7’s “Jonesy in the Morning” radio show. It was here where he was asked again about the Diddy scandal and the footage of the artist hitting Cassie. Adams reiterated that it was disgusting and that he may have to take his key of the city away. “That video, as you saw, was really, really painful to watch,” Adams explained. “As a person who has two sisters, you know, I was really troubled by it.”

All-in-all, it isn’t that easy, especially since the city has never had to do something like this. At this stage, there is no telling if they even can revoke his key. Only time will tell what happens next for Diddy as many look to distance themselves from him.

Nas Tapped As Potential Recipient Of The Key To New York City If It’s Revoked From Diddy

Having the key to New York City rescinded from him wouldn’t come close to the biggest problems Diddy is facing right now. The rap mogul has faced months of lawsuits leveling pretty serious accusations of bad behavior across decades. Just this week yet another lawsuit was filed against him. The newest includes claims that he drugged and sexually assaulted a model. Over the weekend, hotel security footage was leaked by CNN that shows Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie. The video backed up claims made by Cassie in a lawsuit filed late last year.

Now that the controversy has built up, fans online are calling for various boycotts of Diddy. Recently, exercise equipment company Peloton announced they would be removing his music from all future classes they put out. There’s also been plenty of pressure applied by both fans and even members of government themselves for the rap mogul’s key to the city to be revoked. When TMZ spoke to come representatives about it, a different rap figure from the city’s history emerged as a potential replacement, Nas. Diddy first received the key to the city last year, just a few months before the lawsuit filed by Cassie dropped.

Although for those in charge of the portal, it has been an absolute nightmare. Well, it seems like things have been shut down for the time being. This is all because an OnlyFans model by the name of Ava Louise decided to flash the screen in New York. There are a whole lot of legal issues that this could cause, and that is why things were shut down. As for the model, it seems like she is fully getting away with it.

However, her most recent single “Gimmie A Light” turned out to be a disappointment for a lot of people. It didn’t hit how they wanted it to, and some of the lyrics were questionable at best. That said, there is still time for perceptions to change, and there are going to be a whole lot more tracks on the project.

In the lead up to this album, Ice Spice is doing all of the right things from a marketing standpoint. For instance, she just came out with her very own Metrocard in New York City. Overall, Metrocards are a staple in the city and now, some of them will have Spice’s face on them. There are 50,000 being produced, and yesterday, fans came out in droves to try and cop some. These are now collector’s items, and it is clear that regardless of the music, Spice is still managing to drum up hype and interest.

Moving forward, it will be interesting to see what the artist does next. Fans have yet to get an official release date for the album, although the summer seems pretty likely right now. 2024 has already been a fantastic year for music, and a debut album from Ice Spice will certainly fit that ethos nicely. Steve Buscemi Assaulted In Random N.Y.C. Attack

Steve Buscemi, the 66-year-old actor best known for his iconic roles in Pulp Fiction, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and more, was punched in the face in New York City, last week, according to a new report from The New York Post. He was walking through the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan when a stranger took a swing at him unprovoked. Buscemi’s face and left eye began swelling up and he went to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

“Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city,” Buscemi’s publicist told The Post. “He is ok and appreciates everyone’s well wishes, though incredibly sad for everyone that this has happened to while also walking the streets of New York.” The attacker is reportedly still on the run. The NYPD released surveillance photos of a man accused of being the attacker. The pictures show him wearing a baseball hat, a blue t-shirt, and black sweatpants.

Another woman with them added: “He right away got up and ran in the opposite direction. I didn’t see who hit him. It worries me for when we close because we close at 11 and it can get scary around that time.”

During a preview of the interview, the Mayor of New York discusses Rikers Island, political corruption, affordable housing, and more. Fans aren’t thrilled about him appearing on the show during a time of substantial political unrest in New York City.

“I really want to understand his endgame. There are so many ways to access celebrity. Why use the mayoral seat for this? How does this serve NYC?” one fan on Twitter asked. Another wrote: “It’s going to be one of the most vile interviews I’ve ever seen. Mayor Eric Adams is not a good human being cause of his bad cop mentality. Definitely not for Black folks!” Others came to N.O.R.E. and EFN’s defense in the situation. “I know yall New Yorkers dislike this mayor but this is a major accomplishment for NORE & Drink Champs. #1 Hip Hop podcast,” one user posted.

Adams’ appearance on Drink Champs follows a heated interview on The Breakfast Club, last month, during which New York City lawyer Olayemi Olurin pressed him for being a “fearmonger” on crime. She also accused him of “sensationalizing” the recent death of NYPD cop Jonathan Diller. He pushed back against both arguments.

Furthermore, it follows a really prolific stretch for both of them, with Cash Cobain getting a big Drake co-sign over the past few years and dropping his best and most far-reaching material yet.
