Mount Westmore, the quartet of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too $hort, have dropped a new video for their single “MOTTO.”
The catchy Rick Rock Beats-produced music immediately hypnotizes the listener with its undeniable groove, which has you automatically bobbing your head while saying the infectious hook, AYYEE I ain’t trippin’… and before you know it, this song has become your “MOTTO.”
Mount Westmore, an American hip-hop ensemble, will collaborate with Forever 21 to launch a new apparel collection. Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too Short are California-based rappers who embody the Golden State’s rich cultural history and variety. Five gender-neutral pieces are included in the collection, including a jacket, sweatshirt, and a range of shirt designs. The collection includes the classic Mount Westmore emblem as well as special design elements that pay homage to the band’s California heritage.
Forever 21, which was founded in California as well, is thrilled to cooperate with Mount Westmore to deliver this one-of-a-kind collection to music and fashion fans all around the world. The line is available in sizes ranging from small to XXL, with prices ranging from $27.99 to $59.99. Beginning February 2, the limited-edition collection is available for purchase at select Forever 21 retail locations, on Forever21.com, and on the mobile app.
West coast hip hop veterans and California-based rappers Snoop Dogg, E-40, Too Short, and Ice Cube surprised fans in 2020 when they formed the group Mount Westmore. Their debut album, titled Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort, officially released in 2022.
Now the supergroup is back with a surprise collection with Forever 21. Each member is implanted in the Golden State’s rich cultural history and diversity. The new collection features five gender-neutral pieces, including a jacket, sweatshirt and a variety of shirt styles. All items in the collection feature the iconic Mount Westmore logo, as well as custom design elements that pay tribute to the group’s California roots.

Some West Coast legends stopped by The People’s Party With Talib Kweli this week. Ice Cube, E-40, and Too Short, of supergroup Mount Westmore (which also includes Snoop Dogg), made an appearance on the web series, on which, they discussed who could parallel them on the opposite side of the country.
On Ice Cube’s Mount Rushmore of East Coast rappers are Jay-Z and Nas. E-40 noted that he would also include Busta Rhymes in the allotted four, citing his innovative craft.
Short admitted that he would switch up his picks every single time, however, would always include “Hip-Hop Hooray” hitmakers Naughty By Nature in his selection.
While each of them had different picks for East Coast GOATs, 40 maintained that the current Mount Rushmore of West Coast rapper is indisputable.
“I haven’t seen not one person argue about us being Mount Westmore,” E-40 said. “Young or old, you can’t.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Cube, Short, and 40 spoke about another West Coast legend — Tupac — and what he meant to them. 40 recalled Pac shouting him out on one of his earlier albums, before 40 had blown up.
“If he f*cked with you, he f*cked with you,” said 40. “He was uplifting to females and the urban community as well.”

Ice Cube, E-40, Too $hort, and Snoop Dogg form the Mount Rushmore of the West Coast. Each artist has over 30 years under their belt in the rap game. In 2020, they decided to join forces for a West Coast supergroup under the moniker Mount Westmore.

Cube, 40 and Too Short recently sat down with Talib Kweli on The People’s Podcast where they discussed who the East Coast counterparts would be when it comes to a Mount Westmore. The three rappers debated with Kweli on who belongs on the Mount Rushmore of the East Coast. E-40, Short and Cube agreed that Jay-Z and Nas belong in the top four positions, along with Busta Rhymes. However, it was the fourth position that was up for grabs.
Co-host Jasmin Leigh said that the list isn’t limited to artists from New York City rappers. That’s when Talib suggested that Redman deserves the fourth spot. He also said a Wu-Tang member, like Ghostface Killah, was also a candidate to round out the list.
“All of Wu-Tang is dope to me so I don’t know who we would put,” 40 added.
Too Short then suggested that Fat Joe would also be a solid contender. However, the conversation then extended to legends from the 80s such as KRS-one.
“You got to be a little more lightweight, a little more current,” 40 continued. “We need to put them in a whole different category. Them dude are super legends.”
Earlier this month, Mount Westmore released their debut album, Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort, including previously released singles like “Bad MFs.” However, it seems like fans could expect even more music from the legendary artists in the future. Short previously explained that they would be releasing more “volumes” to follow their debut album. No word on when we could expect them to deliver their next project but it seems like they could have a major 2023 ahead of them.
Mount Westmore, the supergroup consisting of California rap pioneers E-40, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Too Short, has released their debut album, Bad MFs, but there’s a catch: Right now, it only exists in the metaverse. The album can be streamed on the blockchain-based platform Gala Music for a limited time, then it will be given a traditional release. The group premiered the project at Gala Music’s Galaverse event in Malta, dropping an introductory video to announce its release.
The album’s release could provide a clue about Snoop Dogg’s plans to bring the Death Row Records catalog, which he recently acquired, to the metaverse. Shortly after he secured the label and its music, Snoop said he wanted to make Death Row the “first NFT label” and this could be what he means.
Mount Westmore kicked their album’s rollout in the spring of 2021, when they announced their union’s official title during E-40 and Too Short’s Verzuz battle, where they also debuted their first group single, “Big Subwoofer.” They followed up the video for the single in October of 2021, then kept the ball rolling with the “Bad MFs” video in March this year.

The greats of the West Coast are linking up this summer. Ahead of their long-anticipated Mount Westmore collaborative album, Snoop Dogg has taken to Instagram to reveal a release date for the project, with features him, E-40, Ice Cube, and Too Short.
Mount Westmore’s album is set to drop June 7. In the trailer, fans can hear a new song, which samples Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson’s “Angel Dust.”
The group first formed around this time last year. In an interview with HotNewHipHop, Snoop said the album would be “magic.”
“You bring the legends of the West Coast together, something great will always happen,” Snoop said. “Cube, 40, Short, and I have been running the game for years. This is the perfect time because each of us brings authentic and new ideas to the table. All four together? That’s magic.”
Also maintaining the group’s legendary status is Too Short, who spoke on the writing and recording process of the album last year in an interview with HipHopDX.
“I’m going to tell you one thing, one beautiful thing about the process is that early on we all acknowledge that in the studio, we are supreme alphas,” Short said. “We’ve always been that way, but on this project, we gave each other the authority to criticize, critique, veto, make suggestions, and just everything is like hands-down, I trust what you saying.
Mount Westmore, the California rap supergroup made up of E-40, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Too Short, has returned with their latest video, “Bad MF’s,” after making their debut last year with “Big Subwoofer.” The new video, shot in striking black-and-white, follows the quartet as they hold court at a photoshoot, record in the studio, and oversee parades of lowrider cars through the streets of Los Angeles over a mellow, funk-laden beat. The video does a great job of showing off the four hip-hop veterans’ easygoing chemistry, which has been forged over decades of reigning as the godfathers of West Coast rap.
Individually, the members of Mount Westmore have been upholding their impressive legacies in different ways, but all have continued to use their stature to extend hip-hop into new arenas and maintain their independent grinds. While Ice Cube promotes his Big 3 basketball league, he recently introduced a Nascar crowd to some of his historical hits. Meanwhile, E-40 has expanded his business interests to the realm of Mexican-style beer with his E. Cuarenta Cerveza company after helping celebrate his and Too Short’s status as Bay Area legends on Verzuz. In February, Short Dawg made the most of that momentum with a Tiny Desk Concert for the history books.
