LeBron James has had a very historic NBA career. In 2023, LeBron is still in the league and still playing at an incredibly high level. However, fans still yearn for the days when he was competing for titles. One would just have to go back to his Heat days to experience it.

Overall, James played four seasons in Miami. During that time, he went to four Finals and won two titles. His second title came in 2013 when his Heat went on to defeat the San Antonio Spurs. It was a fantastic series that showcased LeBron’s immense talent.

FTX Loses Naming Rights To Miami Heat Arena Amid Massive Scandal

If you are someone who was invested in cryptocurrency, then you probably knew about FTX. Unfortunately, many people lost their life savings with the exchange as it was promptly shut down. It has since declared bankruptcy, and now, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is looking at a lengthy prison sentence.

Overall, things do not look good for SBF. The entrepreneur is now being charged with fraud, money laundering, and even conspiracy. Needless to say, no one wants anything to do with his company. This is especially true of sports teams who were sponsored by the exchange.

FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried leaves Manhattan Federal Court on January 03, 2023 in New York City. FTX Vs. Miami Heat

NBA fans are well aware of the fact that the Miami Heat’s arena was called “FTX Arena.” The naming rights were purchased for $135 million just two years. Since the scandal, however, the Heat has been trying to get the name removed from its building. According to TMZ, those efforts have officially become successful.

Consequently, all FTX logos will be removed from outside of the arena. Additionally, any FTX branding on the court will also have to go. Over the past month, the exchange’s logos have remained on the floor in the arena, which has definitely caused some confusion.

Overall, it can certainly be said that the Heat are just happy to rid themselves of the brand. Now, they won’t have to field any unfortunate questions about the situation.

It remains to be seen who will win the naming rights next. Perhaps the Heat will have the foresight to stay away from crypto this time.

Dewayne Dedmon Throws Massage Gun On The Court: Watch

Dewayne Dedmon is a veteran player in the NBA, who has had a difficult season. He is currently averaging under 12 minutes per game and is averaging under 6 points and 4 rebounds. However, he is still a veteran player that the team leans on for support and solid play.

Unfortunately, there have been times when Dedmon has been frustrated with his teammates and his head coach. Erik Spoelstra might be one of the best coaches in the league, however, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t tick some guys off. On Tuesday night, that is exactly what happened.

Dewayne Dedmon Snaps

While taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dedmon had some words with Coach Spo during a huddle. Dedmon was clearly unhappy with the exchange, and he promptly through a massage gun on the court. Consequently, he was ejected for his gesture.

Overall, it was a pretty shocking moment as the players had no idea what was happening. The referees were very unhappy and they certainly let it be known. As for Spoelstra, he was disappointed by the move, saying “We’re all a bunch of gnarly personalities … That part was unacceptable.”

Despite the outburst from Dedmon, Jimmy Butler led the Heat to a 112-11 victory. It was a nail-biter that included an NBA record for the Heat. They went 40-40 from the free-throw line, which is absurd. Butler went 23-23, which ultimately allowed his team to get the win. Although it has been a difficult year for the Heat, they are finding ways to win games.

This is still a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the NBA. Additionally, let us know what you think of Dedmon’s actions, in the comments below.

Kevin Durant to Receive MRI After Injury During Game Against HEAT

Kevin Durant will undergo an MRI on Monday Morning to determine the extent of a knee injury he suffered Sunday night in a game against the Miami HEAT. KD’s Brooklyn Nets would hold on to win 102-101.

Durant was injured with minutes left in the third quarter as Jimmy Butler would fall into his knee after getting his shot blocked by Durant’s teammate Ben Simmons. Durant would head to the locker room after trying to play through the pain for the next couple of possessions.

Nets teammate Kyrie Irving stated the play was a bit scary.

“I was right there. Those plays are scary,” Irving said to ESPN. “Because when someone’s not looking [at] what’s going on, anything can happen in those moments, so I’m grateful that all that time he’s put in the weight room, putting his body in a great position, his body was able to save him from something worse.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Knicks Add Former Rival Tim Hardaway As a Talent Scout

It appears the New York Knicks have locked in an old rival from the 90s to help mold the franchise’s future.

On Thursday, Marc Berman of the New York Post reported that the Knicks had hired Tim Hardaway Sr. as their newest scout. The franchise didn’t publicly announce their acquisition of the former star point man this season.

Hardaway served as an assistant coach to former Detroit Pistons’ head coach Stan Van Gundy from 2014-to 2018.

Hardaway was the heart and soul of the 90’s Miami Heat, who had lengthy playoff battles with the Knicks throughout the decade. Before that, he was a member of the RunTMC Golden State Warriors and Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin. In their time, the trio was an offensive nightmare for their opponents.

After almost 20 years of waiting from retirement, his name is set to be immortalized in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2022 on September 10th. If Hardaway can bring anything to a dormant Knicks franchise, scouting-wise, it would be a needed welcome to the organization.

DJ Khaled Gave Erik Spoelstra An In-Game Shoulder Rub During Game 5 Of Heat-Sixers

The Miami Heat played host to the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal series on Tuesday night. With things tied up in the series at 2-2, the game was of the upmost importance for both teams, as a win would put them on the verge of making the conference finals.

Because the game took place in Miami, the fans were raucous and clad in white shirts, something that has become commonplace when they host playoff games. One fan did not follow along with that, though: DJ Khaled, who had a seat right near Miami’s bench.

At one point in the third quarter, the ball went out of bounds behind Khaled, and he decided to spring into action. After making sure he gave the ball to Max Strus, Khaled started clapping, which got the crowd fired up. He then walked up the sideline towards the middle of the scorer’s table, but because he is not allowed to check in due to his not being a basketball player, Khaled turned around and went back to his seat. Before he could do that, though, he had to walk past Erik Spoelstra, to whom he gave a quick shoulder rub.

Between this and his airball during Heat-Hawks, it’s been quite the postseason for DJ Khaled.

DJ Khaled Was Sent Back To His Courtside Seat After He Airballed A Shot During The Miami Heat’s Game

DJ Khaled is always full of energy, at least when he’s in the public eye. It’s clear through his enthusiastic skits on his albums like Khaled Khaled or one-off collaborations like Latto’s “Big Energy” remix with Mariah. There are also his social media videos and behind-the-scenes clips with friends and other celebrities. Nowadays, Khaled has plenty to celebrate as he recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. He accepted the honor with Diddy, Fat Joe, and Jay-Z beside him during the ceremony last week. Khaled seems to still be in a celebratory mood, and the high energy that comes on was on full display during the Miami Heat’s recent playoff game.

On Sunday, the Miami Heat kicked off the first round of the NBA playoffs with a Game 1 matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. DJ Khaled was in attendance at the game as he sat courtside with his family. During a break in the game’s action, Khaled decided to leave his seat and walk onto the court in order to grab a ball and attempt a three-pointer. Despite the ambitious attempt, the shot was a complete airball, and soon enough, a security guard arrived to send him back to his seat.

While the airball might have been disappointing to Khaled, his Miami heat did win the playoff game by a score of 115-91. This is also not Khaled’s first attempt at some on-court action. Back in February, he tried his hand at the Skills Challenge obstacle course for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend. This also resulted in an airball from Khaled, but he made up for it by sinking his following shot.

You can check out Khaled’s airball from Game 1 in the video above.

SOURCE SPORTS: Miami Heat Secure the Number 1 Seed in the Eastern Conference

FPyWCbCXwAMOUyx

The NBA playoffs are a week away and it appears that the Miami Heat has clinched the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. After losses by the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76er, the route towards the NBA Finals must come through Miami.

The Heat came out on top of the competitive Eastern Conference despite stars Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo missing significant time throughout the season. With just two seasons removed from the team’s last NBA Finals appearance, not many have the Heat in this position.

The Heat will have to wait a few more days to see who will be their first-round opponent. As it stands right now, it could be either the Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, or Charlotte Hornets. The Heat’s opponent will be determined by the league’s play in tournament that is set to start on Tuesday.
