Cam’ron Claps Back At Melyssa Ford & Threatens To Sue For Defamation

Cam'ron, Melyssa Ford

Cam’ron is not holding back after former video vixen Melyssa Ford accused him and his co-host Mase of engaging in sexual acts with underage girls. The legendary Harlem rapper has since threatened to sue for defamation.

Cam’ron Goes OFF

Cam’ron has responded to Melyssa Ford’s recent accusations, claiming that he and Mase engaged in sexual activities with underage girls. On Dec. 7, the former Dipset member went live on Instagram and addressed the allegations made by Ford:

“Thats some foul sh*t to say …and the times we in for you to make them type of allegations, [when you] don’t know what the f*ck you talking. You serious?” Cam’ron said.

Cam’ron also stated that he was contemplating a defamation lawsuit and took a dig at Ford for offering what he called a “fake apology.”

“I don’t even know who convinced her to do this shit, but whoever did, that was smart because now if I sue n*ggas for defamation of character, I’m a sucker, right? Well, I might be a sucker. I don’t know yet, I’m thinking about it … pause.”

Cam also joked about Ford not being from America, since she’s Canadian:

“You can’t just say shit like that and two days later be like, ‘Oh, my bad. I wasn’t thinking.’ You damn right you wasn’t thinking! Why say that in the beginning? You not even from here! You not even from this country!”

What Happened?

Users on Twitter (X) reacted to Cam’ron going after Ford on his live.

One user named @R9Hov commented, “This is corny..all the guys from the  JBP scolded Melissa when she said that shit, “and one other user named @M4 was dead wrong for that comment. I deff understand why he’s going off like this.”

The conflict originated on Nov. 29, when Cam shared a story on his sports show, It Is What It Is, about him and his co-host Mase, having encounters with escorts in the 1990s. In response, during an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, where Ford is a co-host, they reacted to the story and raised concerns that some of the escorts might have been underage girls.

“Is there a distinct possibility that there may have been underage girls in that whore house?” Ford asked.

Joe Budden would respond to Ford by saying, “I don’t know what you’re doing, but it’s disgusting what you’re doing.”

Neither Ford nor Budden has responded directly to Cam’ron’s comments, leaving the situation unresolved for the time being.

‘It Is What It Is’

In August 2023, Cam’ron and Mase found success outside of music with their sports talk show, It Is What It Is, securing an eight-figure deal with Underdog Fantasy

The duo covers a range of sports topics, conducts athlete interviews, and offers sports analysis, showcasing their talents beyond the rap industry.

In September 2023, Mase allegedly reconciled with former label boss Diddy, resolving their two-decade-long feud. Cam’ron revealed that Mase finally received his publishing from Diddy. Notably, however, Diddy faced allegations of sexually assaulting an underage girl in 2003, adding a layer of complexity to the situation.

Tasha K Sued For Defamation By Cardi B

This incident echoes another recent defamation case involving YouTuber Tasha K, and Cardi B. Tasha K faced a lawsuit from Cardi B for suggesting that the Bronx rapper had an STD and worked as a prostitute, with Cardi claiming emotional distress caused by these statements.

For the past few days, podcast hosts Cam’ron and Melyssa Ford have been going back and forth, generating quite a bit of buzz among the fans of both shows as the two millennial favorites unfurl their friction for all the world to see.

If you are up on everything that’s happened, here’s a quick refresher.

Who Is Melyssa Ford?

Ford, who currently appears as a co-host on The Joe Budden Podcast, started her career much like her co-host and her new rival — in the world of rap. However, where they rose to fame behind the mic, she did so in front of the camera as an in-demand video vixen, appearing in clips from the likes of Jay-Z, Ghostface Killah, Mystikal, Jadakiss, and Usher. In the mid-2010s, after making a run at a film and television career, she made the pivot to podcasting, appearing on the Hollywood Unlocked show until 2020 when she started her own show. She joined the Joe Budden Podcast earlier this year.

What Did Melyssa Ford Say About Cam’ron?

It was during a recent episode of Joe’s show that Ford started the feud. Responding to Cam’s on-air anecdote about a wild trip to a brothel in the ’90s, Ford wondered aloud, “Is there a distinct possibility that there may have been underage girls in that whore house?” While she was chastised by her co-host, when Cam learned of her comments, he went all the way off.

What Did Cam’ron Say About Melyssa Ford?

Back on Cam’ron’s show, It Is What It Is with fellow Harlem rapper Mase, the de facto Dipset top man addressed Ford’s remarks, saying, “Tread lightly. Be careful ’cause I’ll tell you one thing: I know a lot of people at ICE [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement]. I’ll have you escorted back up across the border [Ford is originally from Canada]… It screams desperation. We’ll get a petition to get you out the country. Cut it out.”

Ford later apologized, but Cam wasn’t having it. During an Instagram Live stream, he denied her suggestion that and Mase had sex with underage girls, then called her apology “fake” and accused her of escorting herself.

“First of all, I only like older b*ches,” he said. “Second of all, it was 1992 — we were underage! I just turned 16!” Shutting down her apology, he fumed, “You can’t just say sh*t like that and two days later be like, ‘Oh, my bad. I wasn’t thinking.’ You damn right you wasn’t thinking! Why say that in the beginning?… I could’ve went straight to: Ice-T f*cked you in the bathroom for $2,000 when you was doing waitressing. I didn’t even go there! You used to f*ck in the bathroom at the Kit Kat Club or one of them old-ass clubs. Stop, you a video vixen!”

He also couldn’t help getting in a jab at his fellow rapper turned show host (who can’t seem to stop getting himself into these situations). “Shout out to Joe Buddens for hiring all these washed n****s,” he cracked. “You should open up a dry cleaning.”

Benzino Brags About Wild Sex Life In Salacious Interview

Benzino, former editor of Source and father to Coi Leray, recently opened up about his sex life in an interview with The Danza Project. The 58-year-old was more than happy to brag about some of his past conquests. “I have fucked some of the most beautiful-lest women on this planet. A gang of ’em. I used to be the owner of The Source magazine. Top rappers and top actresses. I like light-skinned, dark-skinned — I love women. I fucked Melyssa Ford at my video shoot. And we kicked it. We went on a date. I flew her from Canada. She’s a real sweet person, you know what I’m saying?” Benzino told the show.

Melyssa Ford is a particularly heavy name for Benzino to drop. Ford has been modeling since the 90s and appeared in many notable music videos. Her credits include Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’” and Sisqó’s “Thong Song Remix”. However, in recent years, Ford has spoken out about music videos, calling them “demeaning to women”. She is currently the co-host of The Joe Budden Podcast and has previously been linked to the likes of Drake and Flo Rida.

Benzino Admits To Being An Asshole At The Source

Speaking of the 90s, Benzino also recently opened up about his time as EIC at Source. Turns out, albeit somewhat unsurprisingly, Benzino was not the nicest of guys. “I had to learn and grow into this because I did not grow up with this. I grew up with other shit. So I was an asshole sometimes. And I know that. I wasn’t right. And that’s not the way to be. You know? You have to try to stay in your lane in certain things. But I was transitioning. And to this day… people still think, you know, I’m that asshole. I was the top of my motherfuckin’ food chain. Even [Russell Simmons], Lyor [Cohen], all these n-ggas, Steve [Stoute] and everybody, they all had to answer to somebody,” he told My Expert Opinion.

Furthermore, he continued. “I was the top of a damn near $75 million company when n-ggas wasn’t getting money like that. I got that big money first and I was the top of that. So when the Eminem thing came through The Source, at this point it’s getting disrespectful. So how the fuck am I gonna have this n-gga in my magazine? Would you? You’re not gonna put nobody in your magazine to give this n-gga five mics after this n-gga’s being disrespectful. You wouldn’t do it, man. Nobody would.”
