Russell Westbrook will be moving across the hall of Staples Center. The future Hall of Famer has agreed to a buyout with the Utah Jazz and will join the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to ESPN, Westbrook’s agent, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports, reports the point guard will receive the remainder of his $47 million deal with the Jazz and take on the starting role next to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Before deciding to join the Clippers, Westbrook spoke with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, and Miami HEAT. Westbrook told the Clippers for a chance to win a championship.
Before the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers traded Westbrook as an overhaul for the team. For the season, Westbrook is averaging 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists.
Russell Westbrook did not have a very good time with the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, he played like a shell of his former self. He was much better during his previous stint with the Washington Wizards. That said, he had to accept a bench role with the Lakers as things were not going well for him. Although he was able to improve his play, it became clear that he had no chemistry with the team. This led to plenty of trade talks. Subsequently, he was sent to the Utah Jazz who were very clearly looking to buy out his contract.
Over the last few days, there have been various reports surrounding Westbrook and where he will go next. According to various reports, Westbrook was set to either sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, or the Miami Heat. Interestingly enough, the only true title contender here was the Clippers. Moreover, they boast the talents of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Needless to say, they are a team that would make a lot of sense for Russ.
Russell Westbrook Decides
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, that is exactly where Russ has decided to go. Overall, they are a team in need of a point guard. They just traded away John Wall, who was not as good as they had hoped. Consequently, Russ has less pressure than he otherwise would have. Regardless, he still has to shake off just how bad he was in Los Angeles. That is not going to be an easy task, although, with some superstar teammates around him, it could be a lot easier to achieve. Either way, the Clippers are now going to be hit with immense pressure as their new big three has been established.
The Western Conference is looking stacked right now, so it is going to be hard for the Clippers to break through. However, they definitely have a chance to do something great. Only time will tell whether or not Russ will live up to the moment over these last few games of the regular season. Let us know what you think of this move, in the comments below. Charles Barkley is someone who is known for being harsh and realistic about the chances of other teams. He is what the youth would call an “oldhead” when it comes to the world of basketball. Overall, he believes that his era was the best, and there is nothing you can do to convince him otherwise. For many sports fans, this attitude can be quite tiresome. However, there is no doubt that Barkley is an entertaining guy, which is ultimately why TNT keeps him employed.
Over the course of the last few years, the TNT crew has been skeptical of the Los Angeles Clippers. This is mostly due to the fact that Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are rarely on the floor together. Consequently, their team has had inconsistent spells in the regular season and the postseason. Overall, it has not been a good look for a team that was supposed to win a title before the LeBron Lakers. In the most recent episode of Inside the NBA, Barkley made sure to let the Clippers know about just how inconsistent they truly are.
Charles Barkley Speaks
“I’ll tell you what’s going to be interesting: this Clippers team in the Playoffs,” Barkley said. “They can win it, or they could lose in the first round. They are talented. They’re deep. They play great defense. … I picked them to win the West but they are… they got different personalities. Dr. Phil would have a field day with this team.” As it stands, the Clippers are simply praying for the health of Kawhi Leonard. Additionally, they are currently in talks with Russell Westbrook, which can either be very good or very bad for that roster.
At this point, the Western Conference is wide open. There are six teams that could realistically make a deep run. For now, however, the Clippers will continue to elicit skepticism until they are fully healthy and continue to play at a consistently high level. As always, let us know what you think of Charles Barkley and his remarks, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.
Russell Westbrook is one of the most talked about point guards in the entire NBA. Unfortunately for Westbrook, this isn’t always for the best reasons. During his last few years with the Lakers, he has not been great. Overall, there is this narrative surrounding him that is fairly negative. People aren’t rocking with him the way they used to, and no one knows whether he can still be effective in the league. Subsequently, his future is truly up in the air.
As it stands, Westbrook is playing for the Utah Jazz. For now, however, the team is simply sitting him until further notice. While the team has stated that they could very well keep him, they would rather buy him out, allowing him to go as he pleases. Although, some reporters like Shams Charania believe there is no market for Russ. That said, it is clear that some teams are actually very interested.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Russ is currently engaged in conversations with four teams. These squads are the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and even the Washington Wizards. Overall, there is only one real title contender here, and that’s the Clippers. Although, there is no real guarantee that this Clippers team goes anywhere considering their injury history. Either way, players like Paul George want to see Russ join the roster, which is a point in the point guard’s favor. No matter what, it is clear that this is going to be an interesting few weeks for Westbrook.
Hopefully, he is able to find an NBA home that truly wants him. We’re sure these past few weeks have been difficult for him and his family. It is clear that Russ can still play at a high level. Overall, he just needs a chance to showcase that. Having said this, let us know where you think Russ should play next, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from the NBA.
Just a few months ago, John Wall was finding himself with some issues within the Houston Rockets organization. Overall, it was clear that he didn’t really want to be there. The team was going with a much younger group of players, and at the end of the day, Wall got the short end. In the media, Wall was very adamant that his time with the Rockets was “beyond trash.” Furthermore, he noted that he would never want to play for an organization like that again.
In the off-season, Wall was able to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. This made him the starting point guard for players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. However, Wall hasn’t been playing all that well. Subsequently, the Los Angeles Clippers have been looking for a way to get rid of Wall. There has been speculation that he would either be traded or be bought out entirely. Well, today is the trade deadline and it seems like the Clippers have found a trade suitor.
John Wall Back To Houston
Unfortunately, for John Wall, that trade suitor just so happens to be the Houston Rockets. This trade involves three teams, including the Clippers, the Rockets, and the Memphis Grizzlies. This was a deal that they had been looking to make for a while, and while they aren’t getting a huge return for John Wall, they can now go out and pursue a new point guard. There have been numerous reports suggesting that they would go after Russell Westbrook. Russ is currently on the Jazz, although they would rather just buy out his contract. Having said that, Westbrook could prove to be a great fit for that team.
Overall, this is a very sad situation for Wall whose future is now up in the air. He certainly won’t be happy to find himself back in Houston. Overall, it remains to be seen what he is going to do next. Hopefully, Wall finds a new NBA home that isn’t Houston, sooner rather than later. Let us know what you think about this trade, down in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for all the latest news and updates from around the sports world.
Russell Westbrook has had a very difficult time since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, the Lakers weren’t exactly the best fit for him. LeBron James is a ball-dominant player and he didn’t mesh well with Russ. Consequently, Russ was sent to the bench by Darvin Ham and became a sixth-man for the team. While this seemed to work out at first, it became clear that the team could use some massive upgrades, altogether. Subsequently, this led to trade talks, and on Wednesday night, a deal finally got done.
Now, Westbrook is a member of the Utah Jazz. Additionally, the Lakers have gotten back players like Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell. Overall, this is a great trade for the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Jazz have some big decisions to make. Although, it has been made clear by numerous reporters that the goal is to actually just buy out Russell Westbrook’s contract. This would ultimately make him a free agent who could sign with anyone heading into the final stretch of the season.
Russell Westbrook Outlook
There have been numerous questions surrounding what kind of market is out there for Russell Westbrook right now. However, it seems like the market is actually a lot bigger than some are giving credit for. In fact, according to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Los Angeles Clippers have a ton of interest in signing Westbrook. They are on the verge of letting go of John Wall, so this would make sense. Moreover, the Chicago Bulls are also reportedly in on Westbrook. Needless to say, the veteran point guard is experiencing a lot of movement right now.
Today is a very big day for the NBA. Of course, this is because it is officially the trade deadline. Overall, the trade deadline can bring about some blockbuster moves. Many of these moves have already happened, as guys like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been traded. That said, you can expect plenty more trades today. Let us know which trades you want to see, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the NBA world.
Just last week, Kyrie Irving told the Brooklyn Nets that he no longer wanted to be on the team. Originally, Irving was excited to potentially return on a long-term deal. However, his tone quickly changed after the Nets hit him with a deal that contained some unique stipulations. Overall, Kyrie was downright insulted by it all and opted to demand a trade. Moreover, he told the Nets that if he were to not be traded, he would just walk in free agency.
For the Nets, trading Kyrie was an easy decision. You never want to lose a player as talented as Kyrie for absolutely nothing. Furthermore, there are a ton of desperate teams out there who would pay a lot of assets for Kyrie. The team who ultimately won this bidding war was the Dallas Mavericks. They gave up Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a first-round pick, and two second-round picks. As it turns out, the Nets liked this deal the most as it allows them to remain competitive in the immediate future. However, teams like the Los Angeles Clippers ultimately got the short end of the deal.
Clippers Lose Out
According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Clippers had an interesting package for the Nets. This included Luke Kennard, Terance Mann, a first-round pick, and two more second-round pick swaps. While this is a very solid offer, the Nets simply preferred what the Mavericks were giving up. For the Clippers, this was a deal that made sense given the fact that John Wall hasn’t been the point guard they were hoping him to be.
Overall, the Nets’ situation has been very interesting to track. Irving caused all kinds of issues in Brooklyn, and it was only a matter of time before this happened. Despite things appearing to be resolved, the Nets are now down to Kevin Durant and a diminished Ben Simmons. Only time will tell whether or not they can get it together in time for the postseason. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world.
This season, the Raptors have had it rough. They started decently but at this point, some feel like they should just tank. Although they were great three years ago, many of their best players are gone. For some, it might just be time to tank for Victor Wembanyama.
Drake & The Clippers
Last night, Drake was courtside for his team’s loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. Of course, that Clippers team has a couple of players who were on the Raptors championship roster. Those two players are none other than Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell.
Following the game, Drake and Powell shared a hug and some kind words. Subsequently, the Clippers posted about it on their Instagram page with the caption “Kawhi and Norm with a fan.” Never the one to let a joke pass him by, Drake hit back at the Clippers, saying “win a ring.”
If you are the Clippers, that diss is going to have to sting. In the entire history of the franchise, they have yet to win an NBA title. This is especially bad since the Raptors are a young franchise and were still able to win before them. However, if anyone has a better chance of winning a title right now, it would have to be the Los Angeles Clippers.
Drake is a funny guy, and you have to applaud the quick retort toward the Clippers. Unfortunately, the social media strategist is the one who will have to deal with the consequences.

If you are a Los Angeles Clippers fan, then you most certainly know who Clipper Darrell is. He is the team’s most famous fan, and he has been a fixture in the seats at Crypto.com arena. His real name is Darrell Bailey, although his nickname is what most people know him by.
Overall, it has not been an easy team for Darrell to support. After all, the Clippers have only made it to the Western Conference Finals once. Furthermore, they have never won an NBA title. Regardless, he still attends every game, like the legend he is.
Clipper Darrell Vs. Security
Unfortunately, Clipper Darrell got into an altercation with security staff at the Crypto.com arena on Monday night. Following a win against the Celtics, Bailey was looking to leave the arena, when he was stopped by a guard directing fans to the exits.
In footage obtained by TMZ, you can see Bailey talking to the guard, who puts his hand on Darrell. After trying to wave his hand off of him, the guard punches Bailey in the face. Subsequently, the Clipper fan was knocked unconscious and sent to the hospital. Lee Zeidman, the President of the arena, gave an update on the situation to TMZ.
“Clipper Darrell became involved in a verbal and then physical altercation,” Zeidman said. “After receiving immediate medical attention, Darryl was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. An investigation of the incident was launched which determined the employee’s behavior to be a direct violation of our training and approved responses resulting in the immediate termination and arrest of the employee by the LAPD.”
For now, there is no update on Clipper Darrell and his condition. Hopefully, he is doing well. It always sucks to see someone go through something like this, especially since it has been made clear that the guard was in the wrong.
Floyd Mayweather is one of the wealthiest men in the entire sports world. He is someone who has always flaunted that wealth, however, he certainly gives back when he has the chance. Not everyone is as generous with their money, especially when there is no obligation to be. Regardless, Mayweather tries to help when he can.
Additionally, Mayweather enjoys treating himself when the opportunity presents itself. From high-priced artwork at Art Basel to some gorgeous sports cars, Mayweather certainly knows what he likes. Overall, his spending habits certainly have the ability to make you a tad jealous.
Early Christmas With Floyd Mayweather
According to TMZ, Mayweather was in more of a giving spirit on Monday night. The boxing legend was in Los Angeles as he watched the Clippers take on the Boston Celtics at Crypto.com arena. While there, he linked up with five kids, who he decided to provide with an early Christmas gift.
In the video down below, you can see Mayweather talking to five kids who refer to him as “Uncle Floyd.” Overall, it is a pretty cute scene, and it ends with Mayweather giving each kid $1,000. Needless to say, that will be a nice bit of money to start Christmas shopping with.
Mayweather has done things like this in the past, so his most recent bit of generosity should not be that big of a surprise. Regardless, these kids most certainly appreciated the kindness. Christmas is in 11 days, and these young men will now be able to get themselves and their loved ones some well-deserved presents.
As for Mayweather himself, he got to see the Clippers blowout the Celtics. The Celtics are one of the best teams in the league, so it ended up being quite the show for the Crypto.com arena crowd.
