Adam Silver Promotes SKIMS After NBA & WNBA Deal

Adam Silver proudly promotes SKIMS, the shapewear company founded by Kim Kardashian, after the brand recently struck a deal with the NBA and WNBA. “Although I’m not going to show you, I’m wearing them right now. I strongly recommend them to everyone,” Silver told TMZ during a street interview earlier this week. “When guys are more comfortable, makes them play better. So yes, gonna have a direct impact on the game,” Silver added.

SKIMS recently landed a multiyear deal with both the NBA and WNBA in the wake of the launch of its men’s brand, which featured Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as one of the launch models. The shapewear brand will be promoted at “marquee league events” and national television broadcasts will carry “virtual on-court signage” for the brand as well. “Skims has quickly become one of our most culturally influential brands. We look forward to bringing NBA fans and Skims users unique experiences, new offerings and premium products through our partnership,” Silver said in a press statement.

Charles Barkley Presses Adam Silver On Domestic Violence

However, it’s not all been brand promotion for Silver. Charles Barkley used Silver’s appearance on Inside The NBA to confront the league executive about the sharp rise in domestic violence incidents involving NBA players. Silver appeared completely caught off guard by the question. Eventually, he stammered his way through an answer that essentially boiled to “We tell the players that violence is bad”. However, while Silver said that the “consequences are enormous” for the players, the opposite rings true in practice.

The league only suspended repeat offender Miles Bridges for 10 games. Furthermore, they argued that he served 20 games of the original 30-game suspension by being a free agent last season. Meanwhile, Bridges was arrested in recent weeks for violating his protective order against his original victim. Meanwhile, the NBA has said nothing other than the league being “aware of the situation” when it comes to the Kevin Porter Jr. situation. Of course, Silver is never going to say anything revolutionary when it comes to domestic violence. However, it’s far from the answer that Barkley’s question warranted.

Kanye West Has It All Figured Out: Kim Kardashian Details His Humble Lifestyle

Apparently, Kanye West is living a humble life these days with his wife Bianca Censori, and his daughter, North, loves it. On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim discussed some of the struggles she faces as the primary caregiver for her children. Although she’s managed to keep her kids in a luxe mansion, North supposedly loves Ye’s modest way of living. Kim revealed that North actually prefers staying at her dad’s place, which doesn’t include the amenities of security or a chef, rather than her mom’s $60 million that boasts a personal cook and a manny.

“She’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best, he has it all figured out,’” Kim told Kourtney during the episode. “‘He doesn’t have a nanny, he doesn’t have a chef, he doesn’t have security’,” Kim recalled North telling her. “‘He lives in an apartment.’ And then she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment.’” Additionally, North appreciates that Kanye and his wife cook their own food. Kourtney explained that she faces similar challenges with her three kids, Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, who she said would rather stay with their father, Scott Disick.

North West Wants To Own Skims & Yeezy 

The latest episode of The Kardashians comes shortly after North West covered i-D Magazine where she opened up about her aspirations and showcased her personality outside of The Kardashians. During one point in the interview, she revealed that she has many career paths she’d like to pursue including becoming an athlete, a musical artist, and an entrepreneur who ultimately runs both Kanye’s Yeezy brand and Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS. 

“[I want to be] a basketball player, a rapper, um… Well, when I was seven, I wanted to be a boxer. But now I don’t want to be a boxer. I’m going to do art on the side,” she told the publication. “When I’m, like, thirteen, I want to walk dogs, to make money to buy art supplies, because everything around here is so expensive. So a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I sell. Also, one day I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS, and I want to be a business owner.”

North West Made This Much From The “Paw Patrol” Movie

North West has been making quite a few moves as of late. For instance, Kanye and Kim’s oldest daughter was recently on the cover of i-D magazine. During this interview, she detailed what she wants to be when she grows up. Overall, boxer, artist, and owner of SKIMS and Yeezy are all on the table. Moreover, she explained how Kanye is her favorite rapper and her favorite song is “Through The Wire.” She also explained how she would have loved to have met the late artist, Tupac.

According to TMZ, North and her brother Saint got an interesting opportunity recently. The both of them got to be voices in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie. Kim Kardashian was also a voice in the film which is pretty cool. North West got to play a Pomeranian named Mini, while Kim was a character called Delores the poodle. As it turns out, North got to do four recording sessions, while Saint did two. With the movie dropping in theaters, some of their earnings figures are now being made public.

Per the TMZ report, North West made a total of $20K for her work on the film. Each session paid out a total of $5K. When doing the math, you can figure out that Saint made $10K. This subsequently leads to the siblings making a total of about $30K. For kids who are 10 years old and seven years old, respectively, this is a pretty solid haul. As for what they did with the money, we’ll probably never know.

Travis Barker Addresses Rumors He Caused Feud Between Kourtney & Kim Kardashian: “Stop It”

Travis Barker says it’s “ridiculous” to think that his past fling with Kim Kardashian has played a role in her and Kourtney Kardashian’s ongoing feud. The Blink-182 star addressed the rumors during a Los Angeles Times interview. The outlet began by citing his 2016 memoir, Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, And Drums, Drums, Drums. In the book, Barker wrote that Kim was working as Hilton’s closet organizer, and he “kept on secretly checking out Kim” and told a friend, “I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f*cking hot.”

Now, Barker tells the L.A. Times: “It’s like, ‘Kourtney’s fans are worried about Travis. He’s a womanizer.’ Stop it. I obviously shared all that stuff because I wanted to move past it. It was therapeutic for me. […] That’s her sister. She knows we used to talk. Nothing bad was going on. You give people a little information and they think they’ve solved the mystery of ‘this is why they’re fighting.’ It’s just so ridiculous.”

Of course, with parents like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, it’s no wonder she’s already exhibiting such impressive creative talents in an array of areas. Thanks to her TikTok account, we get to see a lot of North’s bold personality shining through on a regular basis, however, it’s her first-ever magazine cover that truly proves how confident she is. On Tuesday (October 31), Kardashian unveiled photos from her eldest daughter’s shoot with i-D, marking a huge debut for her.

In the accompanying interview, the California native has plenty of praise for his father, particularly his “Through The Wire” single, which she named as her most-listened-to song at this time. “I like singing, performing is my favourite,” the growing girl told the outlet. When asked if she thinks that passion is inherited from her family, North replied, “Sometimes. Mostly from me though, and then a little bit of my dad.”

Saint West Is Just Like Ye: 7-Year-Old Gives Paparazzi Middle Finger As Kim Kardashian Watches

Between managing multiple businesses, constantly posting thirst traps on social media, studying law, and looking fabulous, Kim Kardashian still somehow finds time to spend with each of her four young children. She and the eldest, North, have bonded over things like makeup and filming videos for TikTok. Her and Kanye West’s second-born, Saint West, is more of a sports fan but Kardashian hasn’t let their differing interests get in the way of forming a strong bond. The socialite often supports her son at his basketball and soccer games, and they even travelled around the world together to meet some of his favourite athletes back in the summer.

Now that school is back in session, the 7-year-old has been spending his time learning, improving his sports skills, and continuing to give his mother grey hair. In the past, we’ve seen the West children sometimes catch an attitude with the paparazzi who have been present around them for their whole lives – understandably so. As Kim Kardashian does her best to censor young Saint West and his middle finger from the paparazzi’s view, she’s encouraging her SKIMS shoppers to consider freeing their nipples. On Friday, October 27, Kanye West‘s daughter North took to her official joint TikTok page (shared with her mother, Kim Kardashian) to reveal her Halloween costume to the world. In a series of videos, she be seen cheerfully dancing in a replica of her father’s famous Dropout Bear (more commonly referred to by fans as the Graduation era bear), to the strains her father’s 2007 songs “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” featuring Jeezy and “I Wonder” off his album Graduation, as well as Estelle’s 2008 song “American Boy,” in which West is featured.

From the leatherman jacket, blinged-out Jesus piece, and a luxury gold watch, North nailed the nostalgic look.

Kanye West’s love for fashion pre-dates his Adidas or Gap collaborations. However, once he found success following his breakthrough single, “Through The Wire,” he ushered several trends into hip-hop, including preppy chic. The Dropout bear is a symbol from that era.

During an interview with Fake Shore Drive in 2021, the symbol’s creator, Sam Hansen, spoke about the mascot’s inspiration. “I’m a Polo head, and I knew Kanye was also, so I was like, yo, we could flip this bear on some Polo sh*t but make it a little more sporty,” said Hansen. “And so I have this sketch. I remember just kind of, like, on a piece of paper, putting sad eyes and sketching out and making it look more collegiate and putting a thick stroke around it, and that’s what we did. … We took the head off the picture of the cover and turned that [into the logo].”

Prior to their campaign, SKIMS had never made men’s clothes before. However, their efforts here were very much appreciated by men. The clothes looked good, and as TMZ reports, this translated into a plethora of sales.

Kim Kardashian Wins Big

In just five minutes, 25,000 orders were placed. This reportedly led to the most traffic they’ve ever had. Subsequently, the company was able to make millions of dollars in just a short window. Needless to say, giving the brand a men’s line was way overdue. Men were clamoring for the SKIMS blueprint, and Kim has now delivered. From here on out, it will be interesting to see how the brand is able to capitalize on this new audience.

Portnoy spoke on the reality star after she re-shared an Instagram story that used Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version”. “I’ve never seen anybody try to suck up like she is to Taylor Swift. You’re dead to us. Stop playing around, stop playing her music, stop having your kids listen to the music, or if you want them to listen, don’t put it [on] your Story. We all remember what you did with Kanye when you edited the footage and tried to make Taylor seem like a crazy liar. Taylor when into hiding for basically a year because of these scumbags, so stop. We don’t want any part of you,” Portnoy said on his BFFs podcast.

Kardashian and Swift have had a contentious relationship for many years. When Kardashian was with Kanye, she went hard on defending her husband over a number of incidents involving Swift. This included the infamous VMAs speech interruption and Kanye implying Swift should sleep with him because “I made that b-tch famous”. Swift denied his claim that she had approved the lyric. Kardashian then leaked a phone call that she claimed proved that Swift had given the lyric her blessing.

Portnoy Says Kardashian Should Go To Jail

However, as mentioned, this is not the first time that Portnoy has gone after Kardashian. During the Eras Tour, there were rumors that Kardashian planned to attend a show with her children. That wasn’t something Portnoy was willing to let happen. “If I were Taylor, I would have security waiting at the entrance and I would throw handcuffs on her and drag her to jail,” he told the outlet. “It would surprise me if she didn’t [attend]. That would be a very Kim move,” Portnoy said earlier this year.

“A lot of people don’t actually know the story but they edited her phone call and called her a liar. The phone call came out a few years later and it backed up everything that Taylor Swift said, so that was kind of what started me on the Swiftie path. When everyone was crucifying her I was like, ‘This is not right,’ so now I’ve just grown to be a huge fan,” the controversial media mogul continued.
