Jayson Tatum Clowned After Trying To Copy Kanye West, Kobe Bryant, And Kevin Garnett

Last night, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks to secure their 18th NBA title. Overall, it was a joyous occasion for the city of Boston, especially as the team won at home. Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown was crowned Finals MVP after some phenomenal performances. Tatum and Brown are one of the NBA’s best duos, and on Monday, they showed the world what they are capable of. In fact, this could very well be the making of a dynasty.

Unfortunately, in the midst of his great moment, Jayson Tatum was being clowned by fans online. As we reported, he was first made fun of for his attempt at recreating the Kobe Bryant Larry O’Brien photo. However, he is now catching more heat as he copied two other legends. Below, you can see that he tried to recreate the infamous Kevin Garnett “anything is possible” interview from the 2008 Celtics run. Furthermore, he then copied Kanye West’s Grammy speech in which he said: “I guess we’ll never know.”

Jayson Tatum Just Wants To Have A Good Time

Responding to the Kanye clip, one person wrote “Bro got script ready with quotes from all time greats.” Meanwhile, other fans continued to clown on Tatum for seemingly having all of his catchphrases prepared. “Bro this dude thinks he’s on a Disney show,” one commenter said. “I really got nothing against Tatum but everything he does feels forced and corny,” wrote another. For Tatum, none of these comments matter. He is now an NBA champion and no one can ever take that away from him.

Kevin Garnett Blasts Jordan Poole, Says He “Does Not Belong In The League”

Kevin Garnett has become the latest person to put Jordan Poole on blast. Speaking on his show on Showtime, Garnett spent several minutes roasting Poole, eventually saying “he does not belong in the league”. Garnett questioned Poole’s professionalism, as well as his myriad antics that have already occurred during the early weeks of the NBA season.

Poole is seemingly embracing his villain role within the hapless Wizards roster. The season is less than 20 games old and already Poole has several viral moments under this belt. There was a flashy off-the-backboard alley-oop despite the Wizards being down 20. In one game, Poole blatantly ignored his coach drawing up a play during a timeout and then seemed upset that he had no idea what was going on. Finally, and most recently, Poole “walked the ball” up the court, burning valuable seconds during a comeback bid against the Bucks. Why is this notable? Because Poole didn’t appear to realize that walking the ball only freezes the shot clock, not the game clock.

Andre Iguodala Defends Poole

However, one person who seemingly has Poole’s back is Andre Iguodala. In a September podcast appearance with JJ Redick, Iguodala reflected on the less-than-ideal role that Poole had to play for the Warriors. In short, Iguodala summarized that the Warriors were built around Steph, Klay, and Draymond. Poole, who would often play off the bench, was expected to play without the freedom or the eccentricities afforded to the team’s Big Three. If Draymond was having a wild night with errant passes and the like, Poole had to be perfect. If Steph was cold from three, Poole had to be hot. In Iguodala’s eyes, Poole had to play clean-up to whatever the Big Three wasn’t doing on any particular night.

Drafted in 2019 by the Warriors, Poole had four solid seasons with the team. In his final season before being traded to the Wizards, Poole had over 20 points per game. On any other team, Poole would likely have been an instant starter and first-rotation lock. However, it’s always going to be hard to get that consistent playing time with a roster like Golden State’s. Even in his 20.7 ppg season, Poole only started 43 games.

Paul Pierce Hilariously Crashes Kevin Garnett’s Finals Livestream

Kevin Garnett hosted a livestream for Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night. It was a blowout win for the Denver Nuggets, who got a series lead off the 109-94 rout. However, both the result and anything that Durant may have said in the live stream were completely forgotten thanks to Durant’s special guest on the live stream.

Garnett’s Boston Celtics teammate Paul Pierce was Garnett’s guest for the stream. The two played together for six seasons after Garnett joined the Celtics in 2007. Pierce was drafted by the Celtics in 1998. The pair won a championship together in 2008. It was Pierce’s presence that caused the live stream to go viral.

Paul Pierce’s Wild Live Stream Antics

Two moments stand out to explain Pierce’s impact on the live stream. First, there was the moment when Pierce pulled out a large cigar and asked for a lighter. Someone throws a lighter at Pierce, which hits him in the chest. This immediately riled up Pierce, who began to yell at the person who threw him the lighter. “Hey my boy, don’t make me smack you.” Garnett turns to Pierce, asking him to calm down as Pierce continues to stare daggers off-camera.

In another moment, it turns out that Pierce doesn’t even realize that he’s on a live stream. After arguing about whether Pierce can be “poppin’”. Garnett tries to shut it down, “We’re not poppin’, we’re workin’.” Pierce’s response is priceless, “Show me the live stream!” he yells, “show me the likes and comments!” he continues, swiping at an imaginary phone. Eventually, a production assistant brings over a phone so that Pierce can read the comments. “It should be live, show me now!” Pierce yells. After staring in confusion at the phone for a few seconds, Pierce looks around asking, “Oh? This is it?” Pierce is solely the reason the live stream is as memorable as it is. What did you think of the chaos? Let us know in the comments below. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

Kevin Garnett Rap Battle Suggestion For NBA

Kevin Garnett has seen and done it all in the NBA. The former NBA champion is now wondering if the NBA continue to grow its audience. The former Minnesota Timberwolves star has an excellent idea for the NBA. Garnett believes it is the perfect time for the NBA to introduce a rap battle. Many of today’s stars even have recorded albums. Including Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. However, Garnett’s proposal doesn’t just involve bragging rights. But a cool cash prize as well.

On a recent episode of KG Certified, Garnett went into detail on his latest idea. “I think it’s over 20 rap labels in our league owned by players that you wouldn’t even know… I’m telling Adam Silver, on the Friday night right after the Rookie game, million-dollar purse. You gon’ take 10 rappers they gon’ sign up themselves [and] you gon’ do four rounds and then two at the end and then one win the million.” The proposed cash prize would definitely bring participants to the battle.

Kevin Garnett Wants Rap Battle For All-Star Weekend

Garnett’s idea is a fresh concept that could bolster viewership for the All-Star Weekend. The weekend is filled with plenty on the court events. Including the celebrity game, three-point shootout, skills challenge, and dunk contest. Adding an element that brings a culture to the weekend would be exciting for fans of both rap and basketball. Also, seeing the potential of an NBA star missing the mark during his set would be can’t miss television. The idea would also give fans another reason to make the trip to All-Star Weekend.

Garnett’s latest idea is a great thought in improving the relationship between musicians and athletes. Often times, musicians are the ones sitting in the front row. While athletes dream of being famous musicians. Maybe the league could even bring in stars of the rap game to be celebrity voters on the rap challenge. What are your thoughts on Kevin Garnett’s potential rap battle challenge? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Kevin Garnett Gives Lakers Star His Flowers

Kevin Garnett is liking what he has been seeing from Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis. Davis is starting to find his groove just as the season is winding down. However, the Lakers have post-season aspirations on their mind. Having a healthy and hungry Davis will put the league on notice. But Garnett is already taking notice. Garnett stated that he loves what he is seeing from the big man. Also, Garnett claimed that if Davis played this well all season, he would be in the MVP discussion.

The Lakers are 4-1 in their last five. With their last game being a loss to the Clippers. However, the Lakers are still turning heads. Many among the media believe the Lakers are a legit threat to the NBA title. Former Detroit Pistons star Isiah Thomas is just one of the people believing in the Lakers. Certainly, it is hard to count out the Lakers. Because the team is home to one of the greatest of all time in LeBron James. However, LeBron isn’t the x-factor for this team.

Kevin Garnett Loving What He Sees From Anthony Davis

Garnett is just one of the many people who know what Davis can do. The former number-one overall pick can be a dominant force. Undoubtedly, Davis played a huge role in the Lakers winning the 2020 NBA Championship. However, since the end of that season, Davis has battled injury after injury. The talent is there in Los Angeles. But the timing could be too little too late for the surging team. However, if any team is going to make an improbable run. The Lakers would be a good bet.

Kevin Garnett knows good talent when he sees it. The former Timberwolves star isn’t afraid, to tell the truth like it is. The Lakers are more talented than a few teams already sitting comfortably in the playoffs. However, the Lakers are continuing to fight for their playoff lives. The Lakers will finish up their regular season this weekend with games against the Jazz and the Suns. A chance at the sixth seed is still up for grabs. Can the Lakers avoid the play-in tournament? Please give us your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest news regarding the NBA, keep it right here at HNHH.

Kevin Garnett’s Message To Ben Simmons

Kevin Garnett is one of the greatest power forwards to ever play the game. The Hall-of-Famer has always been known for his strong personality. A trait that has set him apart from many of his competitors. Sometimes even former teammates. So, when Garnett has an opinion on the game of basketball, you’ll hear the honest truth. No matter how painful it may be to hear. Garnett recently discussed his thoughts on the issues with Ben Simmons. Simmons’ career hasn’t gone the way many believed for the former number-one overall pick. The questions have been heating up since Simmons’ exit from Philadelphia. Just what is holding back his greatness?

Simmons’ one year in college at LSU was a sight to see. Watching a 6’10 point guard control every aspect of the game is not seen often. One could imagine why so many believed he was the guy in the 2016 draft. Now, it seems as if Simmons could be considered one of the biggest draft busts of his generation. The Australian guard never found his footing with his jump shot. An issue that has stuck with him since his college days. However, an issue that many believed could be fixed. So how can Simmons return to being an impactful player? Garnett’s not sure there’s even an answer.

Kevin Garnett Pleas With Ben Simmons To Find The Love

Garnett has one thought on Simmons’ struggles. That is that his heart isn’t in the game. That thought has been a talking point on Simmons for quite some time now. Simmons didn’t play at all last season and has only appeared in 42 games this year for the Nets. Many people with the sport don’t believe Simmons has the mental toughness to succeed in the league. It’s hard to rule that thought out of the equation, as Simmons has seemed to struggle with adversity.

The questions of mental toughness are plausible. So are questions about his physical limits. Simmons has only played over 60 games twice in his five years in the league. Next season will answer many questions that people have about Simmons. Kevin Garnett doesn’t seem to be rooting against the young man. However, guys like Garnett know that your heart must fully be in this game in order to be successful. Does Garnett have a point on his thoughts about Simmons? Will we ever see Ben Simmons at his full potential? Let us know in the comment section below what your thoughts are. For more on the NBA and the latest in sports, stay right here with HNHH.

Kevin Garnett Reveals How Kobe Inspired Him To Drop Ray Allen Beef

Kevin Garnett was one of the greatest players in the NBA during his era. Moreover, he was able to bring a championship to the Boston Celtics franchise back in 2008. Overall, it was a great achievement for that team which boasted the talents of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo. Unfortunately, Pierce and Garnett eventually had beef with the likes of Ray Allen. This is due to Allen joining those iconic Miami Heat teams during the early 2010s. For years, Garnett didn’t even want to look Allen in his eyes.

However, if you were watching Paul Pierce’s jersey retirement ceremony, you would know that they have patched things up. If you are a Boston Celtics fan, this is truly incredible to see. You never want legendary players to be beefing with one another, especially when they meant so much to their respective teams. Not to mention, you never know what can happen to people from one day to the next. Leaving things on bad terms with people can leave you feeling empty and broken when it is all said and done.

Kevin Garnett Makes A Statement

While speaking on the Allen situation, Garnett explained why he decided to patch things up. Overall, it mostly had to do with Kobe Bryant and his unexpected passing. In the eyes of KG, life can be very fragile, and he didn’t want to leave his relationship with Allen on bad terms. “The passing of Kobe and all of us getting older helped me understand that life is not given to none of us,” Garnett said. “It would have f*cked with me if something were to happen to Ray and I didn’t get a chance to amend this.”

The Garnett-Allen beef was always one-sided, to begin with. Allen never spoke ill of KG, however, Garnett was always making interesting comments about his former teammate. Regardless, the two have mended fences, which is truly great to see. Hopefully, we get to see more reunions between these two, in the future. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from the sports world.
