Kendrick Perkins Takes Shot At Charles Barkley

Kendrick Perkins has never been a stranger to making a headline. Perkins is well known for his outspoken personality. However, on today’s edition of ESPN’s First Take, Perkins went after another outspoken media member. Perkins called out Charles Barkley for his recent comments on the legacy of Kevin Durant. Durant has recently mentioned that his legacy doesn’t matter to him. However, Durant has had issues with Barkley in the past for statements he has made.

When talking about Durant’s legacy, Perkins mentioned “ringless” former players disrespecting champions. Perkins went on to further name-drop the former players he was speaking on. Barkley has long discussed his disdain for players building super teams. Obviously, when talking on that subject, Barkley mentions Durant. The Phoenix star has been the topic of super teams, with his tenure in Golden State and Brooklyn. Just how far did Perkins go when discussing Durant’s legacy? Check out the video below.

Kendrick Perkins Has Had Enough Of Barkley’s Disrespect

Durant has mentioned in recent interviews how whatever decisions he makes never pleases the fans. However, joining super teams is never a good way to state your case. But Kendrick Perkins is on Durant’s side. The former Boston Celtic believes those without rings don’t feel the pressure of a champion. The conversation wasn’t pointed solely at Barkley. However, Perkins was sure to give him some shine during the conversation. A conversation between these two would make for must-see television.

Conversations about a player’s legacy are important to fans and the media. Contrarily they shouldn’t be happening until the said player has retired. Durant’s legacy is not finished. It seems difficult for someone to speak on a legacy while a career is still in progress. One thing is for sure, Barkley will have no issue with answering Perkins’ statement. What are your thoughts on Perkins; statement? Should ringless players sit out of the conversations? Or do any Hall-of-Famers have the right to speak on the game? Let us know in the comment section below what your thoughts are. To stay up to date with the latest sports news, stay locked in with HNHH.

Kevin Durant Reflects On Time With Warriors

Kevin Durant made shockwaves when joining the Warriors back in 2016. Durant’s addition to the team clearly made them above and beyond everyone. Indeed the Warriors did become an issue for the league. The franchise won back-to-back titles. Unfortunately, a three-peat wasn’t in the cards as Durant and Klay Thompson’s injuries stopped the dynasty. Durant left Golden State after three years. Signing a deal with the Brooklyn Nets while rehabbing his Achilles injury.

Durant’s time with Golden State was short. However, his presence made for one of the more memorable runs for a franchise in NBA history. Although the team wasn’t desperate to add another superstar. The season before Durant joined the Warriors, the team broke the record for most wins in a single season with 73. Also, that same season, the Warriors eliminated Durant’s Thunder from the playoffs. Fans were quick to judge the decision Durant made to join the Warriors.

Kevin Durant Doesn’t Care What People Think

In a recent interview with The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Durant spoke about his decision to join Golden State. “When it comes to me, people are not going to think in a logical way or simply look at what I’ve done and say that’s it. They gotta add a narrative to it, they gotta push something to discredit me. Once I left to go to the Warriors, it’s been the gymnastics on how to discredit me every step of the way. It’s like, damn, that’s not even fun no more, like, engaging with people because y’all aren’t even being truthful. You move the goalpost every time, you expect the most out of me and if I don’t reach it I’m a failure. It’s like, what’s the problem,” Durant stated to Charania.

The decision was made, and Durant created history with Golden State. Undoubtedly the most dominant team in recent NBA history. If Durant would have decided to stay, there’s no telling how many titles the franchise would have by now. Especially since the team has won one even without Durant. How did you feel when Durant joined Golden State? Did you feel that the move was bad for the league? Tell us how you felt at the time in the comment section below. Kevin Durant’s Hilarious Reaction To CP3 Statement

Kevin Durant made his long-awaited return to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. After a freak accident caused Durant to miss time, the Suns are finally at full strength. It wasn’t the return that Durant or Suns fans had hoped for. However, don’t expect too many poor performances from the future Hall-of-Famer. Durant’s teammates don’t seem too worried about the performance. Chris Paul, Durant’s new point guard, had a little fun with his new teammate.

Paul spoke with the media on Durant’s offensive struggles on Wednesday night. During his comments, Paul took a fun shot at Durant. CP3 jokingly stated, “Most times, he’s just going to miss. Not too many people that’s ever going to make him miss. I’m probably one of the only people that used to do that.” After the comments, Paul grabs Durant’s attention to let him know what he said. All Durant could do was laugh off the situation.

Kevin Durant Has Fun With Poor Shooting Night

Team chemistry off the court isn’t an issue with the Suns. Paul and Durant have been around long enough to know these nights happen. Obviously, both players have more good nights than bad. Once Durant finds his rhythm again, the Suns will be a tough playoff elimination. Phoenix is getting healthy at the right time. With the playoffs just around the corner, health is the most vital positive for the team. Paul definitely has welcomed Durant to Phoenix with open arms.

It’s okay to laugh at yourself after a tough moment. Last game only proves that Durant is human. Not the Durantula character that many see him as on a nightly basis. The NBA season is a long one. Being serious night in and night out isn’t an attainable goal. The Suns have just five games remaining in the regular season before the NBA Finals quest begins. Do you think the Suns are a credible threat to winning the title? If not the Suns, who will be NBA Champion? Give us your predictions of the NBA Finals in the comment section below. Kevin Durant Wishes Former Team Well

Kevin Durant is still trying to find his footing in Phoenix. As the NBA All-Star is on the fourth team of his career. However, Durant still has good feelings for the Brooklyn Nets. The team that sent him to the Suns. But things didn’t go well at all during Durant’s time in Brooklyn. The Nets had one of the greatest teams ever assembled and ended up with nothing. With injuries and experiments with James Harden and Kyrie Irving failing. There was nowhere for the Nets to go. Trading Durant and starting over seemed like the sensible move.

Durant claims to hold no ill will with his former team. In a recent interview with The Athletic, Durant had plenty to say about his former team. “I hated it had to go down like that. I wasn’t trying to prove the Nets is a s–ty organization,” Durant stated. “Certain sh– just didn’t work out. I understand that. I’m not here trying to prove that the Nets was wrong, I think they did amazing by me the whole time I was there, not just with the trade.”

Kevin Durant Chooses To Be Kind Toward Nets

Durant’s assessment of his time in Brooklyn is spot on. Every decision made felt like it was snake bit from the start. KD even dealt with the most serious injury of his career from the start. The star forward injured his Achilles the year before joining the Nets. Undeniably, the Durant experience in Brooklyn will be forgotten by most. As for those who were a part of it, the experience will be more of what could have been. Durant now seems thrilled to be in Phoenix. The team will be chasing their first NBA Championship this post-season.

Kevin Durant has no hate in his heart for the experience he endured. So the Brooklyn Nets have moved on, and so has Durant. Some experiments fail, and that was the case in Brooklyn. However, if all the variables could have worked, the team was championship material. What are your thoughts on Durant’s time in Brooklyn? Is it the biggest missed opportunity in NBA history? Should Durant have known it was doomed to fail? Please let us know in the comment section below. For all the latest NBA news, continue to check out HNHH.

Kevin Durant Does Not Care About His Legacy

Kevin Durant is very much someone who fights back against NBA media narratives. Overall, he doesn’t have much time for all of the talk about who is better than who. He really couldn’t care less whether or not he makes it inside of your Top 5. Additionally, if you don’t put him on your Mount Rushmore, he probably wouldn’t think twice about it. Simply put, KD plays for the love of the game. He wants to have fun while playing basketball and no one will stop him from doing that.

Recently, KD returned to the floor for the Phoenix Suns. He had been out for a few weeks with an ankle injury and wanted to show he’s still got it. Although he did struggle, there is no doubt that Suns fans were excited to see him. Alongside his return to the court was a recent report from Shams Charania of The Athletic. Within this interview, Durant spoke about all of the legacy talk that surrounds him. As you will see, Durant has some strong words about those who want to debate his many contributions to the sport.

Kevin Durant Talks Boldly

“I don’t care about legacy,” Kevin Durant said. “I truly, truly don’t care. I truly just want to go out there and produce. Be the best that I can be, go home, hang with my family. That’s it.” Some fans may hate this mentality, although, you cannot help but respect it. Some athletes are extremely wrapped up in what they need to achieve. However, these guys are all human beings with real lives away from the court. At some point, you have to seek happiness from something other than your day job.

Ironically enough, KD may very well affirm his legacy very soon. The Phoenix Suns are primed and ready for a deep playoff run, and there is this sense that they could go win it all. With Devin Booker and Chris Paul next to Kevin Durant, it is easy to see why people would think this. Let us know what you think the Suns’ chances are, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Devin Booker Gets Real About Kevin Durant Trade

The Phoenix Suns made the biggest trade in NBA history when the team landed Kevin Durant. Durant is arguably one of the best to ever lace up his shoes. Adding him to a team that is already a title contender has expectations high in Phoenix. It hasn’t been all roses since Durant arrived in the desert. The NBA All-Star is currently dealing with an injury that has sidelined him. Although Durant is set to return tonight, Devin Booker will gladly welcome him back. Booker recently talked about the big trade that brought Durant to Phoenix.

Sam Amick of The Athletic got the scoop on Booker’s thoughts on the Durant trade. In the interview, Booker mentioned how badly he wanted the trade to happen. Booker also mentioned how difficult it would be to lose guys who were already on the team. “We obviously got back one of the best players ever to play, but we lost a few young studs (to the Nets) too in Cam and Mikal (Bridges).” Losing two teammates that Booker had a lot of confidence in really was tough for the start to digest. However, Booker mentioned that this is a business, and as we all know, the main goal is a championship.

Phoenix’s Championship Opportunity

There’s no question that this Phoenix Suns roster has the potential to make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs. Two surefire Hall-of-Famers alongside Booker and Ayton. This isn’t a team that you would want to attempt to beat four times. Except, they could have a potential weakness. That being chemistry. With Durant not playing many games with his new team, chemistry could be a huge factor in any playoff success. Booker claims that chemistry won’t be an issue for the two. Booker credits Durant’s talents as a big reason that chemistry won’t be an issue for the team.

Devin Booker and Kevin Durant would be an NBA Jam dream. The potentially deadly duo is currently fourth in the Western Conference. With just a handful of games left, Durant’s return couldn’t be at a better time. Can the Suns run it all the way to the NBA Finals? Will chemistry be more of an issue than Booker is letting on? Only time will tell for this team. Feel free to let us know your thoughts on a Suns playoff run in the comments below. Stay tuned with HNHH for all your latest sports coverage.

SOURCE SPORTS: Kevin Durant Claps Back at Criticism from Charles Barkley: ‘This Ain’t Gettin Tiring?’

Kevin Durant Returns with Season 3 of 'The ETCs'

Kevin Durant is over hearing Charles Barkley’s criticism. The Phoenix Suns forward saw a video online where Barkley called him sensitive and responded on Twitter.

“This ain’t gettin tiring chuck?” Durant wrote. “I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it.”

In a conversation with a fan, KD wrote: “I’m not gonna lie, I be bothered by nba greats that are jealous of the generations that come after them. That’s just me tho.”

Another fan agreed with Durant, citing he only gets criticized about his personality and not basketball. KD’s reply, “This where I’m at with it….”

Durant is nearing his return to the Phoenix Suns lineup. A report over the weekend placed KD back on the run with Chris Paul and Devin Booker this Wednesday, when the Suns take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The post SOURCE SPORTS: Kevin Durant Claps Back at Criticism from Charles Barkley: ‘This Ain’t Gettin Tiring?’ appeared first on The Source.

Kevin Durant Has Had It With Charles Barkley

Kevin Durant is someone who has caught a lot of flack from the old heads over the years. Overall, there is a contingent of people who believe that Durant is soft. Moreover, some people have even called him terms like “miserable.” Mostly, this criticism has come from Charles Barkley. Over the years, Barkley has called Durant a “bus rider” as opposed to a “bus driver.” Additionally, it has almost become clear that he does not like KD. In some cases, it has even felt personal, with Durant calling Chuck out on social media.

With each passing day, these two grow to dislike each other even more. For instance, in a recent interview, Barkley said: “He’s very sensitive. Great player. He’s part of that generation who think he can’t be criticized. He’s never looked in the mirror and says ‘Man, is that a fair criticism?’” Although this isn’t the first time someone has said this about KD, it does seem odd that Barkley keeps harping on this. In fact, Durant saw the comments and immediately decided that he had had enough.

Kevin Durant Speaks

On Twitter, Durant wrote, “This ain’t gettin tiring chuck? I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it.” Furthermore, a fan noted that KD only dislikes it when people keep it personal. When it comes to basketball, KD takes his criticism with grace. Durant noticed this comment took the quote tweets, adding “This is where I’m at wit it…” Needless to say, Durant doesn’t mind being criticized for his play. However, the criticism better be from a pure basketball standpoint. Otherwise, he does not want to hear it.

Barkley has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way over the years. He is someone who does not hold back, and that is especially true when it comes to Durant. Although, the players are starting to clap back, and it has forced Chuck’s hand. Even a sitdown between these two probably wouldn’t square away their beef. That said, we’re not sure the fans would even want that. In the eyes of many, this feud just makes the league that much more entertaining.

Kevin Durant Predicts Where Bronny James Jr. Will Go To College

Kevin Durant is one of the best basketball players in the entire world. Having said that, there is no doubt that he can be seen as an authority figure in the game. Overall, he is someone who has a ton of great insights into the game. Although some fans may dislike him, there is no doubt that he deserves his respect. When something compels KD, he talks about it. Moreover, he has plenty of platforms to do so, including his podcast called The ETCs.

During the most recent episode of the podcast, KD got to talk about Bronny James Jr. The oldest son of his rival, LeBron, is currently done high school and is looking to make a decision on his future. He could either go to college, or he could go to the G-League. Furthermore, there are other options available to Bronny, such as playing professional ball overseas. KD, however, would much rather see Bronny go the college route.

Kevin Durant Delivers Praise

In the clip up above, Durant noted that he thinks it would be much more fun to see Bronny in the NCAA. This way, he wouldn’t get lost for an entire year. His progress could be viewed in real-time. Additionally, Durant is convinced that Bronny is probably going to go to USC as it is the closest school to Los Angeles. As for Bronny’s talents, Kevin Durant is most certainly impressed. “I’ve seen Bronny laying the ball up a couple years ago, now I see him taking off everywhere,” KD said. “His body developed. I feel like we’ve been watching him since he was two, three years old, you know what I’m saying? So to see where he is now, I’m rooting for him. Hopefully, he gets to play with Bron at some point.”

As it stands, there is no timetable for Bronny’s decision. He is taking his time, and we’re sure LeBron is helping him make the right choice. Overall, his decision will be heavily publicized and there will be lots of fanfare around it. After all, Bronny could be a lottery pick next year. Kevin Durant Injury Gets An Update

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the entire NBA. Overall, he is one of those guys that can make his teams immediately better. Unfortunately, he has dealt with quite a few injury issues over the course of his career. This week, the injury issues persisted as he was warming up in Phoenix. It was a big game for him as this was his first in Arizona. However, he never got to actually play as he slipped while going for a layup. He twisted his ankle on the play, and he was subsequently sidelined from the match.

In the end, it wasn’t too bad for the Phoenix Suns as they were able to win the game by a score of 132-101 against the OKC Thunder. Regardless, this is one of those injuries that could destroy the Suns’ title hopes. Many have theorized that KD could be out for the rest of the season, including the start of the playoffs. Consequently, the Suns have been ripped of their “title favorites” designation. Luckily, the injury doesn’t seem to be as bad as reported.

Kevin Durant Prognosis

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Durant will be re-evaluated in about two weeks’ time. He has a left ankle sprain, and the swelling has already gone down. Overall, these are all good signs that should excite Suns fans. However, Durant could still wind up missing more time. His ability to get back on the court will hinge on his rehab and whether or not it goes well. Durant is someone who has been injured quite a bit over the years, so this could prove to be a difficult task.

At this point, the Suns feel as though they cannot catch a break. That said, they are comfortably in a playoff spot and based on this news, it seems like KD should be back in time for a postseason run. With Durant in the lineup, they are 3-0 which is certainly reason to be excited. Hopefully, he can recover quickly and get back out there. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.
