The Phoenix Suns made the biggest trade in NBA history when the team landed Kevin Durant. Durant is arguably one of the best to ever lace up his shoes. Adding him to a team that is already a title contender has expectations high in Phoenix. It hasn’t been all roses since Durant arrived in the desert. Sam Amick of The Athletic got the scoop on Booker’s thoughts on the Durant trade. In the interview, Booker mentioned how badly he wanted the trade to happen. Booker also mentioned how difficult it would be to lose guys who were already on the team. “We obviously got back one of the best players ever to play, but we lost a few young studs (to the Nets) too in Cam and Mikal (Bridges).” Losing two teammates that Booker had a lot of confidence in really was tough for the start to digest. However, Booker mentioned that this is a business, and as we all know, the main goal is a championship.

There’s no question that this Phoenix Suns roster has the potential to make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs. Two surefire Hall-of-Famers alongside Booker and Ayton. This isn’t a team that you would want to attempt to beat four times. Except, they could have a potential weakness. That being chemistry. With Durant not playing many games with his new team, chemistry could be a huge factor in any playoff success. Booker claims that chemistry won’t be an issue for the two. Booker credits Durant’s talents as a big reason that chemistry won’t be an issue for the team.

Kevin Durant is over hearing Charles Barkley’s criticism. The Phoenix Suns forward saw a video online where Barkley called him sensitive and responded on Twitter.

“This ain’t gettin tiring chuck?” Durant wrote. “I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it.”

In a conversation with a fan, KD wrote: “I’m not gonna lie, I be bothered by nba greats that are jealous of the generations that come after them. That’s just me tho.”

Another fan agreed with Durant, citing he only gets criticized about his personality and not basketball. KD’s reply, “This where I’m at with it….”

Durant is nearing his return to the Phoenix Suns lineup. A report over the weekend placed KD back on the run with Chris Paul and Devin Booker this Wednesday, when the Suns take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kevin Durant is someone who has caught a lot of flack from the old heads over the years. Overall, there is a contingent of people who believe that Durant is soft. Moreover, some people have even called him terms like “miserable.” Mostly, this criticism has come from Charles Barkley. Over the years, Barkley has called Durant a “bus rider” as opposed to a “bus driver.” Additionally, it has almost become clear that he does not like KD. In some cases, it has even felt personal, with Durant calling Chuck out on social media.

With each passing day, these two grow to dislike each other even more. For instance, in a recent interview, Barkley said: “He’s very sensitive. Great player. He’s part of that generation who think he can’t be criticized. He’s never looked in the mirror and says ‘Man, is that a fair criticism?’” Although this isn’t the first time someone has said this about KD, it does seem odd that Barkley keeps harping on this. In fact, Durant saw the comments and immediately decided that he had had enough.

During the most recent episode of the podcast, KD got to talk about Bronny James Jr. The oldest son of his rival, LeBron, is currently done high school and is looking to make a decision on his future. He could either go to college, or he could go to the G-League. Furthermore, there are other options available to Bronny, such as playing professional ball overseas. KD, however, would much rather see Bronny go the college route.

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the entire NBA. Overall, he is one of those guys that can make his teams immediately better. Unfortunately, he has dealt with quite a few injury issues over the course of his career. This week, the injury issues persisted as he was warming up in Phoenix. It was a big game for him as this was his first in Arizona. However, he never got to actually play as he slipped while going for a layup. He twisted his ankle on the play, and he was subsequently sidelined from the match.

In the end, it wasn’t too bad for the Phoenix Suns as they were able to win the game by a score of 132-101 against the OKC Thunder. Regardless, this is one of those injuries that could destroy the Suns’ title hopes. Many have theorized that KD could be out for the rest of the season, including the start of the playoffs. Kevin Durant has had an incredible start to his time with the Phoenix Suns. Overall, Durant and the Suns are 3-0 when KD plays and they definitely look like the best team in the league. However, the Suns are a franchise that is extremely cursed. Whenever it seems like they are about to win a title, something happens that completely derails them. In 1993, they had to face MJ. Last night, the Suns were looking to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. This was supposed to be Durant’s very first game with the Suns at home. Consequently, the atmosphere was sensational as fans just wanted a glimpse at KD. Unfortunately, their hopes turned into a nightmare very quickly. This is because Durant tweaked his ankle in warmup after slipping on the court. In the video below, you can see how KD’s ankle bends at a 90-degree angle. It looks truly awful, and although Durant continued his warmup, he ended up skipping the game.

The Valley of the Sun is shining bright. On Wednesday (March. 1) night, Kevin Durant made his debut with the Phoenix Suns as they took on the Charlotte Hornets. It was Durant’s first game back from injury and also the first after his blockbuster trade deadline deal that brought him over from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Suns won the game 105-91, with Durant dropping 23 points in 27 minutes. According to ESPN, Durant was out with a right MCL sprain.

“I feel like I fit in pretty well. Everybody out there was trying to make me as comfortable as possible,” Durant said in postgame. “I just got to keep grinding, man, and this jersey on me will look normal as games go on.”

Durant’s new running mate Devin Booker put up 37 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, showing the terror the two can cause defenses as the league nears the playoffs.

Chris Paul only had two points, but he added 11 assists showing he was the maestro of the offense. center DeAndre Ayton added 16 points and 16 rebounds.

The Suns’ Show will pull into Chicago Friday for a shootout with the Chicago Bulls led by Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls are 3-1 after bringing in hometown player Patrick Beverley.

Phoenix basketball as a whole is in very good hands. This is because it was announced last week that Brittney Griner would be returning to the Phoenix Mercury this season.
