Charlamagne Tha God says that Katt Williams was wrong for accusing Kevin Hart of being an industry plant during his explosive interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast. Speaking about the comments with Andrew Schulz on their The Brilliant Idiots show, Charlamagne explained why he felt the legendary comedian was being unfair to Hart.

“I saw Katt say something too about Kevin Hart… Kevin Hart’s come-up wasn’t organic. I totally disagree with that,” he said. “I totally disagree with that, and the reason I totally disagree with that is because we watched Kev not succeed in Hollywood. We watched his NBC sitcom, I think it was NBC, we watched his sitcom not succeed in Hollywood. We watched Soul Plane not do well.”

Williams described Hart as a “plant” during a fiery rant about the comedina. “No one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams said. “He already had his deals when he got here. Have we heard of a comedian that came to L.A., and in his first year in L.A., he had his own sitcom on network television and had his own movie called ‘Soul Plane’ that he was leading? Kevin Hart described himself as a “comedic rock star” in a post on Instagram, Sunday, amid his ongoing feud with Katt Williams. While the two have been at odds for years, Williams recently called his rival comedian out during an interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast. His appearance has been causing all sorts of drama online.

“ComedicRockStarShit #LiveLoveLaugh,” Hart captioned his post on Sunday. He shared two black-and-white pictures of himself performing on stage. Druski labeled him the “goat” in the comments section, while fans shared plenty of positive messages.

Katt Williams Clarifies Rumor About Helping Migos Amid Finacial Struggles

Katt Williams says he can’t remember the Migos ever being “financially unsuccessful” and, in turn, shot down a rumor about helping them out amid money troubles. He discussed the story during a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast that is producing headline after headline.

“I don’t think we ever as a nation can remember a time that the Migos were financially unsuccessful so for the record, I would assume that they’ve never needed Katt Williams’ financial assistance for anything. I’m sure that between QC the label and other things they were taken of. On the other hand, if I was given the opportunity to help them, would I? Of course I would. That’s what I do. I’m a pro-Black, non-racist. I really, really love Black people but I don’t love them more than other people. I love everybody. I’m a Black guy and I try to stick with that.”

Williams added that he does tend to help people financially when the situation arises, while also discussing how he’s lent a hand to up-and-coming comedians over the years. “I’m not one of those pillow talkers,” he remarked. “When I do something good, I’m really not doing it for the ‘Gram. Karlissa Saffold Claims Katt Williams Wanted Her To Star In “Next Friday”

Karlissa Saffold has claimed that Katt Williams “shouted her out” in his Club Shay Shay interview and that he wanted her to play the role of D’Wana in Next Friday. Saffold said that she turned down the role because of the outfit they wanted her to wear. The role was eventually played by Tamala Jones. Saffold’s comments appear to stem from fans telling her that she should have played D’Wana

However, people are already calling cap on Saffold’s claims. “Man cap I didn’t hear him say blueface momma or the name Karlissa,” one person argued. “Katt never said that I watched the whole 3 hour interview twice ,” agreed another. “LIES…KATT NEVER SAID THAT YOU HAD A POSSIBLE ROLE IN FRIDAY ,” a third added. Williams did not appear to reference Saffold in his wide-ranging interview. While Williams may have privately told Saffold about Next Friday, he did not appear to say anything to that regard on camera.

Meanwhile, Williams has been following up on many of his own claims from his viral interview. Footage has emerged appearing to back up Katt Williams’ claim on Club Shay Shay suggesting that he can run a sub-4.50 40-yard dash. In the video, Williams is seen running the 40-yard dash in 4.47. That’s the same time that first-round pick Sauce Gardner ran in 2022. It appears that Williams wasn’t kidding about keeping himself in good shape.

However, fans used the video to further the beef between Williams and Kevin Hart. The actor and comedian took to social media in August 2023 to post a few videos of himself rolling around in a wheelchair. According to Hart’s video, he tore his torn lower abdomen and torn abductors while attempting to outpace former NFL star Stevan Ridley in a 40-yard dash. Ridley played eight seasons in the NFL between 2011 and 2018. Hart was reportedly sidelined for about six weeks thanks to the injury.

After originally dismissing Katt Williams’ comments about him, Kevin Hart used his NBA Unplugged show to further address his fellow comedian’s explosive Club Shay Shay appearance. “Do you entertain the circus or do you watch it?” Hart quipped to Kendrick Perkins. The ESPN personality had brought up Williams’ interview. Furthermore, Hart joked that Williams had “bought the New York Knicks” only to “return them with a receipt”. Additionally, Hart went after Williams’ comments about being a voracious reader as a child.

Hart’s first comments about Williams’ interview came in the form of a tweet. However, it also doubled as a promotion for his new movie. “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad. Katt Williams Beef With Cedric The Entertainer “Petty,” TK Kirkland Claims

In a resurfaced interview from 2021 with VladTV. TK Kirkland called Katt Williams’ beef with Cedric The Entertainer about joke-stealing “petty”. In Kirkland’s mind, joke-stealing was just part of life as a comedian. Unless the joke was “super classic” or your signature joke, it wasn’t worth beefing over. Instead, Kirkland argued that comedians should focus on building their catalogs and worrying about getting paid.

During his explosive Club Shay Shay interview, Williams had accused Cedric of stealing his closing joke back in the late 90s. “1998, I’m doing this joke…Cedric comes to The Comedy Store, he watches me in the audience, he comes backstage, he tells me what a great job I did and how much he loves the joke. Two years later, he’s doing that as his last joke on The [Original] Kings Of Comedy and he’s doing it verbatim, he just changed my car into a spaceship,” Williams said. However, he also noted that Cedric had apologized to him.

However, Kirkland’s comments are not the only resurfaced interview clips discussing Williams. In a reposted VladTV segment from 2019, Faizon Love recalled how Katt Williams once pulled a gun on him. Williams and Love were beefing over money Williams reportedly owed Love. However, Love revealed that things went to a dark place when he tried to collect. Rickey Smiley Cries On IG Live Amid Katt Williams’ “Club Shay Shay” Aftermath

One of the standout moments from Katt Williams’ viral Club Shay Shay appearance was when the comedian accused Rickey Smiley of lying about his role in Friday After Next. Smiley previously claimed that he was originally cast as Money Mike, a role that later went to Williams. According to Williams, however, the role was always his.

Williams claimed that Smiley went on to have a bad attitude throughout their time on set. He accused him of complaining that the role got taken from him, leading him to not want to work with the disgruntled comedian again. He even said that he had a contract made stating that he wouldn’t act alongside Smiley again unless he was wearing a dress. A few years after Friday After Next came out, Smiley appeared in the film First Sunday as Bernice Jenkins. As Williams points out, he wore a dress for the role.

Others, however, note that he lost his son around this time last year, making it a difficult time for Smiley.
