Young Thug’s Dad Goes Off On “Piece Of Sh*t” District Attorney After YSL RICO Trial Wraps Up

Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Sr., reaffirmed his disdain for Georgia’s District Attorney, Fani WIllis, after the YSL RICO trial finally concluded on Tuesday afternoon. Speaking with reporters outside of the courtroom where Yak Gotti was found not guilty, Williams Sr. discussed his prior criticism of Willis.

Williams Sr. began by saying that Thug is doing “great” after getting out of jail. “We’re still fighting out here,” he said. “It’s not over for us. I got another son and a grandson that was arrested about this case that I’m still fighting for.” When asked if he still resents the Georgia district attorney’s office, he explained, “I still feel the same way. It’s a piece of sh*t. We gotta get those people out of there. We want to continue to have justice, we gotta get them out of there.”

As for his previous criticism of the D.A.’s office, he said shortly after Thug’s release: “But the work that we need to do, foremost, for the city of Atlanta, Fulton County, we need to get rid of the poison that’s in our system — and that’s the District Attorney’s Office. So, vote [for] Courtney Kramer. I support Courtney Kramer to the fullest. I feel like she’s the best person for the job and it’s not because of what she said about us, it’s because she said that and she was in my company and never knew who I was.”

Young Thug Reflects On The YSL RICO Trial

Young Thug ended up taking a plea deal in the case back in October that resulted in another 15 years of probation. Other restrictions include being banned from the Metro Atlanta area for 10 years, not being able to make gang-related music, and more. Young Thug’s Dad Slams Atlanta Artists Who Didn’t Support His Son, Fans Point At TI

Young Thug’s father, Jeffery Williams Sr., has called out other Atlanta rappers who didn’t voice their support for his son during his recent stretch in jail. Speaking on the Nothing But the Truth Podcast, last week, Williams Sr. complained about one artist in particular who refused to perform at an event in support of YSL.

“We got all these rappers and everybody trying to find Young Thug,” Williams Sr. said, as caught by XXL. “They wanna talk to Young Thug, they wanna this, that and the other. Where your a*s been for 29 months? Why y’all a*s ain’t been out there protesting for his constitutional rights being violated? Y’all are the ones considered to be the influencers. Ain’t influencing sh*t.”

“Now, you want to talk to him,” he added. “You want to goddamn put out these monkey-a*s videos. All this, for your personal gain. It’s just for your personal gain. Your personal hype. Trying to make yourself relevant…Where have y’all been? Where have y’all Atlanta artists been up until now?” Williams’ next comments have been sparking theories that he may have been particularly upset with T.I., although he didn’t name anyone specifically. “I asked him to do an event on behalf of YSL. And I was told, ‘Let me get with my people and see if I can do that,’” he said. “But yet and still, I see you right there beside Young Thug. That’s when he needed the help. So, you know, we gotta stop with the fake.”

Jeffery Williams Sr. Speaks Out

Shortly after his release from jail, Thug linked up with T.I., who shared a video on social media of the two of them together. “I’m back,” Thug declared in the video. “I’m back, Jack. No cap in my rap. The right way!” Check out his father’s full comments on the situation below.

Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Sr., has repeatedly defended Gunna against allegations that he was a snitch related to the ongoing YSL Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) trial. Last December, Williams Sr. went so far as to tell Infamous Sylvia, “[Lil Baby] need to shut the f*ck up, ’cause he don’t know what’s going on.”

In case it were still in question, Williams Sr. really rides for Gunna, as evidenced by his front-row presence at Gunna’s The Bittersweet Tour finale at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday night, June 11.

A fan-taken video circulated by Complex on X (formerly Twitter) showed Williams Sr. dancing along to Gunna performing “Ski,” a Gunna and Young Thug song from 2021’s Slime Language 2. Complex also posted a photo (taken by Atlanta’s Royal Photography) of Gunna and Williams Sr. posing while doing the YSL nose-wipe.

In May 2022, Gunna and Young Thug were among 28 YSL members arrested and charged in a 56-count indictment. On December 14, 2022, Gunna was released from prison after he “entered a negotiated plea, known as an Alford plea, in which a defendant doesn’t admit he committed the crime but acknowledges that it is in his best interest to plead guilty,” as reported by WSB-TV at the time.

Afterward, Gunna was subject to criticism for “snitching” on Young Thug and other YSL defendants. Gunna denied the allegations with “I Was Just Thinking” last June.

Young Thug is currently facing nine charges and standing trial in Fulton County.

Lil Baby Posts And Deletes Response To Young Thug’s Father

Lil Baby has been very vocal as it pertains to the YSL Rico Case and Gunna’s involvement in all of it. Overall, everyone knows that Gunna was arrested alongside Young Thug back in May of 2022. However, Gunna was one of the defendants who was able to gain back their freedom. Moving forward, it doesn’t seem like Gunna will have any more legal issues pertaining to the case. That said, Thug remains behind bars, and his trial has been a bit of a mess. This has led to a lot of resentment towards Gunna, who some are claiming is a snitch.

Baby is one of the artists who believe Gunna snitched on Thugger. Despite there being evidence to the contrary, Lil Baby has been quick to denounce his friendship with his former collaborator. This has subsequently led to a response from Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Sr. In a recent interview, he told Baby that he needs to stop talking in regard to the situation as he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Williams has been a staunch defender of Gunna and claims there is no issue between him and Thugger.

Lil Baby Decides To Delete

In the Instagram post above, you can see that Baby actually responded to Young Thug’s dad. However, he decided to delete his comment almost immediately. Essentially, in response to being asked if he’s ever even shown up to a court date, Baby said “IYKYK.” This was the only thing that he had to say on the matter, although it proved too controversial for him to keep up. Whether or not he will speak on this again, remains to be seen.

Young Thug’s Dad Calls Out Lil Baby For Gunna Diss: “Shut The F*ck Up”

Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Sr., says that Lil Baby needs to stop speaking on Gunna and the YSL trial because he has no idea what he’s talking about. Williams Sr. discussed the case during a new interview with Infamous Sylvia on YouTube.

“He need to shut the f**k up cause he don’t know what’s going on,” he said. “Ya know he’s going off what he heard. Ask Lil Baby have he ever came to a court date. That’s what I want y’all to ask these godd*mn rappers and these bloggers with this whole snitch sh*t.”

Baby is among a host of other rappers who have dissed Gunna on social media since he took a plea deal in the case. Most recently, Baby appeared to throw shade at his former collaborator on the song, “350,” by rapping: “I know one day it’s gon’ hit me, bro ain’t never comin’ back / Ain’t never say nothin’ ’bout it, n***a, you know you a rat.”

Young Thug’s Dad On Lil Baby

Williams Sr.’s comments come after Judge Ural Glanville postponed the trial due to the stabbing of one of Thug’s other co-defendants. “Let me go ahead and tell you where we are,” Judge Glanville announced to the jury, earlier this month. “Remember yesterday we recessed because one of our participants had a medical issues and I was telling you about that? Well, unfortunately, that medical condition still exists. Given the length of time that we will probably address that, it might be just more prudent to recess you. An early recess. Instead of recessing you this Friday as the Court’s plan was originally, I’m gonna recess you for the holidays, today.” The trial will resume on January 2, 2024.
