Paul Pierce Clarifies The Truth Behind His NBA Finals Wheelchair Moment

If you are an NBA historian, then you know there is a conspiracy around Paul Pierce and his infamous wheelchair game in the 2008 NBA Finals. For those who may not know, Pierce got injured while playing against the Lakers in Game 1 of the championship series. He was subsequently taken away in a wheelchair before coming back to the floor not soon after. Overall, fans were convinced that he was going to be out for the series. Consequently, there was a feeling that the Lakers were guaranteed to win it all.

However, Pierce’s unlikely comeback was able to rally the Celtics. They eventually won the series and cemented themselves in NBA history. Moreover, Pierce walked away with NBA Finals MVP, which was a pretty incredible achievement. However, the conspiracy surrounding this moment is that Pierce actually had to go to the bathroom. Some believe he had an accident in his shorts and needed to be carried off in order to hide his desperate situation. Now, however, he is being given an opportunity to speak on it.

Paul Pierce Clears The Air

Pierce and Kevin Garnett recently took a trip to the Celtics facility where they interviewed Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. During the conversation, Brown asked Paul Pierce about what really went down that day. Pierce seemed a bit embarrassed by the question, however, he answered it regardless. As you can see, he blames the wheelchair moment on a sprained MCL. Garnett was a bit confused by what the rumors were, which led to a hilarious explanation from Pierce. Either way, Pierce is standing on the fact that he was truly injured.

Despite his recent explanation, not everyone is going to believe Pierce. Pierce is one of those media personalities that NBA fans love to hate. However, you have to take him at his word here. Either way, this is a legendary moment in NBA history. That 2008 Celtics team will always be beloved, and the current Celtics roster is trying to recreate their success. Jayson Tatum Sets NBA All-Star Single Game Scoring Record, Wins Kobe Bryant MVP Award

The Kobe Bryant Trophy has been awarded to Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum as the 2023 Kia NBA All-Star Game MVP.

Tatum led Team Giannis to a 184-175 victory over Team LeBron in the 72nd NBA All-Star Game with 55 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. He set the NBA All-Star Game total point and quarter point records (27 points in the third quarter).

“I found out midway through the fourth [about the record],” Tatum said in postgame. “I think I had like 49 and Dame [Lillard] was like, ‘Yo, the record’s 52.’ He was like, ‘Go get it.’”

Tatum will return to Boston with the Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP trophy, named after his idol.

“It’s extremely special to me,” Tatum said. “My first All-Star Game was in Chicago in 2020 when they renamed the MVP after him, and I remember telling myself that someday I got to get one of those.”

Jayson Tatum Named All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP: “Means The World To Me”

Jayson Tatum set an All-Star Game record with 55 points to win the MVP award, which has been named after his idol, Kobe Bryant. In doing so, Tatum led Team Giannis to a 184-175 victory over Team LeBron. Tatum truly took over after the start of the second half, scoring 27 of his 55 points in the third quarter. He ended the game shooting 22-for-31 from the field with 10 rebounds and six assists. The previous record for most points scored in the All-Star game was 52, as held by Anthony Davis since 2017.

So it’s an honor to take this home.” Tatum has been vocal about the impact Bryant had on him for years. Bryant won the award himself a total of three times, in 2002, 2007, and 2011. They played a video from Jay-Z to congratulate James. “Being able to perform at a high level for a long period of time, that’s excellence,” Jay-Z said. “Long after you’re gone, people may look at your name and like, ‘That’s what greatness is. There’s not many you can compare LeBron to. A 19-time All-Star, a remarkable feat. The all-time leading scorer, all-time! I mean, what can you say? He’s been through many iterations of the game and in each era, he’s been the best. ‘The Chosen One’ and that’s it.” James ended up injuring his finger during the game, but says he’ll “be fine.” He has until Thursday night, when the team takes on the Golden State Warriors, to be ready.

LeBron James Goes Viral With Hilarious Jayson Tatum Foul Theatrics

LeBron James and the Lakers have faced their fair share of problems this season. Of course, they struggled in the early going and have been trying to get back into a winning rhythm. Overall, this has been hard to do, and it was even harder on Saturday night as the Lakers lost to the Celtics.

However, the Lakers should have won on last-second free throws. Unfortunately for LeBron, the referees missed a very obvious call on Jayson Tatum. Subsequently, James responded with some hilarious theatrics in which he dropped to his knees. Subsequently, the Lakers went on to lose in overtime.

LeBron Speaks

Following the game, the NBA had no choice but to come out and comment on what happened. In the end, the league admitted to the fact that this was, indeed, a foul. Regardless, the Lakers still lost and there was nothing that could be done to actually overturn that fact. Consequently, James and his teammates were still incredibly upset with the result.

SOURCE SPORTS: Jayson Tatum Links With Nelly After Game 3 of the NBA Finals

Two St.Louis finest performed well on the court last night in Boston’s TD Garden. Boston Celtics’ small forward, Jayson Tatum, a St. Louis native, led his team to a pivotal game 3 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. And Nelly, an iconic rapper from St.Louis that helped pioneer the Midwest movement in hip-hop, entertained fans during halftime.

Tatum scored 26 points and dished out nine assists, and the Boston Celtics beat the Warriors 116-100. Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 31 points, including six 3-pointers.

In the first half, the game wasn’t even close. Celtics guard Jaylen Brown scored 17-points in the first quarter and led Boston to a 68-56 lead into halftime. Then the 2nd St. Louis star shined, Nelly.

If Twitter serves as any indication, Nelly still got it. At the half, the three-time Grammy Award-winning and double diamond certificated artists took canter court to do the halftime show. He wore his fellow STL native’s Boston green jersey and dazzled the crowd. Fans were on their feet as he performed several classic hits.

After the game, the two St.Lunatics met and happily embraced each other’s company. Fresh off the win, Tatum enthusiastically grabbed his son, Deuce Tatum, and went to chop it up with Nelly immediately after.

Who knows what the two conversed about, but they couldn’t hide their excitement of being two St.Louis natives achieving major goals on the main stage.

Tatum left the court to change for the press conference, and he spoke on the relationship he shares with the “Country Grammar” rapper.

“That’s my guy. I’ve known Nelly forever… Nelly is arguably like the most famous guy from St. Louis… until I catch up,” said Tatum.
