Travis Scott Shares An Earlier Young Thug Joint Effort With “Too Many Options”

Travis Scott is really dishing out something for everybody. During this DAYS BEFORE RODEO rerelease, he’s put together all sorts of packages. Vinyl and CD bundles with apparel were the first to come, which are something he’s been doing for quite some time. But last night was arguably the best time to cop something. La Flame put out a total of six versions of the 2014 mixtape, four of which included tracks from the vault. Around the DBR era, it was clear that the Houston native wanted to develop a solid rapport with the Atlanta scene, particularly Young Thug. Travis Scott has a handful tracks with him on these “Vault” exclusives, and one of our favorites is “Too Many Options”.

This one was a part of the third deluxe, which came with the solo cut “Naughty”. Right away, this “Too Many Options” sound extremely familiar. If you were able to pick up on it like we did, you may notice that it sounds like “Where U From” off of Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho. It was the second-to-last track off of the 2017 Quavo collab tape that featured a hazy country trap aesthetic. Overall, it’s cool to know that Thugger and Trav were trying to make this work back then. However, the question now remains, which version do you mess with more? Let us know in the comments below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Shake ’em off this b****, shake ’em-shake ’em off the stick
Nah, they can’t catch me, shake-shake-shake ’em off the stick
Shake ’em off his feet, shake ’em-shake ’em off his feet (Oh yeah)
Swag so ridiculous, it’ll shake you off your heat, yeah
I’ma kick it like sushi, ayy, that boy, he built like Cam Newton, ayy
Groovy b**** like [?], ayy, rich n**** still eat noodle soup

Quavo Looks To Reunite With Travis Scott By Teasing “Huncho Jack 2”

Quavo and Travis Scott are one of the elite duos in the trap rap space. Over the past decade, these two Southern hip-hop artists have delivered time and time again. You have tracks like “Oh My Dis Side”, “pick up the phone”, “Sloppy Toppy”, and “Kelly Price”, as well as countless others. The first of those collaborations really had a lot of listeners captivated by their incredible chemistry and it had people thinking what they could sound like on a full project. Well, they went for it all in December 2017, leaving off an early present under the Christmas tree with Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho.

The tape has since eclipsed one billion plus streams overall since its release almost seven years ago. Memorable cuts from it include “Dubai S***”, “Motorcycle Patches”, and “Black & Chinese”. When that milestone was reached late last year, Quavo commented under the Our Generation Music post about it, hinting at the possibility of a sequel. “That’s tuff next one loadin….. battery 🔋”, the former Migo wrote. To our knowledge, Scott has not been too vocal about this, but the Atlanta native sure is.

The Rocket Power rapper has recently been stirring the pot once again on his Instagram. The first video sees Quavo on his jet ski while listening to “Go” from their collab tape. He captioned the story post, “HJ2”. Then, he shared another message on the IG feed asking his fans to “Tag Jack!” as he continues to wrestle with this idea. “Thinkin HJ2 ?”, he said. Him and Scott have not made a song with just the two of them since “RERUN” from the former’s solo debut album. Overall, though, their most recent work on track came last summer with “Ring Ring”, which also had CHASE B, Don Toliver and Ty Dolla $ign.

What are your thoughts on Quavo hinting at a possible reunion with Travis Scott for a Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho part two? Do you think their time has passed as a duo, or do you still need this? Travis Scott & Quavo Cooked Up One Of Their Best Collabs With “Moon Rock”

Back in 2017, Travis Scott and Quavo felt like unstoppable entities in the hip-hop world. Overall, they still very much are. However, the Migos hype in 2017 was palpable, while Scott was on the cusp of becoming a mega star. They had already worked together before, but they decided to team up for a fully-fledged collaborative album. These collab tapes were becoming extremely popular, and it made sense for these two to link up. The album was called Huncho Jack Jack Huncho, and it was a relative success.

Ultimately, this is one of those albums that did not have the desired effect. Instead, it was seen as just another collab tape by two titans on autopilot. However, there were still some solid tracks here. It is by no means either of these artist’s best work. But that is not to say that it doesn’t deserve closer inspection. For instance, the song “Moon Rock” is one that is particularly memorable. With some of the best production on the entire tape, this feels like the perfect song to highlight on the album’s 6-year anniversary.

Travis Scott & Quavo Are “Huncho Jack”

The melody that builds on this song feels extremely dark. There is something really sinister about it and those crescendoing 808s really make this song pop. As for Travis and Quavo, they pull off some solid performances that are drenched in autotune. Lyrically, they aren’t exactly doing any heavy lifting. However, the vibes are there and that is what you want from these two.

What do you think of “Moon Rock?” Is this the best collaboration between Quavo and Travis Scott? If not, what is and why? Let us know in the comments section down below. Quotable Lyrics:

Ran 12 red lights, 12 behind me
Paparazzi flashes wanna deprive me
Hypnotized, I cannot let it blindside me, no
I’ma live and die by my Migos
Why I’m startin’ to dance, what in the hell did you hand me?
Took all of my n****s off Xans, put all of my bitches on Plan B
