The federal case against Diddy for alleged sex trafficking and other charges became a pretty contentious court affair when his lawyer Marc Agnifilo accused the federal government of allegedly leaking the footage of him assaulting Cassie in 2016 to the press. Specifically, he accused the Department of Homeland Security of this move. Not only that, but the attorney also alleged that the government leaked other grand jury information, used excessive force in their raids on Sean Combs’ homes, and he sought to launch an investigation into the matter. “The Government did not possess the video published by CNN prior to its public release, and the Government possessed no surveillance video at all from the Intercontinental prior to CNN’s public broadcast,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson reportedly stated concerning this Diddy allegation. “Accordingly, we wish to advise you that we consider any assertion in your motion of a purported Government leak related to the Intercontinental surveillance video to lack a good faith basis.”

“I don’t believe you can possibly know what DHS agents did and did not do in regard to this videotape,” Diddy’s lawyer allegedly responded. “We are making it very clear that we believe the U.S. Attorney’s Office was not involved in the leak. However, I don’t feel the same way about DHS. […] We reached out as a gesture of good faith and because we genuinely want to know your perspective. […] While you can speak from a position of knowledge in regard to your office, I don’t believe you can do so in regard to the agency.”
“To be clear, to our understanding, DHS did not have possession of the videotape prior to CNN’s publication of it,” Johnson responded to Diddy’s defense team. “Only the Government has authority to obtain grand jury material, and the video broadcast by CNN was not obtained through grand jury process.” As such, it seems like this is an allegation that Marc Agnifilo will have to argue even further in court if he wants to revisit these alleged leaks.
Diddy has reportedly listed his mansion in Beverly Hills for sale at a price point of $61 million. Page Six reports that the move “comes as no surprise to insiders, despite the recent controversy surrounding the hip-hop mogul,” according to a source. Homeland Security infamously raided the home, earlier this year, as part of the federal investigation into the Bad Boy mogul. The raid never led to any charges.
Another source for the outlet explained the decision to sell: “Combs established his primary residence on Star Island in Miami years ago. Now that his children are grown… the empty nester has decided to sell the property, marking a significant moment in LA real estate.” Notably, Homeland Security also raided the Miami property at the same time as they did his West Coast house.

The L.A. property is located on what is known as “Billionaire’s Row,” and boats several celebrity neighbors including Kylie Jenner, Jimmy Iovine, Alexandra Von Furstenberg, and more in addition to the Playboy Mansion. Diddy originally purchased the property a decade ago for $40 million. Built on 1.3 acres of land, the home encompasses 13,000 square feet of living space.
A description of the home caught by Page Six reads: “A grand cobblestone driveway leads to the completely remodeled estate, which features classic European design elements. The property boasts a luxurious paneled entry foyer with a sweeping staircase bathed in natural light, along with a large living room, formal dining room, wine cellar, office, and a gourmet kitchen with a family room and separate catering kitchen.” There are also apparently tons of amenities including a “state-of-the-art theater,” two-story guesthouse, and more. For instance, yesterday we reported on the video of Diddy pacing around a Miami airport. Now, TMZ has come through with another batch of images. In these photos, Diddy can be seen with his entourage outside of his private jet. The entourage is surrounded by Federal agents, and Diddy can be seen cooperating with them.

Brendan Paul can be seen in these images as well. For those who may not be aware, Paul is the former Syracuse basketball player who was arrested on drug charges. However, there is a lot of confusion about what is really going on. Some on social media made the claim that the music mogul had been restricted from flying. Moreover, there were others who said he flew to Antigua as a means of escape. Instead, the truth is that Diddy is not on the run, and Homeland Security told him that he is not under arrest. “Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” the statement explains. “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated. Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.”

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the searches, led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in New York. These raids are reportedly part of an investigation into allegations of sex trafficking, initiated by a lawsuit filed against Combs by his former girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura. Ventura accused Combs of physical abuse, sexual slavery, and rape, leading to a settlement between them. Cameras spotted Diddy’s sons, Justin and King Combs, returning to the residence to retrieve their belongings following the home raid on Diddy’s Los Angeles mansion. TMZ reported that they left the property separately late Monday night, with Justin arriving around 10:30 p.m. and his brother a few hours later. Despite being handcuffed during the Homeland Security sweep earlier that day, authorities did not arrest either son.
