Cardi B Addresses Eminem Rejection Rumors
There’s still a chance that Cardi B gets an Eminem feature on her upcoming sophomore studio album, but the chances remain pretty slim following her latest tweet addressing the rumors that he turned her down.

There has been a supposed “insider report” going around social media claiming that, among the people slated to appear on Cardi B’s next studio album, Eminem was hand-picked by the rapper but he declined the feature request. While it wouldn’t be absurd if that actually were the case, considering the stark differences in Eminem and Cardi’s musical styles, Cardi says that the reports are fake, meaning that a collaboration could still be on the table.
Replying directly to a page claiming that Eminem turned down the chance to work with Cardi B, the Bronx-based rapper said, “BIG LIES….I get off the internet and ya makin sh*t up. I haven’t sent no songs to no artist yet. Love his work and much respect. This don’t even make sense.”
It’s unclear where the rumor originated from but Cardi’s response is telling. With no artists getting ahold of her new album yet, it means we’re still probably a few months away from receiving it, which might come as a disappointment to some fans.
Are you looking forward to hearing Cardi B’s new album and do you think she’ll end up getting Eminem as a feature?

Lil Duke’s J. Cole & Quavo Collab “Loyal” Surfaces
At the beginning of 2019, in the midst of J. Cole’s epic feature spree that found him collaborating with more artists than ever before, YSL’s own Lil Duke revealed that he was one such beneficiary. Sharing a glimpse at the tracklist to his then-upcoming Blue Devil 2, track five was labeled as “Loyal,” featuring J. Cole. Unfortunately, when the project went on to be released in June of the same year, the J. Cole collaboration was nowhere to be found, prompting speculation that label intervention had come into play.

Though fans never quite received the answer they may have been hoping for, it would appear that the song has finally surfaced, albeit under mysterious circumstances. HipHopNMore has reported that “Loyal” has leaked, though the song does appear on Duke’s official YouTube page, making it unclear as to where the track actually came from. Still, the track is currently available, and be streamed over at HHNM right here.
As for the song itself, it should be noted that Cole does not actually spit a verse over the smooth Mustard-produced track, though his presence is certainly felt nonetheless. The bars are handled by Duke and Quavo, both of whom spit game over the bouncy, piano-driven instrumental. It’s not exactly the type of track you’d expect upon seeing “featuring J. Cole” on paper, but it certainly would have had a place on Blue Devil 2, were it included as originally intended.
Be sure to check out the track now, while it’s still available on Duke’s official YouTube page. Those who have heard it, sound off with your comments on the previously unreleased track in the comments below.

FKA Twigs Fans Think Lil Nas X Ripped Her Off With His New ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ Video
Last night, after months of Hype, Lil Nas X finally released his “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” video. Ahead of the premiere, he excitedly tweeted, “bro i wrote this song myself, co-directed the video, and had to step way out of my comfort zone for this moment to take place tonight! i hope you guys love it! F*CKK I CANT WAIT!!!” He later added, “can’t wait for you to see the video tonight! ITS AN EXPERIENCE!”
For some music fans, though, it was an experience they felt like they had seen before. Following the video’s debut, FKA Twigs became a trending topic on Twitter as people started point out perceived similarities between Nas’ new video and Twigs’ 2019 visual for “Cellophane.”
Twigs famously learned how to pole dance for her video and does so in mystical-looking environments, which is not unlike what Nas does in his clip. Some shared screenshots of frames from both videos that are strikingly similar. One user pointed out that Nas’s “Old Town Road” video won a Grammy over Twigs, which they felt added another layer of insult to Nas’ alleged plagiarism.

DJ Akademiks: “[Saweetie] Was Dead Weight Holding [Quavo] Back”
The Migos are entering a new chapter in their prolific run as one of the greatest rap groups of all-time, teasing the release of their upcoming album Culture III. As the trio of Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff navigates this new era, they’re continually struck with all kinds of potentially-damaging headlines about their personal lives, including cheating allegations for Quavo and Offset, as well as more serious claims about Takeoff.
Following the recent split of rap’s favorite couple Saweetie and Quavo, there has been a lot of slander popping up on social media regarding the former, who called out her ex-boyfriend for cheating on her with multiple women. DJ Akademiks previously stated that the Migos are one of his favorite music acts, so it shouldn’t be surprising that he’s siding with them. However, the extent to which he’s trashing Saweetie post-breakup is pretty bad.

Taking to Twitter to tease a new version of the long-awaited “Modern Day Stroll” from Migos, Ak predicted a strong presence for Quavo in the coming months. “The Post Saweetie era for Quavo finna be legendary,” said the blogger. “I’m calling it. She was dead weight holding mans back. He already rapping different.”
Ak also said that Offset impressed him with his new verse on the song, adding, “Offset been rapping like cardi in the next room going thru his phone.. he snapping like a mf.”

Pacman Da Gunman Enlists Nipsey Hussle & Mozzy For “Zero Tolerance”
Pacman Da Gunman has returned with his latest drop “Zero Tolerance,” a west coast posse cut featuring Mozzy and a posthumous verse from Nipsey Hussle. Obviously, Hussle’s presence will be a major selling point for many, and he certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Charged with opening things up with the chorus, Nip brings a commanding presence to the sparse and threatening instrumental. “Don’t even try I know you n***as too well,” he raps, holding it down for the second verse. “What’s the chance while pumping gas you catch me slippin’ at Shell / I can’t respect you if you in it for thrills.” Pacman keeps stride with his own verse, shrugging off the constant struggle to keep a grounded moral compass. “My conscious begging for murder it’s potent when I’m drinking,” he raps. “My losses made me a savage convert me to a demon.”
Charged with closing “Zero Tolerance” out, Mozzy slides in with a quicker flow, taking aim at snakes in the grass in his opening bars. “You ain’t get to disrespect the dead unless you killed a n***a,” he warns. “They ain’t close their mouth when apprehended, I ain’t feel them n***as / pivot ain’t respected, n***as out here cutting deals with bitches.”
Check out the track for yourself now, and show some love to Pacman, Nipsey, and Mozzy in the comments below.

Internet Money Rides The Wave With Lil Mosey & Lil Tecca On “JETSKI”
It looks like Internet Money has its next big hit following the success of last year’s “Lemonade”. The Los Angeles-based production collective has a team of talented musicians under its wing, including Nick Mira and Taz Taylor, who have proudly put Internet Money on their back since day one. They’ve worked with a gaggle of upcoming rap stars, finding success previously with Lil Mosey and Lil Tecca. They’ve been working on their next single for a number of months now and, finally, they’re ready to unleash it to the world with the release of “JETSKI”.
With the right treatment on the promotional side, Internet Money’s new song “JETSKI” has all the makings of a smash hit. It could do wonders to cement the careers of Lil Mosey and Lil Tecca as superstars for years to come, as well. The bouncy new record comes with a similar song structure to “Lemonade” so the collective surely knows they’ve got a formula that they need to stick to.
Listen to “JETSKI” below and let us know what you think.

Damn, this money knee-high, catch me in Ibiza

YNW Melly Childishly Taunts His Opps On “Na Na Na Boo Boo”
As YNW Melly’s legal struggle continue, the Hip-Hop community is waiting with bated breath and see whether the talented Florida rapper will make it out of prison as a free man or do serious jail time for allegedly killing his two close associates, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser. Compared to when other rappers who have faced major criminal charges and endured prison bids, #FreeMelly isn’t a call for freedom that all Hip-Hop fans can stand behind. Still, many will take new YNW Melly music whenever they can, so several fans are likely ecstatic that the Florida artist has returned with another single, mere weeks after his collaboration with Kodak Black.
In “Na Na Na Boo Boo,” YNW Melly channels his inner kid by repeatedly using the childish playground taunt that the rapper named his song after. In between a bevy of whiny “Na Na Na Boo Boo”-s, Melly actually delivers pretty vicious bars, as he talks about having sex with his enemy’s girlfriends and killing his opposition if necessary. At three-minutes long, the Florida artist’s new release is admittedly a bit unorthodox, but it definitely reflects Melly’s childlike creativity.
Check out YNW Melly’s quirky new single “Na Na Na Boo Boo” below.
