Nike Air Max 90 Goes The Patriotic Route With New Colorway: Photos

Last year was a special one for the Nike Air Max 90 as it celebrated its 30th anniversary. As a result of this birthday, the shoe was given a massive amount of dope new colorways, all while receiving some of the retros that we all know and love. This was a big deal for sneakerheads everywhere as they were basically guaranteed a new pair of Air Max 90s if they wanted one. In 2021, Nike has kept the party alive and the Air Max 90 colorways just keep on coming.

The latest colorway of the Air Max 90 to be shown off definitely has some nice patriotic vibes to it as the upper is mostly covered in white all while some red and blue are sprinkled throughout as a way to change things up a bit. There is even a nice bit of silver on the sides which helps give it an extra edge overall. This is definitely a solid Air Max 90 and one that many will watch out for ahead of July 4th.

Jeezy Recalls Getting “G-Checked” By Snoop Dogg & E-40 Following Arrest

Relationships between artists aren’t just about shouting out someone on social media and hoping for a collaboration one day. The Rap industry is often criticized as being violent or filled with unnecessary beefs, but it also has is a longstanding reputation for forging some real-life friendships that have lasted decades. Often, artists help one another behind the scenes without recognition or praise, and Jeezy claims that’s exactly what happened to him when he wasn’t doing his best.

The newlywed recently sat down with the Best Advice podcast on Spotify and shared a story involving Snoop Dogg and E-40. He recalled being at a video shoot years ago with the two California Rap icons in Los Angeles after getting released from jail. Jeezy said he had been “locked up in L.A. for some things that happened in the Bay” Area.

“My mind was gone,” said Jeezy. “I was upset, I wanted revenge, and I wasn’t focused. My whole equilibrium was thrown off.  I was really on some—it was crazy. I remember sitting down and they both sat down and looked at me and they just kinda like, side-eyed me… [They say], ‘You know what? You know what’s the difference between you and Pac?’ And I was just like, ‘Whoa.’ I’m like, okay.”

“They just went on to say, ‘Yo, listen. [Tupac] never stopped what he was about. He never let up on his people. He never…’ And it was like ‘You, better get out here and do what you’re supposed to be doing, because these people believe you and they riding with you, and you ain’t moving right. And we telling you that.’ I’m sitting with E-40 and Snoop Dogg and I’m like, ‘Damn. I’m gettin’ G-checked by the big homies!’”

After laughing at the memory, Jeezy added that at the time, he didn’t have the full understanding that his actions, as well as his talents, were being seen and followed by his fans. “You can be doing things in your mind, but your actions show who you are.”

Listen to Jeezy’s Best Advice episode below to catch a few gems and gain insight on various topics including karma, forgiveness, holding grudges, and more.

Yaya Mayweather Taunts Jake & Logan Paul: “Boy You Done F*cked Up”

The talk of Thursday (May 6) is the press conference meltdown between Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul. Mayweather is slated to go toe-to-toe with Logan Paul on June 6, but Jake is vying for his time in the spotlight with the boxing champ. Jake is coming off a winning streak in his first three professional fights and it’s obvious that he’s basking in the glory.

By now, you may have witnessed the “got your hat” moment where Jake Paul got handsy with Mayweather and, in the end, walked away with a smile on his face and a black eye. He claimed that it was someone on Mayweather’s team that clocked him in the fray, but Yaya Mayweather, Floyd’s daughter, came through with a screenshot that says otherwise.

Yaya doesn’t play around when it comes to her father, and she called out Jake online. “@Jakepaul wait you said who gave you a black eye??? [crying laughing emoji][crying emojis],” she wrote over a still of Mayweather and Paul. She added another photo, this time of her father and Logan Paul. “Boy you done f*cked up your ass is going to be layed out on the canvas June 6th.”

Of course, social media has lit up with reactions to this Mayweather’s exchange with the Paul brothers as many people are alleging that it was all staged. Check out Yaya’s posts as well as a few reactions from the public below.

LeBron James Sets New Injury Return Timeline

LeBron James is one of the most valuable players in relation to his team in the history of the NBA. Whenever LeBron leaves a franchise or is injured for a prolonged amount of time, that team immediately starts to perform like a bottom-feeder franchise. It happened with the Cleveland Cavaliers and it’s happened with the Los Angeles Lakers, whenever LeBron isn’t able to play through injury. As of right now, the Lakers are experiencing a familiar fate as LeBron is out with an ankle injury.

James actually came back to the court on Friday although just a couple of days later, he reaggravated his ankle and now he is out for at least another week. With the playoffs right around the corner, there is no denying that the team needs him more than ever before.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there is some light at the end of the tunnel here as LeBron is now looking to come back next week, which is when the season will be on the verge of wrapping up. This will be a key time for the Lakers who are trying to make sure they don’t have to play in the dreaded playoff play-in round.

Stay tuned for updates on this matter, as we will continue to keep you informed on LeBron’s injury status.

LL Cool J Expands Classic Hip Hop “Rock The Bells” Brand With $8Mil Investment

Big moves are being made by LL Cool J’s Rock the Bells brand. Named after the rapper’s classic 1985 hit, Rock the Bells is reportedly expanding as Variety reports that the company has acquired $8 million in funding from private investors. Upon its launch a few years ago, Rock the Bells quickly became a hit on SiriusXM as a classic Hip Hop station and soon, LL capitalized off of the venture with merchandise and brand partnerships.

President James Cuthbert, who reportedly also held positions with BET and Coca-Cola as a marketing executive, told Variety‘s Strictly Business podcast that Rock The Bells is entering new avenues with short-form content on its website as well as “e-commerce opportunities and infrastructure to work with brands on marketing and sponsorship opportunities.” At its core, it will always promote the love of classic Hip Hop and informing the masses about the foundation of one of the most popular genres of music in the world.

“We think those work together to form a flywheel,” Cuthbert said. “It’s important to have the right human beings.” The first goal to hire more people and develop a larger team. Overall, Cuthbert wants Rock the Bells to create  “short, medium and long-form content, all with the underlying thematic of elevating classic hip hop and building cultural bridges for people who have yet to fully discover the mythology that sits in our classic hip hop.”

Currently, the Rock the Bells SiriusXM station hosts a “large percentage of listeners” that are under 25 years old, so Cuthbert and Co. believe this is the perfect opportunity to not only expand the brand but to educate younger Hip Hop and Rap fans about the culture. “Imagine if somebody had wrapped their head around building a brand (that encapsulated) classic rock,” Cuthbert added. “We are working with brands who want to authentically play in this space. If you want to leverage hip hop, we can help.”

Trevor Lawrence Dons Jaguars Jersey For The First Time

When the Jacksonville Jaguars selected first overall in the NFL Draft last week, everyone knew they were going to take Trevor Lawrence from the Clemson Tigers. After winning the National Championship in 2019, it was a foregone conclusion that someday, he would be a first overall pick. In the end, the Jaguars did the right thing and picked a franchise quarterback who will likely be the starter for years to come.

Since getting picked by the Jaguars, Lawrence has fully embraced the city and even got to visit the day after his draft party. Needless to say, the fans are extremely excited to have him on the team and Lawrence himself seems stoked to be able to start his career in a state like Florida.

Today, Lawrence officially got to become a member of the Jaguars as he wore his Jags uniform for the very first time. In the photo carousel below, you can see Lawrence donning the teal and black colors he will be wearing for a very long time, barring any sort of dramatic exodus. For both Lawrence and the fans, this is a huge day. Not to mention, he definitely looks good in his new colors.

Hopefully, the Jaguars-Lawrence partnership will be one we get to see for years to come.

Andre. Shows Off His ‘Bougie & Cocky’ Side With “Break All The Rules”

Transitioning from a reality TV star into a respectable artist can be an uphill battle for many, but the ones who are really dedicated to winning and can put their talent to the forefront will usually see triumph in their journey to the top. Granted, Cardi B is still the sole Billboard success story out of the Love & Hip-Hop franchise, but we see greater things in store when it comes to former MTV reality star Andre Siemers as he embarks on a rap career himself.

Now simply going by Andre. — period mark always in tact — the Minnesota native drops visuals for his latest single “Break All The Rules” with all the confidence of a veteran 10 years his senior. Opting for a black & white approach in terms of cinematography, Andre.’s latest visuals give a great look at his personal style, knack for interesting camera angles and dope production by way of GRAMMY-nominated producer Prince Chrishan of Makasound Records alongside HitMaka (fka Yung Berg). In short, Dre is definitely surrounding himself around a handful of, well, hitmakers, and it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw more of him in the foreseeable future. Actually, expect more from him in summer 2021 as he prepares to drop more projects and new music for the season.

Check out the video for “Break All The Rules” by Andre., and let us know what you think of both the song and visuals overall down below by letting off your opinions in the comment section:

Quotable Lyrics:

They call me bougie and cocky
I just keep it cool
Bag a b*tch off appearance
I’m talking that talk, I don’t need me no jewels
Girl you got the world at your hands
Don’t be a fool
I be breaking your back
Don’t be breaking your heart
Girl, let’s break all the rules
