Rick Ross Awestruck By Jay Leno’s $15 Million F1 McLaren

It’s no surprise that Rick Ross is naming his upcoming album Richer Than I’ve Ever Beenconsidering that he’s seemingly richer than he’s ever been. Yet even hip-hop’s self-declared “Biggest Boss,” himself an admirer of fine possessions and lavish living, cannot compete with the substantial fortune and equally substantial car collection of late-night legend Jay Leno.

Leno recently invited Rick Ross and his team to appear on Jay Leno’s Garage, and the rapper quickly found himself falling in love with one of Leno’s prized possessions. “Ladies and gentlemen, this is the F1 McLaren,” declares Renzel, with a similar adoring passion in his cadence to that employed by David Attenborough on Planet Earth. “Valued at fifteen million dollars. The gold motor. The middle seat, the red seat is a middle seat in between both seats. F1.”

In addition to the McLaren clip, Rozay took to Instagram to thank Leno for his hospitality, teasing his upcoming appearance in the process. “Detail is everything,” captions Ross, alongside a behind-the-scenes pic. “I thank Jay Leno @jaylenosgarage for bringing me and my team @geterk_183rd @iamlexpierrelouis to Burbank, California to film an episode starring my prized possession ’57 Renzel’ built by @57freddy out of Miami. I got to ride thru Cali hills top down, windows up talking classic rides with the Legend today.”

Check out Rozay’s footage from his time at Jay Leno’s garage below, including his adoring commentary on the rare and beautiful F1 McLaren. Do you think there are any rappers out there with a car collection that could marvel that of Jay Leno’s?

Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Killer Eric Holder’s Trial Delayed Again

Nipsey Hussle’s family and loved ones will, unfortunately, need to wait a few months longer to reach justice in the murder case involving the rapper’s suspected killer, Eric Holder. According to The Shade Room, Holder reportedly refused to leave his jail cell this morning for a court hearing so his trial was delayed until later this year. He was also assigned a new lawyer.

Holder’s trial has been pushed back a few times now. When the pandemic was just starting, it was reported that his trial was pushed back because the courts were closed. At this point, the trial has been delayed for over a year. The latest report reads that Holder was assigned a new lawyer, Aaron Jansen, who is replacing his previous defense attorney, Lowynn Young. Holder was initially being represented by Christopher Darden, the same attorney from O.J. Simpson’s murder trial before he stepped down.

The previous judge in this case has retired and a jew judge, Honorable Clay Jacke, has been assigned. Considering there is a new judge and attorney, it will likely take a few months for them to get caught up on everything.

Prosecutors have accused Holder of shooting Nipsey Hussle in the head and chest outside of the rapper’s shop in Los Angeles. He was indicted on one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder related to other victims, and weapons charges.

We will continue to keep you updated on the status of this trial.

Curren$y Laughs At Jet Life Member Who Got Chain Stolen By A Woman

A New Orleans woman is being accused of taking off with several expensive pieces of jewelry from one of Curren$y’s Jet Life affiliates, posting a picture with a silver chain, a Rolex watch, and a ruby ring. The woman, named Essence Lindsay, reportedly locked herself in the victim’s bedroom and refused to come out. The next day, Lindsay left the home and the man found some of his jewelry missing. The theft reportedly took place last week.

Curren$y claims that the silver chain that was taken was part of a Friends & Family collection that he handed out to those close to him. “Ooooooooohhhhhh one of the homies got caught slippin and let a broad steal some jewelry,” he reacted on Twitter. “I need everybody n the crew to post they jetlife chain… which one of y’all boys got jacked and ain’t say nuffin ?hahhaa.”

The story ended up making the news, causing an even stronger reaction from the rapper. “It ain’t funny… but u mean to tell me u called the news before u called us?…. who did this?… it’s a lil funny can’t lie but let’s be serious for a sec. haaaaaa. Or the cops and then the cops called the news haha either way…. who the f*ck hahah …. that ofcourse is if this is a real thing that happened. But boyyyyyy n***az hotta know better than to sleep round something u can’t trust … learn from it. Laugh about. But maaaaannnnn.”

He continued on Tuesday, revealing that the chain was definitely from one of his affiliates. “After further examination of the photo I see that it was one of the silver Jetlife chains we had made for novelty gifts for friends and family,” explained Curren$y. “Of which she was neither so she had to have stolen it from an affiliate for sure but it was just the silver one haha but still bro.”

Village People’s Victor Willis Tells The Weeknd To ‘Lighten Up’ With His Grammys Criticism

Ever since his No. 1 album After Hours was snubbed of a 2020 Grammy Award, The Weeknd has not been shy about his criticism of The Recording Academy, even promising to boycott the organization going forward. But The Weeknd isn’t the first singer to publicly call out The Recording Academy for their problematic practices. Village People’s Victor Willis (aka the cop) has a long history of outing the Grammys’ discriminatory practices — and he’s now telling The Weeknd to “lighten up.”

Back in 2017, Willis was outspoken about his disdain for the Grammys. He even reportedly send a letter to The Recording Academy’s president claiming there were “secret committees” that existed to “override the decision of Grammy voters in the event the select committee does not like who the Grammy voter has chosen” for the biggest awards. Willis also cited the controversy around Adele beating out Beyonce in every major category that year. “If certain people at the Grammys don’t like who the voters have chosen,” he wrote, “a Grammy committee will simply override the voters and subsequently select who they think should win. Like Adele, maybe?”

But now, Willis has turned his attention to The Weeknd’s recent comments about the Recording Academy. Penning an open letter to The Weeknd on Facebook, Willis claimed The Weeknd stayed silent when he was “benefiting from those secret committees” in the past. The Village People singer also applauded the work of The Recording Academy’s interm CEO Harvey Mason Jr.:

“Pssst, ‘The Weeknd,’ lighten up on the Grammys already why don’t cha!? I know a thing or two about attacking the Grammys, and their once secret committees. I must say you’re not handling this in the spirit of Black protest of this important issue. You see, while Black artists like me were making honest complaints about the secret committees, you were busy racking up one Grammy after another under those secret committees.

I don’t recall you complaining about the secret committees when you were benefiting from those secret committees. But on the one occasion the secret committees didn’t benefit you, the Grammys are suddenly corrupt, and it’s off with their heads? Under the circumstances, you’re much too talented to be pouting about the Grammys. And it seems you’re out for blood despite the secret committees being eliminated. Negative.

This important American institution known as the Grammys has an African American in there (Harvey Mason) that’s making real, meaningful and historic changes that will likely benefit the music business for decades to come. Cut the brotha some slack!”

Young Dolph & Key Glock’s ‘A Goat & A Dolphin’ Video Keeps Things Simple

Young Dolph & Key Glock still aren’t stopping, even nearly two months after the release of their latest joint album Dum & Dummer 2. After putting out videos for “Aspen,” “Sleep With The Roaches,” “Penguins,” “Rain Rain,” and more, they keep the ball rolling today with the video for “A Goat & A Dolphin.”

The most prominent feature of this video is its female talent, this time in the form of a short-haired young woman in a bikini who twerks behind Key Glock as he raps. The scene switches for Dolph’s verses, adopting a red filter as the two rappers stand back-to-back in a smoky room, adding more women who catwalk through the scene, occasionally pausing to mug at the camera or briefly interact with the rappers.

In an era when most rappers drop a project and forget about it within a few weeks, Dolph and Glock’s commitment to bringing attention to their latest effort is commendable — and smart. They continue to run up the streaming numbers long after the album’s release, a rarity in an increasingly packed slate of big-name releases from major label artists who can afford to stretch their rollouts for months on end. With Dolph announcing his pending retirement last month, he’ll be leaving the game on an extremely high note and earning his time off.
