Troy Ave Targets Casanova: “U Sold Ya Soul For Protection”

The longstanding beef between Troy Ave and Casanova 2x is far from over. The pair have been trading insults on wax and social media for years, often dropping scathing bars about one another while involving other artists in their ongoing animosity. However, artists often find peace as they endure similar circumstances, and considering Troy Ave is fighting a case and Casanova is currently incarcerated after turning himself in to federal authorities, it was believed that they wouldn’t be going at each other for the time being. Troy axed that theory.

Earlier today (May 17), Troy Ave uploaded the art for “Assanova” that included an animated rat wearing a “2x” chain. He then included lyrics from his track “Richer Than My Haters” pulled from his recent release, Kill or Be Killed. “Casanova crying folks he jus settin up stage to tell / How the fuk u crying broke wit jus 90 days in a cell,” Troy wrote.

“U sold ya soul for protection / They ain’t protect u to swell / Damn caswell,” he continued. “U the blood they extort on / This occurrence is CLASSIK LIKE THE BOY U TOLD ON / Dont make me retrieve da paperwork that u wrote on / Can’t get a visit from None of them rappers D*ck’s u rode on.” Casanova has repeatedly taken to social media to lament over those farewell friends who haven’t reached out or helped him while he’s been locked up.

It looks as if Troy Ave isn’t offering any sympathy. Check out his post below.

Lil Reese Update Given By Rapper’s GF: “Real N*ggas Know Wassup”

For the second time in six months, Lil Reese was attacked in Chicago. Back in November 2020, Reese was the victim of an assault while he was at a light while inside a vehicle. Someone pulled up next to him and opened fire, shooting the rapper in the neck. After months of recovery and rehabilitation, Reese regained the ability to speak and resumed his career, however, he once again faced a shooting attack in his hometown. This time, it’s reported that Reese was injured after a bullet grazed his eyeball, and there have been speculative and unconfirmed reports that he has lost the ability to see in that eye.

Fans sat anxiously awaiting news regarding Reese’s recovery and soon, there were brief updates shared to the rapper’s Instagram Story. The messages assured the public that Reese would once again recover from his injuries and his girlfriend, Kimani, reportedly gave her own update on Instagram, as well.

“He good, I’m good, we good,” she reportedly wrote. “Y’all stay off them blogs & don’t believe sh*t they say on these apps! Real n*ggas know wassup [one hundred emoji] thank you for the concern & the mfs showing love. All u internet goofys stay out the way [hand peace sign emoji][praying hands emoji][red heart emoji].”

It’s unclear who those “goofys” are that he was referring to, but Tekashi 6ix9ine has continued his beef with Reese by trolling him following the incident. Multiple reports have stated that Reese was in a stolen vehicle with two other men, who were also shot during the altercation.

Coi Leray Shares Mugshot & Reveals She’s Completed Her Album

She may not want to add her name to conversations involving “female rappers” comparisons, but after releasing her mugshot on the same day as Nicki Minaj, it can’t be helped. Coi Leray’s career has been steadily on an upward momentum with each new release, but it was her “No More Parties (Remix)” with Lil Durk that help catapult her to new heights.

Next, Coi’s “Big Purr” with Pooh Shiesty continued the hype, and as she puts her beef with father Benzino behind and focuses on things that make her elevate, as she says, Leray reflects on a time in her life that was less than favorable.

“Lol this is crazy … I just took my braids out [upside down smiley face],” Leray wrote in the caption of her mugshots. “I was getting money!!!! They don’t know a thing about me … smh [face palm emoji].” With the trip down memory lane also came an update for fans. “Album is done man I’m ready,” she added.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj also shared a similar post as she penned a note about her 2003 arrest on weapons possession charges. Leray recently took to Twitter to share that she’s down for Nicki to jump on yet another remix to “No More Parties,” but it’s unclear if the “Seeing Green” rapper will answer the social media call.

Check out Coi Leray’s mugshots below.

T.I. Investigated On Allegations Of Rape, Drugging Woman In 2005: Report

There were some who believed that the initial accusations against T.I. and his wife Tiny would eventually blow over, but it’s being reported by Deadline that the couple’s legal troubles are just beginning. T.I. and Tiny’s former friend Sabrina Peterson first suggested that the couple was engaging in illegal activities with women, and soon, she resurfaced with audio and stories from the couple’s alleged accusers. T.I. and Tiny have repeatedly denied that they took advantage of, hurt, assaulted, or drugged anyone.

There are reportedly upwards of two dozen women who have shared stories reaching back into the early 2000s, and it’s a 2005 alleged rape that is now being actively investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Deadline confirmed with the LAPD that T.I. is being investigated and the outlet detailed this particular alleged incident. The accuser, only referred to as Jane Doe, reportedly met with detectives last month. She claimed that back in 2005, she met T.I. and Tiny at a nightclub and went back to their hotel with them. She said that once back inside of the room, T.I. gave her a drink, and “she soon found herself naked, in a shower and on a bed with the Harrises, as she felt increasingly sick.”

Attorney Tyrone Blackburn in handling her case as well as Rachelle Jenks, a woman who filed a similar report with authorities in Las Vegas. Steve Sadow, T.I.’s lawyer, told Deadline: “The Harrises have not spoken to or been contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) or, indeed, any member of law enforcement from any other jurisdiction in the country.”

T.I. nor Tiny have addressed LAPD’s investigation.

6ix9ine Snaps On Young Thug Over Comments About Betting Against Him

The shooting involving Lil Reese has reignited Tekashi 6ix9ine’s trolling antics. The controversial rapper has kept himself busy traveling, yachting, and partying, but when he caught word of Reese being shot again in Chicago, this time in the eye, 6ix9ine couldn’t stop himself from sparking up their beef once again. Yet, Reese hasn’t been his only target, because Young Thug’s interview with Million Dollaz Worth of Gamemade the Atlanta star become the next in line for 6ix9ine.

During the chat, Young Thug mentioned that he made bets with another rapper regarding 6ix9ine. Thugger claimed that he bet 6ix9ine would snitch and won, but he made another bet that 6ix9ine would get into trouble on the streets, but lost. “I bet five thousand that he tell, and he bet five thousand that nothing is gonna happen to him,” said Thug.

“I bet him five thousand that something was gonna happen to him, too” he added. “I don’t know why I had that belief. I really believe, like, he gon’ think he gangsta and he gon’ try to step out and somebody gon’ do somethin’. Even if it’s on some humble sh*t. Even if its some sh*t like, just anything. I betted five thousand that something was gon’ happen, like, I bet you whatever, n*ggas see him something gon’ happen. Somethin’. He gon’ get beat up, he gon’ have to run out the club, somethin’ gon’ happen. I lost that f*ckin’ bet. Them p*ssy ass n*ggas let that n*gga in the club.”

6ix9ine didn’t appreciate the mention so he decided to take aim at Young Thug. He shared a photo of the YSL leader altered with poorly drawn makeup. “These the real n*ggas in Atlanta,” he wrote over the image. 6ix9ine also commented on Akademiks’s post, “Did he know gunna was going to tell on crime stoppers?”

Fat Joe Praises Diddy, Doesn’t Think He Can “Recreate” His 1990s Energy

His sitdown with Drink Champs has been much talked about, especially after he called DJ Khaled the “Quincy Jones of Hip Hop.” Fat Joe is not only an applauded artist but his commentary on Rap and Hip Hop culture has been known to spark a discussion or two. Another takeaway moment from his Drink Champs appearance had to do with Diddy and whether or not the Bad Boy mogul has the chops to take over the scene in the same way that he and his artists did back in the 1990s.

“He could never recreate that same energy,” said Fat Joe.

“He can make…will Puff Daddy make a masterpiece? It’s all R&B, he is. Is it gonna be incredible, is it gonna be fly and all that? Yes. But you can never recreate, you know…” Joe said before he rapped the late Craig Mack‘s classic 1994 single “Flava in Ya Ear.” Fans are expecting Diddy to tap into Puff Daddy bag again one day, but it seems that Sean Love Combs is all about a different route.

Still, Diddy remains one of the most celebrated producers, label heads, and A&Rs in Hip Hop history, regardless of the controversies about contracts and business dealings stemming from complaints by former artists. Do you think Diddy can dominate once again or do you agree with Fat Joe?

Check out the clip of Fat Joe on Drink Champs as well as his full interview below.
