Micheal Strahan may have dodged a bullet with ex-wife Jean Muggli Strahan, who’s obsessive behavior has landed her in a New York Jail. According to TMZ, Jean Muggli Strahan was arrested on Friday after showing up at ex-girlfriend Marianne Ayer’s New York apartment- a violation of a legal order of protection filed by Ayer. Muggli Strahan was taken into custody and charged with criminal contempt. Jean Muggli has been accused of abusive behavior behavior before, specifically by Strahan.

Marianne Ayer filed legal documents against Jean Strahan in June after months of alleged harassment following the couple’s breakup. Ayer claims her ex-girlfriend took her son’s plastic gun, claimed it was real, and threatened her with it. The legal documents also accused Jean Strahan of abusing her pets– allegedly kicking and shoving her German Shepherd. All of these accusations were filed under charges of grand larceny, disorderly conduct, forcible touching, harassment, and coercion.

Michael Strahan married Jean Muggli Strahan in 1999. The couple had two twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia, in 2004, before divorcing in 2006. In March of last year, the former football player and TV host accused Jean Muggli of similar offenses against their twin daughters. According to TMZ, Strahan, who gave Muggli over $15 million for their divorce settlement, accused his ex-wife of being both emotionally and physically abusive to their daughter. Strahan is still engaged in a battle for full custody of his daughters and wants his ex-wife to face charges for the abuse.

Polo G is fresh off the heels of releasing his No. 1 album Hall of Fame. The album debuted at the summit of the Billboard 200 chart, defying sales projections and debuting above Migos’ Culture III. Of course, it helped that he had hip-hop vets like Nicki Minaj on his side cheering him on. 

Elsewhere, Bobby Shmurda has seemingly been on a world tour since coming home from prison. The Brooklyn drill pioneer was arrested by NYPD back in 2014 and charged with numerous gang-related charges, pleading guilty and receiving a seven-year sentence. He came home early in February of this year, diving his head straight back into the game. The most recent person Shmurda has connected in the stu with is none other than Polo G himself.

The two posed together as they posted up inside of a studio. Bobby Shmurda has notably not released any new music since his release and Polo G just dropped his third studio album, which could perhaps mean all the famous names Bobby’s been linking up with could appear on his first project out.

Previously, Bobby’s connected with Meek Mill, Drake, Chris Brown, DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. Whatever the 26-year-old is working on, it seems like it’s going to be pretty spectacular.

Since 2019, several film fanatics have been awaiting the release of Dune, a reboot of the 1984 film based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name. The latest version of Dune stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa, and although it was originally scheduled to release on November 20, 2020, the pandemic caused Warner Bros. to push it back a year.

Following its original delay, however, Dune has been bouncing between release date to release date, with its previous release date actually aligning with Robert Pattinson’s highly anticipated The Batman. Now, the Kid Cudi-approved sci-fi flick has been rescheduled once again, and it is set to hit theatres on October 22, 2021.

According to Uproxx, Dune‘s new release date has also created the busiest day for movies this year, as it now shares the same premiere as The French Dispatch (Wes Anderson’s first live-action movie in seven years), Last Night In SoHo (starring Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Diana Rigg), and Jackass 4 (starring new Jackass cast members Jasper the Dolphin, Sean McInerney, and Zach Holmes).

Chicago-bred rapper G Herbo has had a very eventful year and a half. Late last year, the 25-year-old was named in a $1.5 million federal fraud case. He and his crew are accused of being involved in a million-dollar credit card scheme by committing identity theft and using the stolen card information and IDs to pay for lavish gifts and vacations over a four-year period. 

In May of this year, he was additionally charged with allegedly lying to federal agents about information in the case. In brighter news, he and his girlfriend Taina Williams welcomed their child together this year as well. Not letting his legal troubles deter him from churning out new tunes, the rap star announced the arrival of his upcoming fourth studio album on Friday (June 25).

In the trailer shared to his Instagram for the forthcoming album, he opened up about where his mind is at right now. “I ain’t never seen myself going this far in life, I always wanted to be somebody since I was a kid,” G Herbo says in the video’s opening. “I’ve seen death way too many times. I’ve been shot, been to jail, I done been broke and I took everything that came with this street shit … all the killing, fear … overcoming that fear.

“Now that I’m ’25,’ I feel like I’m at the top of my game,” he continued in between montages of street racing and tour footage. “All the bad shit I’ve been through, that’s why I am the way I am I always just kept my head high, staying 10 toes down … I know it’s light at the end of the tunnel.”

He added in the trailer’s caption, “WANNA SEE MY LIFE A MOVIE? PRESS PLAY. 25 THE ALBUM OUT JULY 2ND.” Fans also have the option to pre-save the forthcoming project.

Now that numerous big markets are out of the NBA playoffs, we have seen various celebrities pop up in cities you wouldn’t expect them to spend time in. The best example of this is Milwaukee where the Bucks are currently in the Eastern Conference Finals. After losing Game 1 to the Atlanta Hawks, the Bucks came through with a massive blowout win in Game 2 on Friday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a tremendous first half and with his team up by 40 in the second half, he was taken out of the game for the entire fourth quarter.

Chance the Rapper was in attendance for the game and he could be seen sitting courtside as the Bucks played their best game of the postseason. Afterward, Chance got to meet Giannis near the Bucks locker room where he offered a congratulatory message to the Greek Freak.

“Thank you for that show, man. That was insane,” Chance said per USA Today. Chance certainly has a point as Giannis and the Bucks seemed like men on a mission after losing Game 1. Giannis has never been to the NBA Finals and he seems as motivated as ever to get there.

With the series heading back to Atlanta, we will certainly see plenty of big names in attendance, and it should make for an interesting atmosphere.

It certainly is odd to see the world’s richest man, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, sue someone over relatively small amounts of money. However, it happened just this week as news broke that Bezos is suing his girlfriend’s brother, Michael Sanchez, for allegedly hiding his assets to avoid paying Bezos. Sanchez had become indebted to the Amazon CEO last year after he lost a defamation case against Bezos. In the case, Sanchez asserted Bezos lied when accusing the brother of leaking intimate texts between Bezos and his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. Michael was ordered to pay Bezos’ over $250,000 in legal fees after the case was thrown out. 

“The world has been accusing Mr. Bezos of not paying his fair share of taxes, exploiting Amazon employees, and spreading fake conspiracy theories about the future king of Saudi Arabia. You can now add bullying his future brother-in-law to the list,” Sanchez’s lawyer Michael Warren told TMZ. Bezos claims that after Sanchez lost the defamation case, he transferred ownership of his $2.5 million home to a fake company in an attempt to cover up his wealth.

“Nevertheless, earlier this week, Mr. Sanchez authorized his team to coordinate with Mr. Bezos’ counsel concerning payment of the judgment. Had Mr. Bezos’ attorneys bothered to reach out to Mr. Sanchez’ counsel before filing a lawsuit against him, they would have known that to be the case,” Michael Warren continued.

Bezos is holding his ground against potential future brother-in-law, even if the reward is only a tiny fraction of the CEO’s wealth. Bezos should have other things on his mind as he prepares for his July 20th trip into space.

On Friday (June 26), hundreds and thousands of people across the United States and the world tuned in to Derek Chauvin’s sentencing. The former Minneapolis cop who is responsible for the death of George Floyd, which was one of the titular cases of racialized police violence that sparked mass protests across the country, received a 22 1/2 sentence after being found guilty on all three charges. 

Reactions to his sentence were polarized. While some applauded prosecutors for making sure justice was secured for George Floyd, others criticized the brief 22-year sentence Chauvin received for murder. One such critic is Boosie Badazz, who took to Twitter to make it clear he did not agree with Chauvin’s sentencing.

“22 YEARS WTF HE WILL BE HOME [IN] 5-7 YEARS GOOD BEHAVIOR !!” penned Boosie on Friday shortly after the conclusion of the sentencing hearing. “F*CK THAT JUDGE HE SAID F*CK GEORGE FLOYD WITH THAT SENTENCING. F*CK THE JUSTICE SYSTEM !! THAT RACIST B*TCH [IN] HIS CELL SMILING RIGHT NOW #hopefully a inmate will…” 

He continued in subsequent tweets, “[IN] DID YALL SEE CHAVELIN UGLY ASS MOMA UP THERE #b*tch GO HOME!! IT’S YO FAULT TOO HE CAME OUT YOU P*SSY. I KNOW YALL SAW THAT FAKE ASS ACTING ROLE SHE PUT UP THERE #BoldandtheBeautiful MOMA U DID YO THANG #uglyassb*tch #f*ckyoson.”

Elsewhere, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles mother Tina Knowles-Lawson spoke out about her disappointment with the amount of jail time given to Derek Chauvin during Friday’s sentencing hearing. “Very Disappointing!!” wrote the 67-year-old fashion designer on Instagram.

“My Godson was sentenced to 20 years for 2 ounces of marijuana he has been In Jail for 11 years. This man convicted of three charges He Murdered This man on TV before the world. And will only serve 15 ! The system has to change!” she finished.

One of the most prestigious sporting events of the year is the Tour De France. The entire event takes place over 21 days and it sees some of the best cyclists in the world take part in a test of endurance that comes with a massive prize for the winner. Winning the Tour De France is no small task and there are many things that can go wrong along the way.

Today marked the very first day of the Tour De France and with COVID cases on the decline, the route was packed with fans who were on each side of the road. Unfortunately, one fan got a little too overzealous and ended up on the course as they looked to show off their sign for some air time. As you can imagine, this didn’t go over well for the fan, or the riders for that matter, as there was a huge pile-up as a direct result of the fan’s actions. It was one of the biggest crashes in Tour De France history and many fans are livid at what went down.

Numerous Tour De France favorites were involved in the crash and some cyclists even had their bikes busted up. Any cyclist who was following the initial crash ended up as part of the pile-up and it remains to be seen whether or not some of these guys can grind their way back near the top of the leaderboard.

While the first day has been eventful, it’s getting publicity for all of the wrong reasons.
