Logic And Madlib Return With ‘Raddest Dad,’ Their Second Single As MadGic

Following a decade in which he released six albums and six mixtapes, Logic called it quits after releasing his 2020 album No Pressure, which was a sequel to his debut, Under Pressure. The rapper’s retirement led to interviews in which revealed why he stepped away from the game, a mostly one-sided spat with Joe Budden, a seven-figure deal with Twitch, and more. But last month he changed his mind, forming a new duo with legendary producer Madlib called MadGic. After dropping their first track, “Mars Only Pt. 3,” in April, the pair returns with “Raddest Dad.”

On the new effort, Logic raps over Roc Marciano’s 2013 Madlib-produced track “The Sacrifice.” At the end he speaks about his alleged retirement. “I mean I retired, but I’ve been making music every single day since I retired because I love it,” he says. “And then I think what I realized was that I don’t like the industry. So I think I want to retire from the industry. That’s why I wanna do this music for free.” He adds, “Sometimes I wanna come back, but I don’t know if I should come back. I mean if I did I’d want to be independent. That’d be pretty cool.”

They teased a potential MadGic full-length on “Mars Only Pt. 3,” with Logic rapping, “Made this whole album in a lockdown, hip hop is our town / Hairline like Doc Brown but I’m killin’ it.”

You can listen to “Raddest Dad” in the video above.

Chief Keef’s Nike Air Force 1-Inspired “Glory 1’s” Sell Out Online

Chief Keef is one of the most influential artists of the last decade and his fans are always looking forward to his next moves whether they be in music or even fashion. On his Glo Gang website, Chief Keef has delivered a ton of Glory Boyz merch over the years, and now, he is getting into the sneaker game thanks to what has been dubbed the “Glory 1’s.” In the images below, you can see that the shoe bears resemblance to the infamous Nike Air Force 1 Low although instead of a swoosh, we get the words “Glory” and “Boyz” written on the side.

Yesterday, Keef released the “Glory 1’s” in two iconic colorways: all-white and all-black. In the end, the white sneakers sold out instantly, all while adult sizes of the black shoe sold out as well. If you are interested in the black pair, you can cop them in kid’s sizes, for $225 USD.

Needless to say, Chief Keef’s very first foray into sneakers has actually worked out quite well for him and it will be interesting to see if he decided to come through with any more colorways in the near future.

Soulja Boy Recounts Witnessing Drake’s Painful Fall On Stage

It was over 10 years ago when Drake was a babyfaced freshman in the game, Lil Wayne was still reigning supreme, and hip-hop was shifting in a new direction. In a post-Tha Carter III-world, Wayne was hosting shows in massive stadiums and arenas on several tours but nothing quite summed up the latter half of the mid-aughts like the America’s Most Wanted tour which boasted acts like Jeezy and Soulja Boy for the line-up.

The tour had many memorable moments but perhaps it was Drake’s infamous fall that re-injured his leg, causing the Canadian rapper to undergo surgery. During our recent interview with Soulja Boy, he reflected on that particular moment on tour when he was asked which memory stood out to him the most.

“Man, when Drake broke his fucking ankle! That n***a broke his leg or some shit. I didn’t know what the fuck was going on! I was like, ‘What the fuck? The n***a Drake was on stage rapping and this n***a slipped or some shit and broke his whole ankle,” he recounted. ” It ain’t funny, man. Drake gon’ see this and get mad at me. See how they do me, Drake, in these interviews. That’s what really happened, though. You really slipped and broke your shit, bro. I don’t know. He was really in a wheelchair! He was already in a wheelchair on the TV show, then he slipped onstage and he was in a — I was like, ‘what the fuck?’”

Drake’s issues with his leg have remained a burden over the past decade of his career. Last fall, the rapper, once again, had to undergo surgery which delayed the release of Certified Lover Boy.

“Aye, but it’s not funny, though but he’s okay. He was okay. He got up and walked away. Shout out to Drake. Damn, why that have to be one of the memories? But that was one of the memories. We was all like, ‘What the fuck? This n***a Drake just fell on stage.’ He really fell, though. I don’t know if he slipped on some ice or some shit,” he explained. “That n***a slipped hard as hell. That shit went viral before viral.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Draco explained why he’s always going at Drizzy, in reference to the “What’s Next” rapper’s shout out to Bow Wow earlier this year. “I was just poking a little fun. Having a little fun, like, ‘C’mon, man. You know what’s going on Drake. Stop playing with me, boy.’ But it’s all love. Shout out to Drake and to Bow Wow,” he said.

Lakers’ Ben McLemore Uninjured Following Single Car Crash

Ben McLemore has been a solid addition to the Los Angeles Lakers roster this season and there have been some moments in which he’s come up huge. Perhaps the best example was just last month as the Lakers defeated the Brooklyn Nets with LeBron James or Anthony Davis. McLemore shined in that game and as the Lakers head to the playoffs, they are excited to see what he can do while coming off the bench.

According to TMZ, McLemore, unfortunately, got into a car accident on Thursday morning just hours after his team beat the Golden State Warriors in the play-in round. The car crash took place in Playa Vista, California after McLemore accidentally stepped on the gas instead of his breaks. Luckily, the NBA player was uninjured and his vehicle was the only one involved.

Based on the report, McLemore was given a sobriety test which he ended up passing immediately. In the end, it was simply an unfortunate accident that tends to happen on the road from time to time. He was not ticketed, nor was he arrested for what happened.

Car accidents can always be scary, and we are happy that McLemore is doing okay. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the NBA.

Police Sued After Mistaking Ashes Of Black Man’s 2 Year Old Daughter For Drugs: Report

The Springfield, Illinois police department is under heavy fire. Police bodycam footage and a controversial lawsuit have both hit the media, and people are expressing their grief for Dartavius Barnes. Barnes can be seen in bodycam footage, which begins with him already cuffed in the backseat of a police car. The cops can be seen taking marijuana from his vehicle. The police also claim that they tested a substance in a jar that came back positive as meth, to Barnes’ shock. He then repeatedly asks the police to show him what they tested. Finally, the cops bring him the sample.

Immediately you can hear the anguish in Barnes’ voice as he pleads, “No, no, no, bro, that’s my daughter!” After reassuring the police, who appear to know him, the cops say they will test it again. “Please give me my daughter” begs Barnes as the police officer goes to speak with his superiors about the situation. “It did look like it field-tested for meth” says the officer, sounding much less sure about this “test” at this point. Possibly seeing the error in the situation, the officer says he will give the remains to Barnes’ father, who can be heard (and seen) standing up for his son. You can later hear one cop saying that he was present when the coroner told him his daughter had passed, which is how he knows Barnes and can confirm the story is true.

Barnes’ daughter was two years old, and passed away last year due to neglect. She was found wrapped in a urine-soaked blanket and malnourished. The child’s mother, T’wanka Davis, and Davis’ boyfriend were found guilty of murder and were both sentenced to decades in prison. Barnes is not suing the police, saying that they opened the urn and spilled his daughter’s contents. “I’m just going to give him a notice to appear on the weed,” you can hear one cop say. in the video. Another responds, “Aside from pissed off dad and testing the dead baby ashes.” A jury trial is scheduled for August 2022 for the lawsuit.

The Alchemist Says He Hid Album On YouTube Under Different Moniker

The Alchemist has been in the midst of an incredibly prolific run these past few years. His catalog stems back to the 90s but his recent releases have been a testament to his timeless sound, especially after working with the current heavyweights in rap. Despite the acclaim and accolades, Alc’ maintains a mysterious presence in the game. So much so that fans are in the midst of scouring through the internet for a lost tape, of sorts.

The legendary producer dropped a bombshell on his fans this morning revealing that he and another unnamed artist released an album under a fake name under a completely different YouTube page that no one has yet to discover. “We hid a whole album on youtube under a fake name and youtube page . Fake album cover, song titles, the whole 9. Nobody found it yet,” he tweeted.

Fans immediately started tweeting links in the replies, though there are certainly a large amount of them who were simply trying to finesse his fans into checking out their music.

It appears that the project in question was first teased as a collaborative effort with Earl Sweatshirt over two years ago. A fan dug up a tweet from Jan. 2019 where The Alchemist responded to a fan who asked when they would be able to get a collaborative body of work with Earl. “We did one and dropped it already under a fake name. Youtube. Go find it. You are the one,” he wrote.
