Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Beluga” To Receive Reflective Reboot

When Kanye West came out with the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in 2016, it was an immediate hit. The very first colorway to be released was the “Beluga” offering which featured a two-toned grey upper that featured the infamous zebra stripes all the way throughout. From there, we had a large orange stripe along the side which was noticeable from long distances. This was a shoe that got ripped off by various other brands and you couldn’t walk a mile without seeing fakes on someone’s foot.

With the five-year anniversary of the shoe coming this Fall, it would appear as though it will be making a comeback, this time in a reflective offering. According to Yeezy Mafia, fans can expect the shoe’s grand return to take place amid the Holiday season, with sizes dropping for the entire family. This should be some exciting news for all of the sneakerheads out there, especially when you consider how this shoe was an instant classic upon release.

For now, the exact release date has not been announced, so be sure to keep it locked to HNHH as we will bring you all of the latest information. In the meantime, let us know if this is a shoe you plan on copping.

Russ Reunites With Rexx Life Raj On The Romantic Duet, ‘Private’

Over the years, Russ and Rexx Life Raj have developed an easygoing and prolific creative chemistry, with Rexx appearing on Russ’s “On 10” and Russ returning the favor to appear on Rexx’s Father Figure 3 track “Falling.” Now, it’s back to Russ on the newly released “Private,” which Russ initially planned to release back in 2019 or 2020. However, the breakout success of his song “Best On Earth” with Bia — which caught the attention of Rihanna, among others — meant pivoting to work that record instead. Fortunately, as an independent artist, Russ is completely in control of his own release schedule.

The previously shelved song has a light melody, employing soft organs and keys as the backdrop for a romantic entreaty on which Russ raps and Raj sings, wisely splitting their shared talents between them to avoid cluttering up the track. It works as their prior collaborations have because it plays to both artists’ major strength: Emotive storytelling that doesn’t feel forced or corny — as seen on Russ tracks like “Hard For Me” and “Bankrupt” and Rexx Life singles “Built For Everything” and “Your Way” with Kehlani.

While Russ hasn’t mentioned any new projects in the works, he’s clearly got a backlog of strong songs just waiting for a home — even if he’s never truly embraced a traditional release format. Meanwhile, Rexx just released a three-song set of his own, which you can check out here.

Lil Nas X, Demi Lovato, And Others Helped Pay Tribute To Elton John At The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Elton John has achieved a lot during his lengthy and illustrious career, so he was a natural choice to be given the iHeartRadio Icon Award at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards last night. iHeartRadio went all out with honoring the legend, too, as they pulled out all the stops.

The award was presented to John by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who ran through some comedic fake facts about John. Lil Nas X then joined in to pay tribute. After the award presentation, there was a tribute performance from Demi Lovato, HER, and Brandi Carlile. HER started by playing “Bennie And The Jets’ at a piano, when then segued into Carlile performing “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.” Lovato wrapped things up with a rendition of “I’m Still Standing,” and John himself even joined in during the song’s climax.

Ahead of the performances, John also gave an acceptance speech and thanked the aforementioned artists for paying tribute to him. He also spoke about how stunned he was by American radio early in his career, saying, “When I first came to Los Angeles in 1970, radio was so important. I’d never heard radio in America before because I had never been here before, but it was just incredible to me. In England, we had one station. Over here, you’d have music coming out of the radio in all sorts of formats, all sorts of styles… I was a pig in sh*t, basically.”

Flo Milli Snubbed In Key BET Awards Category, Fans Explode

The nominations were announced for the 2021 BET Awards on Thursday and fans were outraged about one specific category. While Yung Bleu may be pissed off about being snubbed in the Best New Artist category, hip-hop fans voiced their displeasure with the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category after some artists, namely Flo Milli and the City Girls, were left out of consideration for the award.

Among the women nominated for the award are Cardi B, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Coi Leray, and Saweetie. People on social media were quick to throw accusations against BET, calling out the network for alleged colorism after snubbing Flo Milli and City Girls.

The only explanation for Flo Milli being left out is colorism bc it’s def not a lack of talent,” wrote a disgruntled fan on Twitter, getting over 2,500 retweets and 13,000 likes. “Coi being nominated for BET Female Hip Hop award before FloMilli & City Girls is deff colorism,” said another person, earning 22,000 likes on the post. “Also where’s KenTheMan? Yung Baby Tate?”

On Thursday evening, Flo Milli’s name was trending on the social platform as fans discussed the possible reasons why she was left out of this category despite being nominated for Best New Artist. Flo is only nominated for that one award. Meanwhile, City Girls were only nominated for Best Group.

Check out some tweets below about the snubs. Do you think Flo Milli deserved more recognition during the nomination ceremony?

LeBron James Says Future Belongs On Rap’s Mount Rushmore For 2010’s

The Mount Rushmore of [blank] has become a common discussion people like to use to establish who are the best or most important figures of a certain field. For instance, earlier this week, RapCaviar sent out a tweet asking fans who belongs on rap’s Mount Rushmore of the last decade, in which they included the Big 3 of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole for us. Hard to argue their case, fans had spent the last day naming the 4th rapper that belonged in the picture. In fact, Nicki Minaj even took it as a slight jab as she commented “wow” in its response to her being presumably left off the list.

Well fast forward to today, and A&R king, LeBron James, is weighing in on the debate. According to King James, Future Hendrick should be the 4th rapper in the picture and on Mount Rushmore. King quote tweeted the original picture and simply wrote “Future Hendrix,” who we know he’s had an infatuation with over the years (see clip below).

While some may roll their eyes at LeBron’s opinion, we have to respect it. Future has had himself quite the run these past ten years, and LeBron has been at the fore front of the culture & sports during it.

What do you think? Is Future the best choice or do you have someone else on Mount Rushmore of 2010’s? Sound off in the comments.

Lakers Fans Chant “Kobe” During Massive Game 3 Victory

Last night was very special for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. For starters, it was LeBron’s first playoff game at the Staples Center, which seems fairly odd considering the success he has had with the team. Of course, this is because the Lakers and the rest of the league were forced to do the playoffs in the Orlando Bubble last season as a direct result of COVID-19. It was also a special night because it was the first playoff game at Staples since the passing of Kobe Bryant.

The energy in the building was palpable and the Lakers did not disappoint as they came through with a massive victory against the Phoenix Suns to take a 2-1 series lead against the second seed. At the end of the game, with the seconds running down, the Lakers faithful got on their feet and began to chant “Kobe,” leading to an incredible scene and atmosphere.

As the seventh seed, the Lakers have a difficult path to the NBA Finals although if they can knockoff the Suns early, then their path becomes that much easier, especially with teams like the Clippers struggling. With the Lakers faithful delivering such incredible energy, the purple and gold could be in store for yet another impressive deep run.

Adam Silver Speaks On Disgusting Fan Behavior

With fans making their way back to NBA arenas, there has been an uptick in incidents involving the fans and the players. Of course, the players have done nothing wrong here. Instead, it is the fans who are acting as though they are simply invincible. Wednesday night was a prime example of this as Russell Westbrook had food spilled on him all while Trae Young was spat on. It was a truly disgusting display by some of the league’s fans, and now, the league is looking to take action.

During a recent interview on the matter, NBA commissioner Adam Silver spoke about what could happen if fans continue to exhibit these behaviors. Needless to say, the league is not messing around and they are ready to ban people for life.

“Zero tolerance,” Silver said per NBC Sports. “No one is going to get away with an act like that. You’re going to be caught. You’re going to be banned from an arena. In some cases there may be criminal prosecution depending if the conduct rises to that level of an assault or something that the police are going to take note of.”

Hopefully, the fans begin to behave moving forward especially considering the possible punishments. At the end of the day, the league needs to protect the players otherwise things can get out of hand fast.

J. Cole Shares Message About Leaving BAL

J. Cole’s time in Rwanda as a member of the Patriots basketball club didn’t come without media fanfare. The world was excited to witness the rapper’s first foray into professional basketball, playing overseas for three games before fulfilling the terms of his contract. He ended up leaving the team due to “family obligations” but he voiced his gratitude for the opportunity to play on such a grand scale, sharing a final message to his fans in Africa.

“So many thank you’s are due,” said the North Carolina rapper, sharing a couple of photos with his teammates. “Thank you to @thebal and to @patriotsbbc for the opportunity.

Thank you to my teamates, the coaches and staff for treating me like family. I learned so much in the few weeks we were together. Congrats on that win tonight and good luck next game.

Thank you to @puma for supporting a dream from day 1, and getting me to Rwanda and back safely via Puma jet.

Thank you to the entire country of Rwanda and to the city of Kigali for hosting us. BEAUTIFUL land with BEAUTIFUL people. To anyone considering visiting or moving to the continent, from everything I saw and heard, I would recommend you consider Kigali and Rwanda in general.

Thank you to everybody that had kind words for me despite my inexperience.

I plan to get better.”

He concluded on that note, teasing a future in professional basketball as he will likely consider his next moves on the court. Scoring only a handful of points in his three outings off the bench, Cole’s debut wasn’t without criticism. Other members of the BAL, including AS Salé guard Terrell Stoglin, complained about Cole’s presence in the league, stating that he took a serious player’s job away by joining the Patriots.

Where do you think J. Cole will end up next and do you think he has a future in basketball?
