There Might Be No Greater Love Than That Of Rick Ross And His Horses

During an insightful interview in which Rick Ross reveals that his money-saving methods include flying commercial, antiquing, and mowing his own lawn (on a 325-acre property, to the tune of $1 million a year), the Miami rapper also shared his love for his horses. Asked by Forbes’ Michelle Hofmann what he does when he’s not recording, decorating, or working on business partnerships, Ross told her that his horses are his greatest passion, giving worthwhile advice that works in any number of situations.

“When I’m at home, that’s when I get to talk to my horses,” Ross shared. “I get to tell them what my week was like. I get to rub them on their noses and their heads. They love me. They try to kiss my ears. When they see me walk up to the gate, they stop doing what they’re doing and they trot to me like they are saying, ‘There he is. We hope he has carrots and apples.’ And I do. Remember, a boss always comes bearing gifts. You’ve gotta bear gifts.”

Interestingly enough, Rick Ross’s love for horses has fascinated fans on social media for years. At one point, his Snapchat content largely consisted of him feeding and petting his horses, and in 2016, a video of Ross struggling to mount one of them for a ride went viral.

YungManny Drops Vivid New Video For “Color Blind”

Fresh off of his previous track “Clap For Em,” YungManny has come through to drop a new single. On Tuesday, June 15th, the DMV rapper released the visuals for “Color Blind,” where he raps about how when it comes to his money and women, he sees no color. 

The opening lines of the song display YungManny’s signature sense of humor, which has often come to the forefront of his music. For example, before he spits the chorus and first verse, he prefaces, “I don’t see no color. I ain’t racist, like, If she bad then she bad, you hear me?” He proceeds to incorporate a wide spectrum of colors into his rhymes, a clever trend that adds a welcome conceptual edge to the banger.

Two 15-Year-Olds Charged For Shooting Mall Security Guard In Atlanta

Unfortunately in the United States, ever since restrictions put in place to ease the spread of COVID-19 have been lifted, the number of violent armed crimes has increased tremendously. A terrifying figure put the number of mass shootings in the country at a total of 272 in this year alone. 

In another heinous act of violence, two 15-year-olds in Atlanta have been charged for the shooting of a mall security guard at a popular shopping destination in the Buckhead area of the city on Sunday evening (June 13). The shooting left the security guard in critical condition. 

Reports from local news sources confirmed that officers were called to Lenox Square mall after reports of shots fired around 8:30 pm. When responding officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a security guard in his early 40s with a gunshot wound in his torso. Luckily, officers arrived in time and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Using witness testimonies and statements, officers were able to eventually locate the two suspects at the nearby Westin Buckhead Atlanta hotel. While it’s believed there were others involved in the situation, the two teens were more directly involved in the situation.

The two suspects were eventually detained and indicted on six charges including criminal attempt to commit murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18 and during the commission of a felony. 

“We don’t know the involvement of other folks but we have based at this particular point in time, we were able to confirm that those two individuals were significantly involved and those are the two we have in custody,” said Deputy Chief Timothy Peek.

Authorities added that the investigation is not over and they are currently looking for other people who may have been involved. The teens were detained less than 10 minutes after the incident, and authorities believe they were attempting to get into the closed Apple store. “Ultimately, they approached him with a gun, and so, from there, will tell us what transpired and what was going on,” Peek said.

The victim is currently in the hospital being treated for his injuries.

Amazon “Prime Day Show” Trailer Features Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish & H.E.R

The latest trailer for Amazon’s Prime Day Show features a few notable musical guests. H.E.R., Kid Cudi, and Billie Eilish are all a part of the lineup for Amazon’s three-day special event. The trailer gives audiences a look at what to expect from each artist as they take the stage.

Based on what’s revealed so far, H.E.R.’s performance experience looks to bring her signature elegance. Her segment of the special is set to take place in the classic Dunbar Hotel in Los Angeles, which closed down in the 1970s. The historic site will transform as a backdrop for the “Damage” singer during her portion of the Amazon special.

When Kid Cudi hits the screen, he intends to take the viewers on an out-of-this-world experience. Cudi’s performance will see the Man on the Moon III rapper teaming up with International Space Orchestra to deliver what looks to be a very unique experience. In the trailer, viewers can see Kid Cudi dripped in an orange NASA jumpsuit while his song “Tequila Shots” plays in the background.

Billie Eilish’s part of the three-day special will feature more cinematic elements. The “Ocean Eyes” singer looks to bring a Paris-based aesthetic to her performance. In the trailer, Eilish delivers a rendition of “Lost Cause,” while wandering many Parisian locations.

Chloe x Halle Drops Their “Waterfalls” TLC Cover

The last project the world heard from Beyoncé-signed duo Chloe x Halle was Ungodly Hour, released last year. They followed up with the deluxe version of the project at the top of this year, but have been busy with individual ventures to shift the focus back on solely music just yet.

Younger half of the duo Bailey has been in Europe filming a reboot of The Little Mermaid where she stars as Ariel, while Chloe Bailey has been busy becoming the internet’s new favorite it girl. Despite this, they dropped the loose single “Georgia On My Mind” in March, and have just followed up with a silky cover of TLC’s classic “Waterfalls.” 

“This song speaks so much to who we are as artists and human beings,” the duo says of the song. “We always say music is therapy to us because the lyrics are healing. There’s something about singing these words to yourself—it turns into an encouraging mantra that makes you feel inspired after listening.”

Charles Barkley Silenced By TNT: No More San Antonio Talk

Outspoken host of TNT’s Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley, criticized the network for taking innocent jokes too seriously during an interview on 106.7 The Fan. The former NBA player and TNT contributor has never been scared to speak his mind and often comes under fire for his opposing opinions, though now his words have caused workplace tension.

As Barkley states, he is now prohibited from speaking about the city of San Antonio on set after he made remarks about the weight of the women in the city.

In response to the silencing, Barkley is coming after the cancel culture-esque approach of the network. Clearly angry and frustrated, Barkley blasted the current media climate as boring and relishes in the fact that he’ll retire from media when he turns 60 in two years: “You can’t even have fun nowadays without these jackasses trying to get you canceled and things like that,” he vents, speaking with The Fan. “And then they can kiss my ass.”

“First of all, I didn’t call anybody personally fat in San Antonio, I was just joking around,” Barkley said in his defense. He continues to describe his surprise when the network confronted him,  as it’s not the first time the basketball legend has made such jokes: “we’ve been having fun with this for probably 10, 15 years!” He maintains that the people of San Antonio appreciated the running joke, even claiming that they “made t-shirts.”

Pooh Shiesty’s Alleged Shooting Victim Recants His Police Statement

The security guard Pooh Shiesty allegedly shot at Miami nightclub King Of Diamonds over Memorial Day weekend has reportedly recanted his police statement, claiming that he can’t remember what happened on the night of the incident, according to TMZ.

Pooh’s attorneys have filed a motion to grant the rapper a release from jail on bond with sworn testimony from the guard, Frivin Dor, claiming that he was given a powerful painkiller after the incident and was still feeling the effects when he talked to police. Pooh’s lawyers argue that this should be enough for prosecutors to consider throwing the case or at least granting the rapper the possibility of bail.

According to TMZ, in Dor’s new account, he attributes the club commotion to a cooling fan falling in a nearby garage. He says he doesn’t recall Sheisty aiming at him at all, despite his previous account and video from the night of that suggests that Shiesty shot someone. However, Dor supposedly doesn’t want to press charges or make any other statements.

Previously, the security guard alleged that he was shot trying to prevent Pooh Shiesty from firing at anyone else after the rapper was incensed by someone in the club trying to grab stray bills out of his pockets. While trying to calm him down, the guard says he was shot in the leg when the rapper spontaneously let off a round in anger. Shiesty was arrested last week after turning himself in.

Elon Musk To Sell Beloved San Francisco Mansion

Tech mogul and Tesla founder Elon Musk has been selling off his extensive real estate portfolio in recent months in order to concentrate focus on his new venture: Mars. The amassed portfolio, which includes high-profile homes like the one of late actor Gene Wilder, is worth over $100 million and has been selling easily- though Musk has held on to a certain San Francisco property longer than the others.

However, Musk seems to be letting go as the property is now listed back on the market for a whopping $37.5 million. The 16,000 square foot property just south of San Francisco has long been a favorite place for the world’s second-richest man.

He originally put the home, which he refers to as his “special place,” on the market with the rest of his portfolio last year — though it didn’t initially sell. He then took it off the market only to now announce he is attempting to sell it once again in a statement: “Decided to sell my last remaining house. Just needs to go to a large family who will live there. It’s a special place.” The property is the final home that Musk has yet to part with. 

The Tesla and SpaceX founder bought the home in 2017 for $23.4 million, and he says he often rented it out for special events. The house is over 100 years old and sits on 47 acres of land. 

Musk, now without his once substantial collection of properties, is looking to space as his new frontier.

SZA Talks “Manifesting” A Tyler, The Creator Collab

The world has been patiently awaiting SZA’s sophomore album ever since she concluded her CTRL era. Talking a long time away from music to focus on perfecting her next project to share with the world, she finally returned last summer with the lead single from her forthcoming project “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla Sign. 

She followed up with her smash hit “Good Days,” and is set to release the new album sometime this year. In the meantime, she’s set to fans to a virtual full-set performance in celebration of the fourth anniversary of her acclaimed debut project CTRL on June 17th. In a new interview with Complex, the songstress talked about how important manifestation is. She touched on speaking two major accomplishments into existence, namely a pledge from Travis Scott to join her for a long-awaited performance of “Love Galore” and a Tyler, the Creator collab.

Speaking candidly about how she was able to manifest a “Love Galore” performance with Travis on Twitter, she explained, “I’m very surprised. I just think he’s so cool. I just never imagined that someone would be down to do stuff, randomly. I still can’t even believe that I got him on the song and that he loves my music. I really am a super fan, like a genuine fan. It’s funny. It makes me really happy.”

When asked about how important manifestations have been for her, she divulged, “Like, I was talking about this song that got leaked on the internet yesterday. Well, it didn’t get leaked yesterday, but I was talking about it yesterday. It was this Jodie Foster song and it was over an old Tyler, the Creator beat from like 2016.”

She continued, “I was talking about it and Tyler called me yesterday to send me new stuff. And I was like, “That’s so random.” From the sounds of it, it seems the two beloved artists are working together on ~something.~ As of right now, however, its no telling when we’ll be getting the collab. 

As for Tyler, he shared a new teaser to his social media yesterday, likely signaling the start of his album rollout. With both SZA and Tyler potentially dropping this year, it leaves plenty of room for a collaboration between the two.
