“Gorilla Glue Girl” Tessica Brown Launches Haircare Line

Tessica Brown took to social media back in February to share her testimonial against using the adhesive Gorilla Glue for one’s hair. Social media erupted with loud reactions of disbelief including a tweet from Chance the Rapper.

‘Gorilla Glue Girl’ sustained her newfound social media clout by posting frequent updates on the status of her hair for her 675,000 Instagram followers. After her health was back intact just ten days after her initial video, Tessica turned her attention to making her fifteen minutes of fame last.

In March, Tessica announced she was expecting a baby and shared her struggles with a pregnancy condition throughout the recent months. Nevertheless, Tessica seems to remain in high spirits, posting dancing TikToks and storytimes to generate exposure for her page.

The big question around the 40-year-old’s decision to use a construction product in place of hairspray was “Why?” —  and now she has provided a possible answer.

The ‘Forever Hair’ brand  — a name play on her former semi-permanent hairdo — launched on Wednesday. Tessica claims her products were perfect for healing her head damaged from Gorilla Glue’s harmful ingredients. On her Instagram story, she shows off her newly-grown-in hair for the first time on her page, crediting all the growth to ‘Forever Hair’ products. The first product lineup includes a hair growth oil, edge control, and the product that she ironically needed herself, hairspray.

The products are available for sale here.

Rizzoo Rizzoo & Stunna 4 Vegas Team Up On “Learn From Boosie”

Boosie Badazz has lived one hell of a life for someone who’s only 38 years old. He beat a murder charge, was sentenced to prison during the height of his career, got shot, and continues to keep a smile on his face and the faces of his fans across the world, all while remaining as solid as possible.

Today, Rizzoo Rizzoo and Stunna 4 Vegas share a brand new single celebrating the lessons they’ve learned from Boosie over the years. “Learn From Boosie” is an ominous banger that has the two rappers reflecting on growing up in poverty, overcoming the odds, and staying true to the code. “I learned from Boosie we don’t talk ’bout it ’til it’s done/ I stacked up that bread for all them nights when it was crumbs,” Rizzoo raps on the record. Stunna 4 Vegas comes through with his typical high energy, though he decreases his levels of intensity compared to usual.

Nick Cannon & Abby De La Rosa Welcome Twins, She Reveals Names

The latest Cannon babies have reportedly been born. There has been quite a bit of conversation about Nick Cannon in recent months as the media mogul has stacked up a stream of baby mamas. In the middle of April, DJ Abby De La Rose and Cannon confirmed that they were expecting twins. “Thank you for choosing me to be your Mommy. I know the Lord has destined me and prepared me for the gift of not one but two little angels,” De La Rosa shared on Instagram

“Your Dad & I will always be here for you both; in complete unison and support.” This (June 16) afternoon, Abby wiped her Instagram clean to share the first images of Baby Cannons while revealing the boys’ names.

Kenny Mason Bikes Through The Neighborhood With Friends In His Grainy Video For ‘Play Ball’

Kenny Mason continues to thrive as a talented genre-bending act, and with festival season around the corner — and with smaller concerts making a return, too — the Atlanta rapper is destined to have a great summer. Before all that, Mason returns with a new video for “Play Ball,” a track housed on his most recent project Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut. The video finds him accompanied by his friends as they take a leisurely bike ride through a neighborhood. The track’s gritty production serves as a nice juxtaposition with the serene landscape they ride in.

In addition to “Play Ball,” Mason has in recent months also dropped videos for “Pup,” “4ever,” and “Much Money.” All three can also be found on Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut, which he released back in April to commemorate the one-year anniversary on his debut album, Angelic Hoodrat. The new edition came with additional features from Freddie Gibbs, Denzel Curry, Angel White, and Ambar Lucid.

As for what’s next, Mason is preparing to hit the road for festival season. Mason has locked in sets at this year’s upcoming Rolling Loud Miami, Lollapalooza, Music Midtown, Firefly, and HIVE Music festivals.

You can watch the video for “Play Ball” above.

Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut is out now via RCA. Get it here.

Freddie Gibbs is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kojey Radical Makes A Statement On “2FS/Woohaa”

If you’ve been waiting on new music from Kojey Radical, then you’re in luck today. The UK rapper has returned with a double whammy with the release of “2FS” and “Woohaa.” The singles hail massive production from The Elements and The Fanatix who deliver summer smashes as we gear up fro the release of Kojey’s next album. The two singles are a taste of what he’ll be offering on his official debut album, though don’t expect to see these two on the tracklist.

“Hard food not fast food,” Kojey said of the singles. “The album is being prepared but I wanted to serve up something to hold the appetite. Eat up – this two are friendly reminders I can rap circles around your favourite as a snack. I’m a problem when I’m hungry.”

DDG Boasts About Being A GOAT, Announces YouTube Retirement

Every year, the XXL Freshman list gets Hip Hop fans talking. Those that are selected tend to celebrate the recognition while many artists who weren’t included vocalize their ire. Fans like to chime in as well, adding their two cents about who should and shouldn’t have made the cut, and DDG has taken the opportunity to boast about his successes.

DDG joins Coi Leray, Pooh Shiesty, Murray, Iann Dior, Lakeyah, 42 Dugg, Blxst, Rubi Rose, Toosii, and Flo Milli as the 2021 XXL Freshman class. He sent out a tweet where he listed off just a few of his recent accomplishments.

“How tf i go platinum, beat a n*gga ass in front of millions of people, Quit youtube & get on XXL freshman list in the same week,” tweeted the rapper. He closed out his brief message with a crying laughing emoji and a goat emoji. Of course, DDG drops a few references including his recent boxing match with Nate Wyatt and his announcement that he will no longer be making YouTube content.

It’s reported that the rapper deleted his videos and is making his music career his main goal for the time being. Check out DDG’s tweet and watch his explanation as to why he decided to hang up his YouTube hat below.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds To GOP Pundit Who Thinks “Thot Sh*t” Is About Them

Megan Thee Stallion has served up another banger for the upcoming Hot Girl Summer. “Thot Sh*t” was the new record she released on Friday and fans have had mixed feelings towards it. On one hand, it’s a catchy, upbeat record that’ll definitely be tearing the clubs up. On other hand, fans find it similar to some of her previous releases. For one politician, the criticism had nothing to do with its musicality but apparently, its direct attack on conservative pundits?

Random GOP politician DeAnna Lorraine apparently feels like she’s being targetted by the H-Town Hottie on “Thot Sh*t.” The former California Candidate for the U.S. House suggested the single was an attack on her and more widely, conservative politicians who bash her music. Lorraine previously said that Megan and Cardi B “set the entire female gender back by 100 years with their disgusting & vile ‘WAP’ song.” Now, she says she’s being attacked with text messages, calls, and emails from people who’ve apparently taken issue with the song.

While there might be a point to be made that “Thot Sh*t” is in response to conservative pundits and outlets criticizing Megan Thee Stallion’s work, it’s a far reach to consider it a diss song. As the article floated around the timeline today, Megan Thee Stallion quoted TMZ’s article and simply asked one question: “Who?”

“I only wanted to protect the well being of the players which ultimately is the PRODUCT & BENEFIT of OUR GAME! These injuries isn’t just ‘PART OF THE GAME’,” he added. “It’s the lack of PURE RIM REST rest before starting back up. 8, possibly 9 ALL-STARS has missed Playoff games(most in league history). This is the best time of the year for our league and fans but missing a ton of our fav players. It’s insane.”

Will Drake Be On Tyler, The Creator’s New Album?

It feels like it was decades ago when Drake was booed off of the Camp Flog Gnaw stage. The rapper formed the OVO x OF alliance formally when Tyler, The Creator personally invited him to perform at the festival. Tyler expressed his disappointment that Drake couldn’t even finish his set, citing the “shits in the front area” who were rude to his guest. While Drake later reflected on the incident on both social media and his interview with RapRadar, it seems that it didn’t affect the relationship between him and Tyler, The Creator.

Earlier today, Tyler, The Creator unveiled the first single off of his forthcoming album. “LUMBERJACK” is a flashback to Tyler’s early production style with a surprising cameo from DJ Drama. However, there was one line in particular that fans believe is about The Boy. A mention of a $1M conversation with Drizzy has sparked speculation on a potential collaboration between Tyler, The Creator and Drake.

N***as ain’t really on the type of shit he on/ I hit Drizzy and told him I got a milli for him (Oh shit),” Tyler raps on the record. While some speculated that this could mean that Tyler coughed up a ticket for Drake’s unfortunate festival performance, others think that Tyler dropped a bag for a verse that will appear on his forthcoming album. The two rappers have yet to collaborate but have shown each other a lot of respect for their crafts. Hopefully, this comes to fruition but so far, Tyler’s kept most information about his new project under wraps.

Check out some of the fan theories below and let us know what you think in the comments.
