Latto Checks Person Who Cracked “Overused” Joke About Her Mother Being White

She has a new, slightly altered name and has been climbing the charts, but with all her successes, Latto may be ready to settle down. She’s been releasing freestyles and hit collaborations, but one thing Latto hasn’t shared is the identity of her significant other. The rapper has teased that she’s happily in love, and as fans continue to try to figure out who the lucky person may be, Latto recently shared that she ready to tackle motherhood.

On Twitter, Latto wrote, “I wanna have a baby now but I got more plaques to hang, red carpets to walk, awards to win etc [sad crying emoji].” There wasn’t much to it, but a Twitter user reposted the tweet and added, “The White Side Coming Out.”

Latto reposted the exchange to her Instagram Story and didn’t understand how the two tweets were related. “This joke so overused [crying laughing emojis] what that gotta do w my mama being white??” the rapper asked. “I can say I want some cereal and mfs be like yOuR WHiTe sIdE iS sHOwInG.”

Her initial moniker caused a ruckus because people claimed she was using a racial slur, so Latto switched things up. However, that hasn’t kept people from making “jokes” about her background, and it seems that she’s over it.

Curren$y & T.Y. Leave A Cloud Of Smoke Behind On “Overhigh”

The Jet Life crew is always working. Curren$y is arguably one of the hardest working stoners in show business. His grind is entirely independent and he’s been able to uplift artists around him as well in his decade-plus long run. Fans might be hoping that a new album from Spitta, as well as other members of his label, will arrive in the near future. Fortunately, that seems to be the case and a project from Curren$y will be hitting streaming services this Friday.

Ahead of the project’s release, Curren$y slid through with a brand new single alongside T.Y. titled, “Overhigh.” The two rappers talk their shit over spacey trap production, detailing their work ethic and the lifestyle they lead through hard work.

Peep the track below.

Quotable Lyrics
Been cold, been in killa mode
Been on billboards collecting checks for those
Been buying Rolexes with those
Rode to Texas and back in my Rolls
I had to smoke about 20 cones

Trapboy Freddy & Lakeyah Have A Smash With “Buss It Open”

Strip clubs across the country took a massive hit during the pandemic but now since everything is opening back up, dancers are in need of some new bangers. Thankfully, Trapboy Freddy and Lakeyah served up exactly what was required for the amount of twerking that’s about to go down this summer. The Dallas rapper and Midwest MC delivered “Buss It Open” this week, a bass-heavy, Houston-influenced banger that’s certainly going to be in steady rotation this summer.

The release of the new single arrives shortly after Trapboy Freddy delivered, “Oakcliff” which samples a regional classic out of Dallas.

As for Lakeyah, she recently landed on the XXL Freshmen cover so, expect to see the Quality Control signee do some big things in the months ahead.

Quotable Lyrics
She go dumb
Look at her tongue
You can just my band, just don’t take my gun (don’t do that)
Lil bitch sexy
She think I’m messy
She like my necklace, talkin’ ’bout (Who that? Freddy?)

Britney Spears Pleads With Judge: “I Am Traumatized” Because Of Conservatorship

Since 2008, Britney Spears’s life has been under the control of her father, Jamie Spears, and her conservators. A judge ruled that the international superstar singer wasn’t able to manage her own career and personal life after Spears suffered mental health episodes. Way back then, Britney agreed that she needed help, but all these years later, the singer is finally vocalizing that the conservatorship that she’s been living under has kept her from doing just about anything.

The singer’s recent conservatorship hearing has caused Spears to trend across the internet as the “#FreeBritney” movement adds fuel to its fire. “I am traumatized,” she told a judge. “I want to end the conservatorship.”

Moments from Spears’s moving, yet scathing, speech has been shared around the world today (June 23), as the singer went after her father who has allegedly kept her under lock and key. “I’ve been in denial; I’ve been in shock; I am traumatized,” she said. “I just want my life back… I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don’t feel like I can live a full life.”

“I haven’t been back to court in a long time because I don’t think I was heard on any level when I came to court last time,” Spears explained as she pleaded for her conservatorship to end. “It’s embarrassing and demoralizing what I’ve been through, and that’s the main reason I didn’t say it openly. I didn’t think anybody would believe me.”

“I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told I can’t get married. I have an IUD [birth control] inside me but this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to remove it because they don’t want me to have any more children. This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good.”

“The last time I spoke to you, it made me feel like I was dead, like I didn’t matter, like you thought I was lying,” Spears told the judge. “I’m not lying, so that maybe you understand the depth and degree, I deserve changes.” The judge reportedly told the singer that they appreciated her passionate remarks. It’s unclear when Spears will receive a judgment on her next steps.

Britney Spears Says She Can’t Have A Baby Because Of An IUD Her Conservators Won’t Let Her Remove

On Wednesday, and for the first time in her 13-year conservatorship, Britney Spears directly addressed a judge in court. In her message, she asked that the court arrangement, which she claims has restricted her freedom, be terminated. This comes after months of court battles from the singer and her legal team as well as added attention to the case thanks to the documentary Framing Brintey Spears, plus the second wave of the #FreeBritney movement. Spears was very vocal during the hearing and gave several reasons as to why the conservatorship should come to an end. One example came when the singer revealed her conservators would not allow her to have a baby.

“All I want is to own my money … and for this to end … and for my boyfriend to be able to f*cking drive me in his car,” she said, according to the Rolling Stone. “And honestly … I want to be able to sue my family … I have an IUD in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out. I wanna be able to get married and have a baby.”

In regards to the overall conservatorship, Brintey said, “I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized. I just want my life back.” She also requested to have the conservatorship end “without having to be evaluated.”

J Balvin Partners With UPS For A Campaign In Support Of Latinx Small Businesses

Thousands of small businesses all over the country suffered a huge blow as a result of the pandemic. Some made it through; others were forced to close their doors. Now that the world is inching closer and closer to normal, J Balvin is doing what he can to lend a helping hand to Latinx-owned small businesses, thanks to a new campaign with UPS.

The Latin singer and the shipping company joined forces for the Proudly Unstoppable campaign. The announcement came with the release of “Juntos Imparables,” a new song the singer shared with the hopes of inspiring “people to work together and support their local businesses,” as he told Billboard. As for the new campaign, the singer said, “My early days in music felt very comparable to getting a small business off the ground, so I know what it means to start from scratch and chase your dreams.”

He added, “UPS is doing so much to help small businesses handle their logistics and grow. As individuals, we can only do so much but if we work together with our people, we’re unstoppable.”

In addition to the new song, UPS debuted a bilingual limited edition box series named “Challenges Are Our Fire,” designed by Mexican graphic designer and illustrator Luis Pinto. The series comes with 650,000 UPS medium-sized Express boxes and envelopes. UPS will also donate $150,000 to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) in order to give small businesses that were affected by the pandemic the financial support they need.

You can listen to J Balvin’s new song in the video above.

Master P Breaks Silence On No Limit’s Mac Receiving Parole

No Limit fans rejoiced at the news of Mckinley “Mac” Phipps Jr. finally receiving parole. The rapper was sentenced to 30 years in prison after he was convicted of manslaughter in the 2000 killing of 19-year-old Barron Victor Jr. in a nightclub. Mac has maintained his innocence, even after he was sentenced to prison time.

“I want to say thank you for this opportunity,” 43-year-old Phipps told the court after he was granted parole. “I definitely want to say I’m sorry to the family of the victim and to just anyone who was affected by this.” Phipps had served 21-years out of his 30-year sentence when the Louisiana Board of Pardons and Committee on Parole unanimously agreed to grant him a chance at being closer to freedom. So far, there hasn’t been a release date hasn’t been set.

Many fans expressed their excitement for Phipps’ potential release. Master P broke his silence on the ‘Gram yesterday when he shared a photo of Mac to celebrate the board granting the former No Limit rapper parole. “Welcome home soldier!” Master P wrote on the ‘Gram. “@macphippsofficial Let God guide you on this next chapter.”

Once a release date for Mac has been put in place, there will be a few guidelines that he has to follow. For one, he has a curfew in place between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m and won’t be allowed to enter places that serve alcohol. Additionally, he has to complete six hours of community service a week.

Coca-Cola Personalizes Labels & Approves Racist Messages, “BLM” Not Allowed: Report

The brand always unleashes something special for the summer months, but 2021’s Coca-Cola campaign is turning into an ultimate fail. Years ago, Coke’s “Share a Coke” promotion was all the rage, and after people found it too difficult to locate their names in stores, the company allowed the public to write any name they pleased.

This year, it seems that Coca-Cola opened things up to phrases but things went sideways when people noticed that certain words weren’t allowed by the company while racist, bigoted, or other controversial terms were.

It’s reported by CNN that people can write words like “White Lives Matter,” but “Black Lives Matter” isn’t allowed. You also can’t write words like “Hitler” or “Nazi” individually, but you can order “I am a Nazi” or “I am Hitler” on Coke bottles if you want. Coca-Cola included a bottle with a rainbow for Pride Month, but the public isn’t allowed to write “Gay Pride.”

When something isn’t allowed, a message comes up telling them to contact Customer Care if they think it’s a mistake, and the company has been flooded with messages.

“We’re continuously refining and improving our Share A Coke personalization tool to ensure it is used only for its intended purpose,” a Coca-Cola spokesperson told CNN Business. “Words or phrases that have appeared in the preview mode of the tool may not necessarily be approved, but rather are words we have not previously assessed. Actual bottles are not made with words that are inconsistent with the program’s intent. We have clarified in the tool’s preview mode that proposed language may require further review.”

Blueface’s Soul Food Restaurant Launched After His Car Was Stolen

While Blueface has seemingly been undergoing a sonic transformation with his recent releases, he’s also been getting his business right. Last year, the rapper launched his series on OnlyFans surrounding Blueface’s Bad Girls Club. However, his latest entrepreneurial venture is far more wholesome than the controversial show. Last week, he announced that he opened a soul food restaurant called Blue’s Fish & Soul.

Fans have been wondering how Blueface ended up becoming the owner of the only soul food restaurant in the Santa Clarita area. The rapper hopped on TMZ to explain the elaborate story that ended with the purchase of this new restaurant. The rapper said that it began when his car was stolen from the valet at the airport. “When I got back [from Miami], the valet acted like I never parked my car there so I’m like, okay. So I had to call the police and whatnot. Come to find out my car was stolen out of valet,” he explained.

Blueface immediately headed to the nearest Benz dealership to purchase another car. The Benz dealership just so happened to be up the street from the restaurant that he now calls Blue’s Fish & Soul.

“In the process of buying the car, I was hungry so I went this fish market and the guy was like, ‘Yo, I got somebody finna come buy it. I know you asked me about it.’ I’ve been there before and I asked him to buy in with him. I never asked him to fully take over,” Blueface recalled. “He’s like, ‘I know you asked me about it. I’m selling it. I got somebody coming right now to buy it.’ I was like, ‘call him and tell him no ’cause I finna pay you extra.'”

While having your car stolen is certainly a terrible experience, it turned out okay for Blueface.
