Scottie Pippen Calls Phil Jackson’s Toni Kukoc Play A “Racial Move”

Back in 1994, Scottie Pippen was forced to play without Michael Jordan for the very first time. Pippen was thrust into the superstar role for the Bulls and for the most part, they had a decent season. While they were eventually eliminated by the New York Knicks, there is no denying that Pippen had a formidable campaign without Jordan. However, his playoff run was sullied after a bizarre moment in the dying moments of a game in the Knicks series. Head coach Phil Jackson drew up a play that had Toni Kukoc taking the final shot. Kukoc went on to score the bucket although Pippen was so mad that he wouldn’t even play the dying seconds.

Now, in a new interview with GQ, Pippen is speaking out about the moment and he is still upset about it all. In fact, the NBA legend accused Jackson of drawing up a play that was racially motivated. Simply put, Pippen believes Jackson wanted a white European to get the glory.

“I don’t think it’s a mystery, you need to read between the fine lines. It was my first year playing without Michael Jordan, why wouldn’t I be taking that last shot?” Pippen said. “I been through all the ups and downs, the battles with the Pistons and now you gonna insult me and tell me to take it out? I thought it was a pretty low blow. I felt like it was an opportunity to give [Kukoc] a rise. It was a racial move to give him a rise. After all I’ve been through with this organization, now you’re gonna tell me to take the ball out and throw it to Toni Kukoc? You’re insulting me. That’s how I felt.”

This is certainly quite the accusation to make and throughout the interview, Pippen continued to voice his displeasure over the situation. The entire ordeal was documented in “The Last Dance” although Pippen feels like his side wasn’t properly heard. With this new interview, he has made a massive statement.

DaBaby Reposts Message About “Snake” Friends Amid Megan Thee Stallion Drama

A reposted message on Instagram has the public speculating once again. We’ve previously reported on the ongoing news regarding Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and DaBaby as things became tense in recent weeks. Megan and DaBaby were longtime friends and collaborators who have worked together on several singles, but when his feature on Lanez’s “SKAT” was revealed, she quietly unfollowed him on social media.

What unraveled was a brief online back and forth that eventually involved Megan’s boyfriend Pardison Fontaine who defended his lady, and after DaBaby returned the “unfollow” favor, everyone’s fanbases have been discussing the drama on social media.

Recently, Lanez reignited conversations when he mysteriously tweeted about “disloyalty,” and it looks as if DaBaby is adding fuel to the fire with a social media post of his own. Earlier today (June 24), the North Carolina rapper reshared a post by Philthy Rich that was uploaded to Cam Capone News‘s Instagram page. The message was about reconnecting with people who have done you dirty.

“Never re-friend a person that has tried to destroy your character, your money [moneybag emoji], or your relationships [handshake emoji]! A snake [snake emoji] only sheds its skin to become a bigger snake.. [one hundred emojis],” the post reads. DaBaby added, “DIE SLOW [crying laughing emoji],” above the post.

Of course, people believe DaBaby is sending a subliminal shot, but we’ll never know for sure unless he decides to tell the world. Check it out below.

Kevin Durant Claps Back At Scottie Pippen After Recent LeBron Comparison

After the Brooklyn Nets’ Game 7 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, numerous pundits and former players decided to sound off with some bizarre hot takes about Kevin Durant. Perhaps the most egregious take to be uttered came from Scottie Pippen, who said that LeBron would have found a way to win the series. Pippen believes Durant shouldn’t have been forcing himself to take the final shots and that LeBron would have made it a point to get his teammates involved during the dying seconds.

This hot take has been the subject of social media scrutiny as of late, and now, even KD himself is getting involved. After coming across a tweet that commented on Pippen’s remarks, Durant decided to dive into the replies with a reminder of one of Pippen’s past blunders.

“Didn’t the great Scottie pippen refuse to go in the game for the last second shot because he was in his feelings his coach drew up the play for a better shooter??” Durant asked. Fans immediately jumped on the comment with most of them taking KD’s side in the matter. However, there were still quite a few fans who took exception to the remarks, claiming that Durant needs to get off Twitter.

Durant has always been active on Twitter so it should come as no surprise that he decided to clap back at the slander. At this point, it would be out of character if he didn’t.
