Boosie Badazz Says Saweetie’s “Respectfully Justin” Interview Was Disrespectful

Another day, another segment from DJ Vlad’s latest interview with Boosie Badazz. The 32nd part of Boosie’s sensational interview — which has been slowly trickling out on YouTube since May — has officially been released, and during the new four-minute clip, Boosie and Vlad turn their attentions to Saweetie, specifically in regards to her controversial comments about having a threesome with Quavo and another man. Many Hip-Hop fans have theorized that those comments, which Saweetie said during an interview with her ex-boyfriend Justin Combs, was likely what led to Saweetie and Quavo’s split, and Boosie definitely appears to agree.

For reference, check out the post below, which features both Saweetie’s now-infamous interview on Respectfully Justin and Migos’ response to the rumors that they jumped Laboy following Quavo and Saweetie’s breakup.

It doesn’t take long after DJ Vlad brings the situation up for Boosie to give his honest opinion of Saweetie’s comments, and according to him, the “My Type” rapper was extremely disrespectful during her interview with Justin Combs and Justin Laboy.

“When you say that you disrespect him,” Boosie states. “You disrespect him in a whole ‘nother way, Vlad. You disrespect him in a whole ‘nother way when you say, ‘Another man,’ while your ex is right there — You’ve been triple crossed, bro.”

“You went on this show with your ex, a show that you know what gets talked about,” Boosie continues on later in the interview, criticizing Saweetie’s choice to even appear on Respectfully Justin. “It’s not a f*cking Days of our Lives. This is a show that talks about relationship things. You know you’re gonna be under fire, the questions you’re going to be asked. [So] no, you don’t direspect. You don’t do that.”

Listen to everything Boosie Badazz has on the matter by watching the latest clip from his interview with DJ Vlad below.

Johnson & Johnson Will Pay $230M to New York For “Fueling” Opioid Crisis

The opioid crisis in the United States has created a dire situation in many different regions across the country. Areas like Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York have been particularly hit by the epidemic, which has almost normalized the appearance of needles in the streets as substance-dependent individuals look to get their fix elsewhere.

The situation has become so dire that Johnson & Johnson has agreed to a $230 million settlement with New York that will bar the company from promoting opioids, and cease the distribution of the drugs within the nation. The settlement arrives after years of lawsuits by different states, cities, and countries against Big Pharma companies over the opioid crisis, which has killed nearly 500,000 people in the U.S. in the last few decades.

New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office revealed in a statement on Saturday (June 26) that the agreement bans J & J from promoting opioids through any means and prohibits lobbying these products at the federal, local, or state levels. Furthermore, as part of the settlement, the company will resolve opioid-related claims and allocate payments over the course of nine years.

They may also be required to pay an additional $30 million more in the first year if the state executive chamber signs new legislation creating an opioid settlement fund. Johnson & Johnson has notably not marketed opioids in the country since 2015 and eventually discontinued business in 2020.

Governments across the country have been arguing for years that Big Pharma companies over-prescribed the drugs, which caused people to become addicted and forced them to abuse other illegal forms of opioids to satisfy their fix. The companies have held that they distributed the necessary amount of products.

“The opioid epidemic has wreaked havoc on countless communities across New York state and the rest of the nation, leaving millions still addicted to dangerous and deadly opioids,” James said in a statement.  “Johnson & Johnson helped fuel this fire, but today they’re committing to leaving the opioid business — not only in New York, but across the entire country,” she added. “Opioids will no longer be manufactured or sold in the United States by J&J.”

In a statement Saturday, Johnson & Johnson said the settlement “is not an admission of liability or wrongdoing by the company” and is “consistent with the terms of the previously announced $5 billion all-in settlement agreement in principle for the resolution of opioid lawsuits and claims by states, cities, counties and tribal governments.”

Comparatively, the conglomerate is worth around $435 billion.

DJ Drama Explained How Working With Tyler The Creator On A ‘Gangsta Grillz’ Project Was Unique

Tyler The Creator shared his sixth album, Call Me If You Get Lost, on Friday. The project is his first full-length release since 2019’s Igor which went on to win Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammys. While all of Tyler’s projects are unique, Call Me If You Get Lost was special in its own sense thanks to contributions from DJ Drama. The present-day record executive is also known for backing several key mixtapes in the 2000s through his Gangsta Grillz series and to the delight of fans, Call Me If You Get Lost was made to sound like a project from that era.

During an interview with Complex’s Andre Gee, Drama was asked how working with Tyler on his new album differed from past acts he collaborated with in the Gangsta Grillz series.

“Normally in these types of situations, if I do a Gangsta Grillz with somebody, they compile their music together and hand it over to me, and then I’ll go in on my own without them and do my thing and return the finished product,” he replied. “With Tyler, it was a little different: I came in, gave him an abundance of things—even more than what I had originally placed—and just gave him enough material to choose from and layer it out.” He added, “It has that Gangsta Grillz feel, but this is Tyler’s album. I wanted to relinquish some of the control and let him do what he always dreamed about.”

Altogether, Call Me If You Get Lost presents 16 songs with features from Frank Ocean, 42 Dugg, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Uzi Vert, Pharrell, NBA Youngboy, Lil Wayne, Teezo Touchdown, Domo Genesis, Brent Faiyaz, Daisy World, and Fana Hues

Call Me If You Get Lost is out now via A Boy Is a Gun/Columbia. Get it here.

Urban Meyer Gives An Update On Trevor Lawrence’s Development

Trevor Lawrence was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft and Jacksonville Jaguars fans are very excited to see what he’s able to do in the league. On Day 1 of the NFL season, Lawrence is expected to be the starter although as it stands, head coach Urban Meyer has yet to make a concrete decision. Simply put, Meyer wants to make sure that Lawrence has progressed enough before throwing him into a situation that he may or may not be ready for.

Recently, Meyer admitted that as of today, Lawrence is not ready to be the starter Week 1. Of course, Meyer noted that this is normal and that Lawrence is performing above expectations right now. There is still a lot of time before the season, and there is a lot of optimism surrounding the QB.

“He’s not ready yet, but he doesn’t have to be ready yet,” Meyer said per reporter Mackenzie Salmon. “We got a long training camp coming up. He’s probably advanced maybe a little quicker than we would’ve thought, so which was a positive. One thing that we worked on — when we made a decision that Trevor was going to be our No. 1 pick, we went from the evaluation stage to the preparation stage. And that means that I want to see — I can’t remember the exact date, but we started installing the playbook with him well before the draft. So you can see the retention, he’s got a really good work ethic and he’s progressed very well.”

Lawrence is expected to be the franchise QB of the future and if he has himself an impressive rookie campaign, Jaguars fans will have a lot to be excited about for years to come.

My world is finally complete.” Family, friends, and fans filled the comment section with congratulations- even Shaw, Ne-Yo’s ex, congratulated them.

Ne-Yo announced that Crystal was pregnant in February with an endearing Instagram post captioned “Overjoyed to announce…the family is expanding…,” adding that it may be his last with the hashtag “5thandFinal”.

The couple was set to get divorced late last year, but eventually settled their issues. The couple cited quarantine as a saving grace for their relationship. During an episode on The Talk, the singer admitted: “Before the quarantine happened, we were definitely talking divorce, and the quarantine kind of forced us to sit still, block out the noise from the world, you know the world can get very, very loud, and we tend to let the world’s opinion mean more in certain situations than it should.”

Though the singer had filed the divorce papers, they were quickly rescinded.

Congratulations Ne-Yo and Crystal! Check out the announcement below.

Collapsed Condo Building In Miami Had ‘Major Structural Damage,” Notes A 2018 Report

Earlier this week, disaster struck in Miami-Dade County after a 12-story beachfront condominium partially collapsed. The terrifying incident has resulted in the deaths of at least four people, with a whopping 159 individuals still missing. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has reportedly issued a state of emergency in the county.

As officials in Miami work tirelessly to try and recover the remaining individuals, theories as to what caused the fatal collapse have been swirling around. Atorod Azizinamini, Chair of the FIU College of Engineering and Computing’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, explained to NBC Miami that experts are searching for signs of corrosion, unusual events, and more. According to a 2018 report obtained by TMZ, however, the building was an accident waiting to happen.

The city of Surfside, which is where the tragic incident occurred, recently released a number of documents related to the building and its architectural history. One report included in the documents from engineering firm Morabito Consultants found “major structural damage” to a concrete structural slab below the building’s pool deck. The waterproofing had been laid flat as opposed to being laid at an angle, which would help drain water from the building.

Morabito Consultants thought this needed to be addressed, something that would require costly and extensive repairs. The engineers predicted that if this issue wasn’t resolved, bad things could come. “The failed waterproofing is causing major structural damage to the concrete structural slab below these areas,” they wrote.

They added, “Failure to replace the waterproofing in the near future will cause the extent of the concrete deterioration to expand exponentially.” Elsewhere, the report also found “abundant cracking and spalling” in the concrete columns, beams, and walls in the parking garage. Additionally, the cracks had allegedly been repaired pretty carelessly.

While there’s no clear correlation as to whether this is what caused the building to collapse, residents may very well feel that way. Biden has already pledged federal help to aid in recovering the remaining victims.

French band Justice Says Justin Bieber’s ‘Justice’ Album Artwork Was A ‘Very Conscious Rip-Off’ Of Their Logo

The battle between Justin Bieber and French dance duo Justice continues. The latter sent a cease-and-desist letter to the singer earlier this year claiming that the logo on Bieber’s album was a copied version of the duo’s own logo. Three months after the letter was sent to Bieber, Justice’s Gaspard Augé spoke about the issue in a interview with The Guardian.

“Though Bieber is from Canada, his actions fit this mindset of American hegemony: ‘Oh well, it’s just a small band from France, I’m sure we can take their name, nobody will care…’” Augé said during the interview. “Obviously, we don’t own the word ‘Justice’ and we don’t own the cross. But [Bieber’s] management got in touch first to ask where our logo came from, so it’s not some unhappy coincidence. To me, it’s a very conscious rip-off. And that’s where the problem is.”

It was first revealed that Bieber reached out to the French duo after Justice’s co-manager made the reveal at the time of the cease-and-desist letter. “Through your illegal co-opting of the Mark, you are now subject to immediate legal action and damages including, but not limited to, punitive and injustice relief,” the letter read. “Not only was Bieber’s team actually aware of Justice’s use of the Mark, they sought to use the same artist to essentially duplicate it for the Album. This is textbook bad faith and willful infringement.”

Investigation Opened Into Use Of Force During South Carolina Arrest

After two nights of peaceful protests, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has been asked to conduct an official investigation into the Wednesday arrests of Ricky and Travis Price. The arrests were streamed on Facebook Live by a nearby onlooker, which shows police punching the brothers repeatedly while they are on the ground. An internal investigation is currently being conducted by the Rock Hill Police Department.

Ricky Price was pulled over by Homeland Security officers and Rock Hill Police officers for an illegal turn and lane change. Ricky called his brother from inside the car while police searched it, finding two bags of marijuana, a handgun, and crack cocaine. The altercation started when Travis Price arrived and allegedly bumped into the officers while trying to grab items from the car. Travis was then also put under arrest, but refused until officers shoved him into a gas tank, claiming Travis had pushed them. At this point, Travis and Ricky Price engaged with officers while on the ground, though it’s unclear to see what exactly was happening.

The abuse continued as the officers removed Ricky’s handcuffs to take his jewelry off, but was knocked to the ground and punched in the face after he punched an officer. Ricky was denied bond for a number of crimes including drug and gun possession, and sits in a local jail in a wheelchair with two black eyes and a broken nose. The use of force that we see in the video is a perfect example of why African Americans today in certain parts of America are afraid of police,” Price family attorney told CNN, “There’s no justification for doing that to anybody.”

Eight individuals were taken into custody Thursday night while protesting the violent arrest in Rock Hill. Rock Hill NAACP leader Norma Gray cautioned protesters to remain peaceful: “again we’re asking for calm as you protest. Use your civil rights but do it in calm.”
