G Herbo, Polo G, & Lil Tjay Deliver Emotional Bars On “Cry No More”

G Herbo has consistently been one of the best storytellers in hip-hop over the last few years and at the age of 25, he has already accomplished so much. His fanbase is always ready for new music and on Friday, he delivered with his brand new album 25. This project is chock-full of emotional tales about the life he has lived and some of the violent things he has witnessed. There are some songs that will hit you in the chest, and “Cry No More” with Polo G and Lil Tjay is one of those efforts.

This is a piano ballad that begins with a phenomenal hook from Polo G, who always seems to find his pocket while rapping over pianos. From there, G Herbo recounts the time he saw someone die and how the trauma impacted him. The phrase “cry no more” is repeated quite a bit throughout the song and it is a reminder of the pain that can be felt in these difficult situations. Lil Tjay comes in on the second half of the track, and as always, his melodies and word play are sharp as ever.

You can check out the song, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Stood over bro on the floor dying
Thinking homicide, wasn’t no crying
Hop out, glizzies, forties, and four-fives
Looking for the killers, ain’t no time
‘Member we was drilling, oh, what a feeling
We ain’t give a fuck about no time

Yungeen Ace Gets Phenomenal Posthumous King Von Verse On “Hardaway”

Yungeen Ace has been doing big things as of late and the Jacksonville rapper is dead set on making sure that he continues his meteoric rise. After releasing “Who I Smoke?” and beefing with fellow Jacksonville artist Foolio, Ace has arrived with a new project called Life Of Betrayal 2x which features some emotionally honest tracks about everything he has been through in life. There are some wonderful tracks to be had here, including the song “Hardaway” which features a verse from King Von.

The song begins with a nice light guitar loop which eventually transitions into Von’s verse. The posthumous effort is certainly a solid one and when paired with Von’s melodic vocals, everything comes together beautifully. You can tell these two have musical chemistry, and in the end, they created a product that showcases the emotions that come with street life.

Quotable Lyrics:

But shawty a baddie
Pussy good, got me feeling like a addict (Uh-huh)
Finna pull up, baby, send the addy (Gang)
This a opp, shit get tragic (Boom)

Doc Rivers Offers Some Interesting Remarks About Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons has been one of the most scrutinized players in the entire league over the last couple of weeks, and it is all thanks to his horrific playoff performances this postseason. The 76ers had a phenomenal chance at making it to the NBA Finals this year although they ended up squandering that chance and it was largely because of Simmons’ lack of offense. He has proven he can score 30 points or more when he wants to, although, in the playoffs, he was lucky to score double-digit points at all.

After the 76ers’ elimination against the Hawks, Doc Rivers said he didn’t know if Simmons was the point guard of the future. Now, Rivers is going back on those comments as he was recently approached by TMZ in California. As you can see below, Rivers is adamant that he wants Simmons to return.

“Ben’s great. I want him back. He’s terrific. He’ll be great,” Rivers said. “I think he doesn’t need a lot of fixing. He’s gonna be great for us. He’ll be great.”

It’s been reported that the Sixers want to keep it going with Simmons although if a good trade comes across their table, there is no reason why they wouldn’t pull the trigger. With his shooting woes in mind, the Sixers certainly have a lot to think about this summer.
