Quotable Lyrics
I know they want me in caskets but I’m rollin’ around with a .30
Life I was livin’ was tragic, I still feel like I live in the past tense
I know they wouldn’t imagine all my haters be comin’ in last place
I swear my life is a movie, I don’t want you to speak on my past

Lil Baby Thinks Rap Beefs Over Women Need To End

There is too much going on in the world for rappers to beef about women—at least, that’s what Lil Baby believes. Music fans are often confronted with news of rappers getting into arguments and sending off subliminal, or scathingly direct messages to their foes. Sometimes, the origins of these arguments are never shared and the rumor mill is left with speculation and internet sleuths attempting to piece together timelines and relationships. In other instances, rappers lay it all out on the line lyrically, airing out their grievances with the power of the pen.

While Lil Baby doesn’t seem to be targeting “beef” culture altogether, he did acknowledge that people need to stop arguing over women.

“We gotta stop letting these females be the reason behind the beef !” Lil Baby recently tweeted. His mentions were flooded with people who agreed with his stance, but Asian Doll stepped in to say that it’s not always the fault of the ladies.

“N*ggas be more messy about the situation then the females tho [crying laughing emoji],” she replied. Unsurprisinly, many women sided with Asian Doll. Lil Baby didn’t acknowledge her response, nor did he share what prompted his tweet, but fans were quick to share their thoughts. Check it out below.

Billie Eilish Reveals She Was Abused As A Minor, Won’t Reveal Culprit

She’s ditched her green and black hair this time around and the world is getting a more mature, blonder, and sexier Billie Eilish. The 19-year-old superstar has been working at her career since she was 14, and throughout, Eilish has donned baggy clothes and dark glasses to keep her body away from the prying eyes of fans and press. For her Vogue feature, the singer stripped down to lingerie and spoke openly about her growth and not wanting to be controlled any longer.

Eilish’s forthcoming album, Happier Than Ever, is slated for release at the end of July but it’s already rollout season for the singer’s team. We recently received “Your Power,” Eilish’s single from the album, and she spoke to Vogue about the song being a message to a person who abuses minors.

“It’s an open letter to people who take advantage – mostly men,” said Eilish. “I would like people to listen to me. And not just try to figure out who I’m talking about, because it’s not about that. It’s really not at all about one person. You might think, ‘It’s because she’s in the music industry’ – no, dude. It’s everywhere. I don’t know one girl or woman who hasn’t had a weird experience, or a really bad experience. And men, too – young boys are taken advantage of constantly.”

“I wanted to say that it doesn’t matter who you are, what your life is, your situation, who you surround yourself with, how strong you are, how smart you are,” she continued. “You can always be taken advantage of. That’s a big problem in the world of domestic abuse or statutory rape – girls that were very confident and strong-willed finding themselves in situations where they’re like, ‘Oh my god, I’m the victim here?’ And it’s so embarrassing and humiliating and demoralizing to be in that position of thinking you know so much and then you realize, I’m being abused right now.”

Eilish wouldn’t share information regarding her experience but the publication reports they were later informed that it “wasn’t a music industry figure.” Check out photos from Eilish’s Vogue feature below.

Doja Cats Claims SZA Was “In My Heart” When She Wrote “Kiss Me More”

Their “Kiss Me More” collaboration has been a favorite among fans and Doja Cat is now explaining how she linked up with SZA for the single. Doja recently released the Planet Her track featuring the Top Dawg Entertainment songbird and during an interview with Capital XTRA Breakfast with Yinka and Shayna Marie, Doja revealed that she had SZA in mind when she was creating the record.

“I feel like me and SZA are similar in the way that we’re kinda like, we both grew up with spiritual kind of, spiritual backgrounds, but, I mean, she was perfect for this song,” the singer shared.

“I feel like I say this every time. She was in my heart when I wrote this and I needed her to be on the hook, and I needed her to put a verse because she brings just, a depth to everything that she does,” Doja added. “I went in writing the song, thinking it was just going to be about kissing and have silly, goofy metaphors for kissing, and things like that, but she took it to a level of like, I need love. Like, I need to be loved better. Like, I need more love than what you’re giving to me. So, that kind of vibe I feel like is important.”

“Kiss Me More” is the lead single from Planet Her and incorporates Doja’s futuristic, space travel concept that she’s been continuing during her promotion of the forthcoming project. Doja has been secretive about features on the album, but she recently revealed that she has a collaboration with The Weeknd on the record. Watch Doja Cat’s interview below.

Lil Yachty Shares Nail Polish Brand Crete Release Date

Lil Yachty is fresh off of the release of his Michigan-centric album, Michigan Boy Boat but he’s keeping the ball rolling with other business ventures. The young rapper has been teasing the launch of his own nail polish brand for a minute and today, he formally announced its launch. On May 24th, Crete will be available for purchase with their first color drop. Despite the perception that nail polish is meant for women, Yachty stated that his latest product isn’t catered to any specific gender.

“I’d like to introduce my new nail paint line @crete__co …. FIRST COLOR DROP MAY 21. 4 ALL GENDERS. FOR YOU, NOT THEM,” he wrote on Instagram with a short trailer teaser for the product launch.

In December, Yachty teased his new line of nail polish after a 17-year-old student in Texas who was suspended for having painted nails. The student accused the student of sexism and homophobia over the in-school suspension before Yachty publicly came to his defense. “If someone wants to express themself in any type of way, as long as it’s not harming anyone or bringing anyone down, they should be allowed to do so. … You shouldn’t be punished or tormented for being you,” he said.

“It’s unisex,” he explained of Crete. “But I want it to be more focused on for men to use it, and to be more comfortable in their own skin. Because bro, it’s 2020, you know what I’m saying, like it’s about to be 2021—come on, what are barriers? We still have barriers?”
