Lil Uzi Vert Channels His Inner Lil Wayne In Strange New Snippet

Lil Uzi Vert may have temporarily found himself in big trouble a few weeks back following an alleged violent altercation with SAINt JHN and his ex-girlfriend Brittany Byrd, but all chatter surrounding any consequences for that incident seems to have quieted down. A quick visit to Uzi’s socials will show you that the Pluto x Baby Pluto rapper is having the time of his liferiding bikes in Philadelphia and buying planets in his spare time.

If you recently visited Uzi’s Instagram, you may have even been treated to a strange snippet of some of his unreleased music. Unfortunately, Uzi pulled a post-and-delete, but thanks to a screengrab from DJ Akademiks, you can still check it out if you missed it.

Those who have already heard the snippet have likened Uzi’s teased track to Lil Wayne, stylistically, and judging by Lil Uzi Vert’s caption, that may have been his plan from the jump. “HYFR [bat emoji] [coffin emoji] [star emoji] [fire emoji] TuN3$,” the Luv Is Rage artist wrote underneath his since-deleted post.

Further down in the caption, Uzi also teases the “Pink Tape.” He previously that the title of his forthcoming project would be The Real Uzi 2, but perhaps the Philadelphia rapper may have completely switched gears and started work on another project altogether. Regardless, listen to Lil Uzi Vert’s quickly posted and deleted snippet below.

As previously mentioned, many of the fans tuning into the Uzi’s snippet immediately noticed that the Philadelphia rapper sounded like Lil Wayne. Here are some of their reactions to the audio clip from the comments.

Dr. Dre Needs To Pay Nicole Young $300K Per Month: Twitter Reacts

She’s not getting the $2 million per month that she initially requested but she’s still walking away from the marriage with a boatload of money. According to reports, Dr. Dre has officially been ordered to pay his ex-wife Nicole Young $300,000 in monthly spousal support. That amount will remain until she remarries or one of them passes away.

As we appear to be closing in on the end of the divorce saga involving Dr. Dre and Nicole Young, who were married for over 24 years, the world is reacting to the news that the mega-producer will be paying his ex-wife $300,000 per month. Nicole will get her check on the first of every month, starting next month.

With the news starting to circulate more widely, people are wondering what Dr. Dre’s reaction to this decision must have been, sharing funny videos of how they think he must have conducted himself. Some think that he’s going to be berating his lawyers for a long time, while others believe he’s probably glad that he didn’t walk off needing to pay even more.

Regardless, Dre is one of the richest men in music, and although paying $3.5 million every year to someone you despise isn’t an ideal situation, he’s got millions on millions sitting in his bank account and this ensures that Nicole continues to live the same lifestyle she’s grown accustomed to.

Lupe Fiasco Claps Back At Royce Da 5’9″ With “Steve Jobs”

Sometimes, healthy competition can escalate in a blink — and given that we’re currently looking at a combined thirteen minutes of bars from newfangled rivals Royce Da 5’9″ and Lupe Fiasco, it would appear that this one is only getting started.

After finding themselves at odds over lyrical superiority among other factors, Lupe tested the waters with an Instagram freestyle, taking a few potshots at Nickle in the process. Royce then decided to take it to the booth, setting the stage with “The Silence Of The Lamba,” a highlight-reel rap clinic designed to make his foe second guess himself. Evidently, Lupe Fiasco is trained to tune out all distractions. Now, the martially-proficient has decided to match his competitor’s stride, though not without first dipping his blade in poison.

Enter “Steve Jobs,” a six-minute retaliatory track that directly addresses many of the claims made on Royce’s “Lambda.” Off the bat, it’s clear that Lupe is looking to pick his opponent apart. “I think that n***a scared, he never leave Heaven cause he already dead,” spits Lu, over a ghoulish synthesizer. “We both wear glasses,” he continues. “The difference is I was in school thinking it was cool, you were thinking of skipping classes / listening to your track record I can see you were skipping classics.”

There’s certainly more where that came from, as Lupe made sure to up the ante on a personal level. “I wish they would have left Biz here, and fuckin took you,” he raps, with a battle rapper’s energy. Give “Steve Jobs” a listen now, and don’t be surprised to see Royce square up for round two sooner than later.

In seven minutes he did it,
If he knew how to freestyle he coulda rented Heaven for seven minutes
And been done what needed to be done by the second sentence
All this extra innings may come across as master — but my impression’s apprentice
Your penmanship has the fingerprints of a gimmick
An affection and an intimacy of impressions of that n***as you friends with
I ain’t gotta say it to say it,
I can’t even blame you, the n***a’s one of my favorites

Michael Blackson Proposes To His Girlfriend On “The Breakfast Club”

Congratulations are in order for Mr. and Mrs. Blackson. Comedian Michael Blackson stopped by The Breakfast Club on Thursday morning and at the end of the interview, he called his girlfriend Rada over to him before getting down on both knees and proposing to her. The beautiful moment was picked up by all of the cameras.

Speaking about his love for Rada during the interview, Michael Blackson called his girlfriend over at around the 33-minute mark. Charlamagne Tha God joked that they were discussing marriage, which prompted the comedian to pull out an engagement ring from his bag and get down on his knees.

“Bye, side bitches!” proudly exclaimed Rada after getting her ring. When Angela Yee asked Michael to confirm that he would also be saying goodbye to his sneaky links, the actor said that “90%” of them would be getting the boot. Rada was seemingly okay with that.

The unplanned moment sparked excited reactions from everyone in the room, especially since this is the first time that somebody has ever proposed on The Breakfast Club. There have been plenty of noteworthy moments on the show, but never a proposal. There’s a first for everything!

“I’ve never had a woman that’s this loyal to me,” said Michael before revealing that Rada was there to comfort him while he was recovering from COVID-19.

Once again, congratulations to the happy couple!

Billboard Crowns The Neptunes The Greatest Rap Producers Of The 21st Century

Although they may not get as much love and credit as lead artists for making some of popular culture’s favorite tunes, producers are the backbone of the music industry. As a result, Billboard has taken a moment to recognize some of the greatest contributions by record producers to the evolution of popular music throughout the 21st century.

According to HipHopDX, The Neptunes’ massive collection of hits — including No. 1 singles such as Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” and Ludacris’ “Money Maker” — have earned them an impressively high spot on Billboard’s new producer feature. In fact, Pharrell and The Neptunes were both proclaimed to be the second-best producers of the entire 21st century, falling short of the #1 spot and ultimately bowing to Swedish stalwart Max Martin.

Ranked at #2 behind a generally pop-focused producer, Pharrell and The Neptunes were essentially proclaimed by Billboard to be the best Hip-Hop producers of the 21st century. For context, six of the remaining producers mentioned within the top ten were Hip-Hop and R&B-focused producers. In order from top to bottom, Timbaland, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Mike Will Made-It, Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Noah “40” Shebib took the third through eight positions in Billboard’s producer ranking.

Where do you think Pharrell and The Neptunes rank in terms of the greatest producers of the 21st century? Do you think any other Hip-Hop producers have had more of an impact on popular music than Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo?

Royce Da 5’9″ Takes Aim At Lupe Fiasco On “Silence Of The Lambda”

Though Royce Da 5’9″ and Lupe Fiasco previously hosted a podcast together, it would appear that such arrangements are more volatile than once believed. The two elite lyricists have since found themselves embroiled in a heated back-and-forth over lyrical superiority, and last night, both emcees decided to take it to the booth.

Royce has since come through with “Silence Of The Lamba,” a lengthy six-minute salvo designed with a singular purpose: to assert undeniable dominance over his rival. Over a slow-burning, soulful instrumental from longtime Nickle beatmaker Carlos “Six July” Broady, Royce proceeds to put on an absolute clinic, delivering more hard-hitting bars in one song than some artists fit into a single album. While he doesn’t quite hit Lupe with the same ferocity he once gunned for D12 or Mistah Fab, Royce skillfully raises the stakes with enough sly jabs to leave a mark.

It’s admittedly surreal to reflect on how this feud has escalated, but it’s certainly refreshing to see emcees settling their differences through their craft. Fun though the occasional online back-and-forth can be, Royce and Lupe are a cut above when it comes to penmanship, and a swordfight between two masters will always prove more entertaining than even the wittiest heckler.

We do this for Kanye, if you can relate that’s Drake
We come shooting for Conway, Ruger your face back straight

Pastors in wave caps as a recreation of honor
Glad to appreciate black abbreviations of genre
Battle me A$AP, that’s for PDA with Rihanna

Brooklyn Is Outside For Pop Smoke’s “Coupe” Music Video

The second posthumous album has arrived from Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke, and as Pusha-T suggested on the third track “Tell The Vision,” he can already see a platinum plaque starting to form in the clouds. One of the most commercially successful members of the Brooklyn drill community, Pop Smoke was well on his way to becoming a global superstar. The tragic end to his life marked one of the most depressing days in modern hip-hop history, but the rapper’s team has been emptying out his vault to share his greatness with the world. Every release has been bittersweet, but Faith has angered even some people within Pop’s close circle

The album is expected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week and Pop’s estate is doing everything to secure that pivotal starting point, releasing a deluxe edition on Wednesday morning and uploading the official music video for “Coupe” later that day.

The video was filmed primarily at a basketball court in Pop’s neighborhood, which was filled with people from his city, enjoying his music and remembering the young icon. Canarsie was outside for this shoot and it looks like they had a great time.
