Another Suspect Charged For The Murder Of Mo3: Report

Hip-hop fans all around were saddened to hear of the passing of Mo3 last November. The Dallas native was shot and killed in broad daylight on a freeway in his hometown. Around three weeks after his passing, a grand jury charged Kewon Dontell White in connection with the heinous act.

White was formally charged with being the gunman back in February by a grand jury, and reports reveal the 22-year-old will remain in federal custody until the trial because of previous felony convictions. Now, according to reports, a second suspect in the case, Devin Maurice Brown, has been indicted in connection with the crime

Shortly after Mo3’s murder, the 28-year-old was arrested at his residence on November 19th, 2020. Cops discovered a stolen AK-47 in his closet after searching the residence, and according to the DA’s office in North Texas, they also discovered synthetic cannabinoids, a bottle of pills that tested positive for meth, numerous scales and baggies, plus more than $3,200 in cash.

Brown was formally indicted on one count of felony possession of a firearm and one count of possession with intent to district a controlled substance over the November 2020 police raid.

“ATF remains vigilant and steadfast in our fight against violent crime in the Dallas Metroplex. Together with the United States Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners, we will continue to pursue the worst of the worst lawbreakers living amongst us in our communities. If you are in the illegal possession of a firearm, be warned, no one can elude police forever,” said Dallas Special Agent Jeffrey C. Boshek II.

“Once you start passing the people that support you, then they’d be willing to do anything to bring you back down. So there’s a lot of jealousy. a lot of envy,” the rapper’s manager Brandon Rainwater said after a candlelight vigil in Mo3’s honor

We’ll keep you updated with developments in this case.

Snoop Dogg Says DMX Rented Out His Studio To Record His Upcoming Album After Their ‘Verzuz’ Battle

One of the best recent memories people have of DMX is his Verzuz battle with Snoop Doggz last July. The late rapper could be seen in high spirits as he and Snoop went back and forth, playing some of the most popular records from their catalogs. Alas, DMX tragically passed away less than a year later, after a reported drug overdose triggered a heart attack. In a recent interview with Hot97, Snoop explained that his battle with DMX is one of his favorite memories of him.

“He actually did his whole album at my studio when he finished Verzuz,” Snoop revealed during the conversation. “He never left, stayed in L.A. and rented my studio out and did his whole album. I cooked with him, I laid it out for him.” He added, “That was the best moment, that he felt comfortable enough to do his album at my spot, and didn’t leave L.A. until it was done.”

Snoop also spoke about another moment with DMX, one that involved old-school cars and music. “One night I’m sitting in the back and cuz jump in the passenger seat, and we’re just there chopping it up listening to old-school music,” he said. “If you know anything about DMX, you know he don’t f*ck with rap. That n***a don’t f*ck with no rap. So I’m playing all this old-school music, it’s turning this n***a on he’s singing all the words, he more into it than me!”

Snoop’s sit-down on Hot97 comes as DMX’s family prepares to hold memorial services. The first will be today, April 24 at 4 p.m. EST, while the second will occur on April 25 at 2:30 p.m. EST. Both events will be livestreamed, with the former airing on YouTube and the latter on BET.

Air Jordan 12 “Twist” Drops In July: Best Look Yet

There are some Air Jordan silhouettes that have been criminally underrated over the last few decades. One of those shoes is the Air Jordan 12 which came out back in 1997 as Michael Jordan went on to win his fifth NBA championship. The shoe has some special colorways although, over the last couple of years, we have seen some dope unique offerings that have taken the sneaker world by storm. In July, we are supposed to get a new model called “Twist” and thanks to @hanzuying on Instagram, we have some crisp new photos.

As you can see from these images, the shoe has a white leather upper with some red highlights near the midsole and the laces. These nice pops of color add a nice contrast to the shoe and if you are a big fan of basic yet clean offerings, then these are certainly going to be more your speed. Not to mention, these are dropping in time for the summer which means your outfits are going to be well thought out with these on your feet.

The official release date has been set for July 31st while the price is $190 USD. This information is subject to change so keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest news.

2 Chainz Jokes Nas “Ate An Orange And Got A Check” In New Calvin Klein Campaign

When you reach a certain level of legend status, opportunities effectively fall into your lap with very minimal effort required to seek them out. Brands and other high-powered entities often seek out collaborations with star-powered talent to boost their credibility using the likeness of Hollywood’s rap elite.

Nas recently partnered with the Cognac brand Hennessy to deliver a sweet open letter to his daughter Destiny regarding Black excellence. Most recently, Nas lent his likeness to designer Heron Preston’s Spring/Summer 2021 Calvin Klein collection, which released on Friday (April 23). Fellow lyricist 2 Chainz, while impressed with his appearance, couldn’t help but notice the minimal effort Nas had to put into the modeling gig.

“Heron Preston for Calvin Klein,” penned the rap legend in the caption of the 20-second ad. The video shows a comfortably dressed Nas make his way to the refrigerator, taking out an orange and snacking on it.

“N*gga ate an orange and gotta check,” 2 Chainz joked of the advertisement in Nas’ Instagram comments, adding an additional array of fire emojis to commend his work nonetheless.

While there’s no word right now on exactly how much Nas banked in for the ad, it’s likely he received a very healthy sum. Nas was joined by Lil Uzi Vert and supermodel Ashley Graham for the Heron Preston Spring/Summer 2021 Calvin Klein collaboration. Check out more shots from the campaign below and let us know what you think of his performance.

Dusty Locane Connects With Onpointlikeop On “MOVE DOLEY”

Dusty Locane’s slowly coming into his own, even if the Pop Smoke comparisons are largely attached to his name. The rapper’s gravelly voice and menacing bars have made him one artist to look out for in the Brooklyn drill scene. Though he hasn’t released a full body of work yet, his string of singles this year are telling of where he’s heading in the future.

This week, Locane unveiled a brand new single this week alongside Onpointlikeop titled, “Move Doley.” The two rappers weave through haunting productions with money and power on their mind. “20K in my duffy/ Turn that n***a to a duppy,” raps Locane on the hook. Onpointlikeop’s leaps through the track with a vicious flow that adds little mumble bars to emphasize the punchline.

Check the latest from Dusty Locane and Onpointlikeop below.

Houston Rockets To Lose Yet Another Top Executive

When the Houston Rockets started the season with DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, and James Harden, there was some hope that the team would be pretty solid. Unfortunately, without the likes of Mike D’Antoni and Daryl Morey, things got shaky incredibly fast as Harden demanded a trade that eventually brought Victor Oladipo to the franchise. The team then parted ways with DeMarcus Cousins and an abhorrent losing streak immediately put an end to the Rockets’ playoff hopes.

Now, the Rockets will be dealt yet another blow at the end of this season as the team’s longtime CEO Tad Brown will be leaving his post. Brown announced this week that he would be stepping down and that after 19 years with the franchise, it was time for him to move on.

“It’s time to move on, and it’s time to take on other adventures that we’re looking forward to,” Brown said. “It’s been the greatest honor of my professional life to lead this organization. It’s been the ride of a lifetime. […] It was a really challenging fall. The people who left meant a lot to me.”

While this news may not move casual NBA fans, this is certainly a blow for the Rockets as it is yet another core member of the executive team that will be leaving the franchise. Needless to say, the Rockets rebuild starts now.

Steph Curry Divulges On His Most Recent Injury

Steph Curry is the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors and when he is unable to play, the Warriors suffer greatly. If you look at last season, Curry had to miss a vast majority of the season due to a broken hand and as a result, the Warriors ended up finishing last place in the entire NBA. It was a pretty embarrassing season for a team that had made it to five-straight NBA Finals.

Now, Curry is healthy and is having himself a season that some feel puts him in contention for league MVP. The Warriors are hovering around a playoff spot, and they cannot afford to lose any players. Last night, Curry and the Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets although Curry tweaked his ankle numerous time which led to some worrying amongst fans. After the game, Curry made sure to let people know that the injury was nothing serious.

Curry believes he will be able to play on Sunday which is certainly good news for the rest of the team. The Warriors are ninth in the Western Conference and are just half a game back of the Memphis Grizzlies. This year there will be a play-in game like last season so as long as the Warriors maintain their position, they will have a crack at the postseason.

Eminem’s Upcoming NFT Collection Includes Comics, Action Figures, And Beats

While some people are still trying to wrap their heads around what NFTs even are, artists from all over the music world have been quick to take advantage of this growing digital realm. Names like Doja Cat, Jack White, and The Weeknd have all released NFTs of their own. Now Eminem is joining in on the fun. The rapper announced his own line of digital collectables after a Saturday Night Live segment that saw Jack Harlow and cast members explaining what NFTs are through a rap over the Detroit native’s classic song “Without Me.” Now, a day before he drops his line, Eminem has finally revealed what it will contain.

The upcoming release, which drops Sunday, April 25, is a part of an event Eminem has dubbed “Shady Con,” in collaboration with NFT marketplace NFT Gateway. He’ll release original instrumental beats, digital comics, and action figures. The latter will come in three forms, each capturing various Eminem’s rap personas: Marshall Mathers, Slim Shady, and Eminem himself.

“I’ve been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on,” Eminem said on his website. “Not much has changed for me as an adult…I’ve attempted to recreate some of those collections from that time in my life, and I know I’m not alone. I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of, ‘Oh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!’ It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion.”
