Soulja Boy Reflects On Neverending Smoke Session With Snoop Dogg

Big Draco may be in the running for having the most “first rapper to” records under his belt, but following a recent interview with Power 106, it appears that Soulja Boy has joined a long list of artists who have been out-smoked by Snoop Dogg.

Soulja Boy’s Snoop Dogg story does, however, date back to the late 2000s, when Tha Doggfather was working on his tenth studio album Malice n Wonderland. The often-memed Atlanta rapper appeared on the album’s seventh track, “Pronto,” and apparently the studio session for that song eventually turned into a neverending smoke session.

“Me and Snoop was recording a song — it was a song called ‘Pronto’ on Malice ‘N Wonderland,” Soulja Boy explains. “I went over to the studio, and he had a studio at his house. We at the crib playing Madden and stuff like that. And we just start smoking and smoking and smoking and smoking, and we kept smoking. We kept smoking and just kept smoking!”

“I have other two homeboys in there, so every time they kept passing me the blunt, I kept passing it to them,” Big Draco continues. “And Snoop just kept smoking. I looked at Snoop, and I was just like, ‘I’m high. I am high! I quit! I don’t know what’s going on!'”

According to Soulja Boy, even after he and his friends tapped out, Snoop Dogg didn’t flinch and kept the smoke session going all by himself.

Considering that Snoop has previously confirmed that Willie Nelson is the only person to have out-smoked him, Soulja Boy definitely won’t be the last rapper to tap out while smoking with the Hip-Hop legend. If you had the chance, would you smoke with Snoop Dogg?

Kodak Black Shoots His Shot At Nas Or Drake Mentorship

Kodak Black has had issues staying out of trouble for the last few years. Seemingly every month, his legal problems intensify. This year, he’s been dealt a lucky hand, earning a Presidential pardon at the beginning of the year and having his sentence commuted by Trump. Still, he wants a suitable mentor to help guide him in the rap game, realizing that he has a lot to learn from established veterans.

This week, after a collaboration between Kodak Black, Nas, and Brent Faiyaz was teased by a fan, the Florida rapper told followers that he’s interested in building a deeper connection with the King’s Disease 2 legend.

Responding to a tweet on Tuesday night, Kodak manifested a future mentor, shooting his shot at Nas and Drake for the role. “Can’t Wait To Nas Put Me Under His Wing Him Or Drake , I’m Fucked Up Bout Dem Two N***as,” wrote Yak.

The rapper has not collaborated with Drake or Nas in the past, but he clearly has a strong admiration for them both. Nas has released two of the most acclaimed albums of the last two years with King’s Disease and King’s Disease 2, while Drake continues to be the most popular rapper in the world.

Do you think Kodak Black could reach a new level with mentorship from Nas or Drake?

Brooklyn Zu Members 12 O’Clock & Murdock Have Died

It has been reported that two members of Ol Dirty Bastard’s Brooklyn Zu crew — 12 O’Clock and Murdock — have passed away, seemingly killed in a shooting that transpired on Tuesday morning, August 10th.

HipHopDX shared a post by 12 O’Clock’s son Divine Turner, who mourned his father’s death on Instagram. “I’m out of town on business and found out they just murdered my father,” he explains, in a brief clip. “I don’t know what to do.” He elaborates further in a caption. “Sad day for me. They assassinated my father in #Oregon.”

Both 12 O’Clock and Murdock were cousins of Ol Dirty Bastard, and ODB’s son shared a heartfelt Instagram post in thier honor. “Rip To My Older Cousins,” captions Young Dirty Bastard. “Rip 12 ‘O Clock, Rip Murdock. They Were My Fathers Tightest blood Bonds. My Two Older Cousins Was just assassinated. Love Yalllllll. Blood Forever.”

At this moment, details about the death of 12 O’Clock and Murdock remain relatively scarce. A report from FOX as shared by DX indicates that two men were killed in a shooting in Northeast Portland, with multiple left injured. While the investigation is ongoing, suspects have yet to be identified.

The pair were frequent collaborators of the late ODB, having made an introduction of sorts on the Return To The 36 Chambers posse cut “Proteck Ya Neck II The Zoo.” In the wake of the sad news, many have taken to social media to show love to the deceased rappers. Rest in peace to Murdock and 12 O’Clock, and condolences to their friends, family, and fans.

Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kim Scott Was Reportedly Hospitalized After A Suicide Attempt

Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott, reportedly attempted suicide last month but survived the incident.

TMZ reports that according to law enforcement sources, police and emergency workers responded to a call of a suicidal person at Scott’s Michigan home on July 30. Scott apparently had to be restrained due to her combative behavior and was so violent that paramedics were unable to check her vitals. She appeared to have cut herself, due to multiple small lacerations on the back of her leg and the “good amount” of blood that was on the floor. She was rushed to the hospital for medical and psychological evaluation and is now reportedly recovering at home.

If the report is accurate, this isn’t the first time that Scott attempted suicide. Speaking about one of those attempts in 2016, in which Scott intentionally crashed a car, she said, “I sat at the end of a road where I knew that no one else but myself would get hurt. Yes, I drank, I took pills, and I hit the gas and aimed for a pole. I apologized immensely. I did not expect to even make it through that. I told [first responders] that I tried to do this on purpose, and I’m so sorry. I never lied to them. I told them everything that I did.”

Nicki Minaj Reveals Her Pick For Greatest Album Of All Time

Depending on who you ask, you’ll receive a different answer every time as to what’s the greatest music album ever. Some people may safely choose The Beatles’ Abbey Road, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, or Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On. Others would go a more unconventional route and tell you it’s Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Nicki Minaj has taken a different path, revealing her pick for the greatest album of all time on Instagram on Tuesday night.

Sharing a screenshot of her favorite album ever, Nicki told her followers that she thinks the best album ever released is Whitney Houston’s self-titled project from 1985. The album was Whitney’s debut, and it was recently ranked at #257 on a list of the greatest albums ever by Rolling Stone. Whitney Houston stayed at the top of the Billboard charts for fourteen weeks, birthing three number-one singles, including “Saving All My Love For You,” “How Will I Know,” and “Greatest Love Of All.”

Nicki followed up her post with a video of herself listening to “All At Once,” which is from Whitney’s self-titled debut.

In your opinion, what’s the greatest album of all time? Do you agree with Nicki Minaj that Whitney Houston’s self-titled album is up there?

Morray Visits Mo3’s Gravesite Alongside Mo3’s Son

Within a time span of less than a full calendar year, Morray has transitioned from an unknown artist with a viral song to a key rising artist to watch in the music industry. This spring, he dropped off his hard-hitting debut project Street Sermons, and later this summer, he was featured on the highly coveted annual XXL freshman list

Now, it appears that Morray has already secured his “dream collab” — a track with fallen rapper and singer Mo3.

Morray was recently spotted in Dallas, Texas, filming a music video for the as-of-yet untitled collaboration, and as a way of showing even more love to Mo3, the 2021 XXL Freshman also visited Mo3’s gravesite alongside his son.

In a rather heartwarming video, Morray chops it up with Mo3’s son, saying, “Nah, you really the GOAT, bro. I ain’t gon’ lie to you. You fye!” A person off-camera then reveals that Mo3’s son actually has a single dropping on his birthday, to which Morray enthusiastically replies, “Oh, your single bout to drop!?”

The Game Returns For A “Worldwide Summer Vacation”

The Game has always been a rapper who appreciates a good vacation. First, he lined up a “California Vacation” on his sophomore album The Doctor’s Advocate. Now, he’s coming through with another new single, this time gearing up for some globetrotting on “Worldwide Summer Vacation,” a breezy west-coast bounce that may signal a forthcoming project from the west coast emcee.

Rather than going down the bar-spitting route, Game opts for a feel-good vibe over a Duke-produced instrumental. A straightforward ode to the tried-and-true combination of “party and bullshit,” “Worldwide Summer Vacation” is relatively low-stakes insofar as lyricism. For the most part, he’s celebrating the leagues of ladies in his life, a fact highlighted by the accompanying music video.  “This that Caribana summer parade shit, this that ‘girl fuck it up to my ni*ga Drake’ shit,” raps Game. “I know you on your demon time, I aint gon say shit.”

Look for this one to be included on an upcoming playlist, which is set to feature plenty of new music from The Game. What do you think of this new direction for the lyricist?
