Jake Paul Hit With Criminal Charges Over Arizona Mall Looting

In just a couple of weeks from now, Jake Paul will be fighting against Tyron Woodley in a boxing match that could very well decide the course of his boxing career. Fans are excited about the matchup and while there are some out there who want to see his demise, there are various others who want to see him prove the world wrong.

While this is supposed to be an exciting time for Jake, it is now coming with some turmoil as it was reported by TMZ that Paul is now facing criminal charges in Arizona on a count of criminal trespass and unlawful assembly.

If you remember, during the George Floyd protests in the summer of 2020, Jake was seen vlogging at a mall in Arizona during a riot. The entire place was being looted, and as a result, an investigation was launched into Paul’s alleged involvement. At first, the city of Arizona filed the charges against Paul but decided to withdraw as the feds got involved. The feds are no longer pursuing legal action against Paul, which means the city can reapply the charges, and that is exactly what they have done.

These are all misdemeanor charges and if convicted, he could end up going to jail for a year. As for his next court date, Paul will get to go on Labor Day, which is conveniently just a few days after his fight against Woodley.

Kanye West Tried To Cut Chance The Rapper Lyrics From “Ultralight Beam”

Chance The Rapper has a standout contribution to Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” but according to the Chicago rapper, his verse nearly wasn’t released the way we’ve heard it for the last five years.

During a new interview with the Recording Academy, Chance spoke about his manifestations in music, and specifically his “I met Kanye West, I’m never going to fail” lyrics, explaining that ‘Ye initially tried to argue with him to take that part out of the song.

“I rapped on Kanye’s shit right before it came out that I was working on these three GRAMMYs, and I was like, ‘If I keep rapping like that, and just saying shit’s gonna happen, that’s just gonna happen.’ And it started happening,” said the 28-year-old artist. “Kanye didn’t want me to say that [line] on that song. And I had to go back and forth with him about keeping my line on there.”

Despite having some disagreements with Kanye about the song, the lyric made the final cut. “Just being in a position to rap [with] the person who probably is the reason I became a rapper—to be able to produce and write and to be featured on the intro, the first real rap verse you hear on the album, was crazy to me,” said Chano. “I was, at that time, speaking it into existence like, ‘Kanye gonna hit us up soon. You gonna be working with ‘Ye soon.’ And when that happened, I had to keep doing that. I had to keep being like, ‘I’m gonna just say what’s gonna happen.'”

A New Description Of Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Hints At A Bunch Of High-Profile Features

The world continues to await the release of Kanye West’s Donda, although it remains unclear when the project will actually come out. In the meantime, fans are hunting for any sort of information on the album, of which there is not much. It looks like Apple Music have let some information slip, though.

Recently, the Apple Music description of the album was updated, as it now hints at a bevy of features on the album: “Yeezy’s 10th solo album features a wealth of the MC’s favorite voices.”

So far, the only confirmed track set to appear on the album is “Hurricane” featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby. Other artists expected to appear on the album include Travis Scott, Baby Keem, Lil Yachty, Rooga, Gesaffelstein, Kid Cudi, Don Toliver, Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, KayCyy, The Lox, and Jay Electronica.

Meanwhile, the Apple Music page indicates the album is set for release on August 20, although it remains to be seen if that’s speculation or if they got that date from a reliable source. That said, even West himself hasn’t proven to be a reliable source when it comes to release dates.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Billboards Claiming Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Is Streaming Are Popping Up Everywhere, Even Though The Album Isn’t Out Yet

This past Friday came and went without a peep from Kanye West regarding his new album Donda but he didn’t let that stop him from continuing to promote it as if it had come out as planned. Fans have reported and posted photos of massive billboards in such locations as Times Square in New York proclaiming that Donda is now streaming, even though a cursory glance at Kanye’s DSP profiles confirms that it is not.

The album, which was originally supposed to drop in 2020, was pushed back to January, then to the summer of 2021 when Kanye decided to have a massive listening event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta ahead of its release. However, while the listening made a splash and its live stream broke Apple’s previous viewership records, the album never materialized and instead, Kanye announced a second listening event with a new release date. In the meantime, he was apparently holed up in a room in the bowels of the stadium while he worked to make last-minute tweaks — only to push the release back again after the second listening event.

That release date has since passed but it appears Kanye was at least serious enough about it to approve the billboards to go up, which is now having the opposite effect of making fans wonder if indeed the album is ever coming out. This could all be a ploy to build more buzz for it, but if so, that’s a very sharp two-sided blade for Kanye to wield, as similar strategies have backfired for predecessors like Dr. Dre, who promoted Detox for over a decade before finally pulling the plug and releasing Compton in 2015 instead.

Kanye apparently still plans to release Donda, but with each missed release date, it’s possible that fans’ enthusiasm — and patience — will get lower and lower until the album itself becomes an afterthought.

Conor McGregor Reveals When He’ll Return To The Octagon

When Conor McGregor snapped his leg against Dustin Poirier a few weeks back, there were many fans out there who felt like his time was up. It was one of those devastating injuries that can end careers and considering the loss was McGregor’s second in a row, there was a fear that he would simply retire. However, McGregor has shown no signs of slowing down in his recovery as every day, he takes some big steps towards a comeback, no pun intended.

On social media, McGregor has teased his fans with his recovery progress, and at this point, it seems all but confirmed that he will be in the Octagon next year. “2022. I’m improving rapidly! Working with the best team money can buy! I’ll be back in no time, lock loaded!” McGregor wrote. Needless to say, the former UFC champion is doing great right now and he is eager to show people that he is still one of the best fighters in the world. It might take him some time to get back, although we’re sure Dana White is already hard at work, preparing for McGregor’s comeback card.

It will be interesting to see who the UFC chooses to go up against Conor, especially since the Irishman has had trouble with his last few opponents. It’s clear that McGregor will have to work his way back up the ranks, and it could make for a very fun storyline heading into next year.

Young Thug Angrily Snatches 21 Savage’s Phone After He Calls Him “Birthday Girl”

Young Thug is celebrating his thirtieth birthday today, and dozens of his close friends are rushing to send him some love on his big day. Drake beat the crowd to send him a late-night message on Instagram Stories, dedicating an entire post to the Atlanta rap icon, but 21 Savage was actually with the superstar on Sunday night, where he decided to tease him a little.

Instead of acting all buddy-buddy with Thugger, 21 Savage chose to get under his friend’s skin, calling him the “birthday girl” and seeing how he would react. Apparently, Jeffery wasn’t very pleased.

Sharing a video of the exchange on Instagram Stories, the “Bank Account” rapper trolled Young Thug before having his phone snatched out of his hands. “Look at the birthday girl,” said Savage, showing Thug counting money at the club. He instantly got up and angrily grabbed the device out of his hands without saying a word. Clearly, he wasn’t so enthused about being misgendered.

This morning, Young Thug posted plenty of photos and videos for his birthday, re-sharing Drake’s message and dropping off a lot of shared pics with Nipsey Hussle, whose birthday was one day earlier than Thug’s. However, he hasn’t said anything about 21 Savage pissing him off at the club.

Tonight, Thug is holding a massive party in Atlanta, Georgia for his thirtieth. Check out all the details below.

Nick Young Discredits Isaiah Thomas’ Pro-Am Heroics

Over the last few weeks, various NBA stars have been showing off their talents during pro-am games throughout the United States. The two best examples of this are Isaiah Thomas and Payton Pritchard who have put up some truly incredible statistics as of late. For instance, Thomas showed out and scored 81 points in a game just last week, and over the weekend, Pritchard came through and scored 92.

Needless to say, regardless of how many points you may average in the NBA, there is no doubt that these guys are world-class athletes who can make amateurs look like scrubs on any given day of the week. While many fans have been impressed by these performances, some are taking the hater approach, including Nick Young, who voiced his opinion on Twitter.

I mean no disrespect but Seattle and Portland gotta have the worst pro am hoops they letting ppl score 92 81 70 50 50 come on y’all stop getting ppl from in front of the liquor store and telling them to come hoop lol,” Young said. Immediately, Young was called out for looking like a hater, as fans reminded him that he has never put up such numbers in a game before.

Young has been known to deliver the hot takes on social media, and when you consider the confidence he played with in the NBA, you can begin to understand why. Despite his opinion, Thomas and Pritchard should be proud of their games, as most of the people ripping on them would never be able to put up such high numbers.

You can check out the highlights from Thomas and Pritchard’s performances, below.

Silento Indicted For Murdering His Cousin: Report

Rapper Silento has been indicted for a murder charge in the state of Georgia. The 23-year-old, whose real name is Richard Lamar Hawk, now stands accused of murdering his cousin

New legal documents obtained by TMZ reportedly confirm that Silento was hit with four felony charges, including a single count of malice murder and another count of felony murder. He was also charged with aggravated assault and gun possession during the commission of a felony.

Silento was arrested in February of this year following the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks. Rooks was killed in the streets of DeKalb County. Silento is presently being held without bond.

This report comes following a tumultuous year for the young rapper. After he was allegedly caught breaking into somebody’s home with a hatchet, his nudes were leaked online before he was hit with a murder charge. This all happened in the span of a few weeks. Silento’s team has argued that the rapper has been suffering from mental health issues for years.

Previously, he was denied bail in June after the judge said he was “dangerous,” citing concerns about his mental health.
