Chet Hanks Served With Lawsuit While Partying For His Birthday: Report

He was happily celebrating his career moves but Chet Hanks is still facing off with his ex-girlfriend. It was just yesterday (August 17) when we reported that Hanks has signed with Soulja Boy’s SODMG record label. The son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson may be the child of two of Hollywood’s elite actors, in addition to being the sibling of actor Colin Hanks, but Chet is hoping to be the next superstar rapper to top the charts.

His controversial moments have caused him to go viral including his use of Patois and denouncing the COVID-19 vaccine, but according to Radar Online, his ongoing tit-for-tat with hi ex Kiana Parker may land him in court after she sued him for $1 million.

Hanks and Parker have reportedly accused one another of abuse in their prior relationship and after a video of the pair arguing went viral, their ex-romance was being debated by the masses. Radar Online claims that Hanks was recently served with court documents after a process server tracked him down back on August 7 a little after midnight. Hanks was reportedly trying to enjoy himself at Houston’s Bottled Blonde nightclub when he was reportedly approached by the process server after being tracked through his social media posts. He apparently gave away his location on his Instagram Story.

Parker has accused Hanks of being both verbally and physically abusive during their relationship. She claims they began dating sometime in 2019 and moved in with one another at the top of the quarantine in March 2020. Parker states in her lawsuit that Hanks called her a “ghetto Black b*tch” and has chased her with a knife, grabbed her by the arm before twisting it, and destroyed her phone. She alleges that whenever she did try to leave him he would “physically restrain her.”

“Defendant Hanks became aggressive and hostile. As the Plaintiff was lying in bed, Defendant Hanks started verbally abusing and threatening her. He shoved her, threatening her with imminent bodily injury, while stating ‘[I] would not disrespect [him], [he] was in control, [he] would not allow what happened with his mom and dad’s relationship to happen to ours’ and other things,” the lawsuit reportedly reads.

Hanks claims Parker stole money from him but she reportedly denies the allegations.

Parker told RO, “I am glad that he must finally answer for his charges, this has been lingering for too long and I will continue to seek closure, healing, and justice. My life matters so I spoke up.” She was previously granted a temporary restraining order and is reportedly suing Hanks
for “assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

Soulja Boy Almost Fights Person In Crowd During Live Show

It is often said that every person needs that one friend who can set them right before making a grave mistake, and Soulja Boy seems to have that person on his team. The Rap icon has been building his SODMG empire for some time and one mistake can cause him to become a social pariah or stand in the way of his partnerships and deals. Fans often egg on artists in attempts to trap them in compromising situations, and a video circulated showing that an audience member tried testing Soulja’s patience during a live show.

In the clip, Soulja looked as if he was just about to start performing his 2008 hit “Donk” when things got a bit heated in the crowd. Soulja looked like he was ready to throw fists, but he was quickly interrupted.

His team on stage tried telling him to calm down but Soulja was ready to jump in. Then, someone grabbed him by the waist and possibly said a few wise words, hopefully, that quickly changed the rapper’s mind. The look on his face alone was enough to cause the moment to go viral as fans speculated as to what was said.

With a career that has lasted nearly 20 years, Soulja Boy would have a lot to lose. Later, the rapper revealed what was said that kept him from squaring up. Check out the viral clip below.

Summer Walker Confirms SZA, Lil Durk, And Ari Lennox Will Appear On Her Next Album

At the end of 2019, Summer Walker released her debut album, Over It, which broke the record for the largest streaming week for an R&B album by a female artist. It also gave the singer her highest-charting release, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Now Walker is wrapping up work on her sophomore album, and though a title or release date have not yet been shared, she recently revealed some of the artists that will appear on it.

In a post to her Instagram Story, Walker revealed that SZA, Lil Durk, and Ari Lennox are among the acts that are involved. “Riding around listening to this album, can’t choose which is my favorite song… it’s between durk sza and ari ft,” the singer wrote in the post before adding, “they all so good.”

It would be the first time that Walker has collaborated with any of the aforementioned artists. But if her past work proves anything, it’s that she can create excellent chemistry with various artists. Over It featured excellent collaborations with Bryson Tiller, Usher, Jhene Aiko, 6lack, PartyNextDoor, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Drake.

Gunna And Producer Taurus Come Out On Top ‘9 Times Outta 10’ In Their Confident Video

Gunna has spent most of the year teasing the release of his next album, Drip Season 4., which will be the first installment in the rapper’s trademark series, which started in 2013. So far he had yet to share a single from it. That changed on Wednesday with the release of “9 Times Outta 10.”

The track, which boasts production from Taurus, finds Gunna flaunting his winning ways and bragging about his ability to make money and stay ahead of the competition, even when they try to bring him down. The single is also accompanied by a video that shows the bright and dark moments of the rapper’s life.

Drip Season 4 will be Gunna’s first full-length release since he dropped Wunna last spring. The album, which had features from Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, and more, became one of the most popular hip-hop releases of 2020. Gunna also appeared a few times on YSL’s compilation album Slime Language 2, which was released earlier this year.

Recently Gunna collaborated with Polo G for “Waves” and Lil Tecca on “Repeat It.”

Jay Critch Channels Weezy Energy On “Hustler Muzik”

The influence of Lil Wayne in his prime is still felt to his day. While most would agree that Wayne is the GOAT, it’s largely due to his commitment to the craft of rapping and his overall hustle. Tha Carter II highlight “Hustler Muzik” remains an integral record in Wayne’s catalog — one that captured Wayne’s raw essence as an MC and a songwriter.

This week, Jay Critch came through with his own take on the record. The New York rapper shared his new single, “Hustler Muzik” which pays homage to Wayne’s original without directly biting any aspects of the songs. Critch takes those smooth and soulful aspects of the production and applies elements of Brooklyn drill which he emphasizes with his triplet flow.

Check the song out below.

Common Announces “A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2” Ft. Black Thought, Seun Kuti, & More

We’re set to receive new music from Common as he has announced that his next project will arrive in September. The Hip Hop legend has been steadily releasing music for decades, and while his career has expanded into literature, film, television, production and much more, music has always held a special place for the celebrated lyricist.

Last year, Common delivered A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 1, and on Wednesday (August 18), he announced the arrival of Pt. 2 along with a tracklist. “A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2 was created with hope and inspiration in mind,” Common reportedly said in a statement about the album. “The spirit of the album was meant to emulate what a greater day would sound and feel like.”

“We were in the midst of some tough political and socially challenging times. There was still hurt, anger and pain lingering, so I was thinking, ‘what is the next step in this revolution?’ I thought about what being still in these times had brought me and that was a peace beyond understanding, a greater love for self, a closer connection with God, and more appreciation for my family, friends and the simple things in life.”

He added, “I wanted to write about that and create music that embodied that. What does a new day, a brighter day feel like being told through an emcee and some gifted musicians? How could this music be an example of the beautiful aspects of revolution that include joy, self-love, compassion, dreams, peace and good times? As a piece of art, I believe we took it to different places musically only to come back to the original intention. To bring joy to people’s hearts, fun to their lives and smiles to their souls.”

Features on the album include looks from Jessica Care Moore, PJ, Black Thought, Seun Kuti, Marcus King, Isaiah Sharkey, Brittany Howard, and Morgan Parker. A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2 is slated for release on September 10. Check out the tracklist below.
