A Dallas Mavericks fan was booted from Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals game after he was engaged in an incident with Chris Paul’s family. The young fan was stated to have harassed the family and physically made contact with Paul’s mother.

After the 111-101 defeat, Chris Paul spoke about the moment on Twitter. “Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families … f— that!!” Paul typed.

In attendance was Paul’s mother, wife and two children. Paul’s mother had hands put on her and his wife was pushed.

The Mavericks organization releases a statement after the game: “It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”

Tame Impala And Diana Ross Seemingly Have A Star-Studded Album Coming Out Soon

A few months ago, it was reported that Tama Impala and Diana Ross (aka one of the best lead singers of all time) were working on a new song together, with a source telling The Sun at the time, “Diana might be 77 but she is determined to push musical boundaries and challenge herself. She loves reinvention and melting genres together. She’s really excited to work with Tame Impala and is ecstatic with the track — she can’t wait for fans to hear it.”

Now it appears the two got along so well that they’ve actually made an entire collaborative album.

NME reports that some posters started showing up in London over the weekend which seem to tease a full-length project from Ross and Tame Impala. The colorful poster teases something that’s “coming soon,” produced by Jack Antonoff, and that features Tierra Whack, HER, Brittany Howard, Jackson Wang, Bleachers, Phoebe Bridgers, GEM, Heitor Pereira, Weyes Blood, Kali Uchis, Verdine White (of Earth, Wind & Fire), Thundercat, Caroline Polachek, RZA, St. Vincent, Gary Clark Jr., and Brockhampton.

This comes after Ross released Thank You, her first album of new original material since 1999’s Every Day Is A New Day, in November 2021. Antonoff and St. Vincent contributed to that project, too.

Dom Kennedy Sues L.A.P.D. For “Unconstitutional” Gun Laws

Dom Kennedy is reportedly suing the Los Angeles Police Department for upholding the “unconstitutional” gun laws that have led to him being arrested in the past. Kennedy filed the suit with Garry Matthews claiming that the city’s licensing scheme violates the Second and Fourteenth Amendments.

“The City’s and the Board’s and LAPD’s unconstitutional ‘no-issue’ CCW policies (concealed weapons permit) and other unconstitutional gun control laws, which were officially adopted and promulgated by the City’s policymakers, caused [Dom Kennedy and Matthews] and the other members of the Arrest Class and the Nonresident Class to be arrested and detained merely for the permissible Second Amendment conduct of carrying a handgun for general self-defense outside the home or place of business,” the lawsuit reads.

In addition to seeking payment for damages and legal fees, Kennedy and Matthews are hoping to have their arrests be ruled null and void. They also want anyone else affected by the laws to have their recorded expunged.

Kennedy’s and Matthews’s lawyer, Jovan Blacknell, explains: “The two key, undisputed facts in this case are that there were no actions that the Plaintiffs or the other class members could have taken during the relevant time period that would have allowed them to carry a handgun for general self-defense in the City of Los Angeles. (1) the City’s Police Chief refuses to issue CCWs for the lawful Second Amendment purpose of general self-defense; and (2) the City’s Police Chief vigorously enforces laws criminalizing carrying a handgun outside the home without a CCW.

“By adopting and following a City policy of refusing to issue CCWs for general self-defense and then by adopting and following a City policy of strictly enforcing State laws prohibiting carrying a handgun outside the home without a CCW, the City violated their Second Amendment rights, and, in the case of Mr. Mathews and the Nonresident Class, the City violated their Fourteenth Amendment rights.”

The lawsuit is also being filed against the City of Los Angeles as a whole and the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners.

NBA Reveals MVP For The 2021-2022 Season

NBA MVP is one of those debates that gets harder and harder to have every single year. The criteria for this award isn’t exactly concrete. It is up for interpretation, and that is precisely why it is always so controversial. This year in particular, there were plenty of options for the award. For instance, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ja Morant, and Nikola Jokic were all considered viable candidates for the big award.

If you were to ask the players, they would say Embiid was the most deserving. In the end, however, it is the journalists who get to vote. Jokic was the darling of the media all season long and, therefore, it is easy to see how he was the one who ultimately got chosen. Today, it was revealed by the league that Jokic is the official MVP.

For many, this is a huge disappointment although it is clear that a lot of people believe he is deserving. This is his second MVP in a row, and while his Nuggets teams did not perform well in the postseason, most rational human beings recognize this is because he had no help due to Jamal Murray’s injury.

You can check out some of the highlights from Jokic’s season, down below. Also, let us know if you agree with this choice, in the comments below.

Future’s “I NEVER LIKED YOU” First-Week Sales Are In

When it comes to numbers, Future certainly didn’t disappoint with the release of I NEVER LIKED YOU. The rapper’s latest studio album arrived on April 29th with the deluxe dropping a few days after that. However, the anticipation surrounding the album was incredibly high during the lead-up. That’s clearly reflected in the album’s first-week sales.

As expected the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, marking Future’s eighth chart-topper. However, Future did exceed initial sales projections with his latest album. I NEVER LIKED YOU was forecasted to debut with 175K to 200K units in its first week. The official numbers revealed that Future moved 222K by the end of the streaming week. The album was largely propelled to the top through streaming, which accounts for 214K album-equivalent units. 6,500 came from pure sales while the remaining 1,500 were derived from TEA units.

It’s an impressive feat for Future, who delivered the biggest week in hip-hop and R&B since Drake’s Certified Lover Boy moved 236K units in its second week. It also marks “the largest week for any album” since Adele’s fourth studio album, 30

Future thanked the producers involved with the project after the first week sales were confirmed. “The producers who contributed to making #INEVERLIKEDYOU a success I jus wanna say THANK YOU for sharing your gift with me. Forever,” he wrote on twitter.

Just beneath Future’s new album is The Weeknd’s DAWN FM which leaped from #35 to #2 on the Billboard 200 this week. The album moved 57K in its first week after The Weeknd released the vinyl LP, deluxe box set, and cassettes on April 29th.

Another notable debut on the Billboard 200 this week comes from NoCap whose debut studio album, Mr. Crawford debuted at #8 with 29K units.

Charles Barkley Responds To Steve Kerr Amid Dillon Brooks Controversy

In Game 2 of the series between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies, Dillon Brooks came up from behind Gary Payton II and swiped at him which led to a pretty bad fall. Payton broke his elbow and is now out for the rest of the series. Meanwhile, Brooks was suspended for a game.

After making this play, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr went to the media and was very adamant about what Brooks did. The Warriors coach said that Brooks made a dirty play and that he even broke the basketball code. These comments have proven to be quite controversial as not everyone agrees.

One such person is none other than Charles Barkley who was on TNT last night talking about the incident. As you can see down below, Barkley feels as though the Brooks hit was a hard one but it wasn’t enough to warrant such a hyperbolic reaction.

“Listen, Dillon Brooks that was a Flagrant 2, but the notion he tried to hurt that kid, I’m not going to live with that… now they… this is the code, give me a break man,” Barkley said.

The series between the Warriors and Grizzlies has been incredibly chippy. With the Warriors up 2-1, it is only going to get more intense, but hopefully, both teams can keep the physical play to a minimum. Otherwise, it could get very ugly.

New Jersey Rapper AK Claims Kendrick Lamar Stole His Idea For “The Heart Part 5″

New Jersey rapper AK has accused Kendrick Lamar of stealing the idea for his new music video, “The Heart Part 5,” from AK’s 2020 song, “Family Tree.” Both videos feature the artist in front of the camera rapping while their face morphs into different celebrities.

For AK’s video, he becomes J. Cole, Nas, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, JAY-Z, and even Kendrick Lamar. The piece was released in September 2020 and has amassed over 600,000 views on YouTube.

“Kendrick Lamar’s new music video is an exact copy of my video from 2020 of my song ‘Family Tree,’” AK claimed in a video posted on social media.

He continued: “Maybe I’m fooling myself for thinking that Kendrick saw my video and was like, ‘Damn, that’s so good that I want to do it myself.’ But I was under Universal; he is under Universal. I did that video in 2020 with Universal. Obviously, the song didn’t do as good as if Kendrick was to do it, but the concept was so sick and I fucking don’t know, but it’s the same exact thing — it’s a backdrop, it’s him in front of it, it’s one take.”

Lamar released his video for “The Heart Part 5,” directed by himself and his pgLang co-founder Dave Free, on Sunday night. The track feature’s Lamar changing into Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson, and Jussie Smollett.

The release comes just days ahead of Lamar’s long-awaited fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The project, which is rumored to be a double album, is scheduled to release on Friday, May 13.

Check out both AK’s video for “Family Tree” and Lamar’s video for “The Heart Part 5” below.
