OG Maco’s Manager Denies Reports That Rapper Has Died

OG Maco shocked fans worldwide on Thursday. The rapper was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after being found unresponsive in his home. TMZ reported that OG Maco suffered a gunshot to the head, and subsequently underwent surgery. The details surrounding the rapper’s condition were limited right after news broke of his alleged suicide attempt. Fortunately, Maco’s manager reached out to fans on Friday to assure them that he is not dead.

OG Maco’s longtime manager, Poppa Perccc, issued a statement via social media on December 13. He’d grown tired of the allegations that Maco was dead, and set the record straight. He wrote, definitively, that the outlet @SayCheeseTV is “capping right now.” Poppa Perccc went on confirm that OG Maco was alive following his emergency surgery. “Maco is still in ICU,” he wrote. This makes sense, given that less than a day had passed since TMZ broke news of the rapper’s alleged suicide attempt.

OG Maco’s Manager Revealed He Was Still In ICU

Poppa Perccc’s statement marks the second time he has spoken on OG Maco’s condition. The first time was shortly after the TMZ report dropped. He did not provide any information about the rapper, but he did urge fans to send their thoughts and prayers his way. OG Maco has not been shy about discussing the various struggles he has had with depression and other health issues over the years. He may have broken out in a big way with 2014’s “U Guessed It,” but the rapper has suffered numerous personal setbacks since then.

The rapper nearly lost an eye in a car accident in 2016. He’s also had to contend with a flesh-eating skin disease called necrotizing fasciitis. OG Maco detailed the difficulty he had contending with the disease during a series of 2019 Instagram Stories. “I’ve been scared a lot,” he admitted to fans. “I didn’t know what was going to happen, I didn’t know if I’d lose my entire face — I almost did.” He revealed that he’d been “improperly treated for a minor rash and ended up with a skin eating disease” as a result. He also admitted to Complex in 2018 that the disease made him contemplate taking his own life. We hope Maco bounces back.

Lil Reese Responds To Reports That He Got Shot

Every once in a while in the rap game, some blog page or social media user will light a fire under everyone with a baseless claim that takes an inch and runs a mile with it. Most recently, this happened to Lil Reese, as rumors swirled around the Internet that someone shot him. This led to media outlets like DJ Akademiks reporting that assailants shot him six times, and obviously his team started reaching out. One associate of his, fellow rapper Kayla B, took to Instagram to share screenshots of direct messages with the Chicago MC. In them, he confirmed that this speculation is entirely fake, and that he’s doing well right now.

Furthermore, Lil Reese also asked for screenshots of what blog pages started to spread this news around. It seems like he wants to get to the bottom of this and understand why these rumors manifested in the first place. Regardless, one can’t necessarily blame fans for assuming the worst in this situation considering past events. After all, the drill artist recently spoke to Adam22 of No Jumper about a previous 2021 shooting that almost took his life.

Unfortunately, these brushes with death have been all too common in his everyday goings-on, whether due to his relationships in the game or his proximity to hardened street life in Chicago. With this in mind, the dismissal of this fake news is heartening, as we’ve sadly seen more examples of bad news than good news. His upbringing exposed him to street life early on, and it’s been a tough thing to tackle and balance ever since. Still, at least the 30-year-old has his career as a saving grace that can keep him distant, at least some times.

Meanwhile, it’s fortunate that this news became much more positive, and that rumors resulted false. What do you think about this sort of thing happening to artists often, who find out speculation about them once people go into a social media frenzy? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Reese.

Foolio Explains How He Got Shot, Claims It Was Because Of A Vape

When you have a strong addiction to something, odds are that you will see signs along the way that you should take a better path. However, some habits are very hard to beat, and even life-threatening situations can’t always reset that switch in your mind. That’s what apparently recently happened to Foolio, who recovered earlier this month following a shooting in his home city of Jacksonville. Moreover, he recalled on Instagram Live how he was at a gas station when someone shot him in the foot. Specifically, the rapper stopped at the establishment to get a vape, a vape that he kept on hitting in the Live clip in which he talks about the near-fatal experience.

Furthermore, this got a lot of people debating in the comments, whether they’re Foolio fans or they just happened to come across coverage of his statement. Many came to the conclusion that, if a bullet didn’t turn things fatal in this case, then continued nicotine use certainly could. Others made jokes insensitive jokes about passing away over an Elf bar, while some expressed that this should’ve been a sing for him to stop. No matter how you slice it, the Florida native should be grateful that both attempts on his life, with violence and poor health, have been unsuccessful so far.

Foolio Smokes The Vape That Got Him Shot: Watch

In other Foolio news, YK Osiris recently blasted him for exposing Osiris for allegedly giving him NBA YoungBoy’s location amid their beef. “This s**t is so l*me, bro,” he quipped. “I gotta get on here and defend myself every freakin’ time. I be chillin’, drinking my margarita. A n***a wanna come up here and cap, and get clickbaits. Man, leave me the f**k out of that, n***a. You know damn well I ain’t got nothing to do with that. Stand on your own. You a man, bruh, stand on your own. I’m not with none of that, bruh. That ain’t no real n***a s**t.”

Meanwhile, we’ll see what other antics the Jacksonville native gets into; hopefully, they aren’t as dangerous or life-threatening as these. It’s always tough to fight addictions with a lifestyle that makes you depend on them. Still, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.
