NBA YoungBoy has pleaded guilty to 10 counts in connection to his prescription fraud ring case in Utah, accepting a deal that will see him avoid a prison sentence while dishing out a $25,000 fine. All-in-all, he pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of third-degree felony forgery, and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct. Additionally, he entered a “no contest” plea to the remaining 36 charges in the case.
Logan District Judge Spencer Walsh agreed to the suspension of a prison sentence because YoungBoy will still be serving a “substantial” 27 months for a separate federal case out of another county. “I’ve seen so many times where you have young men and women who have a lot of talent and potential. They can be robbed of that potential when they start to really struggle with their addictions,” Walsh said at the hearing. “I don’t want that for you. I’m sure that in your future, once you’re done with your federal prison time, you can be really successful on federal probation and have a really bright future where you can reach your full potential in every aspect of your life. Best of luck to you, Mr. Gaulden.”
YoungBoy had been living under house arrest in Utah at the time of his arrest for the charges. He was allegedly been involved in a shooting in Miami in 2019. After that case, his lawyers argued in 2021 that “moving to Utah would keep YoungBoy out of trouble,” as noted by ABC 4. Back in April, police arrested him for allegedly running a prescription fraud ring out of his home.
Regarding the aforementioned federal case, YoungBoy agreed to serve over two years in prison back in September for a Louisiana gun case. As for his music career, YoungBoy is gearing up for the release of his next album on December 6. The title will be I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders.
The Young Dolph murder trial reached a verdict on Thursday afternoon (September 26), as the jury found its first suspect, alleged gunman Justin Johnson, guilty. Moreover, two trials could still potentially take place for the other two defendants: Cornelius Smith (another alleged gunman) and Hernandez Govan (the alleged mastermind). Earlier today, the prosecution explained why Govan did not take the stand today. The court found Johnson, 25, guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced him to life in prison. However, the court has yet to determine a timeline as to Govan and Smith, a deliberative process that already saw many ups and downs throughout this trial.
“I don’t want to go into too much detail,” Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy explained to reporters about Govan’s absence. “But not every potential witness that we might have is necessary in a case. It’s not always necessary to bring everything you have to bear in order to prove everything beyond a reasonable doubt.” Smith and Govan also face first-degree murder charges in the Young Dolph case. A fourth accomplice, Johnson’s brother Jermarcus, already pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder charges.
Furthermore, Johnson’s lawyer Luke Evans accused the prosecution of omitting Govan’s testimony because it would negatively affect their efforts in the Young Dolph case. “I don’t have the ability to wave a magic wand and give him a reduced sentence if he comes in and testify for me,” Evans reportedly told the jury. “So he’s to my exclusion, to Mr. Johnson’s exclusion and to your exclusion. And if this is a truth-seeking function, why didn’t the state call him?” “He is a defendant,” Paul Hagerman – Shelby County’s Deputy District Attorney – retorted. “He is not a missing witness. That would be be insane,” he added, defending Govan’s right to not incriminate himself.
Meanwhile, Young Dolph’s murder also faced some other allegations as far as who was responsible. Yo Gotti and his late brother Big Jook have been accused of being involved in this tragedy in some way. However, those remain unconfirmed and unfounded allegations at press time. We will see in due time what will happen to the other suspects in this case, and if more revelations follow.
Quando Rondo, according to a new report from XXL, is pleading guilty to his 2023 federal drug trafficking investigation. The specific charges include drug conspiracy and participating in criminal street gang activity. His sentence is currently unknown, but that decision should come to light very soon. In the meantime, the Savannah, Georgia rapper is out on bond until the time comes. Following his guilty plea, Quando Rondo delivered an apology in a press conference just outside the confines of the courthouse, according to local news outlet WTOC.
“I really wanna give an apology to the city of Savannah”, Rondo began. “I wanna give an apology to my family and friends, loved ones and most of all my daughters for taking all my family and all my loved ones through this stressful point”. Going back to the sentence for a second, the “ABG” MC could be receiving a much shorter one. He can thank himself for accepting a plea deal in addition to pleading guilty to a lesser charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substances (marijuana).
WTOC says he’s facing up to five years now instead of a possible 20 previously. So, with that in mind, it will be interesting to see what the judge decides. There is a chance he receives the full half-decade sentence, though. What could lead to that is all of his past run-ins with the law over the last few years such as a link to a shooting in 2020 and a lawsuit for assault and battery in 2019.

The trial of Freddie Trone and his son Tremont Jones concluded on Wednesday, August 7. Finally, fans and his family were able to gain a sense of closure to the tragic murder of Philadelphia rapper PnB Rock. The jury deliberated for less than four hours before delivering a verdict that found Trone guilty of multiple charges. Meanwhile, Jones was found guilty of robbery and conspiracy. The case has drawn significant attention due to the high-profile nature of the crime. PnB Rock was killed on September 12, 2022, at Roscoe’s Chicken ‘N Waffles in South Los Angeles. Here’s a breakdown of what we know about the trial and its outcomes.
After a brief jury deliberation, Freddie Trone was found guilty of murder, two counts of robbery, and one count of conspiracy. Tremont Jones was found guilty of robbery and conspiracy. The verdict was reported by Rolling Stone journalist Nancy Dillon. Trone’s defense argued that he had no part in planning or executing the robbery. They claimed he only became involved after the fact. However, the jury was unconvinced, resulting in Trone’s conviction on all counts.
Details Of The Crime
The prosecution presented evidence that Trone and his 17-year-old son, who was deemed mentally unfit to stand trial, were tipped off by Tremont Jones about PnB Rock’s presence at the restaurant. According to the State, Trone instructed his son to rob the rapper. The prosecutors alleged that this led to the tragic shooting and robbery of PnB Rock in front of his fiancée, Stephanie Sibounheuang, and other diners. The defense’s claims that Trone was not involved were ultimately rejected by the jury.
Following the verdict, PnB Rock’s mother, Deannea Allen, expressed her elation and relief. Allen has been a consistent presence throughout the trial, seeking justice for her son. She told Rolling Stone, “I’m here to get justice. I want justice. This was my son, my child. I want the jury to know he has a family who loves him and wants to support him.”
Emotional Testimonies & Courtroom Revelations
During the trial, PnB Rock’s mother averted her eyes and wiped away tears as a prosecutor displayed an autopsy photo of her son. “I wasn’t prepared for those pictures. It’s very devastating. I never wanted to see those pictures,” Deannea Allen said after the court session. Allen learned about the trial’s start from social media and traveled from Philadelphia to attend in person.
Stephanie Sibounheuang’s testimony was a critical moment in the trial as she recounted how the rapper saved her life. She described the gunman’s demand for their jewelry and the subsequent shooting. Moreover, Sibounheuang testified that the shooter threatened to execute her if PnB Rock did not comply. Her vivid recount of the incident highlighted the terror of that day, along with PnB’s heroism to protect her.
Prosecution’s Argument & Defense’s Claims
Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Timothy Richardson argued that Freddie Trone knew his son was “impulsive” and “dangerous,” yet still sent him to rob the rapper with a loaded semi-automatic firearm. In response, Trone’s defense lawyer, Winston McKesson, said that Trone was not the getaway driver and had no involvement in the robbery. Trone testified that he left the parking lot before the incident and that a different driver brought his son back to the restaurant. The defense also claimed that the object handed to Trone by Jones was a bag of marijuana, not a gun, as the prosecution alleged.
Sentencing & Further Legal Actions
Freddie Trone and Tremont Jones will be sentenced at a later date, with the legal system now focusing on the appropriate punishments for their crimes. Additionally, Trone’s wife and a reported mistress were charged as accessories after the fact, having pleaded no contest before the trial began. The case continues to resonate with fans and the music community, as justice for PnB Rock is finally served.
One of two men charged with the killing of Chinx in 2015 has reportedly pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the case. According to a report from Fox 5’s Lisa Evers, Quincy Homere filed the plea in Queens Criminal Court. He’s already serving an 18-year sentence in federal prison for a 2015 bank robbery. He now faces another 23 years in state prison with a sentencing set for August 12.
Chinx’s wife, Nelli, addressed the update in a statement on Instagram while sharing a photo of the late rapper. “We fought hard for a harder charge which should be murder 2 cause in the state of NY, murder 1 is only given in the cases of government officials being murdered,” she wrote. “He wouldn’t take the murder 2 which would of ended in a lengthy trial that we were obviously ready for!!”
From there, she admitted she’s not entirely happy with the result: “We are not happy with this charge but one can not dodge whatever GOD has planned for him! Manslaughter has me livid n heartbroken. He deserves to spend his life in jail … but we will be there August 12 to hear him get sentenced … CHINX WILL FOREVER LIVE ON THRU IS ALL!! Thank you to all that has continued to support us thru this journey!” Check out her full post on Instagram below.
Chinx was shot and killed while sitting in his car after an appearance at Club Red Wolf back on May 17, 2015, in Jamaica, Queens. He was just 31 years old. Be on the lookout for further updates on Chinx on HotNewHipHop.
Joe Biden says he’s still proud of his son, Hunter, for overcoming addiction following the news that he’s been convicted on three gun charges. They’re related to laws prohibiting drug addicts from owning firearms. Additionally, Joe has confirmed he will not use his executive powers to pardon his son for the crimes. He faces 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000 but will likely receive a far lesser sentence as a first-time offender.
“I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome,” Hunter Biden said. “Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time.”
Joe addressed the case involving his son in a statement provided to CNN on Monday. “I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today,” Joe said. “Hunter’s resilience in the face of adversity and the strength he has brought to his recovery are inspiring to us. A lot of families have loved ones who have overcome addiction and know what we mean. As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases, but as a Dad, I have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his strength. Our family has been through a lot together, and Jill and I are going to continue to be there for Hunter and our family with our love and support.”
On Tuesday, Joe spoke at an Everytown for Gun Safety event. There, he discussed coincidently the actions his administration has taken to strengthen the country’s gun laws. Be on the lookout for further updates on Joe Biden and the 2024 Presidential Election on HotNewHipHop.
50 Cent is predicting the end of the world after Donald Trump received over $200 million in donations following his guilty verdicts on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York, last week. 50 reacted to the news in a post on Instagram, on Sunday night, advising fans to enjoy the moment before it’s over for good.
“SMH don’t worry the world’s almost over,” he wrote in the caption. “Just enjoy the moment and be happy.” Fans had mixed responses to the take in the comments section. “All the money in the world won’t make a difference, he lost by over 7 million votes last time and he’ll lose by more this time,” one user argued. “America doesn’t want that embarrassment as president ever again.” Another countered: “It’s over if he loses, there’s gonna be a war.”
Trump’s son, Eric, announced that the campaign passed the $200 million mark during an appearance on Fox News, on Sunday. “We’re well over $70 million. This is $21 donations, $43 donations, right, small-dollar donations,” Eric claimed.“If you add the large dollar donations to it, you’re over $200 million.” Check out 50’s response to the news below.
With his verdict, Trump became the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes. He’s still preparing to take on incumbent Joe Biden in the 2024 Presidential Election, later this year. Be on the lookout for further updates on 50 Cent as well as the upcoming election on HotNewHipHop.
According to an AllHipHop report, a court found Bankroll Freddie guilty of multiple charges related to a massive federal gun and drug bust in Arkansas. Moreover, these charges include possession and distribution of marijuana, along with other controlled substances, plus multiple counts of drug possession with intent to distribute and crimes relating to weapons possession. However, he also reportedly evaded several serious charges with this verdict, although it’s unclear at press time what specific charges he was acquitted for. Furthermore, this legal saga formed part of a wider initiative in the state to strictly and firmly combat gun and drug proliferation.
This crackdown eventually caught up to Bankroll Freddie back in 2022, and comprises a much more large-scale indictment and investigation concerning drug and weapons trafficking in Arkansas. In terms of how the charges connect, the FBI reported that gun distribution and possession played a role in advancing the primary drug trade that the indicted individuals worked in. In fact, this litigation accused two specific gangs, the Every Body Killas and the Loady Murder Mobb, of being at the center of narcotics activity in the state. Still, it’s unclear how deep the rapper’s guilty verdict ties him into the other aspects of this case, particularly these groups.
Not only that, but Bankroll Freddie’s link to illegal drug and gun activity in his state is, according to the FBI, a family matter. The Arkansas MC, real name Freddie Gladney III, apparently involved himself in this scheme through his father Freddie Gladney Jr. and through a few siblings, as well. Their evidence is alleged wire-tapped audio that details the drug dealing plot and how Gladney Jr. supposedly gave his children different roles to fulfill. However, this is all hard to scrutinize given the little information readily available on the case for the average user who will come across this case online.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the now-infamous Alec Baldwin film Rust, has been found guilty for her role in the on-set death of a cinematographer. The 26-year-old was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, which carries a potential sentence of 18 months in prison and a $5000 fine. However, Guiterrez-Reed was found not guilty on an evidence tampering charge. A date has not been set for her sentencing.
Gutierrez-Reed’s role in the death of Halyna Hutchins was largely one of negligence. The prosecution accused her of unknowingly bringing live ammunition to set. It reportedly remained there for 12 days before the fatal shooting. Prosecutors argued that Gutierrez-Reed’s job, if done correctly, should have spotted the mistake and removed the ammunition well before tragedy struck. Overall, the armorer was lambasted for her failings when it came to gun safety and other basic tenets of her job. Gutierrez-Reed is expected to appeal the decision.
Alec Baldwin Enters Plea In Rust Manslaughter Case
However, more convictions in the set death could be on the way. Alec Baldwin pled not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in New Mexico in January. Baldwin’s plea came after a grand jury chose to indict Baldwin over the death of a cinematographer on the set of the Western film Rust, for which Baldwin is also a producer. The grand jury chose to indict Baldwin on similar charges to ones that prosecutors initially dropped in April of last year.
The renewed indictment stems from a new gun analysis that was presented to the grand jury in Santa Fe. Baldwin has claimed that he pulled back the hammer on the replica firearm but did not pull the trigger. Baldwin will remain free pending trial but is prohibited from owning firearms, consuming alcohol, and leaving the country. He is also allowed limited contact with other members of the Rust crew for the purposes of promotion. Baldwin’s trial has been set for July. The film is yet to receive a release date.
50 Cent reacted to the guilty verdict in the murder trial of Jam Master Jay on Instagram, last week. “Welp that’s all folks,” he wrote with a shrug emoji. “R.I.P Jam Master Jay.” The two defendants, Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington, were found guilty on all counts. They face a minimum of 20 years behind bars, with a maximum of life.
Prosecutors claim Jay acquired 22 pounds of cocaine but cut Washington out of a deal to distribute it. From there, he and Jordan began hatching a scheme to kill him in response. On October 30, 2002, they accosted him in a recording studio and executed him with two fatal gunshots at close range.
United States Attorney Breon Peace addressed the verdict in a statement to EDNY, as noted by HipHopDX. “More than two decades after they killed Jason Mizell in his recording studio, Jordan and Washington have finally been held accountable for their cold-blooded crime driven by greed and revenge,” Peace said. “That the victim, professionally known as Jam Master Jay, was a Hip Hop icon and Run-DMC’s music was born in Hollis, Queens, in this very district, and beloved by so many, adds to the tragedy of a life senselessly cut short.”
In response to 50’s post, Immortal Technique reflected on the legacy of Jam Master Jay. He described him as “one of the first heavyweights” who ever believed in him. “He wasn’t just a Hip Hop legend was a good dude. Solid human being. Ain’t too many of those left. Rest in Power,” he said. Be on the lookout for further updates on 50 Cent on HotNewHipHop.
