GTA 6 is finally coming to gamers, sometime in the near future Although it has been 10 years since GTA 5, we have not gotten a sequel. Leaks have run rampant for years at this point. However, nothing has really been made concrete. Rockstar Games is exceptionally coy about these kinds of things. They will never let their fans know if something new is coming out. Essentially, you have to wait until Rockstar is ready, and not the other way around. They have done this for years, and it has worked for them.
However, today, they finally revealed that a trailer for GTA 6 is going to come out next month. Essentially, to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of the company, Rockstar wants to give fans something special. That said, this does not mean the game is imminent. In fact, the game could still come out months from now. Regardless, there are fans out there who remain optimistic that something will be released, sooner rather than later.
Of course, those who play on the previous generation of consoles are curious about how this will work out. It has been hard for many to get a hold of the PS5. Consequently, some want to play this game on the PS4. However, this led to a pretty hilarious conundrum on social media. It was extremely funny, and we’re sure many gamers will be looking to upgrade their hardware.

Grand Theft Auto 6, the highly-anticipated next chapter in the iconic franchise developed by Rockstar Games Inc., is on the horizon, generating tremendous excitement among gamers and fans. 10 years after the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, its follow-up stands as one of the most anticipated releases of this decade. With a trailer expected in December, the unveiling of GTA VI is a significant event in the gaming world.
What should we expect, though? Rockstar Games has frequently pushed the boundaries of gaming with each installment in the coveted series. Between alleged gameplay leaks and updates from Rockstar Games over the years, it seems that they’re planning to redefine the gaming world, once again, with Grand Theft Auto 6. Here’s what we know.
Rockstar Games Inc., the renowned developer of the Grand Theft Auto series, is gearing up to unveil its plans for the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6, with a trailer expected in December to mark the company’s 25-year anniversary. This upcoming installment in the iconic franchise has gamers and fans eagerly awaiting its release. Grand Theft Auto, initiated in 1997, evolved into a cultural phenomenon since its release. With a catalog boasting over 405 million copies sold worldwide, it received acclaim for its open-world gameplay.
Grand Theft Auto allows players to traverse recreations of cities like Miami, Los Angeles, and New York. Although early designs for GTA VI hinted at a vast North and South American setting, the final game will center around a fictionalized Miami and its surroundings. Players will take on the roles of two protagonists, a man and a woman. Leaks have provided glimpses of modern-day Vice City, fresh gameplay mechanics, and improved AI.
The Grand Theft Auto franchise has greatly evolved since its top-down view beginnings. With each iteration, it has embraced more cinematic qualities, featuring celebrity voices and immersive narratives. In an industry where competition in the genre of Hollywood-like games has intensified, players anticipate that Rockstar and Take-Two will elevate their standards. With budgets reaching nine figures for top-tier titles, Rockstar is poised to invest heavily in ensuring GTA VI matches the success of its predecessor.
Per Dextero, in a groundbreaking gameplay revelation, leaks revealed GTA 6 will likely introduce an unprecedented number of enterable buildings, significantly exceeding any previous title in the series. Furthermore, this innovative feature promises to be a central element of the game, directly influencing core gameplay mechanics like theft and robbery. Players will have the opportunity to explore a diverse array of locations, from traditional venues like bars and clubs to new environments such as pawn shops, supermarkets, apartments, and laundries. The inclusion of pawn shops, in particular, hints at an enhanced role in heist missions, building on the concept of robberies from GTA V. This exciting gameplay evolution looks like it will redefine the GTA experience. Additionally, the game seems like it will deliver a dynamic and immersive open-world environment for players to explore and interact with, making GTA 6 one of the most eagerly anticipated titles in recent memory.
Initial expectations pointed to a release sometime in Take-Two’s 2024 fiscal year, covering April 2023 through March 2024. However, the world of video game development is notorious for unexpected delays, as seen with titles like Cyberpunk 2077. Rockstar has kept its cards close to the chest, stating the game will be ready when it’s ready. Despite the anticipation, there is no rush, with GTA Online still enjoying a healthy player base.
The significance of GTA VI to Rockstar is immense. Its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto V, set records as the fastest entertainment release to reach $1 billion in retail sales and remained the best-selling game in the US over the past decade. The addition of GTA Online‘s multiplayer platform has been a significant source of revenue, further expanded by the introduction of a paid GTA+ subscription. Moreover, the release of GTA VI is expected to replicate this success and drive growth in revenue from online services and in-game content.
Grand Theft Auto 6, or GTA VI, holds a special place in the hearts of gamers and fans alike. The anticipation is high, and with Rockstar’s track record, the game is expected to deliver an unforgettable experience. There’s no doubt that it will solidify its position as a cultural phenomenon in the world of video games. While the exact release date remains uncertain, one thing is clear: GTA VI is set to make waves when it finally hits the shelves.
Rockstar Games has announced that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released next month. The surprise announcement came as part of a thread on X reflecting on the dev studio’s 25th anniversary. “We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you. Thank you, Sam Houser,” the post read.
GTA 6 has been stuck in a secretive development cycle for many years now. This has frustrated loyal fans, with the massively popular GTA 5 now being a decade old. An early build of the game was leaked to social media last year. This led to some minor drama online. Many believed that the test build’s low-quality graphics were indicative of the final game. However, aside from the tease of a trailer next month, there is no word on when the final game will be released.
As mentioned, the development of GTA 6 has been incredibly secretive and many years in the making. The most recent reports suggest that the game will a female protagonist for the first time in the series’ history. Furthermore, it’s believed that the multi-protagonist mechanic from GTA 5 will also be returning. GTA 5 was the first game in the series to feature multiple protagonists, whom the player controlled in various missions as part of a wider, interconnected story. The leaks from last year appeared to show two protagonists – Jason and Lucia.
Furthermore, the game is believed to be set in Vice City, the GTA equivalent of Las Vegas. Previously, GTA 3 was set in Vice City in the late 1980s, meaning that players will be returning to a familiar location at a later point in its history, as GTA 6 is believed to be set in the modern day. Additionally, the leaks from last year appeared to show the inclusion of new stealth mechanics, a major shift for the franchise. There was also significant improvement to AI pathing, especially in regard to when interacting with law enforcement. However, this is a developing story and we’ll have any updates and when they emerge.
“Everytime I see that Vice City image… just a flood of memories pour in! Whatever you got going on with this… I’m interested,” one wrote.
“50 you gotta explain it now! I just bought the rockstar games trilogy with Vice City. What is going on here. And yes I’m gon buy it again,” another added.

According to NME, early footage of GTA 6 was leaked online previously — prompting an arrest to be made by British police. The game franchise’s publisher, Take Two, noted that despite that happening, it won’t affect development.
“With regards to the leak, it was terribly unfortunate, and we take those sorts of incidents very seriously indeed,” Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick said in November. “There’s no evidence that any material assets were taken, which is a good thing, and certainly the leak won’t have any influence on development or anything of the sort.”
50 Cent’s no stranger to the world of video games. In fact, he’s one of the few rappers to successfully release not one, but two video games. The release of 50 Cent: Bulletproof arrived at the height of his career before he later followed up with 50 Cent: Blood In The Sand. Though they didn’t necessarily lead to critical acclaim or following that’s comparable to games like Call Of Duty, it undoubtedly proved that Fif was one of the best marketers in the rap game.
Unfortunately, there’s been a sharp decline in artists developing their own video game. Recent calls for the return of Def Jam: Fight For NY have been acknowledged by the iconic rap label, though there hasn’t been any real updates in recent times. However, Grand Theft Auto has undoubtedly brought more rappers into their universe, such as Dr. Dre, who appeared in The Contract. Though GTA 6 is supposedly emerging in the near future, it’s unclear who might be involved in the gameplay.
50 Cent Teases Grand Theft Auto Collab
As 50 Cent’s television resume continues to grow, it seems that he may have struck a deal with Rockstar. The rapper took to Instagram where he teased a potential collaboration surrounding Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. He didn’t specify what he was working on but he said it would be bigger than his hit TV series, Power. “I will Explain this later, GLG GreenLightGang this shit bigger than POWER trust me. BOOM,” he wrote.
Rockstar hasn’t shed light on the potential collaboration but there have been a few discussions surrounding a series based on Grand Theft Auto in the past. However, with 50 Cent’s recent non-exclusive deal with Fox to produce TV content, it seems like an upcoming show based on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City could become a great success. Still, fans are waiting on new information surrounding GTA 6. Last year, 53 minutes of gameplay leaked online, while several gaming sites hinted that the game would arrive next year ot the year after. Perhaps, 50 Cent’s recent post indicates his involvement in the highly-anticipated video game. We’ll keep you posted on any further updates.
