Drake And Future’s ‘Life Is Good’ Goes Diamond Less Than Two Years After Its Release

Drake and Future have given us numerous collaborations in their careers including their 2015 joint album What A Time To Be Alive and their most recent single, “Way 2 Sexy” with Young Thug. The duo has been able to strike magic on records time and time again, and their work has now paid off more than ever as one of their collaborations earned a unique accolade. Drake and Future’s 2020 track “Life Is Good” recently landed a Diamond certification meaning that the single sold 10 million or more copies since its release.

Dwight Elder, who is Future’s manager according to Hypebeast, took to Instagram to celebrate the accolade as Future received a plaque to commemorate the accomplishment. To make things better, the rapper received the plaque during a celebration for his 38th birthday.

Shortly after “Life Is Good” was released at the beginning of last year, the track debuted at No. 2 on the singles chart becoming Future’s highest-charting song at the time. It held on to that title until this year when “Way 2 Sexy” reached No. 1 to become the first chart-topping single in Future’s career. While “Life Is Good” may be the first Diamond-certified single for Future, it’s the third for Drake as “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott and “God’s Plan” previously surpassed the 10 million sales mark.

You can watch Future receive the plaque for “Life Is Good” above.

Young Thug is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Future Said He’d ‘Rather Hang With Jada’ After Someone Suggested He Connect With Will Smith

It never ends in this Instagram world of flexes, social media subs and text messaging rumors. After fans took Jada Pinkett Smith’s comments on Red Table Talk about the challenges of monogamy and vulnerability out of context, and began implying that she and Will had problems, she cleared the air on Twitter: “Only because I got time today. Stop making up headlines. Watch the @RedTableTalk I did with @GwynethPaltrow for yourselves. Will and I have NEVER had an issue in the bedroom. Thank you❣

But hip-hop’s favorite cad thought the situation still might be a chance to stir the pot. After a fan suggested Will Smith start hanging with Future, the rapper responded that he’d rather hang with Jada.

Rumors about infidelity and affairs have swirled around Jada and Will from time to time, including an allegation last summer that Jada and August Alsina had a relationship. The couple actually sat down for Red Table Talk themselves to clear the air, letting fans know that there was a period of separation between the two of them, and the relationship happened at that time. Ultimately, they’ve chosen to remain a couple for over 25 years, something that is incredibly rare in this day and age – especially for celebrities. But Future got his dig in, anyway.

We Asked Twitter What the Most Misheard Hip-Hop Lyrics Are

FaZe Kaysan Throws A Lavish House Party With Future And Lil Durk In Their ‘Made A Way’ Video

In the video for FaZe Kaysan’s debut single as a producer, plenty of FaZe Clan showed out to help support their newest member’s foray into music. After dropping the single, “Made A Way,” a few days ago — which Kaysan co-produced with Wondagurl — today the emerging producer has shared a video to accompany it. In the clip, Kaysan and Lil Durk start off driving around LA, before meeting up at a mansion in the Hollywood Hills for a multi-course feast. They link up with fellow FaZe members at the house, like FaZe Banks, FaZe Swagg, FaZe Temperrr, FaZe Rug, FaZe Adapt and FaZe Rain.

Later on, after plenty of clinking wine glasses and feasting, Future joins up for an evening and delivers his verse while a party slowly begins to build. Though the video doesn’t stray too far from the typical rap video script, we do get a few nods to Kaysan’s gaming background with shots of him at his computer, and the presence of his other Faze members. It sounds like this initial song is just the start for him, too, and he’s already performed live for the first time as an opener for Jack Harlow at the FaZe Clan Summer Tip Off in Las Vegas this summer.

Check out the clip above and keep an eye out for more from Kaysan coming soon.
