Odell Beckham Jr. Agrees To 1-Year Deal With Baltimore Ravens

Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to terms on a one-year deal to join the Baltimore Ravens for the 2023 NFL season. The deal is reportedly worth up to $18 million, with $15 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo and ESPN’s Adam Schefter. After news of the deal broke, Beckham shared photos of his son in a Ravens jersey on Instagram.

It will be the first time Beckham competes for an NFL team since Super Bowl LVI when he played for the Los Angeles Rams. The three-time Pro Bowler suffered a torn ACL during the biggest game of his career and missed the entirety of the following season.

As for who will be throwing passes to Beckham, the team has yet to answer that question. Lamar Jackson recently confirmed that he already requested a trade from the organization, although finding a suitor has proved challenging. “As of March 2nd, I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl,” Jackson wrote in a recent post on social media.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta previously said that he maintains hope the team will find an agreement with Jackson on a long-term contract. “We will continue to negotiate in good faith with Lamar, and we are hopeful that we can strike a long-term deal that is fair to both Lamar and the Ravens,” DeCosta said in a statement from March. “Our ultimate goal is to build a championship team with Lamar Jackson leading the way for many years to come.” Jackson is also reportedly seeking one of the largest guaranteed contracts in NFL history.

Travis Kelce’s Less Than Amazing First Pitch: Video

Travis Kelce is great at many things. The Kansas City tight end is proven he has the skills to host a podcast. He even has the skills to host SNL. However, the football phenom may have to retire his throwing arm. Kelce delivered the ceremonial first pitch for the Cleveland Guardians on Friday. The pitch was a less-than-ideal attempt at hitting the strike zone. Kelce will now join the likes of John Wall and 50 Cent on the list of worst first-pitch attempts.

The throw from Kelce made it to home plate. But it had to roll just to get there. Kelce isn’t going to live this one down for a few weeks. When his brother Jason gets to speak with him next, Travis will hope the video has been scrubbed from the internet. Of course, Kelce was a good sport about the event. The future Hall-of-Fame tight end has always shown to be a good sport. Unless you’re the mayor of Cincinnati. Then you better keep Kelce’s name and his team out of your mouth. Check out the video of Kelce’s pitch below.

Travis Kelce Should Stick To His Day Job

Kelce had hopes of bringing the heat, which looks like he did. But in the process, he almost took out Guardians pitcher Shane Bieber. Who I believe is in no relation to another popular Bieber. Kelce was showing off his Cleveland pride on Friday. The former Cincinnati Bearcat is from Cleveland. The city of Cleveland has many stars that have roots in the city. The most notable Cleveland athlete being LeBron James. Evidently, Kelce should ask LeBron for some notes before his next first pitch outing.

Travis Kelce will more than likely sit out a first pitch for a little while. If I were him, I would blame the throw on a cold shoulder. Most first-pitch volunteers don’t get a lot of time to warm up. The Chiefs organization may hope that was Kelce’s last throwing attempt for a while too. Because the team will want him to be at 100% within the next few months. Do you think you could make a better throw than Kelce? What are some other memorable first-pitch attempts? Sound off in the comment section. Chris Jones Claps Back at Tyreek Hill on Social Media

Count Chris Jones as the first Kansas City Chiefs player to publicly acknowledge Tyreek Hill’s recent comments. Earlier this week, Hill spoke to the media about his Miami Dolphins playing the Chiefs. Hill didn’t hold back on his former team. As the star receiver sent a warning to his former squad. The message didn’t go over well with Chiefs fans. As it seems, it didn’t go over well with the team either. Jones was quick to respond to the former Kansas City star.

“May God bless him.” That was the tweet sent out by Jones on Wednesday. Trash talk has been a vocal point of discussion for the past few weeks. Simultaneously, the trash talk between these two has only spiced up anticipation for the game. It was a surprising move when the Chiefs traded Hill to Miami last season. However, it seems as if Hill couldn’t be happier with the move. Hill also discussed that he only sees himself playing for a few more years before calling it a career. Evidently, Hill wants to hang up his cleats after the 2025 season.

Chris Jones Ready For Dolphins Matchup.

However, not all was lost after the Hill trade. Because the team is the current reigning Super Bowl champions. The Chiefs defeated the Eagles back in February. Claiming the team’s second championship under Andy Reid. The Kansas City offense hasn’t missed a beat in the absence of Hill. But the hopes are high in Miami this season. Basically, the Dolphins are being seen as heavy hitters in the AFC East. A division that has been owned by the Buffalo Bills.

The trash talk has already begun ahead of the NFL 2023 regular season. But this will not be the only matchup fans can’t wait to see. The Chiefs will also be playing the Eagles in a Super Bowl matchup. However, the 2023 schedule has yet to be released. Something tells me the Chiefs-Dolphins matchup will find a primetime slot. Who do you think will take home the bragging rights? Will Chris Jones make Tyreek Hill eat his words? Drop your predictions in the comment section. Cincinnati Bengals Star Recharged After New Evidence Surfaces

A Cincinnati Bengals star will now have an old issue brought to light again. Bengals running back Joe Mixon’s aggravated menacing charge will be re-opened by the city of Cincinnati Police. The incident was filed back in February of this year. As reported, Mixon allegedly held a gun to the head of a person during a road rage incident. The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that the charges were dismissed the next day so police could continue the investigation.

The alleged incident supposedly took place on January 21st of this year. According to the statement released by the Cincinnati Police, “This decision was reached following the discovery of new evidence during the investigative process. To preserve a fair and impartial judicial process for all parties involved, no investigatory details or evidence will be disclosed outside of official court proceedings.” The Cincinnati Bengals have already publicly commented on the latest news regarding Mixon and the alleged incident.

The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon,” the Bengals stated in a recent release. “The club is monitoring the situation and will not comment further at this time.” As news continues to release on the matter, the Bengals are still looking into the matter. This isn’t Mixon’s first time dealing with a serious legal issue. Also in college, Mixon was seen striking a woman on video. The incident caused Mixon’s draft stock to plummet. As it was released prior to the NFL running back being selected. However, the Bengals decided to take a chance on the former Oklahoma star.

Now Mixon could be facing serious repercussions if found guilty of this alleged incident. Mixon is expected to appear in court on April 19th. If found guilty of this incident, Mixon’s only troubles may not be legal issues. The NFL and the Bengals will have to review the incident for a possible suspension from the league. However, the legal ramifications far out weight what Mixon’s future playing career will look like. For the latest breaking news regarding the NFL, stay with us here at HNHH.

Sean McVay Update On Injured Matthew Stafford

The Los Angeles Rams were a different team without Matthew Stafford last season. The Rams suffered from a serious Super Bowl hangover last season. As Stafford was sidelined for most of the year. The Rams missed out on the NFL Playoffs. However, the 2022 regular season is a thing of the past. Rams head coach Sean McVay is ready to move on to this coming season. Having his quarterback healthy would help with the pressure on McVay. Will Stafford be ready to start the season?

According to McVay, Stafford has no limitations physically heading into this off-season. The news is huge for the Rams. Indeed the Rams traded a lot to go all in on the 2022 Super Bowl. As a result, the Rams won the Super Bowl and cashed in on their big season. However, since that Super Bowl victory, the sky has been falling for the franchise. Including a disaster of a Super Bowl parade. Not only have they had to deal with Stafford’s injuries. But the team has seen big-time player’s like Jalen Ramsey leave Los Angeles.

Matthew Stafford Is Key To Rams Success

Many around the league were happy to see Stafford find quick success with the Rams. The former number-one overall pick spent over a decade with the Detroit Lions. A decade with Detroit is enough to double the physical age of any player. The two greatest players in Lions history retired due to health issues. That being Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson. However, following his exit from Detroit, Matthew Stafford has yet to be healthy in his first two years with the Rams.

Stafford is known as one of the toughest players in the league. Needless to say, last season’s setback won’t affect the Rams quarterback you see on the field this season. The Rams are looking for a quick turnaround with the roster they have. The Rams are the home of the best defensive player in the league, Aaron Donald. Certainly, having both a healthy Stafford and Donald will give them a chance to make an immediate impact in 2023. For the latest NFL news, stay right here at HNHH.

Jets Add Another Aaron Rodgers Link As Trade Talks Continue

Aaron Rodgers will be a Jet…eventually. As the veteran signal caller’s divorce from the Green Bay Packers continues to drag out, his likely new team is continuing to make all the preparations necessary for his arrival. However, when that arrival may occur is a complete unknown. Neither side appears especially rushed to make a decision, even with the 2023 draft and its all-important capital quickly approaching.

So far in the offseason, as the Jets prepare for Rodgers’ arrival, they have made a multitude of moves to make the new quarterback comfortable. They signed Wide Receiver Allen Lazard, formerly of the Packers and a so-called dealbreaker for Rodgers. They also nabbed Nathaniel Hackett to run the offense. Hackett was Green Bay’s OC between 2019 and 2021. They also have four top-100 picks in the upcoming draft and could add yet more talent to build around Rodgers. Furthermore, with a mid-first-round pick and two second-round picks, the Jets have the ability to be aggressive in moving up. And while the quarterback they signed Thursday was not Rodgers, it was yet another piece in the Rodgers’ puzzle.

Jets sign QB Tim Boyle

Career backup Tim Boyle signed a one-year deal with the Jets, becoming the third quarterback on the roster alongside Chris Streveler and Zach Wilson. The 28-year-old Boyle spent the 2022 season with the Bears and has thrown three touchdowns and eight interceptions in 16 career games. Boyle went undrafted in 2018 and signed as a free agent with the Packers. He stayed in Wisconsin until 2020, backing up Rodgers and Jordan Love. Boyle has three career starts, all coming in 2021 with the Lions.

It’s more evidence of the Jets making moves to give Rodgers an offense he can slot right into upon his arrival. Rodgers called Boyle “just a really special guy” in 2021, “I watched him grow and develop over the years with us, not just as a person, but as a player. He’s got a big-time arm, and he’s very athletic, as well.” While the move may seem inconsequential to most, it’s another clear sign that the Jets want the roster Rodgers-ready when he eventually arrives.

Cam Newton Willing To Take Backup Role In NFL Return

Cam Newton has been vocal about returning to the NFL. The former league MVP believes that he can still be a valuable piece to a team in search of a QB. Recently the former pride of Auburn discussed how he can fit onto an NFL roster. Even saying that he is willing to be a backup to certain starting QBs. However, Newton didn’t rule out wanting to be a starting QB again. In his discussion on his playing future, Newton mentioned there are not 32 QBs better than him.

That statement could be hard to argue with the former MVP. But when Newton was last seen in the league, he wasn’t having a memorable run. Newton last appeared in the league with the Carolina Panthers. The franchise that he helped build into a winner once upon a time. However, 2021 was a different time. Newton appeared in only eight games for the Panthers that season. Starting in just five of those appearances. Injuries can be to blame for slowing down the former Heisman winner. However, Newton believes he can still play at an elite level.

Cam Newton Lists QBs He Would Backup For

While Newton believes in his talents, he understands that some teams don’t. Which is why he understands coming in as a backup. Newton mentioned a few names that he would be okay with backing up. That list includes Deshaun Watson, Sam Howell, Malik Willis, Justin Fields, Tua, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, and Aaron Rodgers. Newton even mentioned being a mentor to future QBs in the league. His list of names was long. Which could mean that Newton is chomping at the bit to rejoin the league.

Taking the chance on Newton being a starting QB would seem like a risk. However, having the former number-one overall pick as a backup could be appealing. Newton is a proven winner with a lot of knowledge of the game. If he wants to be a backup as he claims, then it couldn’t hurt a team to bring Newton in for a tryout. Having a veteran like Newton teaching a young QB could do wonders for a franchise looking toward the future. Do you believe Newton is serious about being a backup? Tyreek Hill Has A Retirement Date Set

Tyreek Hill has been one of the more amazing talents of his generation. With some of the greatest speed, the NFL has ever seen. Hill was one half of a dominant duo in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes. Now the speedy receiver calls Miami home. Hill joined the Dolphins last season and continued to be a down-the-field threat. However, Hill now is starting to plan his future without football. The Pro Bowl receiver gave an honest answer about his potential retirement plans.

In a recent interview with Sports Radio 810 WHB, Hill discussed just how long he wanted to go. “I’m going for 10, man,” Hill said. “I’m gonna finish out this contract with the Dolphins and then I’m gonna call it quits. I want to go into the business side. I want to do so many things in my life, bro.” It seems as if Hill wants to do more with his life than play football. With so many athletes playing too long, it’s refreshing to see a take like this. However, Hill has big plans for his future on the field plans as well. Including a meeting with Kansas City.

Tyreek Hill Ready For Meeting With The Chiefs

When the topic came up about Hill’s former team, he didn’t hold back. “Guess what we gonna do? I hate to say it, man. I hate to throw up the peace sign against y’all. I hate to do it! But guess what? I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day. I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day.” Hill will be treating his former team just like any other opponent. The Dolphins-Chiefs matchup will be a can’t miss game this upcoming season.

Hill will be one of the rare players to walk away from the game early. Fans have seen it recently with Rob Gronkowski, as well as Calvin Johnson. Walking away from the game while still physically healthy takes a strong mind. These players give their all every season. They should be able to enjoy the rewards that come with playing in the league. However, we’ll check back into Hill’s statements in 2025. Richard Sherman Claims Seattle Almost Ruined Wagner Deal

Richard Sherman isn’t afraid to grab the mic. The former Seattle Seahawk recently had a few things to say about his former team. Sherman discussed the team’s handling of bringing back Bobby Wagner to Seattle. Wagner, like Sherman, was a staple of a Seahawks defense that will go down as one of the greatest groups of all time. However, Sherman claims that the reunion of Wagner and the Seahawks almost didn’t happen.

In an interview with The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar, Sherman spoke on about his knowledge of the situation. “I was hoping that John [Schneider] didn’t mess it up, and he didn’t,” Sherman said. Sherman was hoping the Seattle GM didn’t “lowball” Wagner during discussions of his return. Sherman went on to say, “There’s a difference between lowballing and being disrespectful and they got borderline disrespectful. Thankfully, Bobby really wanted to be with the Seahawks, and he really wanted to come back home. Because other people offered him more money.” It does feel a little out of place for Sherman to be discussing contract details on a team he doesn’t work for.

Richard Sherman Glad To See Wagner Back In Seattle

Luckily for Seattle, Wagner and the organization worked out a deal. Sherman seems to be just looking out for a former teammate. The two shared many great seasons in Seattle. Including a Super Bowl ring and another Super Bowl appearance. In their tenure, the Seattle defense was known as “The Legion Of Boom.” A moniker that was well deserved by the fearsome unit. Richard Sherman and Bobby Wagner will forever be known as two greats to play their respective position.

It seems all is going right in Seattle at the moment. The team surprised everyone last season by sneaking into the playoffs during a supposed rebuild year. The rebuild seems to be on hold for the moment. The team recently re-signed starting QB Geno Smith, who excelled in 2022. Bobby Wagner’s return isn’t just for a retirement tour. But a chance to help this team build off of an incredible 2022. For the latest news inside the NFL, stay locked in with us here at HNHH.

John Elway No Longer With Denver Broncos

It appears that John Elway is no longer employed by the Denver Broncos. The Broncos legend announced that the team’s new ownership did not renew his contract. Elway has been a part of the Broncos franchise since his playing days. The news that ownership has decided to go another direction is somewhat shocking. However, Elway understands the business side of things. As a member of the Broncos staff, he helped the team land Peyton Manning. A move that resulted in the franchise’s third championship.

In an interview with 9News in Denver, Elway spoke about his recent departure. “I’ve enjoyed the relationship with the Broncos for a long, long time,” Elway stated. “I told Greg I’d be happy to be a resource for him and help in any way that I can. I just wanted the flexibility. They’re in great hands. I still plan on being around to watch and be a resource for Greg or George, if I can.” It is hard to imagine the Denver Broncos franchise without John Elway.

John Elway Happy With Results While In Denver

Elway’s playing career was just as successful as his time in the front office. In Elway’s final two years as the team’s QB, the Broncos won back-to-back Super Bowls. The games were iconic and the perfect example of a player’s perseverance. Elway has only been with the Broncos throughout his entire 28-year career. Being a part of one franchise for so many years is the definition of loyalty and success. However, Elway doesn’t completely close the door to rejoining the team at a later time.

The Broncos’ move to drop Elway is sending shockwaves through the league. New ownership is making a move that could ruffle feathers within the organization. However, Denver has been in need of a shake-up. The team has been getting raked over the coals with the recent addition of Russell Wilson. The former Seahawks QB was a shell of himself in the 2022 regular season. The Broncos moved a lot of future pieces to add the Super Bowl-winning QB. A move that could haunt the team later on down the road. For the latest news involving the NFL, stay locked in here at HNHH.
