Delta is just the latest move for the NFL GOAT. Last month, it was announced that Brady would be joining the board at Birmingham City FC, a soccer club in the second tier of English football. Earlier this week, the Manning Brothers dropped a hilarious skit in which they interviewed various celebrities to join them as a co-host for ESPN‘s ManningCast this football season. The Manning brothers have a fantastic, must-watch alternate commentary track for Monday Night Football for the past two seasons and are preparing to do so again for the 2023 season. However, it appears that they might be looking to follow the trend of First Take and Undisputed and add a third permanent co-host to their team.

One of the celebrities to try out for the role during the skit was legendary rapper Lil Wayne. While his cameo is very short in the actual skit, a longer version of his audition was also posted. “Weezy F. Please say the Weezy, please say the F. Please say something. I’m so ready. You’re gonna love it. I’m gonna kill it… I’m a millionaire, I’m a Young Money millionaire,” Wayne says in the extended version. He also drops a little freestyle to show off his versatility. “I’m a Louisiana boy, I’m with the Manning boys and this is the ManningCast and I got a family pass.” Wayne guested on the ManningCast last year.

It’s unclear if the Mannings are actually looking for a third host, or if this was just a little bit of promotional material for their return to ESPN2. Last week he made his debut as a guest analyst on Undisputed after Skip Bayless turned their friendship into a business partnership. Social media had an absolute time with it, especially after accounts like NBACentral referred to him as “NBA analyst Dwayne Carter”.

However, is the ManningCast a safer bet for Wayne’s media career? Last week, Front Office Sports reported that Undisputed had an absolutely dismal premiere week. 131,000 tuned into the season premiere of Undisputed, now anchored by Bayless, Richard Sherman, and Rachel Nichols. The following day, viewership dropped 8.4% to 120,000 viewers. Furthermore, viewership fell off a cliff on the third, falling another 35% to 78,000. A big problem for many viewers was that Bayless stepped back from the role of host to that of moderator, instead letting his newfound team do most of the debating.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they didn’t even have the high first-round draft pick that would usually have afforded them because they had traded it to the Seahawks for Wilson. Now Payton has taken the reins and is already bringing his hard-nosed attitude to the Mile High City.

In a recently published ESPN+ profile of Payton, Seth Wickersham revealed that Payton may already be at odds with his new QB. “He told Wilson that to salvage his career he needed to focus less on Russell Inc. “Will you fucking stop kissing all the babies?” he said. “You’re not running for public office.” It’s no secret that Wilson has leaned hard into his off-field ventures in recent years. Who can forget the bizarre and much-mocked Subway commercial? However, it’s clear that Payton, who coached Drew Brees to a Super Bowl, wants Wilson to be a football player first and a brand sponsor second.

Most experts see the Broncos improving on 2022 but not becoming a winning team just yet. For example, Fox Sports has the Broncos winning seven games in year one of the Payton Project. While it’s unlikely that 7-10 would be good enough for the top two in the draft, it might be enough to give the Broncos trade material to go after their QB of the future. The 2024 draft is highlighted by USC’s Caleb Williams and North Carolina’s Drake Maye. However, it appears that Payton views the main obstacle as Wilson’s lack of focus on football. Mike Williams, Former Buccaneers And Bills Wide Receiver, Dies In Construction Accident

Mike Williams, a former college standout who played five years in the NFL, has been reported to have died at the age of 36. Williams played college football at Syracuse, where he remains 7th in career receiving yards. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following an electric rookie year, he came within 100 yards of a 1000-yard season on two separate occasions, 2010 and 2012. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Sam Bradford. He was traded to the Bills ahead of the 2014 but only made eight catches in nine games and was cut. While he, briefly attempted to make a comeback in 2016, he was cut by the Chiefs during training camp.

According to a GoFundMe set up to help Williams’ family, he was struck in the head by a steel beam on September 1. Williams had been working in Tampa and that is where he was hospitalized and later died, according to the GoFundMe launched by his mother.

Teammates Mourn Mike Williams

Multiple sources have confirmed to me that former Syracuse and #Bills WR Mike Williams has passed away following injuries suffered during an accident while working at a construction site.

Prayers and blessings to his family!!,” Williams’ Bucs teammate Gerald McCoy wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “The top two receivers on the 2012 Bucs were Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams, combined for 17 touchdowns that season. Neither of them made it to 40 — Jackson lost at 38, Williams at 36. Just tragic,” added Fox Sports’ Greg Auman.

Neither the Bucs nor Syracuse have released a statement about Williams’ passing. However, social media has been filled with fans lamenting his passing. One blog described him as “never scoring a boring touchdown” while many were shocked to see someone they had enjoyed watching die at such a young age. Williams may not have had the longest NFL career. However, it was a career that clearly touched the lives of many people. Rest in peace, Mike.

Antonio Brown is someone who is seemingly always wrapped up in some sort of controversy. Over the past year, Brown was in the news due to his ownership of the Albany Empire in the National Arena League. Overall, this was supposed to be a cool endeavor for Brown. His father played for the team back in the day, and many saw it as a potential outlet for AB to fix his image. However, that turned out to be the furthest thing from the truth. Instead, his tenure as owner devolved into a mess.

The team was kicked out of the league as Brown failed to pay players. Moreover, players exited the team in a mass exodus, which led to all sorts of reports on how poorly he was running the team. Now, in a new report from ESPN, Brown’s ownership is being put under more scrutiny. As you are about to read, AB was allegedly threatening his players with guns. The instance in question took place because players on the team were upset about a deleted social media post. The post was about former player Mo Ruffins, who had passed away. When players questioned the deletion of the team’s tribute to Ruffins, Brown almost got violent.

Kodak Black Joins FAU Field Entrance Ahead Of Football Opener

The FAU Owls had a special guest at their tunnel exit ahead of their football opener on September 2 – Kodak Black. The 26-year-old ran out with the team, waving to the crowd with gusto ahead of the Owls’ season opener against FCS school Monmouth. The Owls are looking to improve on a 5-7 season in 2022, a record that led to the firing of head coach Willie Taggart. Taggart is now the running backs coach for the Baltimore Ravens. FAU is hoping that former Houston and Texas head coach Tom Herman can put the team above .500 for the first time since the pandemic-shortened 2020 season.

Black Inspires FAU To Win In Season Opener

Black remained on the sideline to watch FAU score a strong victory over the CAA side. FAU took the game 42-20 thanks to a handful of big performances. QB Casey Thompson threw for 280 yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, RB Larry McCammon added 125 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Elsewhere, WR Tony Johnson was Thompson’s primary target through the air, putting up 91 yards and two touchdowns. That included a magnificent 72-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Monmouth QB Marquez McCray threw for 249 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The Hawks travel to Towson for their next game.

FAU will look to continue their momentum against Ohio next week. The Bobcats are 1-1 after a loss to San Jose State and a win against Long Island. However, the rest of September will prove fairly challenging for the Owls. After Ohio, they travel to Death Valley to face #9 Clemson. After that, they have another road game against Illinois. Given their place in the AAC, FAU may have to face another ranked team in Tulane later in the season. But for now, the Owls and Kodak Black can enjoy a very strong start to their season.

It marked the program’s first road win since 2021 and showed the country what PrimeTime Colorado was all about.

Sander’s son Shedeur set a new single-game passing record for the school as he threw for 510 yards and 4 touchdowns. Meanwhile, two-way star Travis Hunter put up 119 receiving yards and an interception. Sanders kept his postgame remarks simple while discussing his team’s victory – “We comin’.”

How Far Can Sanders Take Colorado In Year 1?

2023 is a very weird season for Colorado. They were projected to finish 11th in the Pac-12, a conference that won’t exist next year. They moved to the Big 12 next year, where the now-defeated TCU will become a regular opponent. In short, this is a year for Deion Sanders to show everyone that he can build an FBS program. Come Monday, there will be hundreds of op-eds projecting Colorado to be a National Championship contender. Firstly, TCU is not the same team that made it to the National Championship. They were gutted by the NFL Draft, losing most of the players that made the run possible. Colorado shouldn’t expect the same treatment from a more consistent year-to-year roster (like USC). Secondly, Colorado had no ground game. Sure, Sanders threw for 510 yards. But he also lost 32 yards on five rushing plays and the team as a whole secured less than 100 rushing yards. Colorado could struggle with teams that get to the QB more consistently. As for what’s next – Colorado welcomes Nebraska to Folsom Field next week. The Huskers lost their opening game 13-10 to Minnesota.

Travis Kelce Begs Chris Jones To End Contract Holdout

This is me bargaining you to just come back and play football for the Chiefs. Please, we need you. We need you bad, and I don’t know what the situation is,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said on the podcast he hosts with his brother Jason. “He’s just the best defensive player in the league right now. He’s deserving of all the money in the world. Chris, I love you. Please come back now,” he added.

Jones has not been with the team since the start of training camp due to a contract holdout. Jones, who had 44 tackles and 15.5 sacks in his 2022 campaign, has one year left on his current deal. According to prior reports, Jones is seeking a four-year, $80 million deal that the Chiefs are not currently interested in giving him. Furthermore, the Chiefs traded for Neil Farrell of the Raiders to fill the defensive vacancy left by Jones. Farrell had 12 tackles in nine games as a rookie in 2022.
